Phineas and Perry went ahead from Valiant's pack on a Jet Cycle that was summoned from the totaled hover car. Phineas and Perry arrived first but were captured and stripped of their gears, Max CSM Weaver's intern worked on a sound program to help them break out of their glass bottle traps. During the pageant's mini-scheme competition, Locogisu sent a robotic mutant to track down and destroy Valiant's pack.
After Ace snatched Valiant away from the attack from Locogisu's minion, Jeremy, Kyoushiro, and others let go of their grudges against the former SICO member. Valiant and the others were making their way back to the Tokyo Stadium. Whilst Phineas and Perry tried to stop Locogisu from winning but were defeated and captured by Hannibal.
Later, Echo ignored his own crisis and asked the others to help the badger, Phineas. But Hannibal's pack was after Hawk and the others who escaped the evil scientists that were capturing the agents who were Japan and those who fled during SICO's takeover of OWCA.
Chapter Summary: Hawk buys some time for the agents that were rescued, and had Perry take them to safety. Hawk makes his final stand against the traitorous Double Agent Hannibal.
Chapter 14: Reunion in Tragedy
Locogisu's POV:
I toss the owl agent, the final one we've captured into the cage above Echo the Ohu Leader's cage and exclaim, "There we go!" And slammed the cage door, and continued, "With that, we've captured all of OWCA's agents that fled SICO's takeover." However, I heard Doofenshmirtz replied, "Almost all of them." I eyed him from aside as he held up a finger, "Remember Perry the Platypus, Phineas the Badger, Sheila the Gerbersian Wolfhound, Jeremy the German Sheperd, Tanken the Ninja Dog, his fellow ninja agents, and 30 others who probably went with the other Gerbersian Wolfhound, and perhaps several others who went elsewhere, they are still out there somewhere." I folded my arms, thinking back to Hannibal barking angrily at his followers about this, and replied, "Thank you for reminding me Doctor Bringdown." I heard a scientist pipe in, "Excuse me…" our attention turned to a man with orange curly hair with rounded glasses who also specialized in bio experimentation and mutation as he has a mutant hand, "I'm Doctor Bringdown." I retorted, "Shut it, David!" I returned my attention to Doofenshmirtz and said, "When Hannibal returns with his pack, we will take this plane to our new secret island hideout, where we'll build a device that will transport all of Fatugo Pass to the center of the inland. Then move to the next phase to have the world bow to us." Rodney then added in with a smirk, "Like Doofus Warts' neck bow to his back." We all laughed, even some of the SICO agents, except for Doofenshmirtz who was a good one as Diminutive remarked, "His posture's poor." Doofenshmirtz retorted sarcastically glaring at Rodney, "Nice!"
Perry's POV:
Back while we were running, before Phineas came to, we discussed that part of us would meet up with Ohu, while the other 12 would go with Hawk if it had to come to that… and it did.
We were trudging through the woodlands of the botanical gardens as I heard Hawk breathing heavily from his time as a beaten captive over the last month. Phineas insisted that he was good enough to walk, so I was next to him ready to catch him if he stumbles. The dog that carried Phineas up to this point barked, "They are going to catch on that we've disguised as SICO agents and then they will track us down." A few moments later Hawk stopped, and I chittered, "What's wrong?" We turned to him as Hawk answered, "We need to split up. You go towards the hotel with Phineas. I will keep going in our current direction." I glared at him, we can't be doing this, I have a bad feeling that this mission will only get worse if we split up, I protested, "What are you saying? Our pursuers will go in this direction." Phineas added, "Besides, Valiant and the others, especially, Sheila are counting on us to get not only Echo, but you to safety also." But Hawk looked at him and barked, "And Echo told me to get you to safety, Phineas." Hawk turned to me and continued, "Perry, you do remember what Echo said? I must help you and Phineas, even if it cost me my life." Phineas retorted, "We had enough casualties tonight, Hawk." Before Hawk could reply, he stumbled and nearly collapsed, I chittered with concern, "Hawk! Can you walk?" Hawk staggered and struggled to even move his head towards me to reply, "I'm starting to want to bite instead of walk." He started to laugh through the pain.
