Chapter 6: The Christmas Tree Forest:

Faina's POV:

We are entering the forest that's composed of trees, covered with Christmas decorations.

"Who decorated them," I asked.

"This is the Christmas Tree Forest," says the Nutcracker, "we better get going. I just wish I knew where the Rebellion is."

"So, we're flying blind," asks Dominik, "I have no idea where that saying came from."

We then started moving.

. . .

We were traveling through the Christmas Tree Forest.

"Seriously, what kind of castle is this," asks Gara.

"Wait, does anyone else hear that," asks Dominik.

"Mice," says the Nutcracker.

Mice ran at us, and we had to run.

. . .

The Nutcracker and I got separated from the others.

"Where are they," I asked.

"We got company," says the Nutcracker.

Some mice came and the Nutcracker fought them off. Then a tree swats them. "I can't stand those mice!"

"The tree talks," I said.

"We are alive, aren't we?"

Trees: O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!
Not only green in summer's heat,
But also, winter's snow and sleet.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How lovely are your branches!

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Of all the trees most lovely;
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Of all the trees most lovely.
Each year you bring to us delight
With brightly shining Christmas light!
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
Of all the trees most lovely.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
We learn from all your beauty;
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
We learn from all your beauty.
Your bright green leaves with festive cheer,
Give hope and strength throughout the year.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree,
We learn from all your beauty.

"Do any of you know where the Rebellion is," asks the Nutcracker.

"Sure," says the tree, "it's in the Land of Amusement!"

"The Land of Amusement," says the Nutcracker, "I should have thought of that! We better find the others."

. . .

"I'm sure we'll find your friends," I said.

"I have faith in you," I said, "Your Highness."

The Nutcracker then stopped. "How'd you guess?"

"Something had to have happened to the prince," I said.

"That's fair," says the Nutcracker.

"Why didn't you tell them," I asked.

"The three of us were great friends," says the Nutcracker, "I was like a brother to Zinovia. I guess it just hurt her when I disappeared. I couldn't tell her who I was."

"I'll keep your secret," I said, "now, let's look for the others."

"We're over here," says Gala. We found the others. "What were you guys talking about?"

"It's not important," I said, "let's go."

To Be Continued

In the next chapter, Faina and the others go through the Land of Flowers.
