Chapter 9: The Land of Sweets:
Mouse King's POV:
"Oh, Sugar Plum Queen," I said.
"Yes," asks Sugar Plum Queen.
"They're here," I said.
"Then it's time to play," says Sugar Plum Queen.
Faina's POV:
We were walking through the Land of Sweets. I looked at Gala, sniffing the flower Sergie gave her and Dominik feeling the cheek Zinovia kissed.
"Is everything alright," asks the Nutcracker.
"Oh, I'm fine," I said.
"We have to be careful," says the Nutcracker, "Sugar Plum Queen's spies are everywhere!"
"So, how did the Ballerina Princess get her name," I asked.
"They say she's the greatest dancer," says the Nutcracker.
"I'm learning ballet from my Mom," I said, "but I don't think I'm that good. Maybe this Ballerina Princess can give me some pointers."
"Maybe you can show me what you can do," the Nutcracker suggests.
"Okay, but it's pretty clumsy."
I then started dancing and then I almost tripped, but the Nutcracker caught me and then we started dancing together. It was magical.

I know he's not the best-looking man... but I was beginning to fall in love with him. I just wish I knew what he looked like when he was the Prince. Then we were attacked by fairies.
"It's Sugar Plum Queen's Fairies," says the Nutcracker.
They came at us and then grabbed me and took me away!
. . .
I was faced with the Mouse King and Sugar Plum Queen. "In retrospect, you probably shouldn't have danced," says the Mouse King.
"Poor timing," says Sugar Plum Queen.
"What do you want with me," I asked.
"You are bait for the Nutcracker," says the Mouse King.
"And you are going to help us find Mother Ginger," says Sugar Plum Queen.
"Huhh," I asked.
"She's the ruler of the Land of Amusement and the leader of the Rebellion," says Sugar Plum Queen.
"The names here are so weird," I said.
"One thing," I said, "I don't know where the Rebellion's base is!"
"We do know it's in the Land of Amusement," says the Mouse King, "but we don't know the specific location. And you will help us!"
"Or else," says Sugar Plum Queen.
Then, the craziest thing happened, a clown crashed in and honked in the Mouse King and Sugar Plum Queen's faces. The clown then grabbed me and jumped out with me.
