Chapter 4

"So you are telling me that the Dungeon Master of Gluttony was actually a man who was trying to save his daughter?" Aika asked as Issei nodded in response before he took another bite of his breakfast.

"You are correct. The Queen Slimes are very nice now that they've been able to enjoy the outside world after being underground for so long, and the interesting part is when I tried to read more about the witch he and the slimes spoke about. Still, there was little to nothing in it besides what they already told me." Issei said as he finished his toast to see Aika look over the journal and ponder about the highlighted parts of the journal.

"A powerful witch who specializes in human experimentation and is able to bring out the true power of humanity? It sounds to me like this woman is definitely an alchemist since human experimentation is definitely something alchemists do to try and bring out 'the power to protect humanity.' Still, really, this woman seems to possibly be either a random witch on the run or possibly a Dungeon Master as well since she was in the Dungeon of Gluttony." Aika said as she finished up her share of breakfast before the two put away their dishes and headed to their school to get no marks on their attendance before classes ended for the year.

"That's my theory, but the problem is we don't know if she's even a Dungeon Master or not since he didn't really leave a picture of her in his journal, so we don't have a description to go on, which makes me concerned about that if she is a Dungeon Master like us, then her dungeon maybe somewhere in Kuoh Town. Perhaps we can speak to some of the others we do know about to gain more knowledge about the Dungeon of Death and Mutants." Issei suggested as Aika pondered this idea before replying to him.

"It's possible, but the only Dungeon Masters that I know who won't try to kill us is the Dungeon of Strays and Devils. But the problem is that I've never met them face to face, so I can't exactly tell you how they'll react to us asking them."

"But we know their location, so what's the harm in trying to find them?"

"They'll see it as an act of war since Dungeon Masters are capable of absorbing the dungeons of others to expand their own. Speaking of which, how is Rin with her new assignment?" Aika asked as she heard that Issei had Rin be the advisor to meet with the Aurora, who was in charge of the other Queen Slimes as they enjoyed protecting their dungeon and making it more habitable for them, along with Rin assisting them in said cleanup as well as training with Jako, who was happy having some more slime partners so they became a member of the Dungeon of Gluttony to help defend the dungeon from intruders.

Issei didn't mind as he was happy for Jako having many new sisters to help them become stronger and enjoy the world outside the dungeon, which was amusing since Jako was helping them take on a human form like themself.

"Rin and Jako seem to be tending to their original duties as well as their new assignment in the Dungeon of Gluttony. We're actually remodeling the lab to become a more habitable environment for the slimes since they aren't the sharpest tools in the shed and have no use for the lab, which is why they don't mind the lab being sent to some of my Demons who would enjoy such things in their floors." Issei explained as Aika whistled in amazement before they entered their school to see many of their classmates weren't there yet until they headed to their lockers to clean them out before the two students heard a sound in the air.

Meow!

Issei and Aika looked around, as they saw a black cat

and saw a black envelope with a red heart in Issei's locker.

Aika and Issei were surprised by this before Issei opened the envelope to see that the letter was written in calligraphy, and the way they spoke was as if they were royalty in either Britain or France.

My beloved Issei Hyoudou,

I am fully aware that you are the last Dungeon Master as well as Dungeon Master of Demons, and so to congratulate you on taking the Dungeon of Gluttony for your followers, I wish to meet both you and Aika Kiryuu in my chambers to formally discuss the possibility of an alliance between our Dungeons since I believe it'll be beneficial for us especially since I have information on the Dungeon of Strays and Death that you'll find useful.

Now, this is for your eyes only, Issei Hyoudou.

I know you may not recall who I am, but I wish to let you know that you saved me and helped me become my true self, so I wanted to thank you for being there for me and telling me how to accept my real self.

"Beloved? That's pretty impressive, Issei. Didn't know you had a secret admirer." Aika said with a cheeky smile as Issei blushed a bit and was surprised before replying to the Dungeon Master that he would like to see her before handing it back to the cat as it vanished into the shadows of a tree outside the school.

