Author's Note: I've had this idea for a while, but they don't want to write a whole story, so I'll just do a one-shot.

Story Title: The three heroes of Chaldea on Earth-Bet: Witch, Hunter, Knight (One-shot)
Plot: Brockton Bay is a town that seems to attract trouble. But this time she outdid herself. Somehow, the city has gained three new inhabitants who are off the charts in terms of power and strangeness. Their names are Saver, Shielder, Caster, they say they are from Chaldea and are bringing friends with them.
XXX
Narrator's POV
On Earth-Bet it is April 10, 2011.
In the present, it is a simple date, with no particular meaning.
But in subsequent years, it will become a date with historical importance, especially for Cape enthusiasts.
April 10, 2011, the beginning of the rebirth of the heroes, a much acclaimed and necessary event for Earth-Bet.
XXX
In the unfortunate town of Brockton Bay, something captivating for lovers of super-heroes and super-villains is happening at the docks.
A confrontation between a novice super-heroine and a professional super-villain.
XXX
Taylor Hebert, aka Bug-girl, is a 15-year-old girl, 171 centimeters tall, with long black, curly hair.
Taylor wears a black and gray spider silk bodysuit with armor panels made of insect shells and exoskeletons augmented with more spider silk.
The yellow lenses on his mask are durable, high-end swimming goggles, tinted to help filter out bright lights, with the lenses from an old pair of glasses sealed inside with silicone.
Her mask leaves the back of her neck exposed and her hair free to fly behind her.
Taylor is an unlucky girl, very unlucky, it wouldn't be an understatement to consider her one of the unluckiest girls in the city or in North America.
Today was Taylor's first time out in her superhero costume.
His initial plan was to explore the city's shadiest areas and stop petty crimes.
Taylor wanted to start with small and easy things, over time he would increase the difficulty, until he ended up fighting serious criminals.
Instead of confronting a drug dealer or convenience store robber, Taylor ended up angering Lung.
Lung is the boss of ABB, one of the three major criminal gangs in the city.
If that wasn't a bad move, Lung is also the most powerful and dangerous Parahuman in the city.
Taylor had the misfortune of being given the power to control insects.
Lung, however, was lucky enough to receive the power to transform into a dragon, the longer a fight lasts, the more complete his transformation becomes, being able to become a flying monster capable of breathing fire.
A direct comparison between the two does not bode well for Taylor.
But for once in her life, Taylor is about to receive a bit of luck of such high quality that it's close to a miracle.
XXX
Currently, Bug-Girl is crouched on the roof, nervously clutching her pepper spray, the only real weapon she has.
Taylor's insect army have just been burned by Long's fire.
The Asian supervillain lies on the ground with his body engulfed in flames, a measure to defeat Taylor's insects.
'I need a miracle to get out of this situation.' Bug-girl thinks, not wanting to be burned or torn to pieces by Lung.
At that moment something strange happened in the middle of the road.
A black purple rune symbol appeared in mid-air, then other rune symbols each of a different color appeared.
All these symbols formed a kind of spiral with a circumference of three meters.
Then, the runic inscriptions began to glow, suddenly disappearing, leaving a rainbow-colored circular portal in their place.
'This is clearly the work of an Unknown Parahuman.' Bug-girl thinks, knowing that there are no Parahumans capable of creating portals in the city.
'Mover, you never know when they'll come out of hiding.' Lung thinks, stopping his search for Bug-girl, shifting his attention to the portal.
In his long criminal experience, Lung has learned that Movers can be annoying and very useful, not as much as a Tinker or Thinker.
But a Mover capable of creating portals is worth a small fortune.
Lung who is about ten meters from the portal was the first to glimpse three figures coming out from there.
Bug-girl not wanting to be noticed, simply used her bugs to monitor the event.
XXX
Shifting the perspective from Lung and Bug-girl, we take a closer look at the three people who came out of a multicolored portal.
The person on the left is one girl should be 18 years old, 158 centimeters tall, with short lilac hair, lavender eyes, and pale skin.
Her figure is quite athletic and her breasts are quite prosperous.
He wears black and purple skin-tight armor enhanced with high-tech gear.
The girl's armor resembles an extremely short mini dress that exposes her butt, emphasizes her breasts, and reveals her panties. In some sections of the armor there are small circles that emit a glow of light.
He also wears elbow-length metal gauntlets, shoulder guards, thigh-high metal boots, all designed to enhance his physical abilities.
Finally, the girl's eyes are covered by a rectangular black visor, with small bright lines at the corners.