Phineas came up to him, "Okay, there's no way we are repeating history here. We must figure out something." Hawk turned to him and replied, "There's no time for that. Besides, I won't fall facing Hannibal or Alpheus if he arrives here." Phineas then suggested, "Perry, how about the Ki Sid Maneuver No. 52?" I looked down, seeing what he was getting at, but I replied, "That won't be possible." Phineas exclaimed, "Why Perry?!" I answered, "I can only do one decoy, but that won't provide a long enough distraction." Hawk's ear twitched a bit, "You have to go… I will cut to it." He ran in front of us and turned around, "I promise you all I won't die, not like my grandfather. But you have to get Phineas out of here and back to safety." I nodded, and turned to Phineas, "Let's go, Phineas." Phineas then protested, "But…" Hawk stared at him, "Please go back to your family and friends for now. If I didn't save you, I won't be able to face Echo again." Phineas nodded, chittered, "Just don't die." and followed me along with 18 of the agents we've rescued, while the others agreed to stay behind if it gets to this point.
Hawk's POV:
After the 18 agents we've rescued from being captured followed Phineas and Perry, the other 12 plus three of the dogs that Mark sent to us stayed, I turned to them and barked, "What's wrong? You lot go with them." A yellowish-white Kishu replied, "No… please let us remain with you, Hawk." I asked the animals around me, "You know what it would mean if you stayed with me?" An American Staffordshire Terrier with black spots replied, "Yes, yes we do." I looked at each of the three dogs Mark sent here, and at each agent, 5 of them were dogs, three wolverines, the large king cobra, two white hawks, and a wolf dog. I barked, "I won't flee. Are you all ready?" They all answered in unison, "Yes." I looked at each of them and barked, "You haven't told me your names yet." The grey-furred bull terrier answered, "I'm Chester." The Kishu answered, "Timmy." Followed by the American Staffordshire Terrier, "Roaster." The wolf-dog, "William. We've met before during the Werewolf attacks." The three wolverines introduced themselves as Lester, Hester, and Jack, the king cobra hissed, "I'm Nyx." I barked with gratitude, "I'm glad I was able to meet a selfless bunch of fools." They understood that it was a friendly remark and understood the risk of what they were going into.
Then I heard not-so-distant barking from our pursuers, "Hey! They're over there!" This was not unexpected. We knew they would catch up to us. We turned to face them as their squad leader continued, "There they are! They gave up on their futile escape!" As they got closer each of us got in our fighting stance, our pursuers' squad leader continued, "All of you! Beat them to death!" As they got closer, I started barking, "Alright, everyone… We're not going to regret anything! Show them what you can do!" I howled, "Let's do it!" We all charged at our attackers, the agents ran at them on their hind legs and did a flurry of attacks, bites, punches, kicks, slashes, and bites. While the rest of the Ohu army ran on all four and bit our opponents, turned around, and rear-kicked our attackers. The wolverines slashed with their claws, the birds clawed at them with their talons, and Nyx delivered venom to the enemy squad.
Phineas' POV:
We hear the fighting going on in the distance, it sounds like it is increasing in intensity. Perry put his foreleg around me and chittered, "You can't help them in this state… I must get you to safety." I looked over my shoulders and replied, "I know, but I can't help but think, if I did better, then it wouldn't gotten to this point." I turn around to look at Perry, "And now Hawk cannot be helped. Sheila counted on us to make sure Hawk doesn't…" I felt Perry tense up and he replied, "I know Phineas, but you shouldn't look back." One of the agents added with reluctance, "We've already decided that the others need agents to group up, and gather more agents that fled to other parts to confront SICO." Another agent remarked, "It's so our allies don't have to compromise on their policy and focus on SICO agents, while the remaining OWCA agents take on the human members." A large dog breed agent barked, "When one has a goal. It's not hard to risk death." Perry reassures me, "Hawk's not the type to break promises…" but this may be one beyond his control, no matter how hard he tries… I felt a dreadful omen looming, and we can't do anything about it, don't die, Hawk, please… for your sister's sake.