The duo headed inside and sat at their desks before the rest of their classmates began to enter the classroom. They talked about what their plans for the summer were until their teacher walked in and sighed as she spoke to them all.

"Everyone, I would like to inform you all that there's been another kidnapping in Kuoh Town. This time, it was a student here at Kuoh Academy. The police haven't been able to find anything about them, so they initiated a public inquiry that residents of Kuoh Town will have a curfew until the missing people are found as well as their kidnappers." The teacher said as the class groaned before the teacher continued.

"I know this is frustrating, but it's the only way to prevent more kidnappings. That is why we must be on the lookout for anything suspicious that may help the police as well." The teacher said as Issei and Aika were surprised by this before the day went by with just their homeroom being their only class of the day until they were let go to either prepare for their finals or enjoy their temporary freedom until after tomorrow morning's homeroom.

"I still can't believe that five people are missing, and the police haven't found a clue as to who kidnapped them or where they were taken," Issei said as he scrolled through his phone before Aika nodded in response.

"I agree. It's hard to believe that the police can't find the missing people, which makes me think that maybe they were placed in a place where normal people couldn't find them." Aika said as she thought of an idea in her head before pulling out the town map and marking the areas where the kidnapped people were taken from.

"They all seemed to have one thing in common. They were all in the same district near the town mall and the forest." Aika said as she drew some lines from the five locations to their center, where they all intersected.

"The abandoned church? No one's been in it for years after it was abandoned. I remember when it was open, but it sadly didn't last long after Rin and his family moved away." Issei said that Aika knew this and recalled that the church was also abandoned, but it would make for a good place to hide the people who were kidnapped as well as keep the Devils away from them due to the church harming them.

"I suggest we head there, and hopefully, we can find out if anyone is really responsible for the church," Aika said as Issei nodded in response before the lunch bell ended. Many of the students were able to leave the school after lunch and head back home to enjoy their early summer vacation.

Issei and Aika were walking back to their lockers when Issei accidentally bumped into someone as he heard a bit of a whine.

"Ow! That really hurt." Medusa said as she rubbed her rear before standing up and helping Issei up to his feet and inspecting his head. "You not hurt, are you, Issei? I wouldn't want one of my repetitive patients to come back to me with bruises for bumping into me."

Medusa said in an innocent tone, which made the guys and Issei blush. Aika felt her eyebrow twitch at the woman flirting with Issei before Issei replied to her.

"Oh no, no. It's my fault. I wasn't watching where I was going. I hope you can forgive me, Nurse Medusa." Issei said as Aika grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him as the two left her alone.

"Sorry, nurse, but I'm going to have to borrow this dummy for a bit. Go flirt with someone else!" Aika shouted as Medusa clicked her tongue. She headed back to her office and smiled as she looked at Murayama.

"Why, hello, Miss Murayama. Are you ready for a checkup?" Medusa asked as Murayama nodded as the nurse began to go through the normal procedure for a checkup until she noticed that Murayama had some bruises on her arms from her Kendo practice before the nurse began to apply some cream to the bruises.

"You girls need to take better care of yourselves since you may think you are invincible, but you are still in high school, so please be careful not to harm your body so much that others think you're abused at home," Medusa said as Murayama felt scolded but nodded in response.

"I promise. Sorry, Nurse Medusa."

"It's fine. Just make sure you get home safely due to the town's new curfew. Sometimes, I think the police do this stuff to make themselves look busy when they're not eating donuts." Medusa said as Murayama stifled a laugh as she could imagine that until the Kendo girl left the room. Medusa watched her leave until she saw that she was finally alone before seeing Aika and Issei chat outside the school.

"I'm already aware of your status, fellow Dungeon Masters, but I hope you'll be able to help me with my goals more than that useless old man," Medusa said as she drank some of her coffee before sticking her tongue out in disgust.