The girl in her hands holds a huge shield of black and gray color, a combination of an oval medieval shield and a futuristic cross-shaped shield, in the center there is a vertical line formed by runic inscriptions.
At the sight of this beautiful woman in a knight's costume, Taylor can't help but feel jealousy and a kind of interest that she doesn't want to admit.
The person on the right is a slim woman in her twenties with tanned skin, 186 centimeters tall and her three measurements are: B89, L58, H89.
The Latin woman has long, wild and dark brown curls, black eyes with yellow pupils and two large white horns protruding from her head.
The Latina woman's hands and lower legs are covered in black fur and have a slightly skeletal appearance.
The Latin woman wears a light black bodysuit with bone rings on the outside and with a golden circular glyph in the center.
On his shoulders he wears a dark purple cloak that seems to have come out of a fantasy novel.
On top of his head he wears a large pointed hat, black in colour, with a gray tip on top and purple on the inside.
The lower part of the face is hidden by a purple ninja-style mask.
Finally, the Latin woman holds a wooden stick in her hands with a snake-shaped totem on top.
'A girl knight and a witch, someone has been playing too much Dungeon and Dragons.' Taylor thinks, trying to hide the jealousy she feels in the physical appearance and costumes of the two women.
The person in the middle is a... boy (?), 171 centimeters tall, with a thin and slender build, so it is difficult to establish whether he is a man or a woman.
Her face is young, which makes it difficult to tell whether she is 18 or 21.
The heart-shaped face, the delicate and sweet facial features, give it an androgynous or absolutely feminine appearance in the right light.
Her lavender hair is long and tied in a braid that falls to her shoulders, with a thick fringe hiding her left eye.
His right eye resembles an owl's eye, golden yellow in color and shines in the dark of the night.
His ears are long and pointed as if he were some sort of half-elf.
He wears a black combat suit that covers his entire body, starting from his toes and ending up covering his entire neck.
The suit is black and dark red, designed not to hinder body movements and provide light defense.
Engraved on the suit are tiny white runic inscriptions that apparently have no meaning.
Among all the symbols there is a particular emblem made of gold, positioned above the heart there is a cross-shaped mark.
Above the suit there are several white straps and holsters to allow the boy (?) to carry as many objects and weapons as possible.
On the left thigh is a strap holding three silver cylinders, each six inches long.
On the right hip is a holster holding an archaic-looking silver pistol.
Around his waist he wears a white multifunctional superhero belt, equipped with four holsters to hold four separate weapons.
On the left holster is a whip, on the right holster is a short sword, on the two rear holsters are a pair of Revolver pistols.
Around the wrists are futuristic silver bracelets.
On the left forearm there is some kind of device, a kind of mini portable computer that resembles the Yu Gi Oh Zexal duel disk.
On the straps around his chest that form a large X, there are several small throwing knives and two holsters under his arms, which hold two semi-automatic pistols.
Over his shoulders he wears a royal-looking red cloak adorned with black feathers and an elaborate golden dragon mark on his back.
On the right ear is a lightweight and sturdy headset equipped with a lens that covers the left eye, the device resembles a D-Gazer.
He wears black armored infantry boots.
In his right hand he holds a black cube of pure obsidian, the size of a rubik's cube, decorated with complex geometric and runic symbols. On the ink surface, small lights appear and disappear in its depths.
But the strangest thing is the fact that the boy (?) has a couple of "pets" that are on his shoulders, on the left there is a blue-eyed crow, on the right shoulder there is a creature similar to a ferret, reminiscent of Kudamon from the Digimon cartoons.
'Aren't you wearing a mask? What Cape race doesn't wear a mask? The blindfold cannot hide his identity.' Taylor thinks, looking at the only boy (?) of the trio with suspicion and disbelief.
'A girl knight, a witch and a thief or a hunter? This is a new Fantasy themed Cape team (RPG) ?' Taylor thinks, having never seen or heard of anything like it.
XXX
Once out of the door, the trio of bizarre characters look around with slight confusion.
"This isn't the Boiling Isles." The witch said, with a displeased tone.
The Latin woman wanted to return to her second home populated by Witches, Demons, Liminals. Instead, she and her two friends arrived at an unknown, shabby-looking place.
" Senpai, I think you should do maintenance on the Daedalus Cube, we've come to the wrong place." The knight girl said, looking in the direction of the long-haired androgynous boy.
"Maintenance? Are you telling me we traveled across the Multiverse using an artifact that wasn't tuned?" The witch asks, raising an eyebrow, wanting a clear answer from her friend.