Hawk's POV:
We were putting up a fight as hard as we could, but their SICO agents were just as skilled as OWCA agents, and the injuries I had sustained in captivity were hindering my abilities and caused me to be staggered, the enemy squad leader barked, "He's close to death. Get him." The agents and others are calling out my name, and Willium told me, "Hang in there!" The battle started to shift for the enemy, as they outnumbered us, for every one of us, three or five of the enemies tackled each one of my allies, and an orange fur mongoose SICO agent tore into Nyx. I cry out, "Nyx!" As the mongoose weaponized the cobra agent's body and forced the fangs onto William's neck, the mongoose pressed Nyx's head deeper into the wolf-dog before he threw off his attackers, but the venom weakened him, and he got tackled again, I tried to fight through the pain, but I am staggering. I cried out, "William!" The squad leader laughed, "What a beautiful site." I tried again to move, but the pain held me in place, I growled, "You bunch of cowards aren't fighting fairly!" Chester barked, "Get away while you can, Hawk!" The squad leader walked up to Chester and bit down on his neck, growling, "You were on SICO's side before… you keep switching sides!" Chester replied, "I have not changed!" The squad leader retorted, "What?" the bull terrier answered, "We're soldiers of Ohu and agents of OWCA, some even both. Our souls will always belong to the real Leader and our families!" Roaster gasped, Timmy barked, "He said it!" I was just as amazed and added, "Well done. Well done, Chester!" Chester continued, "As for some of you SICO agents, I know the Coronel is holding your family as leverage against you, to force you to work for him. You have to have faith, break free from that demon's hold on you, and resist him. Ohu and OWCA will save them from him." I see that the SICO agents hesitating and facing inner turmoil with their dilemma, but the Squad leader glared at Chester, "As for the rest of you who are doing this for power and nothing else… holding loved ones hostage to make your subordinates do your bidding… you'll never…" Chester took a labored breath and finished, "Never have a good soul like ours!" This angered the squad leader and he crushed Chester's windpipe. After Chester died, the squad leader stood up, spitting out blood, barking "Trying to make a heroic speech in an attempt to encourage rebellion with your dying breath is completely asinine." I got into my fighting stance and growled, mustering the strength to push through the pain, "A horrid creature like you and the Coronel will never understand." He turned to me growling back "What?!" I step closer to him continuing, "I'll send you down to the netherworld!" I barked, "Whoever wants to go there first, bring it on!"
Mark's POV:
I ran up the hill, jumping over fallen trees, trying to get where Hawk and the others were before it was too late. I must not fail! I cannot fail… not this time… I won't have it. I won't have it, I won't have it!
Hawk's POV:
There is only Timmy, me, and Roaster out of those who stay behind that are left. We are outnumbered 50 to 3, the first three that came at us, I bit the attackers by the back of their neck and threw them aside. They all came at us all at once from all sides. An enemy managed to latch his fangs onto Roaster as I cried out his name, just then another enemy dog bit mine and I lifted him up, and slammed him to the ground, causing him to release his bite, as I bit him in return, and threw him aside, before a third bit my wounded side, staggering me allowing the forth to bite the back of my neck, tackling to the ground. Timmy who was also tackled, cried out my name, "Hawk!" The squad leader commanded them, "Finish them off now!" The enemy tore into my two-remaining team, I barked, "Timmy… Roaster!" Timmy breathing heavily barely able to muster a bark, "At least we had the honor of fighting alongside Hawk… We had hoped that we could help and be useful to Ohu in the end…" I stared at him, seeing him become weaker, Roaster at death's door barked, "Our wishes are fulfilled. There's no more to say." I struggled to get up, but the two enemies held me down, I growled, "Don't say that nor give up!" Roaster as he closed his eyes replied with his last breath, "Sorry…" Timmy barked, "We've reached our limits…" I had my eyes opened, it must not end this way, "…Ha-Hawk…" Before he could say anything else, a large paw from a Great Dane slammed down hard on his head. I looked from Timmy to the traitor, Hannibal, as he barked, "Oh, how beautiful. A death speech." I glared at him, both he and his cousin, Alpheus, had been tormenting this world.