"Blech! Can't a school get some decent coffee? I know teachers make a good salary as well as nurses, but that doesn't excuse crappy coffee like this." Medusa said as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a cell phone before typing a message to her contact.

[Move the targets to the church to throw the other Dungeon Masters off. They've already been injected, yes?]

Medusa waited a bit until she received a text back.

[Of course, Lady Medusa. The captured five were infected with the DemiHuman strain to help them transcend from their weak human forms. Unfortunately, they are not stable mentally due to them being influenced by their new animalistic mindsets.]

"Such a shame when your test subjects fail you when you pour so much research into them," Medusa mutters to herself as she texted back to her accomplice.

[I see. Still, move them to the church and send the police an anonymous tip about their location. Once there, the police will be shocked to see five ravenous 'beasts' and possibly kill them. At least they'll find the five missing animals once they are dead.] Medusa replied as her accomplice quickly replied.

[As you wish, Lady Medusa. For a better world, only the strongest who can survive the transformation can overcome the challenges of transcending above our human forms. Thank you again, Lady Medusa, for blessing me and the others with the gift you've given us.] The accomplice said as Medusa smiled in response.

[My pleasure Ryouko. Now get to work, or else they'll get suspicious in broad daylight.]

[Of course, Lady Medusa.] Ryouko said as Medusa hung up the phone and smiled as the plan was coming together before seeing the fake skull's eyes glow as the mouth moved to speak to her.

"Medusa. I wish to discuss an alliance with you about the possibility of becoming a God among humanity." The skull said as Medusa smiled at this, knowing who was speaking to her.

"Wonderful. I was expecting to hear from you sooner rather than later, but where shall we meet?" Medusa asked as the skull replied to her.

"I shall send you a message with a teleport spell to a location in seven days. Continue what you are doing before I call for our meeting." The skull said before the eyes faded into blank eyes as Medusa smiled at this.

"Excellent. Soon, I'll have what I need to make my army unstoppable against the Biblical Faction, and not even that fool Adjuka can stop me this time. Not after what I did to him." Medusa said as her smile became sinister with a glint in her eyes as she enjoyed a fond memory.

"Oh Adjuka. You really underestimate us humans, thinking well, bending over backward, and doing as you say just because you and all other supernatural beings are superior to us? Well, I'm about to show you what happens when you let the snake get too close." Medusa said as she looked in her wallet and saw a picture of herself with the bane of her existence and the one who pushed her down the path she was on because she was a fool thinking Medusa could find love in the one person who she thought understood her.

Flashback.

"Medusa. I understand your desire to help humanity, but we cannot help every single human since many of them would die even when we heal them. Your son is one of those special people who is important and can save more lives with his gifts." Adjuka said as Medusa growled at the Devil.

"Special people? Do you mean a tool for the Devils to use to attack the other faction despite the temporary peace treaty? He should be a normal child actually making friends, not being trained to be some war machine that's meant to kill his enemies. How exactly is that fair to a child?" Medusa asked as Adjuka replied to her.

"I understand, but the Angels and Fallen will make the first move, so the New Maou Faction must be prepared to defend our faction," Adjuka stated as Medusa clenched her fist as she turned around and walked back to her station.

"So your faction is protected, and my son is used as a lab experiment and weapon for your species? How is that fair to our kind?" Medusa asked as Adjuka replied to her.

"Medusa. You must understand that humanity only has limited resources and capabilities due to them being an inferior species that is only capable of being developed to be soldiers for war or breeding purposes. That's why I keep you around so you can expand your knowledge so when my time passes, then you'll be able to carry on as my mistress and birth an heir for my family to take the crown and my place in the lab." Adjuka said as Medusa felt like her heart was ripped from her body. She stepped on the ground before asking the Maou she came to fall in love with.

"Is that what you really think of me?"

