At the encouragement of one of the reviewers I have decided to rewrite the entire story. This Will take some time so please be patient with me. Also DO NOT COMMENT ABOUT WAR CRIMES! ALL NATIONS HAVE COMMITTED CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY!! I do not own GATE as I am not that great of an artist.

It all started with the shot of a pistol. A single man whose actions set the powder keg that was Europe off. One man who would be responsible for the deaths of millions and the destruction of thousands of homes.

The nations of the world will be thrown into a war that could crumble a new empire that is only forty-three years in age. The German Empire was a very young nation in its physical form but the idea of a unified German nation was far older. In eighteen seventy-one the chancellor of Prussia Otto Von Bismarck unified all German nations except the Austrian Empire into one nation after the Frano-Prussain war.

At the head of Empire is the king of Prussia Wilhelm the first. The German Empire flourished under Kaiser Wilhelm I and Chancellor Otto Von Bismarck. For the first time since the fall of the Roman Empire the Germanic people were unified.

But a bitter shadow loomed in the west. For the French were angered at their defeat at the hands of the Prussian army and her allies. Not since the fall of Napoleon Bonaparte had Germanic troops marched on their lands. Humiliated by the loss of the war, two provinces, and a new empire declared in the hall of mirrors in the Palace of Versailles, the French people wanted revenge.

"ARTILLERY!"

"GET DOWN!"

DATE: June 20th 1917.

Location: the Rhineland Germany, Western Front High Command Headquarters.

Inside the war room of the headquarters building a large table with several maps and unit markers show the current situation that the German Army is facing.

"The Franks have been shelling the forward potions for the past three weeks. Arial reconnaissance has revealed a large build up of troops in sector 279 through sector 283. The only logical conclusion is that the Frankish Army plans to launch a massive offensive once the bombardment has ended." An Officer says moving several blue pieces on the board to a different location. "Reinforcements for those divisions is limited till the Army Groups of the Eastern Front can finish mop up operations of what is left of the Tsar's shattered forces." He says moving several gray markers with a pole to the eastern part of the map. "It is estimated that the Franks will deplete their shells any day now. We can not risk a breakthrough."

"We cannot risk withdrawing to secondary positions. That will bring Frankish and Britannia artillery in range of the Rhine river industry districts. We also cannot shift divisions from the Britannia sectors." Another Officer says to the Kaiser who looks down at the map with a frown.

"Generals? Do you think planning thirty-seven is the best option still? With casualties mounting and the Royal Navy just off the coast blocking all shipping and communications with Amerika?" Kaiser Wilhelm the second asks from his seat at the head of the table.

The room is silent for a few minutes as the only sound was communications equipment clicking and beeping as reports continue to pour in. Just as a General is about to speak the double doors burst open with men trying to stop the three men that have entered.

"Mister ambassador the Kaiser is in a war meeting please wait for him in the office." A soldier says in English.

"This information cannot wait. My government wants an answer for this insult." The Ambassador is clearly American from how boldly and brashly the man speaks.

His Imperial Majesty looks over at the ambassador who has a paper in hand. The conversation between the American Ambassador and The Emperor lasted hours and on several occasions the ambassador had to step away to attempt to get in contact with Washington DC to report his findings to the President. But each attempt was a failure. They were at a loss at what to do till Admiral Turpiz offered to escort a single ship with the entirety of the Imperial Navy.

Location: Chesapeake Bay Vergina USA.

The smell of burning wood, gunpowder, and oil is thick in the air as the Destroyers, Cruisers, and several dreadnought class Battleships of the German Empire limped their way into the safety of the neutral American ports. Their flags are tattered, battle stained, and shockingly enough at half mast. A single Dreadnought relatively undamaged pulls a cruise ship marked with diplomatic emblems that looks like it should never have made it into the harbor.

The USS Leviathan looked as if she had been through the fires of Hell and it was by God's loving grace and sheer determination of Imperial German Navy Damage Control teams working non-stop to keep the USS Leviathan afloat. Once she had made it to a shallow area of the bay she finally gave up and her keel touched the bottom and she settled upright with only the first two decks accessible. The Ambassador thankfully was alive but he was missing his left arm. A high explosive shell had ripped into his cabin and a large piece of shrapnel took off his arm.

The SMS Scharnhorst a battle cruiser of the Imperial German Navy was a mass of scorched and torn metal and wood. Her hull has several massive holes in her just above the water line. The battle bridge was in flames, thick black smoke bellowing out of the massive hole from a shell and the shattered portholes. Damage Control Crews rushed about the decks fighting fires and bailing water out of the hull. Sailors rush about carrying wounded and the dead.

A lone English Destroyer HMS Belfast had chased after the fleet its six pound guns blasting away as it sped into the bay. Shells landed on both the Scharnhorst and American soil. The German battle cruiser groaned as impact after impact of English armor piercing shells slammed into her hull. With the sound of what can be described as a large group of shrieking birds from hell the guns of the Scharnhorst turn even with flames and smoke rising from the damaged turret on the stern it fires a single salvo.