As I glared at Hannibal, he barked, "Morons. If you had the energy, you should have bitten more than you had barked." Seeing him here was surprising, I expected to only have his goons go after us, I barked, "Hannibal!" Hannibal's subordinates looked at one of their top leaders as they barked, "Hannibal-Sama!" Then he walked up to me, "You have no idea how long I've waited to drop the act and finally eliminate the Ohu, starting with you." This traitor thinks he can just kill me while I lay vulnerable. He's got another thing coming, I barked, "I'm not going to die the way you want me to, traitor. You are nothing but just a cold-blooded good-for-nothing creep." Hannibal turned sharply at me and then barked, "Screw you! You are going to be beaten to death for that." I scuffed, then jumped up and ran towards him, biting him as he jumped over me. As Hannibal did, I jumped upwards, timing it just right to bite his belly, and attempted to pull him down. Unfortunately, he is an agent, he somersaulted, allowing him to kick the wound on my side, forcing me to involuntarily release my bite, and then he twisted around to punch me to knock me aside. Despite that, I managed to land on my feet, as he landed in an agent fighting stance and he growled, "Just hurry up and die. Your pride will be ripped asunder." I leaned into my fighting stance as he positioned himself into a sitting pose, looked away as if I was not worth his time, and growled, "You traitor! Fight me!" He signaled his lackeys, "Do it!"
His subordinates all at once attacked me, restrained me, and threw me aside, as others bite into me. And threw aside. Echo, it's time for me to go the way of my great-grandfather as we go our separate ways… After landing on my side, Hannibal chuckled at my suspense… But I can't die without giving my soul to someone… I must give it to someone.
Valiant's POV:
As we are heading through the gardens, I could have sworn I heard someone… I looked up… then Kevin looked at me and asked, "What is it, Valiant?" I looked forward and replied, "I can hear someone's voice." Kevin replied, "You're imagining it." I could hear my great-father mutter, "It can't be happening, not like John…" I turned around and headed to the hillside as I barked, "I know I heard someone!" Ran in that direction, Kevin calling out to me as he and the others followed, barking, "Wait, Valiant!" I ran up to the hillside, barking, "Someone's coming." Then we saw Phineas, Perry, and 18 other agents heading toward the direction of the hotel.
We ran down a steady slope down the hillside and met up with Phineas and Perry. I saw them all wounded, I gasped at the sight, and Kevin whimpered, "What happened!?" Phineas looked down and replied, "We'll tell you along the way to the OWCA Emergency Safehouse." Phineas and Perry told us everything from the moment they fell into a trap, the outcome of the competition with the evil scientist, and how one of the events involved that robotic mutant that attacked us, the SICO takeover of OWCA, and how they managed to escape with Hawk.
Once we got near the safehouse entrance next to the hotel, we smelt the familiar scent of iron and steel, Kyoushiro cussed, and Perry chittered, "Langrage, Kyoushiro! You rub more than enough off on Phineas!" Kyoushiro just groaned, and growled, "Now's not the time, Perry! There are guns!" As if the human overheard us, replied, "It's been called off, canceled before it started! Thanks, to these kids finding and returning the chickens that you were swapped with… and the kids convincing us." Muttering to himself about how weird inter-species communication is. We saw Hidetoshi wearing the animal translator earpieces that Phineas's brother and sister were wearing. Thank goodness Phineas's siblings and friends prevented another serious problem from being added to the list. Then Candace and a girl in a pink outfit and black hair both jumped out of the truck, eyes widened when they noticed Phineas's and Perry's injuries, jumped out of the truck, both yelling, "What happened to you two!?" the girl turned to Phineas exclaiming, "Especially, you Phineas!?" I can hear the worry in their voice, especially the pink-outfit girl. Phineas chittered, "Isabella, Candace, everyone…" and once again, he explained everything that happened from our first rescue attempt to now.