"Of course. You are an intelligent young alchemist who will benefit my future heir to take the title of Beelzebub." Adjuka said as Medusa's face was hidden by her hood before her eyes became dilated in the light before turning towards Adjuka with a snake coming from her back.

"Well, why don't we ssstart now, Adjuka." Medusa hissed as she and her snake left a scar and injuries on Adjuka that, even with magic, she wouldn't be able to recover from before she left the Maou Faction and vanished.

End Flashback.

"I'm sorry, Crona, for failing you as a mother, but I intend to make the Maou suffer and learn what happens when a so-called 'superior species' looks down on us 'lowly humans," Medusa said as she looked at a pink haired boy she loved before placing her wallet back in her uniform until she looked at the time.

"Oh my. Is it four in the afternoon already? I suppose time does fly when you are working, having fun, or, in my case, thinking about the past." Medusa said as she left the office and clocked out before smiling at the security guard coming in for the night shift before heading towards the neighborhood district near the school until she found a back alleyway and was alone before seeing the sewer lid.

"Wonderful," Medusa said as she became a snake. She slithered into the sewer and made her way to her dungeon before smiling at the test tubes and her minions.

"Ah! There's no place like home." Medusa said as she walked towards her throne room and sat on her throne before seeing a massive werewolf walk towards her.

"Ah, Free. I'm glad you are back. Tell me the five beasts have been released into the abandoned church." Medusa said as the werewolf smiled with his many teeth showing and nodded.

"Of course, Lady Medusa. Ryouko has already moved them into the church where they are taking residents in, although there was a problem with transporting them." Free said as Medusa motioned for him to continue as Free continued his explanation.

"Well, the issue was that the five killed each other and seemed to combine into a powerful beast that matched the strength of a Giga. A Chimera of the five beasts: a lion, a goat, a king cobra, a Komodo Dragon, and a bat. The five merged and resided in the dungeon as we speak." Free said as Medusa was impressed by this since she wanted to see how strong a Chimera truly is if its strength matched a Giga Beast.

"Send Mizune and Blair to keep an eye on the Chimera to make sure it doesn't leave the area. Is there anything else?" Medusa asked as Free nodded in response.

"Yes. It appears that four Fallen Angels have sneaked into the town and are heading to the church as we speak with a total of fifteen rogue exorcists. Should I go and intercept them?" Free asked as Medusa gained a wicked smirk on her face.

"No. Let them head towards their death. It'll be amusing to see how a Chimera utilizes the powers of a Fallen Angel to deal with the Devils and should the other Dungeon Masters intervene. I'll be able to see how strong they really are and if they're willing to reveal themselves to me." Medusa said as she then approached a girl running towards her before leaping into the snake's arms. The girl then rubbed her head on Medusa's chest, making the woman giggle at the girl's affections.

"Hello, my little Inui. How's my favorite little beagle doing today?" Medusa asked as the girl known as Inui smiled up at her and replied with her dog ears on her head, making her even cuter.

"I'm doing well, mommy! I managed to kill a few more traitors who were disgusted by the gift that you gave them. Such ungrateful people should be killed for denying the gift you blessed them with." Inui said as she pouted cutely before Medusa gently rubbed the girl's head and kissed her forehead.

"That's a good girl, and remember, just because you are a beagle doesn't mean you should just tuck your tail and run. Face your fears head-on, and you'll be able to get far. Now, would you like to snuggle with mommy?" Medusa asked as Inui nodded. Free chuckled at the small girl before patting her head, making Inui smile at her big brother figure before the werewolf left them alone. Medusa led Inui to her chambers and snuggled with her on the bed.

"I'm so happy to have a daughter like you. A shame Crona couldn't join us." Medusa said as Inui looked at her with curiosity and asked.

"Mommy. Why is Crona still with the Devils even though they're evil?"

