Mass Effect: Lost and Found
Just a short little oneshot I did, just for a bit of fun, based on my most recent playthrough of Mass Effect, in terms of romance, anyway, enjoy.
Disclaimer: Mass Effect and it's characters belong to Bioware.
Liara T'Soni had been lost, she spent her time studying Prothean Ruins and travelling alone, she had nobody and always said she preferred it that way and truthfully she did at first, it made it less likely for her to cause one of her typical stumbling in conversation. Nevertheless she couldn't deny she was lonely at times. Then she met Commander Jane Shepard and her life changed forever. Shepard was the kindest and most remarkable person she ever met, she didn't mind Liara's stumbles in conversation, helped her handle it and in return, while Liara did her utmost to help Shepard with her visions and in trying to stop Saren, she found herself being drawn closer and closer to the Commander. She no longer felt lost, she had been found, found by someone who truly cared and on the eve of that last mission to Ilos she had gone to Shepard, she had confessed the truth of her feelings and they had spent a wonderful night together, then, after the mission had succeeded the two of them were staying close as they carried on their newest mission.
Then came the attack from The Collectors and Shepard perished and Liara was lost again. She had managed to retrieve Shepard's body and handed it over to Cerberus for their Project Lazarus which was to revive Shepard. As such Liara spent the next two years lost, trying to distract herself from her feelings of being lost in her efforts in trying to overcome and take out the Shadow Broker who had betrayed her, to rescue her friend who had been captured. That was when Shepard walked back into her life, it had been such a relief, but she held back, having to stay focused on the Shadow Broker. That mission finally was successful too and she found herself taking over as the Shadow Broker, but she nevertheless had drinks with Shepard and she found herself again, especially when they rekindled their romance and for the first time in two years, Liara felt truly alive again. She prayed that it would remain like this, even when physically apart, she still felt their connection. She was found again and would pray that she would not be lost again, never again.
End of oneshot, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