Phineas's sister, Candace, pulled out her phone again, exclaiming, "Okay! It's getting way too serious, I'm calling mom." Perry opened the secret door to the safehouse, Ferb grabbed Phineas's shoulder, he didn't say anything, but Phineas turned to him, and chittered, "I know Ferb, but we need to meet up back with Echo." Perry looked away when he said that. I could tell Phineas was lied to so they could get him away from danger. Candace sighed with exasperation exclaiming, "She's not picking up, and Mom and Dad should be back by now!" Perry looked up, and even he looked worried. Phineas and Ferb look at her and back at each other. Ferb let go of Phineas. Hidetoshi said, "Okay kids, go back to the hotel room. I will give Phineas and Perry some medical attention." Isabella protested, but Ferb put his hand on her shoulder, and she looked at Phineas, then sighed, relenting, "Okay, fine. Get well soon, Phineas." And the rest of us started entering the safe house.
Once we got into the safehouse under the hotel, there were a few more dozen OWCA agents who escaped SICO's takeover of their HQ, and only a few of their superiors and their interns had managed to escape with them. Sheila ran up to a chihuahua and barked with relief, "Pinky! You're alright." Sheila and Pinky hugged each other, "I was so worried when I heard about SICO's double agents started attacking." Perry looked around and chittered, "Alright, Admiral Acronym her intern Carla…" seeing 2 women in pink outfits, with brown hair, and green eyes, and next to her an 18-year-old with brown hair with a ponytail, white blouse with frills, wearing purple peril neckless, and purple triangular glasses, "Major Monogram and Carl…" seeing an old man in a green uniform and his intern the same age as Carla with red curly hair, purple half rounded glasses, in a white suit and brown pants, "…and…Max had all made it… but…" he looked at Max questioningly, and Max said, "He's been captured…" Phineas looked at him in surprise, and so did all of us, he knew SICO's plans, but he still ended up captured, Wanda then added, "It was all abrupt and sudden, devious double agents rudely discarded their fedoras and replaced them with bowler hats, and started assaulting us and their co-agents." Carla then nervously said, "It was all so terrifying!" Carl put his hand on her shoulders, "Good thing Pinky took the initiative and managed to get agents to this safe house."
Then I hear, "I knew there would be times dad would fall off the wagon a few times, but this is a serious relapse..." I turn to a teenage girl speaking, she's around Candace's age with long dark brown hair, dressed up like a vampire Pilgram scuba diver, "I want to believe that he didn't expect this to happen, especially with the double agents... thanks for getting us out of there, Monty." then a 17-year-old in a grey hoodie with the hood down, light grey pants and shoes, with brown hair, "No problem, Vanessa. there were some close calls, but we got out of there." They saw Phineas and walked up to him, and Vanessa said, "Shoot Phineas, tough fight you had, huh?" Phineas nodded.
Phineas looked confused and he told us "I was told that your father already had left for the safehouse." Phineas looked around and asked, "So, where is he?" Perry confessed what I dreaded, "Hawk lied so you wouldn't stay with him." My great-grandfather muttered, "Th-this is just like with John." Phineas stammered and nearly stumbled.
Phineas got angry and kekered, "WHAT! Hawk lied about Echo being here?!" Phineas turns to Perry raising his claw in a pointing motion, "And you knew he lied?!" Perry held his foreleg, rubbing it as if Phineas got angry like this about being lied to before. Perry replied, "If he hadn't, we wouldn't been able to get you away from there. Sorry that you were lied to again." Phineas raised his voice higher, "Sorry doesn't cut it. There were 34 of us, we could have a chance!" I got to stop this argument, I barked, "STOP it, you two!" They turned to me, and Phineas chittered, "Sorry, Valiant. It's just when it comes to serious things, I dislike being lied to." I looked at them for a moment, "Let's just get to the subject of my father…" they nodded, and I asked, "So, anyways… my father is the only one, besides the captured agents, left!" They nodded and Perry replied, "We're sorry, we have failed the whole mission." And Phineas chittered weakly, "And now OWCA once again is in per-peril." Phineas nearly collapsed, I exclaimed, "Phineas-San!" but Perry caught him, and gently lay him down.
