The young marine Sakazuki stepped off the boat and onto the sandy shores of Nwayo, ready to begin his intense month-long training. After bidding Borsalino ado and watching the marine vessel sail off, He makes for a small village named Yucca. It's small but beautiful, each building painted with a vibrancy that competes with the surrounding lush. Several citizens are meddling around, going about various tasks. Upon seeing the stranger, many citizens stop to stare and mutter in their native tongue. Sakazuki, however, paid no heed and headed deeper into the village. Following the dirt path, He looked around at the many homes and businesses selling exotic foods and local wares.
He'd heard most of the villagers speak in a native tongue that he wasn't familiar with. This was fine seeing as he wasn't much for useless conversation anyway. After some time, two older natives approach him. The older of the pair, a short, elderly, and portly woman, held a happy expression. Meanwhile, the middle-aged man seemed to be hiding a nervous expression. The young marine assumed they were in charge of the town in some way. He stood firm as they stopped in front of him, Sakazuki basically towering over both of them.
The man cleared his throat after a brief silence. They introduce themselves. "Hello, I am Chief Taro, leader of this village." A tall slim, tan fellow with a bushy handlebar mustache and goatee. His expression was stern, but his dark eyes read of fear, as he took note of Sakazuki's marine uniform. Sakazuki ridiculed his cowardice silently. The older woman introduced herself next. "That's Granny Hutia to you – yip." She said stepping even closer to the young man to scrutinize his appearance. "Please excuse the village elder." taro quickly said, gently reeling in the old woman who'd long invaded Sakazuki's personal space. She had a certain gleam of elderly knowing in her eyes. The marine huffed uncomfortably, already annoyed by the pair.
"Lieutenant Commander Sakazuki." The young man introduced himself briefly, bowing respectfully to the two older individuals. "I'm not here on any official business on behalf of the marines. I've come to train on my own." He explains. Both of their expressions seem to soften. "Ah - o I see" Taro mumbled seemingly embarrassed. Hutia laughed heartily at the dismay of the chief. "I told you there was no reason to be scared of, your wuss – yip," she said mockingly. "Chatter bones here thought you marines were coming to dump some criminals on the island –yip." Sakazuki seemed confused. "He's got a vivid imagination –yip." She added, causing the man in question to frown.
"It's perfectly reasonable to be wary of any strangers," he defended quickly. This statement seemed to reflect a deep-rooted sense of caution ingrained within his being. "Throughout history, humans have always had a natural inclination to protect themselves from potential threats, and this is especially true when it comes to encountering unfamiliar individuals." he rambled on. The fear of the unknown lingers within us, prompting us to be cautious and hesitant when dealing with strangers. After all, they embody a multitude of possibilities - some positive and others not-so-positive. Therefore, it is only rational to approach strangers with a healthy dose of skepticism." He let out that heavy sigh as it became apparent that even though he had to admit defeat, Sakazuki stared in confusion, and Hutia continued her mocking. Anyway, perhaps this instance was an exception, where the stranger before him had proved to be nothing more than harmless so far.
The enthusiastic locals started sharing with him the captivating history of their island's volcano. They explained how the magnificent volcano, known as Kauwa Kauwela-Yama, has been a prominent part of their lives for centuries. Kauwa Kauwela has erupted numerous times throughout history, shaping the landscape and leaving behind fertile ground for agriculture.
They guided him towards the town hall. Pointing in the direction, they ensured he wouldn't miss it. "The town hall is just a short walk away," they said, showing him the way with friendly gestures. "Just head straight down this road, and you'll see it on your left," Taro instructed swiftly. "There's a room behind the building you can use for the time being."
He thanked them for their guidance and set off towards the town hall, fueled by their fascinating stories about the island's volcano. They set him up with a few supplies and instructed him about how to reach them. Before departing, Taro warns him about a group of Pirates known as the 'Berserk Brothers' who often visit the island, but Akainu, dismissing them as small-time trash, pays little heed to the chief's warnings.