" Caster, Shielder, I've been working at the Daedalus Cube for over seven years, actually ten years if we count the time spent in Chaldea.
I have incorporated within him the rarest materials that exist, principles, programs and technologies from every civilization and great enemy we have defeated.
The Daedalus Cube doesn't need maintenance, if it brought us here, it did so for a reason." Saver replies with a protective tone, defending his cubic masterpiece.
"Your philosophy of being a leaf at the mercy of the wind of the universe is sometimes irritating." The witch, aka Caster, said, crossing her arms, not seeming to appreciate her sudden change of plans.
The Latin woman wanted to return to the Boiling Isles, especially the witch wants to hug her dear girlfriend, Amity Blight, again.
"Caster, you know Senpai long before me. You should already be used to unexpected events, they are practically a regular occurrence if you stay by Senpai's side.
Years ago, my first visit to Modern London was interrupted by a Symbiote invasion and the appearance of an Ancient Symbiote Dragon." Said the girl knight, aka Shielder, mentioning an old unexpected event that was the start of a tiring I work for Chaldea, but that's another story.
Unlike the witch, Shielder doesn't seem to have a problem with arriving in this unfamiliar place.
The knight girl is happy to stay close to her Senpai and travel through the Multiverse, embarking on a thousand adventures.
"Anyway, Master, do you have any idea where we are exactly?" He asks the Witch in a friendly and playful tone, putting aside her frustrations, knowing that the knight girl is right with her.
Plus, stuff like this happens to the witch herself and her extended family once a year, and often under worse circumstances.
The androgynous boy's face remains stoic, but he raises an eyebrow slightly when the witch is calling him, Master.
" First of all, I remind you that I changed my name, now I am Saver. After saving the world from the threats of Goetia, Knull and God-Alien.
I deserve a more appropriate name and title, Arkan Bloodedge or Last Master of Chaldea, they are no longer acceptable to me." Said the only boy of the trio, alias Saver, wanting to be called by his new name.
"Second, you must not mention me, Master.
You are not a true Servant, you are not even a Demi-Servant like Shielder or a Pseudo-Servant like Ishtar.
You are Good Witch of Boiling Isles and my best friend, you are one of the few people in the world who have the privilege of treating me like a normal person." Saver said, feeling unpleasant feelings when Caster calls him Master.
"Finally, to answer your question, we are located in a run-down port city with economic problems and high crime rates, located on the East Coast of the USA, north of Boston." Saver said in an androgynous, stoic voice, being able to state their location without looking at a map.
"Okay, but when exactly are we?" asks the Witch, wanting to know the date and time.
"The date is April 10, 2011, 10:20 pm." Saver answers, quickly, without looking at a watch or using his device.
"Last question, are we on Earth-2126 or another Earth?" Caster asks for more information on their location.
For a moment, Saver doesn't respond, as if he couldn't answer this question the same way.
Saver looks up at the sky and observes the stars.
"Sjálfr Sjálfum Mér." Saver recites softly, then his good eye seems to change, taking on an unusual pattern and color, as if the night sky were held captive in his eye.
"Earth-99998W. It's the first time we end up on a five-digit Earth, which means there will be a lot of differences from the Earths we know." Saver said, before closing his eye.
"It's nice to have a best friend who's basically a GPS and a Clock for space-time travel on a multiversal level. It makes everything easier." The witch said, smiling beneath her mask, appreciating Saver's tracking skills.
" Caster, Senpai, I believe we have bigger problems than understanding our geographic, temporal, or multiversal location." The knight girl said, raising her arm to point at Lung.
Saver opens his good eye, showing that he has returned to his normal color.
The witch, the knight girl and the hunter finally noticed Lung's presence, none of the three of them seem worried or impressed.
"Are we looking at a creature from this world or is it a Mutant?" Mash asks, failing to understand what Lung is.
Something quite understandable taking into account that at the moment the Chinese gangster is somewhere between his human form and his bestial form.
"The appearance says animal, but if you look into its eyes you can see intelligence and malice. A sentient beast or a person with the ability to transform into a pseudo-dragon." Caster said, being able to tell the difference between a man and a beast with a look.
A skill the Witch has acquired over years spent fighting dangerous instinct-driven creatures and heartless criminals.
Saver's good eye watches Lung, as if studying or evaluating him.
For a moment, the ABB boss felt a shiver throughout his body, as if the androgynous boy was looking into his soul.
"A simple bandit with great pride and equally great cowardice. You are not worth my time." Saver said, moving his gaze to a nearby building.
'Did the Hunter just insult the strongest Cape in town!?' Taylor thinks, sure no one in Brockton Bay has ever done anything like this or lived to tell the tale.