Hidetoshi tended to the both of them, saying "I need to give them medical aid, and check for other signs of injuries… Especially from the… hovercar accident." As he picked them up, and others were on looking their treatment, I turned for the exit, running out. I looked over my shoulders, Phineas and Perry, please feel at ease. Instead of you two, I'll go. And started running towards the gardens.
Mark's P.O.V.:
Once I made my way over the hill near Hawk, I saw a horrible sight, 12 agents, and the dogs I'd sent lying dead, scattered over the field. Hawk is the only one left alive, but barely. The Hannibal's pack and other SICO agents were throwing him onto his back, thrashing side to side, I gasped and barked, "Hawk-San, Hawk-San is…" Seeing him being tossed around, and being slashed with fangs and clawed up, I was horrified at the scene taking place before me.
Hawk's POV:
As I stood there, struggling to remain on my feet, seeing myself bleeding and breathing heavily, I gritted my teeth, as Hannibal mocked, "What's wrong, Hawk? Scared now?" I collapsed unto my side, "Echo's right hand is only mere mutt?" I glared at him as he barked, "Begin crying. Plead for help and beg for your life!" I mustered the strength to respond, "You two-faced traitor… never will I plead to a dastardly two-faced traitor like you..." Hannibal barked angrily, "Don't get dull, you lot! Kill him!" All his subordinates charged at me and tore into me, and as they did, I got a glimpse of Mark, he was about to run down the hill, but he wouldn't be able to survive this encounter, so not want him to die with me, I barked, "Don't! Don't come over here! You are not to come over!" There is one subordinate holding me by my foreleg, two others holding me by my neck, as they twist their bites, I continued, "There are more important things than my life in this world! Resist it! Please resist it! You still have tomorrow! Keep your own life for it! I see Mark reluctantly stayed here he is at.
I felt pain as Hannibal's subordinates dropped me to the ground. Hannibal walked up to me, standing over me on his hind legs, folding his forearms as he mocked, "How was that, Hawk? Had enough?" he lowered his forelegs as he boasted, "I'm Hannibal, the Descendent of Hougen of the Alps. You'll never beat me." Unless it's one-on-one, you coward! Hannibal demanded, "Beg for your life!" I turned my head to him, too weak to lift it, and responded, "There's no such true Ohu soldier or true OWCA agent who would beg for their life to someone like you." Hannibal glared down at me as he scoffed, "Unless we have their family as leverage, as the Colonel has shown. In which case, they will do anything, so we don't kill their loved ones… even being a SICO agent…" These three demons, Hannibal and Alpheus are not dogs and the Coronel is not human. I glared back at Hannibal and retorted, "Hannibal, there's something I want you to know." Hannibal narrowed his eyes even more at me, "Sooner or later, you, your cousin, Alpheus, and even the Coronel will all regret that you ever set your paws upon not only Ohu but the world." Then I narrowed my eyes harder, "My friends will make sure of that." Hannibal howled, "Shut UP!" and he latched his jaws on my neck tossed me over behind him, and slammed my head to the ground, "Go on, do it. Start crying for help! I'll end this quickly if you do!" Laying on the ground I weakly growled back at him, "No one, absolutely no one would ever beg a low-life, good-for-nothing traitorous scum like you. I refuse." He lurched his jaws down on me, lifted me up, and rammed me onto a spiked branch behind me.
Phineas's POV:
I felt more dread, Perry and I had bandages covering our wounds after having them disinfected, and our vitals checked. The hovercar accident didn't cause any serious injuries, the bites received in the fight with Hannibal caused the most. This dread made me more concerned for Hawk, so I jumped down from the medical bed, Sheila exclaimed, "Phineas!" Kevin looking in my direction as I walked to the exit, barked, "You can't! Not in your condition!" Hidetoshi rushed to the doorway, like any good doctor would, and blocked me from the exit, giving me a stern look, saying "Usually, I can't stop those affiliated with Ohu Dogs. But this time, since you are a human-turned-animal, still with the mind of a human…" Looking at Captain Daisuke, "…just like with Takeda, I can't let you go… besides you are not released, yet." I looked at him, as Perry held my shoulder, "I order you to rest." I turned to Perry as he chittered, "I know you're determined about this mission, but you're too injured." Not wanting another fatality, I replied, "We just can't let Hawk die." Kevin commented, "This is bad…" he turned to his side, "…Hey, Valiant, what do you…" I looked to where he was looking as he paused noticing he was not there, barking, "Huh?" The others went out.
