Chapter 10: The Land of Amusement:
Faina's POV:
The Clown takes me to the Land of Amusement. "Wait," I said, "we have to find my friends!"
"Faina," says the Nutcracker.
"You're all alright," I said.
"You have to see this," says Gala.
. . .
We were then taken to the Rebellion. "Welcome, I'm Mother Ginger, this is Hawthorne, Shiver, Cavalier, and Harlequin."
"Please tell me this isn't the entire rebellion," I said.
"Don't worry, there are more," says Mother Ginger, "these are just the ones whose names I can remember."
. . .
We were trying to discuss a plan, but Cavalier and Harlequin kept arguing.
"Well, these two are useless," says Gala.
"Is there a plan to defeat the Mouse King and Sugar Plum Queen," asks Dominik.
"We've been trying to work on it for some time," says Mother Ginger, "Sugar Plum Queen has a machine that she can use to turn people into useless toys and bring toy soldiers to life."
"Who's the idiot that came up with that," I asked.
"That's also the machine that brought all of us to life in the first place," says the Nutcracker.
"Wonderful invention," I said.
"Yes, it's thanks to that machine that we have a world," says Mother Ginger.
Singer/Chorus: Toyland, toyland
Little girl and boy land
While you dwell within it
You are ever happy there
Childhood's joy land
Mystic merry toyland
Once you pass its borders
You can ne'er return again
When you've grown up, my dears
And are as old as I
You'll laugh and ponder on the years
That roll so swiftly by, my dears
That roll so swiftly by
Childhood's joy land
Mystic merry toyland
Once you pass its borders
You can ne'er return again!
"Wait, maybe we can use that machine against them," I said, "first, we need to go back to the Land of Sweets!"
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, the Rebellion attacks the Land of Sweets.