"Maybe you might be worth my time." Saver said, looking directly in Taylor's direction.
'How did he find me!' Taylor thinks, feeling a feeling of anxiety and worry. Her location was discovered in an instant by a member of an unknown Cape group.
"You... called... me... a coward!?" Lung exclaims, forgetting about Bug-girl's bugs, shifting his attention to Saver.
'I bet my book collection, The Good Witch Azura, that that dragon will regret ever attracting Saver's attention.' Caster thinks, tightening her grip on her magical staff, ready to cast a spell if necessary.
'This won't end well. In Senpai is not good at interacting with dragons, Senpai has the urge to fight them to the death.' Shielder thinks, sure that her Senpai and the wyvern-shaped bandit will end up fighting.
" Hurry and tell me what you want, Wyvern Man, I have no time to waste on a plebeian who spends his time extorting money from peasants." Saver said, showing that he had a low regard for Lung.
This may be considered pure arrogance, but in reality it is pure confidence and security in one's abilities.
In his adventures before and after Chaldea, Saver has fought against a large number of enemies, such as Elder Dragons and other similar creatures, making it difficult for them to take Lung seriously, who is a mere ghost pale in comparison to the real deal.
"I...am...Lung!" He declares the Cape stronger than Brockton Bay, as if he were a name known and feared throughout the world.
Unfortunately, Lung's local infamy has no value to foreign gods, even if his fame were known to the trio, it could not intimidate any of them.
Caster, Shielder and Saver have seen much scarier and more dangerous things than a Chinese gangster transforming into a large lizard.
"I've never heard of you. But just by looking at you I understand that you are not worthy of such a name." Saver said, as his black crow takes flight.
'This guy if he's not a Brute or a high level Trump, he will literally be torn to pieces.' Taylor thinks, very worried about what is about to happen in front of her eyes.
Saver walks confidently toward Lung, as if he were some kind of conquering king who has never known defeat.
"My name is Saver, I am the King in Black of Chaldea, I am called as the one-eyed Black Dragon of the Boiling Isles!" Saver proclaims out loud, placing a hand on his chest.
"Through my veins flows the power of the dragons of Great Britain, I slew a True Dragon by bathing in his blood and ate his heart, I am a Dragon in human form!" Saver proclaimed aloud, while his eye shines luminescently.
The Black Cube in his right hand also glows menacingly, as if to underline its drama.
"You are a filthy base class wyvern who fools himself into thinking he is a real dragon. Normally, I would defeat you, but I just arrived in the area." Saver said lightly. He has no problem declaring himself superior and degrading the Wyvern Man.
'The more time passes, the more I feel like Saver resembles Gilgamesh, especially when he's in front of an audience.' She thinks the witch, noticing that her best friend is showing traces of arrogance and extreme confidence like a certain King of Heroes.
"So for this night only I will be merciful, Wyvern Man get out of my sight, hide in your lair and don't dare come out until I leave this city." Saver said, giving Lung a sansa to leave without being beaten and humiliated.
'He will be burned alive.' Taylor thinks, being able to see how Lung's eyes are burning with anger and hatred.
" You are dead !" Lung shouts, before spitting a huge fireball, towards Saver.
In an instant, Shielder moved at a speed that the human eye could not perceive.
The girl knight stood in front of Saver, holding her shield in the shape of a cross so that he would take all the damage.
'That pretty girl is a Brute! I couldn't see her when she moved to block Lung's strike.' Taylor thinks, having never seen someone move so fast with her eyes.
The Hunter remained calm, maintaining a stoic demeanor, while the knight girl protected him.
"Thank you, Shielder, but that wasn't necessary, don't you remember that I'm immune to common fire." Saver said, not needing the girl knight's protection against Lung's flames.
If they were flames of light or a holy attribute, Saver would have needed Mash's impenetrable defense, but against common flames Saver is untouchable.
"I forgot it." Mash mutters with a light blush on her cheeks as she keeps her guard up.
"Your woman... won't save you... from me!" Proclaimed Lung, running in the direction of Shielder and Saver, wanting to start hand-to-hand combat.
Before Lung could get close enough to attempt an attack, dozens of roots sprouted from the ground, attacking Lung as if they were snakes, binding tightly around his arms and legs.
Saver recognizing the attack slowly turns in the direction of Caster who is walking towards them.
"Cater, I appreciate the support of your magic, but I wanted to test some new tricks of the Daedalus Cube on the Wyvern Man." Saver said in a stoic voice, still holding the Black Cube in his right hand.