Americans watch from Naval and civilian vessels alike, as well as along the shores of the bay watch in captivated horror as the shells scream through the air and tear through the destroyer sending it thirty meters into the air.

American National Guard and Coast Guard alongside US Navy Hospital ships rush to the heavily damage fleet many of the sailors were from ships that now lay at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean. When word spread throughout the US armed forces and civilians about what happened it changed the entire course of the war.

"Mister President as much as we all would like to stay out of the war in Europe the Royal Navy nearly killed our Ambassador to Germany in their barbaric attempt to keep the Germans in their ports." the Secretary of Defense states angry. "The only reason he made it back here alive was because the German Navy put themselves between The Leviathan and The Grand Fleet. We owe it to those brave German boys, No to that nation for what they have brought to our attention."

"That's enough Mr. Secretary." President Woodrow Wilson says from behind his desk. He turns around in the chair and looks out the large windows. "The war in Europe has finally reached our shores. What the Germans did to protect the evidence of The Triple Entente and English spies attempting to bring us into their war on their side. But remember Congress is the only body in the government that is able to declare war. I will have to prepare a speech for both Congress and the American people."

With a heavy sigh The President of The United States of America turns around facing the desk and picks up a pen.

Over the following months the course of the war will have irreversibility changed.

Date: November 11, 1918

Location: Paris, France

Time:0600 hours (6am)

The sounds of German artillery have gotten so close to the city that windows shatter, glasses fall from shelves, and pictures of loved ones and those no longer alive fall off of walls and dressers.

With the American entrance into the war at the side of the Germans, The Entente Cordiale was forced into a retreat. More accurately The Third French Republic was forced out of Germany and all the way to the outer limits of the capital of Paris.

The thunder of shells ends abruptly and minutes pass by and silence eerily lays heavy in the air like the chemical gas that the Germans used to great effect in their attacks. A few of the Citizens poke their heads out into the streets and start to slowly come out.

A steady thumping sound can be heard growing in volume as it got closer but there were no explosions and the ground didn't shake. Confused citizens look on in growing realization and horror as a marching column of German soldiers entered their city unopposed by the military or the police.

It was at this moment they knew seeing the German tricolour imperial banner flowing in the wind above the Effle tower the people of Paris knew the war was over.

Headlines across the world read out in bold letters.

WAR IN EUROPE OVER!

ITS OVER OVER THERE!

VICTORY FOR THE FATHERLAND!

And many more similar messages. The war is over. France, England, and Russia surrendered and German troops for the second time marched through the streets of Paris.

Narrator: "Now you all may think that the central powers would be harsh on the Entrant. Well you could be right in may of the Alternative realities there are. War reparations, reduction of military personnel, no air force for france, taking blame for the war, those are very much valid things that could happen. But let's see what actually happens."

The scene changes from shocked as heartbroken French citizens watching the Germans march through their city to a room full of delicates appointed by their nations to discuss the treaty of Versailles. The German Ambassador stands up from his seat and walks up to the podium and starts to speak in English.

"Gentlemen the Emperor of Germany wishes for this war to officially come to a close. Now it is up to me to tell you what Germany wants from the world as a whole. We will not accept anything less than this. France, England, Russia once the civil war ends, The United States of America, and Germany ourselves are to help rebuild Europe from the war. This means we are to work together to rebuild and try to end the petty feuds that plagued this great continent for centuries." He pauses his speech looking at the other men in the room half expecting the French ambassador to scream out at him.

Instead he was treated with stunned looks as the French ambassador stood up.

"Does Germany truly wish to end all hostilities and forge new relationships with France? After all the men who have died all you wish for is co-operation in rebuilding and working together to prevent this from happening again?"

"Yes. You see Ambassador this war was so horrific and savage that we should learn from it. Two questions were commonly asked by soldiers. What is the price of a mile? Will this war end all wars? I do not know what the price of a mile is but I do know that we as human beings can be capable of horrific things. Turning inventions for the better of mankind into machines of death and destruction." The German ambassador takes a breath.

"But we can also build wonderful things as well. So I propose here and now, that we as the representatives of our nations, draft, sign, and announce to the world. Rules for any potential warfare that is to be followed by the nations involved, a treaty that outlines the end of this war and the rebuilding of Europe, and finally, the formation of a world wide entity where nations use negotiations and debates to solve their problems with each other."

"We have the great responsibility to make this war be the war to end them all. Here and now we have the duty to the fallen to make their sacrifices mean something."

Narrator:"It seems this world is on a far different path than the one we know. Here we see what could have been in one timeline. Now I wonder where this will lead. Well tune in next time for the next episode of The Eagle and The Rose: The Battle of Berlin!"
