From the end of the world experience they went to 1863. It had been magical until they caught up with the Gelth. It had been nothing short of an adventure as the three of them rushed to save Cardiff but in the end they managed to get it done.

Of course, not before creating a rip in time in the middle of Cardiff.

Later that night, Rhea found herself unable to sleep. Now don't get her wrong, she loves her room and her bed but tonight, nothing seemed to be helping. For her, unfortunately that was normal. There were nights where she would stay up staring at the ceiling unable to will her body to sleep. It was something that had started in her childhood, but slowly started getting worse throughout the years. Now it seemed that no matter what she tried and no matter how hard she tried, she still only ended up getting four or so hours of sleep a day, and sometimes only that much for two days.

She had tried medications in the past but never liked how out it of they made her feel.

Letting out a sigh, she rubbed her hands on her face as she got out of bed, trading her lack of a top for a long sleeve shirt as she shoved her watch into the pocket of her sweats. Shutting her door softly, she let her fingers trail along the wall, enjoying the warm feeling provided. It was as if the ship really knew her, inside and out.

God she loved the TARDIS.

"Do you know where he is?" her voice came out in a whisper as she passed her friend's room. Rose had gone to bed early that night, exhausted from the whole ordeal with the Gelth. Lights dotted the floor of the ship and guided her down the hall and to the left, down another hallway.

Rhea knew that they needed to talk. She needed to figure out what and who she was. She had long since grown tired of the confusion in her life, the dreams, the memories, if she could call them that.

Humming softly to herself, she wasn't surprised to find him in the kitchen, nursing a cup of tea. She gave him a soft smile as she poured herself one, tapping her nails on the side of the cup as she leaned against the counter, trying to figure out what to say. Her mind was too jumbled up to think clearly.

"Couldn't sleep?" He asked, and she nodded. She took in what he was wearing, a grey sweater and a pair of sweatpants. Something more casual.

"Yeah, I have nights where I can't sleep and I guess tonight is just one of them." She shrugged, a frown on her face.

"Earlier, you said something about a war, what war were you talking about?" He asked, lips twisting slightly. Rhea sighed.

"I don't really know. I've had glimpses and flashbacks about it. It was horrible, so much death and suffering." She ran a hand through her hair as she took the chair next to him. "They have always sort of happened and I've never been more confused about who I am in my life before."

"When did all this start?" His voice was soft, eyes shining with concern.

"I don't remember my childhood much. I was found on the steps of an orphanage at around a year old with only my pocket watch with me. I never got adopted and once I was 18, I was kicked out with a little bit of money. The dreams, they've alway sort of been happening?" She spoke, letting out a breath. "They used to be simple, of me, or at least I think it was me, going through the fields of flowers, sitting in a field at night looking at the stars. Going to classes. Those sort of things. And then once I turned fifteen I think it was, they changed. Dreams of the war started to fill my nights, and I had to listen to the screams of my people as they were murdered." A tear escaped an eye. "I think I was only young, not even done with schooling yet when I was sent away. My mother was killed by one of the creatures but she was able to send me away in her ship. I was shot before I changed into a human and then everything went black."

She took another sip, and risked looking up at his face.

She could see the pain etched in it, and he reached a hand out and took hers in his.

"I have this diary in which I write down everything, and the watch. Sometimes I can hear a voice in it. I feel like I'm going mad, Doctor, absolutely mad."

"Can I see them, your things?" He asked, moving his cup of tea aside. She slid them over, knowing that she trusted him enough to look at her diary. She finished her cup of tea as he read. She poured herself a new cup, rubbing at her head, a pounding starting to form. It was like something was trying to force its way into her head.

Looking up, she could tell his face had paled, and there was a look she couldn't quite figure out on his face.

"What is it?" She asked, her teeth sinking into her bottom lip.

"The watch, is it broken, can you open it at all?" He asked as he got up to pour more tea into his mug.

"It won't let me, it's stuck."

"When it's time, it'll open. Just, trust me on this Rhea. Okay?"

"I- Yeah, okay." She nodded, deciding to trust him. "But Doctor, who am i?"

"You're not human, I can tell you that."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Those dreams are more than likely hints that you've lived another life."

She had lived another life, but how did she forget about it?

A yawn escaped her, and she got up and placed her cup in the sink.

"Thank you, for tonight. It's helped, i'll see you in the morning." She spoke as she headed out, thoughts once again milling about her head. She shut the door to her room and flopped onto the bed.

Not human

At least that was the closest thing that made sense.

What was she then?

God, Rose was going to freak out. No, wait, she wouldn't tell Rose. Not until she knew everything.

But how long would that take her?