"That's because the Devils brainwashed him and turned him into a weapon. The Devils are selfish and cruel creatures who do not care about us humans, just like the Fallen and Angels who look down on us, which is why I do this to give us a fighting chance to defend ourselves for the day they attack first. You understand, don't you, Inui?" Medusa asked as Inui nodded her head before snuggling into Medusa's bosom.

"Of course, mommy. Even if those disgusting rats, crows, or doves come to attack you, I'll kill them before they lay a finger on you." Inui said as Medusa chuckled at her before patting her head.

"That's a good girl; now let's have some nice quiet time to ourselves," Medusa said as she snuggled with her daughter and relaxed as she felt safe next to the girl she saw as her daughter after rescuing her from the orphanage that threw her away and beat her just because she wanted a friend.

Later.

Kuoh Academy Rooftop.

Issei and Aika were standing with Xenovia and Loki at their Master's side as they were waiting for the Dungeon Master of Devils to appear.

"I'm getting a bad feeling, Issei. Maybe we should come tomorrow?" Aika asked as a voice then stopped them.

"My apologies for being late, but I had to make sure that we would be alone." The voice said as Aika and Issei looked in the night sky to see the full moon and a figure in the moon's light before said figure flew down and landed on the surface of the school's rooftop.

Issei and Aika were surprised to see that she looked old enough to be a first year at their school and saw she was wearing a Gothic Lolita outfit since her attire consisted of a frilly black gown and jacket, red ribbon bow tie, a red bat symbol design cross from the front to the back on her dress, another red cross on her shawl and bottom half, black pony heel boots with a red cross, and a red ribbon on her right ankle.

Her hair was dirty blonde and tied in pigtails as she walked towards them both before smiling at them both, but more towards Issei as she then touched his cheek and spoke to him.

"I'm happy I can finally show you my true self, Issei." The woman said as she kissed Issei's lips, much to his, Aika's, and even Xenovia's, while Loki was amused as he pulled out a bag of popcorn and ate some of it while watching the girl tongue his Master's boyfriend.

"Wow. Looks like you got beat by another Dungeon Master." Loki said as Aika shook her head, pulled Issei away from the woman, and asked.

"Who the hell are you, and why did you just tongue him like that?!" Aika shouted as the woman giggled and replied to her question.

"My apologies, but I knew Issei back when the first year of high school began, and he helped me accept my real self, so I wanted to thank him by giving him my gratitude for saving me all those months ago." The woman said as she then curtsied before introducing herself.

"As for my name, it is Gasper Vladi. I am the Dungeon Master of Devils. It's an honor and pleasure to meet you both." Gasper said as she smiled with her eyes glowing in the moonlight.

"You have many questions for me, and I shall answer them, but why don't we move to a more suitable location than the school rooftop," Gasper said as she snapped her fingers. The shadows moved all around the five as they were then moved to what appeared to be a garden with many roses blooming in them, but instead of just red, there were also black and purple roses.

Issei, Aika, Loki, and Xenovia were in some fancy medieval attire since Issei was dressed as a prince, Aika was a princess, Xenovia was a knight, and Loki was dressed in his normal clothes.

"I feel offended I didn't get a wardrobe change," Loki said as Aika patted his back.

"Well, your clothes are from that of a jester."

"It still hurts feeling let out," Loki said as anime tears flowed from his eyes while Issei and Xenovia were impressed by their new attire.

"I must say you pull the look off very well, Master. If I were a princess, then I would definitely court you." Xenovia said as Issei scratched the back of his head before asking.

"But isn't the prince supposed to do that?"

"Oh, I don't mind courting you instead. It's how we would be able to not only begin our relationship but also prepare ourselves for when we get married and become one." Xenovia said as Issei calmed her down.

"Woah! Uh, let's take it a bit slow first before we start talking about wedding designs."

"Hm. You do make a point." Xenovia said as she began writing in a book that was labeled.

