AN: So…this is awkward. For those of you in the know, I have an AO3 I cross post to. Long story short, still getting used to it. Tags, the fact that I have write author's notes in , that type of stuff. So I do apologize for the day delay between here and now. Or two days I suppose? Time is confusing. Anyways, enjoy!
Ziin was a man, genuinely under the pretense of order. He always had a catchphrase he'd always say at the beginning of battle. A little added flair to his already eccentric form.
"I want to feel emotionally stirred."
That's what he wanted when he first supported Ace. To feel something. And certainly, he did in due time. Being able to look ahead towards the future as opposed to becoming obsessed over Ace's past. Not dwelling over what he had been and instead
But, as he learned the hard way, sometimes one wished they really didn't feel anything. Especially when he ended up being pushed down on the ground the moment he stepped out of the portal, sending him tumbling to the ground. He was lucky he was holding onto the box, and he was lucky that his Laser Raise Riser didn't fall from his wayside into the chaos. Keeping himself tucked like a ball, he heard various different voices as they ran in any direction away.
"Man, that girl is nuts!"
"When the hell did she get two hammers!"
"Honestly, Cardin kind of deserves what's gonna happen to him."
"Not like that, though!"
Ziin was honestly really confused at not just where the hell he somehow ended up, but, based on the sound of it…
"How did Thunar already have the Hammer form of Powered Builder?!"
He swore that ONLY the Powered Builder Buckle was in there. There was no Hammer involved nor no…
He sensed a presence suddenly show up right next to him. Looking up, he saw a young, dapper older gentleman. Wielding a cane as some type of secondary support, he pushed his glasses and adjusted his silvery hair as he looked down at Ziin.
"The DGP has changed within the past few years, hasn't it young man? So young, these new participants." He claimed, as Ziin got up, staring at the man in confusion. The silver-haired man seemed to notice this. "Ah, I see. I am Ozpin, Headmaster of Beacon Academy. I have former students become Riders under the Desire Grand Prix. There are quite many these days."
"As in "Oz…" Ziin began to ask, before he was quickly shushed by the Headmaster, as he gave a stern stare.
"Not anymore. Just Ozpin. Unfortunate that the DGP still keeps records of my existence around." He claimed. He pushed Ziin and himself out of the way deftly as an entire cafeteria table flew past them. Ziin's eyes widened at the sheer display of brutality, as Ozpin adjusted his outfit, lightly sipping on the small thermice he had as if this was a common occurrence.
Ziin quickly pulled out the Spiderphone, trying to contact Tsumuri. He wasn't gonna enter yet another life or death situation. Not like this; not in a huntsman academy of all places. After a little bit, the line came through, as Tsumuri smiled.
"Before you say anything, Ziin, my apologies. The unknown sponsor got the years wrong; it was 9 years in the future, not 14." She claimed factually, as Ziin clearly was flustered. This was, of course, the least of his concern given the situation.
"Well, I'm currently being attacked by chairs and tables from a cafeteria. Heard the name Cardin from someone; any idea what's going on?" Ziin asked, as Tsumuri nodded. As Ozpin continued to stoically look towards the chaos going on in the other room, Tsumuri took a moment, looking down at some type of terminal slightly out of view.
"So?" Ziin asked, as Tsumuri simply nodded her head.
"I managed to ask S.A.V.I.O.R. Through Ace's credentials. Apparently, at this point in time, in approximately 67.7% of known timelines, Cardin Winchester bullied Jaune Arc about false transcripts. In approximately 55.4% of those timelines, his team finds out about it and tries to make Cardin surrender. I have no other information at the moment." Tsumuri briefly explained, as Ziin could only look up towards the Headmaster, as he looked towards Ziin.
"Then I presume that we find out what's truly going on then, Mr. Ziin. Shall we?" He asked Ziin, as he got up. After a vicious gulp and hanging Tsumuri up (Ziin probably owed her something. Maybe some quick-made noodles or something; she seemed to love that), the two walked into the chaotic cafeteria. Only to be met with what could only be described as…well…
"I'm queen of the castle, Cardin! Beg for my forgiveness!" Nora yelled. Or at least, someone with Nora's voice claimed. Wearing a suit of mostly black armor; she wore a Chestplate of black and yellow. That Chestplate contained what looked to be retractable arms on the back, one of them carrying what seemed to be a hybrid between a hammer and a grenade launcher, said weapon adorned in pink and white. Her helmet was much like fhe object she originally had; a red and blue sloth. It looked a little scuffed, but otherwise it looked…alright, per say.
The cafeteria itself was a disaster. Numerous . A barricade of tables was set up nearby, a number of what looked be glyphs around said tables. Clearly students who weren't able to escape the madness. More than likely Zhanshi among them.
Clearly, a situation Ziin did not want to be in at the moment. Especially with, as far as he saw, a lightning-semblances Kamen Rider running around with a giant hammer.
He saw as Ozpin took both of the boxes.
"Leave this one with me. Let them believe you are still active for a little longer. Handouts like this at the Academy tend to be, how shall we say…hectic."
As Ziin heard the portal open behind him, he decided to wait a little longer. See what came out of this situation.
"Alright, alright!" He shouted, as he opened what he was in his hand; it was…
…a cinnamon roll. Out of all things. Thunar gingerly picked up the cinnamon roll in hand, the two hammers clambering to the ground with a thunderous thud. Both of them, with the side effect of potentially causing minor earthquakes at Beacon Academy. Ziin now clearly did NOT want to see what was going to happen next.
That was the last thing Ziin could see as he exited Remnant again. Hoping he would never return to that godforsaken place…
…only to be shoved a box from Tsumuri, as she gave a bright smile (was that mischief on her face?), careening himself right back into the same portal.
As he careened back into the cafeteria, he slammed his back into someone on the way.
"Oh, sorry!" A young woman shouted, as she eased on Ziin's appearance. Turning around, Ziin noticed a red ponytail and gold accessories. Clearly, a very gold adorned, polite woman. Totally. Ziin immediately noticed that they were using an overturned table as a barricade . "But um…you came at about the worst time imaginable sir."
"How?"
"Um, well…" the red-haired tried to say. Only for the most shrill shriek of a young girl to yell over their current location.
"FOOD FIGHT!"
Ziin was gonna regret everything, wasn't he?