The Hunter would have preferred to be left alone to fight the Chinese gangster with powers.
The witch shakes her head slightly, minimally surprised by her best friend's words.
"I understand that you can't go even a week without arguing with someone. But you may not provoke people, especially those with special abilities." Caster said, having a weakness for the diplomatic approach.
As much as the witch may enjoy a fight, she is aware that the best behaviors are those that are avoided.
"The conflict was inevitable, at least I had an adequate first impression." Saver responds in a stoic voice as if the diplomatic option isn't available.
"Did your all-seeing eye see anything?" The witch asks, referring to the time Saver's eye took on an unusual appearance.
" Sjálfr Sjálfum Mér doesn't make me all-seeing, it just allows me to see the big picture." Saver said, not liking being given the title of all-seeing, his Mystic Eye possesses no such power.
"Sometimes you act like Gilgamesh, other times like EMIYA." Caster comments, sure that her friend has more in common with Heimdall than she wants to believe.
" Senpai, Caster, the enemy is growing!" Shielder exclaims in a worried voice, attracting the attention of his two traveling companions.
Shielder is not joking, Lung's body is slowly becoming less human and more beast-like.
Currently, the Wyvern Man has reached two meters in height, and his entire body is covered in silver scales.
'Don't tell me it's like Spartacus!' She exclaims the witch worried about having to face an enemy who becomes stronger and bigger with every damage he takes.
Saver watches as Lung manages to tear out with savage force the roots that held him captive.
"Actually, he reminds me of the Hulk, albeit on a much lower level." Saver comments, noting a certain resemblance between the Chinese Gangster and the Green Goliath.
"This is worse than Spartacus." Shielder comments, tightening her grip around his shield.
Lung wasted no time in performing a new attack, using his superhuman strength he made a superhuman leap, wanting to get over Shielder and crush Saver.
The witch, seeing Lung attempting an attack from above, decided to intervene, using her staff, she drew a magic circle in mid-air with a glyph inside.
In an instant, a huge and violent gust of wind hit Lung full on, covering him in superficial scratches and cuts.
Unfortunately, the witch's attack changed Lung's landing path, sending him straight towards the roof where Taylor was hiding.
It's official, Taylor Hebert, aka Bug-girl, has to be the unluckiest girl in North America.
XXX
When Taylor realized that an eight-foot Lung was about to fall on her or in her area, she didn't know how to escape.
If Taylor tries to jump from the roof to avoid Lung, he seriously risks breaking his spine or breaking his legs.
'I really wanted to get Mover or Brute-type powers.' Bug-girl thinks, wishing so much that she could fly like a bird or at least have bulletproof skin.
Before Taylor could attempt a desperate escape maneuver, a multicolored flash of light appeared next to Taylor.
When the flash of light faded, in its place was Saver holding his Black Cube in his right hand, strangely, the surface of the Cube is showing subtle multi-colored lights.
"You are lucky that the Scandinavian Lostbelt allowed me to study the Bifrost and replicate its functions in the Daedalus Cube." Saver said in a stoic voice as he placed his left hand on Taylor's shoulder.
" What ?" Bug-girl asks, not being able to understand anything Saver says.
Before he could receive an explanation, the Black Cube released a flash of rainbow light, causing the two to disappear just before Lung hits the roof.
XXX
In the next moment, Saver and Bug-girl appeared near Shielder and Caster, standing a hundred meters away from Lung.
"Did we teleport?" Taylor mutters, while she is experiencing dizziness from the spatial displacement.
Bug-girl tries to take a step forward, luckily, she is grabbed by Caster who stops her from falling to the ground.
"No sudden movements, the first teleportation can confuse your sense of balance and make it difficult to make movements. You should recover in a few minutes." Caster said, in a warm and friendly voice, trying to comfort Taylor.
" Senpai, who is the girl in the insect-themed dress?" Shielder questions in a curious voice, keeping one eye on the girl and another eye on the collapsed building where Lung is.
"Probably a novice teenage super-heroine who ended up facing someone above her level. Nothing new." Saver said, sounding bored or apathetic, having already seen young heroes who overestimate themselves and end up facing enemies too strong for them.
"We intruded on the classic fight between super-heroines and super-villains. It means you did well to draw attention to yourself." Caster said, having understood why Saver so directly insulted Lung.
It's better for everyone if supervillains focus on professionals and not beginners.
" Who are you ?" Bug-girl asks, wanting to know the names of these three characters.
"I'm Caster, the girl with the shield is Shielder, the femboy is Saver." The witch said, giving a short introduction.