'I'm going to have to ask who gave her that book from Rin before I kick their ass for putting those thoughts in her head.' Issei pondered before a giggle broke his train of thought. He turned to see Gasper smiling at them all as she sat on the end of a table with tea cups and pots, utensils, and snacks appearing before her.

"Please sit and have a bite to enjoy. In my garden of eternal night, one can enjoy the beauty that comes from nighttime but also enjoy the beauty of the aesthetic." Gasper said as she smiled before picking up her cup and taking a sip, smiling at the warmth seeping into her core.

Issei and the others decided to go along with this as they sat down and enjoyed some of the treats and drinks before Issei spoke to Gasper.

"So you wanted to speak to us about a possible alliance between our dungeons?" Issei asked as Gasper smiled as she set her cup down and nodded.

"Of course. I wish to discuss with you both an alliance between our dungeons to not only help better defend our home but also to prepare for future challenges that will arise, such as the Dungeon of Death. The Necromancer has been outside of the town and never cared about its residents; however, that's what I thought until I received a message from him saying he shall be coming in six months to declare war on Rias Gremory and Sona Sitri. He shall avoid our dungeons if we either side with him or stay out of his way, and as much as I'm not a fan of my King, I don't want to let innocent people die because I stayed on the sidelines, which is why I wish to ally so we can stop him when he comes to Kuoh Town."

Gasper said as Issei and Aika looked at each other before looking at Xenovia and Loki, who nodded in agreement with their masters before Issei spoke to her and replied.

"We're in, but I thought he was trying to create a Philosopher's Stone to become immortal. Did he choose not to continue?" Issei asked as Gasper shook her head.

"No. I guess that he's already got the stone and is planning on taking out the princesses to draw out Sirzechs and Serafall so he can kill them and absorb their powers. The Dungeon of Death is not as simple as one thinks. This man has been around for thousands of years and has assimilated a whole army to assist him in battle. Which is why we'll also need some extra help from the Dungeon of Strays so we can call upon her help when he arrives." Gasper said as Aika then asked her a question.

"I've heard that the Dungeon Master of that one. Apparently, she was actually an exorcist before being betrayed by her fellow exorcists. She left to die before a Devil turned her into a servant and mistreated her until she snapped and killed her Master before running away. The strays who stayed there were in a situation similar to hers, but many others hated being treated as enslaved people by the Maou. She's a healer and a fighter, so perhaps we can ask her for help." Aika said as Gasper replied to her after eating one of her strawberries.

"I've met her a few times, and I was honestly surprised to learn that she was an exorcist, but that didn't define her since she had accepted she was no longer human but decided to dedicate her life to saving others who were suffering in a cruel state like she was back in her master's clutches," Gasper said as she snapped her fingers as a paper and a quill along with some ink appeared before she floated them towards Aika and Issei.

"So, shall we sign the contract and celebrate our new alliance?" Gasper asked as Issei and Aika looked over the contract, and it seemed fair to all parties before they had Loki and Xenovia look it over before nodding as well.

"We accept."

"This is acceptable for the Dungeon of Dreams."

"As long as you don't betray my master, then I'll happily follow him."

"I am the same as Xenovia. I follow Lady Aika wherever she goes."

The two dungeon masters signed the contract. Gasper smiled in delight and clapped her hands as a bottle of champagne appeared with five glasses.

"I would like to propose a toast to our new friendship and alliance," Gasper said as the others clicked their glasses and cheered for their new friendship as they enjoyed learning about Gasper Vladi and the Dungeon of Devils.

However, as the night carried on, blood was spilled under the moonlight.

"D-Dammit." Raynare stuttered as she tried to escape the church as the beast that killed her pawns before Dohnaseek panted as he flew next to her.

"What the hell was that? There was no record of a Chimera in the church!" Dohnaseek yelled before Kalawarner punched him in the face.