The young marine, clad in his neatly kept uniform, finally arrives at the small house that has been provided to him by the chief. Though modest in appearance, the small abode possesses all the necessities that suit his ascetic lifestyle perfectly. As he steps inside, he is greeted by a plain, yet cozy interior, which gives him a sense of peace and simplicity. Determined to make himself at home, he takes the time to arrange his belongings, meticulously organizing his meager possessions.
Feeling a rumble in his stomach, the marine realizes it's time to eat. He doesn't have much in terms of culinary options, but he's learned to be content with what he has. He reaches for his packed rice and curry, a meal that has become his staple during his life. With gratitude in his heart, he savors each bite, knowing that even in its simplicity, it provides him with sustenance and strength.
As the sun reigns in the sky, lighting up the picturesque landscape, the young marine decides it's time to embark on an exploration. His eyes are drawn to a majestic mountain in the distance, its peaks shrouded in mist and mystery. Curiosity fuels his spirit, and he can't resist the temptation to climb and uncover the hidden treasures this formidable terrain may hold.
With a sense of anticipation and determination, he begins his ascent. Each step brings him closer to the summit, and with every breath, he feels more connected to the raw beauty of nature. As he rises higher, he leaves behind the noise and chaos of the world below, finding solace in the tranquility that surrounds him. The challenges of the climb don't deter him; rather, they ignite a fire within him to push forward with unwavering perseverance.
Moving towards the top, a breathtaking panorama unfolds before the marine's eyes. Nature's artwork unfurls in every direction, revealing a mesmerizing tapestry of sprawling forests, winding rivers, and untamed wilderness. The young marine stands in awe, humbled by the immensity and grandeur of the world spread out before him. In this moment, he realizes the profound impact nature has on his soul, fostering a deep sense of peace and serenity within him.
Sakazuki marvels at the variety of creatures and plants. The island was home to a myriad of amazing distinct life. Despite his stern nature he always admired and valued nature, especially plants. The flora of the island was captivating, and he spent the whole walk-up taking note of the many different plants that thrived under the sun.
Upon reaching the mouth of the volcano after several exhausting hours of trekking, Sakazuki found himself in a state of sheer astonishment. He stood there silently, his eyes widening in awe at the breathtaking sight that unfolded before him. The opening of the majestic volcano was adorned with an array of vibrant pink flowers, their delicate blooms offering a stark contrast to the backdrop of the churning, mercilessly hot magma below. It was a stunning juxtaposition that even managed to captivate the ever-stoic Sakazuki.
Taking a moment to let the beauty sink in, Sakazuki couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over him. As he surveyed the surroundings, he found solace in the fact that life could flourish under such harsh and unforgiving conditions. The flowers, with their resilience and determination, seemed to symbolize the indomitable spirit of nature itself.
Deciding to make the most of this tranquil moment, Sakazuki located a comfortable spot amidst the vibrant display of pink petals. Seating himself, he closed his eyes and settled into a deep state of meditation, embracing the intense heat emanating from the volcano. While the intense heat would have caused severe discomfort to most, Sakazuki found solace and comfort within it, using it as a conduit to tap into his inner calm.
As he sat there in his silent meditation, the marine couldn't help but be grateful for the extraordinary experience that Mother Nature had bestowed upon him. He found himself humbled by the grandeur of the volcano and the resilience of the flowers, reminding him of the sheer power and beauty that existed in the world around him. It was a moment of profound reflection and reverence, one that would forever remain etched in Sakazuki's memories.
Sakazuki closed his eyes and took a deep breath, feeling the warmth radiating from the magma below. The sound of the magma churning and hissing filled the air, and Sakazuki felt a sense of peace and tranquility. He knew that this would be a special place for him to meditate and contemplate. Sakazuki knelt before the magma, allowing its energy to flow through him. He closed his eyes and focused on his breathing, allowing himself to feel the power of the magma. He felt a sense of connection and harmony with the world.
