It's home. The way the cool river brushes over his toes, the way the rocks and the sand rest underneath, the light color of the sand between the rocks, and the almost sunshiny color of it all.

This is home. And yet goodbye too.

It's far sadder to leave Ik-Su, and standing in the river only makes it feel more permanent.

This is home. The way the valley looks. The almost no travelers wandering through. The peace and quiet without other people around, only broken up by the noises of the nearby animals, wind rustling trees, the gently flowing river.

And he is going to say bye to a life that has been normal for the third or fourth time. But this one is less of one that Yun saw coming. Instead it's a light sting, a bitter reminder of change.

This valley is home. Because it has Ik-Su in it. And home because he's grown up here. Spent about half of his life here.

Every part of it is familiar. Every part of leaving is not.

Yun takes a deep breath and leaves the cool river. It's a goodbye for now though hopefully not one for forever.