"I'm sorry to say but there's already a Shielder in town, Eric Pelham, he's part of the New Wave." Taylor said, informing that the knight girl's name is already taken by someone else.
"This Eric, whoever he is, is definitely not worthy of the title of Shielder. The only person in the world capable and virtuous enough for this title is you." Saver said in a serious voice, pointing to the girl knight wielding a huge shield.
'I think there will be some miscommunication or some friction between Saver and New Wave.' Taylor thinks, being able to imagine an argument or argument between the two over Shielder's name.
Before Bug-girl could ask any more questions, the short lull in this fight ended.
"haaaaaaa!" An inhuman and animalistic cry was heard throughout the area.
A four meter long Lung emerged from the rubble of the building, his humanoid form completely replaced by a bestial form reminiscent of the classic Western dragon.
' This guy calls himself Lung, which is the word for dragon in Chinese, but his beast form is clearly based on Western dragons. He should have chosen a better name." Saver comments, continuing to tease Lung.
" Bug-girl, the three of us are strangers in a strange land. You could tell us more about this bad boy." Shielder asks, hoping to discover Lung's weakness.
"This is Lung, the Head of ABB.
His power grants him pyrokinesis, a strong healing factor, and, as the fight progresses, transforms him into an ever-larger, armored form with increasingly denser scales and, eventually, wings." Taylor tells the three characters Lung's powers are bizarre.
"Regeneration, great news for me and my toys." Saver said smiling sweetly, as if he had discovered that tomorrow is Christmas or something else equally beautiful.
"Girls, now it's my turn to make my move, so no interference." Saver said, maintaining his smile as he walks towards Lung.
Once the Chinese gangster emerged from the rubble, he ran as fast as a racing car towards the four of them.
Saver keeping his smile, walks towards Lung who is running fast like a race car towards the four of them.
The Daedalus Cube begins to float above Saver's hand and glow neon green.
" Poor guy, he's about to be reduced to a human svaizer." The witch comments, almost feeling sorry for Lung and the impending punishment she is about to suffer.
The Cube continued to shine, three spheres of neon green light appeared in front of the Hunter.
"Fake Meltdowner, piercing shot, power 30%, boot." Saver said in a calm voice, establishing his Artifact's attack commands.
Immediately after, the three balls of light transformed into three beams of neon green light, which flew in a straight line directly towards Lung at a frightening speed.
The three beams of light pierced Lung's scales, vaporizing a small portion of his left knee, left lung and left shoulder.
The three beams of light continued to fly in a straight line until they hit an old building, exploding.
The Chinese gangster fell to his knees, unable to move with such injuries, at least for a few seconds until his healing factor would fix him.
"I love opponents with healing factor, it allows me to have fun and test my new tricks on them." Saver said with a mischievous smile, wanting to use Lung as a means to get new data to research him.
"Is Saver a Blaster or a Tinker?" Taylor mutters under his breath, not being able to understand exactly how this attack against Lung worked.
Did Saver build that strange Cube for the express purpose of shooting lasers, or does Saver use the Cube as a catalyst for his powers?
"Master, did I see wrong or does that laser attack resemble Meltdowner's power?" The witch asks, sure she's seen that type of attack before.
"I'm glad you noticed the resemblance, it took me some time to create a system to replicate Meltdowner's attack. Even though the quality and quantity are 3/20ths of the original." Saver explains, keeping his eyes on Lung, that he is almost done healing fully.
The Wyvern Man is looking at Saver with murderous rage, wanting to brutally kill him with his own hands because of how he is treating him.
Saver is treating him without showing respect or fear, treating him as if he were some kind of street animal or lab rat.
"Who is Meltdowner?" Taylor mutters, having never heard a good or bad Cape with that name.
"Mugino Shizuri, aka Meltdowner, she is a female Mercenary for Black Ops operations, Classified as an Alpha-Class Mutant, she has the ability to manipulate the state of electrons and use them in an abnormal state.
In short, she is a high-velocity particle wave cannon on two legs and clad in designer clothes, with a bad attitude." Saver narrates, in a stoic voice, giving a description of the woman named Meltdowner.
Long currently three meters tall and with a long serpentine neck, moving the neck left and right.
The Chinese gangster releases a dozen balls of fire so hot they melt the ground.
The Black Cube glowed black-red, then let out a black mud-like substance that automatically moved to form a half-cocoon to defend Saver.
"The first ever designed feature of the Daedalus Cube, automatic defense based on Volumen Hydragyrum, but I have improved all the attributes of the basic technique." Saver said, speaking more to himself than to anyone else.