"Shut it! Do you want that thing on our asses? We're lucky to have escaped from that thing thanks to Freed and those other exorcists." Kalawarner said as she focused on healing her left arm, which was severely damaged due to the beast's claws, before looking at Mittlet, who was panting as she struggled to breathe.

"Mittlet is barely breathing, and we can't teleport due to all of us being unable to do so because of that monster's venom. We need to find a way to get out of the forest and find shelter." Kalawarner said as Raynare agreed with her before Dohnaseek stopped as he pointed toward a lake.

"I think I just found our ticket out of the forest," Dohnaseek said as he pointed towards the lake, only for Raynare to see a small building on top of the lake. She wanted to say something, but the roar of the beast chasing them.

"Stay low and quiet. Kalawarner, keep an eye on Mittlet and make sure she keeps breathing. Dohnaseek, watch our backs." Raynare said as the others nodded before Raynare readied a light spear, as did Dohnaseek. Before they began walking towards the lake, the wind carried the sounds of many animals until a sword was aimed at Raynare's head.

"Freeze! Who goes there?" Rin called out as she had a sniper rifle aimed at Raynare's head, who held her arms in the air.

"My name is Raynare, and my comrades need sanctuary," Raynare said as she swallowed her Fallen pride before Jako appeared next to Rin and whispered in her ear. The two spoke too low for Raynare to hear until Jako walked towards the group of four and asked.

"How many were injured?" Jako asked as Raynare explained.

"One with a severely wounded and broken left arm while another is poisoned by the monster chasing us. Please help them." Raynare asked as Jako then looked at Kalawarner and Mittlet before nodding.

"Very well. Be quick; otherwise, that creature you are talking about will come." Jako said as Raynare nodded and led her group into the small building. Jako and Rin stayed behind as they observed the area around them before Rin spoke to Jako.

"Alert Xenovia about the situation and our temporary guests. Do not alert Master until we know more about the Fallen and the beast they spoke about. Also, have Aurora and the other girls keep an eye on the Fallen; maybe Alice can make an antidote from the poison in the small Fallen Angel." Rin said as Jako nodded in agreement with her before they headed towards the entrance and set up the dungeon barrier, hiding as they looked and saw a massive chimera emerge from the forest with the lion's head and the goat's head looking around as the snake tail tasted the air with its tongue while ears were twitching as poison seemed to drip from the three beasts mouth.

The snakehead then looked towards the lake as it hissed and extended its head over the lake before looking inside of the lake while the lion tried to go into the water before a zap scared it away.

The goat head then looked at the lake as it blew fire from its mouth, but the water didn't evaporate as the fire quickly extinguished. The three heads hissed in anger and annoyance before the beast then retreated into the forest.

"Our prey esssscaped usss but I sssssmelled them. The Fallen are in the lake. What ssssshould we do, brother? Ssssisssster?" The snakehead asked as the lionhead replied.

"We will feast on the humans who attacked us before we gather more strength to enter the lake. I smelled the blood from the blue-haired one. She was there, I know it." The lion head said as the goat nodded.

"Indeed. The witch gave us the ability to use magic, and we shall find our prey to show our strength to our mistress. Once she sees how we can kill the Fallen, then she shall reward us and make us equals!" The goat head said as her other heads agreed with her.

"Indeed. But why stop at the Fallen when we can also kill the Devils to make our mistress the ruler of this town?" The lion head suggested as the snake head hissed in joy.

"Yessss! That will sssurely make mistresssss very happy. Let's leave for now and prepare to make our move againssst those foolish batsss." The snake said as the Chimera reentered the church as they feasted on the corpses of their fallen foes.

Scene!

The arc is set as the characters are in their respective roles. Now it's time for the Chimera to show just how much of a threat it really is. Soon, the Devils will feel true fear when the hunters become the hunted.

Gasper's backstory will be shown in the next chapter, and there will be more of Aika's and Issei's dungeons as they prepare for the threat of the Dungeon of Death.