I see them outside as Kevin barked, "Just as I thought… he went by himself." Jeremy turned to him and replied, "We have to follow his scent before it fades." Sheila turned to us and barked, "The rest of you stay here and guard Phineas." Perry stood up and made his way to follow… I know he's less injured than me, but I have to go too, but he turned to me, "You stay here, Phineas." I reluctantly followed his command as he received the go-ahead from Dr. Hidetoshi.
Hannibal's POV:
As I basked in my artwork, I cackled and barked, "What do you guys think of my handiwork?" I formed my paws as frames. Hawk breathed heavily, then I became shocked as he mustered up the strength to break the branch from the tree, with the branch still lodged in him turned to face me, still in a fighting stance barking, "Hannibal, if you think anyone will ever cry out to you in the end, you got another thing coming!" I felt myself trembling as he stepped closer, then he twisted around to the branch and bit onto it, pulling it out. Hawk held it up high, growling, "Even if my body perishes, my soul is crammed with spirit. That will go straight to my friends." He turned his eyes towards me, "A worthless traitor like you can never destroy that!" and tossed the spiked branch at me, grazing my face as it impacted, I growled, "You…" Then he collapsed, and I charged at him with my fangs and thrashed him around as I growled, "You welp of a mutt! Stand up, you mutt! You don't die unless I tell you to! I'm not done torturing you yet!" I continued to bite, tear into, slam, kick, and punch him, one of the young SICO agents, who had worked with us reluctantly since we held his family as leverage, cried out "Stop! Stop!" sobbing like a wimpy child, I shot him a side-glance as he sobbed, holding his head, and pointing at Hawk whom I'm gripping in my jaw, "He's already dead!" I growled as I bit harder before dropping the German Shepherd, barking, "How boring." I turned and barked in the direction of the plane, ordering, "You lot! Let's go!" We left for the plane.
Valiant's P.O.V.:
I finally made it deep into the woodlands of the garden, and I saw Mark standing over Hawk as he cried out "Hawk-San! Hawk-San!" I was surprised to see Mark here as I ran up to the two, looking at Mark barking, "Mark-San!" Mark looked as confused as he returned with, "Valiant…!" I turned to Hawk lying on the ground as I barked, "How awful… could he be Hawk-San?" Marked nodded. I saw Hawk stir and open his eyes, Mark exclaimed, "Hawk-San!" I lowered myself and barked, "Hang in there! Hawk-San, right? A comrade of my father's?! I'm Valiant!" Hawk weakly barked, "Valiant...?!" So, Valiant's here?" He turned his head up towards me, verily able to even lift his head, "I'm so sorry… just laying here… I had completely failed to protect your father." Hawk lowered his head, "He's still imprisoned and wounded… to the point of being unable to walk properly…" I am taken aback hearing this, "But he's still an important hostage to SICO. It's not just Echo, Phineas's parents were recently captured and held hostage as well. They won't simply kill either of them." Phineas's parents? Captured? Now we must break the news to him. Hawk barked, "Where's Brook? I must tell him…" Hawk-San thinks I brought reinforcement?