As the sun steadily set behind the rugged mountains, casting a golden glow over the serene landscape, he found himself perched on a large rock at the edge of a cliff. The rhythmic sound of wind whistling through the tall pine trees mingled with his deep, contemplative breaths. He had been sitting there, cross-legged, in a state of intense meditation for what felt like an eternity. Thoughts swirled through his mind, each one bringing with it excitement and a hint of trepidation. The month ahead held immense possibilities and challenges, and he was determined to make the most of his newfound abilities.
His mind wandered through the myriad of ways he could harness his powers. With each passing moment, he visualized himself mastering skills that only a short while ago seemed unimaginable. The thrill of this prospect coursed through his veins, filling him with a sense of exhilaration like never before. There was a newfound confidence in his being, a belief that he had the strength and skill to overcome any obstacle.
Suddenly, a strange sensation sent a shiver down his spine, interrupting his train of thought. His instincts kicked in, and his senses heightened. He could feel the approach of another presence, a subtle but distinct energy making its way towards him. Alertness washed over him, and his hand instinctively reached for the hilt of his trusty katana. Rising to his feet, he surveyed the path he had climbed, reminiscing about the chief's warning of criminals potentially lurking in these unforgiving mountains.
His eyes narrowed as he scanned the rocky terrain, searching for any sign of movement or disturbance. He had become well accustomed to this sense of anticipation, his previous encounters with danger having honed his instincts. The stillness of the surrounding wilderness only heightened the tension in the air, the only sound being the faint rustling of leaves far below.
As his gaze swept the landscape, his mind raced through various scenarios, strategizing his response to any potential threat. Memories flashed in his mind of past battles, lessons learned, and victories hard-earned. He knew that the key to survival and mastery of his abilities lay in staying vigilant and always being aware of the world around him.
Time seemed to stretch, as minutes turned into eternity. With each passing second, his heart pounded like the rhythmic beat of a war drum. The silence was deafening, amplifying the intensity of the moment. And just when he began to wonder if his senses were deceiving him, a shadowy figure emerged from the dense foliage and started making its way towards him.
Now fully prepared, a steely determination etched across his face, he stood at the threshold of uncertainty. Confidence surged within him as he gripped his katana tighter, ready to face whatever trials fate had thrown his way. The month ahead held both untold adventures and potential dangers, but he was resolute in his resolve to face them head-on, harnessing his newfound abilities to truly become the master of his own destiny.
With adrenaline coursing through his veins, Sakazuki prepared himself to engage in combat, ready to eliminate the vile scum that stood before him. he sighed in relief and slight annoyance at the sight of a woman gracefully entering his view. Briefly relaxing his stance, he observed her from a distance, intrigued by her actions. Oblivious to his presence, she became the subject of his scrutiny. Enthralled by her beauty, he noticed her smooth, dark skin and the vibrant ginger hair that adorned her head, bouncing exuberantly with each step.
Melodiously humming a tune, she approached dangerously close to the edge of the volcano. Sakazuki's eyes widened in alarm as he swiftly lunged forward, desperate to prevent her from meeting a fiery demise. In a desperate attempt to catch her attention, he barked out a warning, hastily closing the distance between them. Startled by his sudden arrival, the woman halted abruptly, her expression a mix of surprise and trepidation. At her side now, Sakazuki's heart pounded in his chest, a testament to the fear and urgency gripping him. Locking eyes with her, he implored fervently, his voice filled with both alarm and determination, "Go back!" Acting swiftly, he grasped her arm firmly, forcefully pulling her away from the dangerous precipice.
The young woman turned quickly in shock; her eyes wide open revealing big glittering orbs of red. She stared back at the man in confusion before noticing something behind him. Sakazuki on the other hand found himself trapped in her beautiful red irises, still stunned at who he thought was a suicidal maniac. He was so enamored by her gorgeous features, and trying to save her from a certain demise, that he hadn't noticed the enraged beast rampaging towards him.
"Poi Poi NO!" The young woman shouted, making the marine turn in confusion, finally noticing the massive toothy beak lunging for him. Quickly dodging and redirecting the threat, the young man failed to account for his footing, leading him to go teetering into the mouth of the volcano evoking a scream from the maiden.