Once shielding its user from fire, the cocoon becomes a large puddle surrounding Saver and from which projectiles are dropped at Lung.
As time passes, the stronger and faster Lung becomes, but he also becomes larger, making him an easy target to hit.
" As you can see the Daedalus Cube also has a close and long range auto attack function." Saver said in a stoic and calm voice as he walks and fights Lung.
Simultaneously, Shielder and Caster go into defensive mode in front of Bug-girl, combining their abilities to prevent either of them from getting hurt.
The girl knight being the one with the greatest level of physical defense positioned herself in front, holding her shield against the fireballs.
The witch pulled Taylor close to her, holding her staff forward, creating a bubble of purple energy that protects from thermal damage.
" Are you OK ?" Caster questions, still keeping his arm around Taylor.
" I think so." Taylor replies, surprised at how things are moving so quickly.
Half an hour ago he was on his first patrol, then he finds a small gathering of ABB, Lung appears and a short fight begins which is interrupted by the unexpected appearance of Shielder, Saver and Caster.
Taylor's first night as a hero is taking a very strange and unexpected turn.
"Master, we need to get this over with as soon as possible.
Usually, I would have let you play as much as you want, enemy with healing factor, isolated area, late night, the ideal playground for you." Caster said, knowing that his best friend would play with the Wyvern Man for a long time, taking advantage of the situation to test his toys.
Saver, is using the Daedalus Cube to create additional black mud which is used to create walls to protect against fire or projectiles to launch at Lung.
The Wyvern Man, currently five meters tall, is fighting tooth and nail against Saver, but his fire or physical attacks fail to bypass the black mud.
"But with this little girl around there are too many risks. Commit yourself and defeat the dragon!" The witch declares loudly in an authoritative tone, not wanting Bug-girl to get hurt due to Saver's lack of seriousness/commitment.
Hearing the witch's comment, Saver decides to start putting more spirit into this fight, using his free left hand, he grabs two throwing knives from his belt.
In a carefully planned move, Saver uses the black mud to create a shield to block Lung's fire.
Once Lung stops breathing fire, Saver creates two holes in the barrier and throws his two knives through them.
The knives end up hitting Lung's eyes, temporarily blinding him.
"Maneuver: Iceberg fall!" Saver shouts, before running towards his blind opponent.
Shielder and Caster also moved, going into their positions to be able to execute the maneuver chosen by their leader.
As Saver moved his majestic red cloak changed appearance, becoming a large armored red-black coat with a paramilitary appearance.
"Hound: Dublă mușcătură de lup." Saver mutters, as his coat is transforming into something more lethal and useful.
The sleeves of the armored coat have temporarily become enormous tentacles that end in large wolf heads.
The heads of the two wolves bit Lung on the left side of his body, where he was most injured.
The Chinese gangster was then thrown towards Shielder who prepared to receive him.
The girl knight leaped several meters into the air, then used her enormous shield as if it were a blunt weapon.
SMASH!
The Wyvern Man fell into the deep water.
Caster has left Taylor's side to stand near the edge of the harbor, where she can see how Lung is moving chaotically in the water.
Apparently, being blind dragons are terrible swimmers.
Caster used his staff to draw a large circle of light with a large, complex glyph inside.
The precise moment Lung obtained her wings, the witch finished her spell.
In an instant, Lung was trapped inside a small Iceberg, freezing him at the exact moment he gained the appearance of a Western dragon.
Saver, Shielder, and Bug-girl approached Caster to see the world's largest dragon-flavored ice cream.
"You did a good job, Caster. You are no Anastasia, but you prove yourself extremely skilled in ice magic." Shielder said, complimenting the witch for imprisoning Lung in a small Iceberg.
"For a job done suddenly and by a witch specialized in glyphs and wild magic it is satisfying." Saver said in a stoic voice.
' Did the two of them just define Caster's powers as magic and spells?
Do they take their fantasy-style image seriously or do they really believe in it?' Thinks Taylor, having a certain prejudice for Capes who believe their powers are magical.
The witch is not surprised by Saver's lack of real compliments, his friend is a perfectionist with very high standards.
For example, for Saver an intelligent person must be at the level of Tony Stark or Leonardo Da Vinci, a physically strong person must at least be Spider-Man or be able to make Siegfried bleed.
So even getting a satisfactory is a great achievement for many.
"Hey, Master, why are you sulking? We defeated the Pseudo-Dragon in record time." Caster said, easily able to read the subtle nuances of Saver's stoic face.
"The fight ended when things were getting more interesting.