I sense the others catching up to me as I hear Perry chitter, "Hawk!" and Sheila barked, "Brother!" Hawk barked, "Those voices… Perry? Sis…?" Once Kevin, Ace, and Jeremy, walked up, Perry and Sheila walked up to Hawk who asked, "What about Phineas-Kun…?" Perry replied, "Phineas is safe." With Sheila bending down, cuddling Hawk in her forelegs, "Soon you will be too, brother… hang in there…" I sense she's bottling up her pain, Hawk barked "Sheila, wish this reunion was under better circumstances…" he paused, to feel her comfort before continuing, "Bring Brook here. I need to tell Brook!" I turned to Perry as he looked at Kevin replying, "Brook is right here." Kevin whispered, "Me?!" as Brook was barely able to look up, believing Brook was here, "Brook... Brook? You take it from here. Give Echo the needed help… and Valiant… make sure he becomes strong." Hawk's breathing became heavier as Perry replied, "It's alright. Right, Brook?" Kevin stammered for a moment before replying, "Of course." Perry turned to Hawk, and lied, "Brook has thousands of soldiers and found thousands of agents who escaped and came to our aid." I stared at Hawk, held in Sheila's foreleg, as she and I began to feel tears building up, as we were giving him a false reassurance, "We'll completely throw down Alpheus, Hannibal, and the Coronel. It is SICO that's going down, not OWCA or Ohu…" Hawk weakly laughed replying, "Glad to hear it. But don't take those three lightly. They have Echo." Perry stepped closer, to Hawk as Pinky put his paw on Sheila's side to comfort her, seeing her shaking. Perry continued to assure Hawk, "It's alright. All the Ohu soldiers and OWCA agents have already invaded the plane and stopped their lift-off." Perry closed his eyes as he continued lying, "Echo and the other hostages have all been rescued by now." Hawked replied, "As expected from Brook…" Perry opened his eyes, and lifted his head, "Agents will take on the Coronel…" looking at Gin, "Ohu won't have to compromise on your policy against attacking humans…" After Gin nodded, Hawk replied, "Thanks, Perry." Perry turned back to Hawk, "We'll soon hear the signal. When that happens, the attack is over." Hawk coughed, and Ace and Jeremy gave the false signal via howling, Perry chittered, "Can you hear them, Hawk? That's the signal that the bosses have been captured. The Coronel has been sent his way to OWCA-Traz. And Hannibal and his cousin will be brought here and we'll make them bow in submission to you… just give us 5 minutes." Hawk replied, "I can't wait 5 minutes, even if I wanted to…" I ran to Hawk and barked, "Hawk-San." Mark chimed in, "Hang in there." Sheila barked, "Please, stay with me, Hawk, my brother.' Perry chittered, "Remember your promises about not dying, Hawk!" Hawk lowered his head as he barked, "Not good… I'm near my end… I inherited my disdain for waiting from our great-grandfather, John…No choice but to wait… but now, I will go to meet him." Hawk closed his eyes, I churred, and Sheila howled, "Hawk!" And she laid him down, and took off her hat, as the other agents.
Sheila laid Hawk's body down, and the animals stood around Hawk's body, mourning him, the agents took off their fedoras, placing them to their chests, and lowering their heads, Sheila was kneeling beside her brother. As for me, I stared at Hawk, feeling my sorrow change to rage, sorrowful rage, rage towards Hannibal for killing Hawk, Alpheus for capturing and injuring him and my father, and at the Coronel, for starting all of this. If he thinks he can do this and Ohu can't fight him directly because his human, he's got another thing coming! I turned to the direction of the Stadium as I heard a giant plane with SICO on the sides, knowing our enemies and their hostages were in there, and started to charge to follow it, barking "Alpheus, Hannibal, Coronel!" But Kevin grabbed my tail barking, "Valiant! It's no use!" I retorted feeling my tears filling, "Let me go! I'll bring down Hannibal, his cousin Alpheus, and their master, the Coronel! I'll bring all three down and save my father, and Phineas's parents!" Jeremy replied as I turned to him, "You can't do anything rushing in like that! Nothing will amount from it." And Ace added, "You can't cross the ocean! You'll drown before reaching halfway to their island!" I try to retort, but only can utter, "But… but…!" Kevin still holding my tail, "If you die, how would any of us be able to save your and Phineas's parents? SICO's evil would spread even further!" Ace turned to me and added, "We still have insufficient soldiers, Valiant! We don't have any choice but to get more!"
Perry's POV:
I saw Valiant looking down before he started crying out and swearing up a storm, and began sobbing. We all begin to build up tears.
Narrator:
Hawk's life was taken in the gardens. A descendant of John had met with the same fate. Like him, Hawk fought for his beliefs, principles, and pride until the end, until he too parted from this world… The generations are changing… But Hawk's righteous soul will live on forever inside the heart and mind of a young one… and a sister.