The Wyvern Man was about to gain his wings, I wanted to fight him alone." Saver said with a slightly displeased voice, looking at Lung as if waiting for him to break free from the ice.
"You wanted to fight Lung alone without help from your comrades!?" Taylor questions not believing what she just heard. No sane person would want to fight Lung alone.
"Finding, fighting, and defeating worthy opponents is one of my greatest desires as a warrior." Saver said in a serious voice, while his eye shines brightly.
Taylor decided not to say anything, she can't understand such a line of thinking, but it's probably something similar to athletes wanting to break their personal best or something similar.
"This Wyvern Man who wants to become a dragon is not my worthy opponent, he lacks technique, strategy, versatility or the intelligence of a true warrior.
But, as a beast, he was showing some valor. A prey that continues to grow in mass and strength, I would at least fight him at his peak." Saver said with a slight smile on his lips, imagining himself facing a beast of gigantic proportions.
" Senpai, you too enjoy fighting creatures that resemble or are dragons of some kind." Shielder comments, knowing full well Saver's passion/drive to take on members of the dragon family.
"Dragons are the pinnacle of strength, beasts worthy of my attention as a hunter, they also make great guinea pigs for testing out my toys' new tricks." Saver said, holding up the Daedalus Cube, pointing it at Lungo.
"I wanted to test the updates and new systems and programs of the Daedalus Cube." Saver mutters, sounding like a child who can't play with his Christmas presents due to circumstances.
" You should work you have names of your programs, some are a bit banal." The witch comments, not liking Saver's choice of names.
Meanwhile, Taylor is watching the frozen dragon, beginning to realize that she wasn't prepared for life as a Cape.
The teenage superhero had thought she would patrol the surrounding area, stop petty crimes and avoid the other Capes as much as possible.
If it weren't for Saver, Shielder, and Caster, she would have definitely been burned alive by the Kyushu Dragon.
" Do you feel OK ?" Shielder asks in a worried voice, seeing from her body language that Taylor is tense and scared.
"Girl, if you feel bad or are hurt, Saver and I can heal you. If you don't trust us, we can take you to the hospital or a place of your choice." Caster asks, showing the kind-hearted nature of him.
Taylor feels deeply moved, someone has shown affection or concern towards her for a very long time.
Shielder and Caster protected her from Lung's attacks and now worry about her health.
"No, I'm fine, I'm just tired." Taylor said, not wanting to worry the girl knight and witch any further.
"Girls, you worry too much.
The newbie is just in shock, it must be her first real fight against an opponent with powers.
Indeed, taking into account his equipment and his behavior. This must be his first night in costume." Saver said in a stoic voice, able to read Taylor perfectly.
"Is it so obvious that I'm just starting out?" Taylor asks, embarrassed that it's so easy to tell that she's a newbie.
"From a glance, I'd say you're in your first week. But don't worry too much, everyone started from scratch." Caster said, trying to be helpful to the young heroine.
"Your costume is certainly superior to most novice hero costumes.
Many of them start with sweatshirts, balaclavas or rather embarrassing things.
Senpai showed me photographs of Spider-Man's early costumes." Shielder said, providing his two cents into the discussion.
"You two are too kind. I admit that the newbie has prepared as best she can, so she deserves a point or two in her favor. But she still has a lot to improve on." Saver said in a stoic tone, sounding like he was studying Taylor.
Suddenly Saver turns his head towards the east, as if he had received a message or something.
"Girl, you live in this area. Can you tell me if you know a grown man with a beard in blue power armor?" Saver asks, wanting to get some information from Taylor.
Bug-girl blinks at the sudden request, but answers anyway.
"From the description provided he must be Armsmaster, the hero in charge of the East-North-East Protectorate, the official name of the local Brockton Bay chapter of the government-sponsored superhero league." Taylor provides as complex and as good an answer as possible.
Before anyone could say anything else, a high-tech motorcycle and a man in Power Armor approached the wacky group of four.
Armsmaster with a simple acrobatic maneuver jumps from the motorcycle, landing in front of Saver, Shielder, Caster and Bug-girl.
Armsmaster points his high-tech halberd at the four of them, ready to fight at the slightest sign of threat.
"Are you going to fight me?" Armsmaster asks, not knowing in the slightest who or what he is about to face.
This evening three heroes of Chaldea arrived in Brockton Bay, the number would grow in the future, even the number of crazy and impossible events would grow beyond belief.

Author's Note: I'm embarrassed, I wanted to write a single chapter, but it was getting too long, so this "One-shot" will consist of two or three chapters.
