Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Chao Cheer. Enjoy the 5000-word chapter. I do not own Sonic; Sega and a few others do.

Tikal fell silent, utterly silent and thrown off by Quill's words. She was fully and utterly aware it was not a lie by him, her tribe was used to using their conquests to conscript more and more people into their army which garnered them into larger and larger armies that only served to protect their people.

It was not to end today and yet her questions did not feel like they were at all answered, not in the manner she wished. Quill did not look at her with any real anger or hatred to his credit. Perhaps he simply was aware of the fact she was not a warrior of the tribe, nor did she wish to be.

"Are you ok?" Tikal heard from Quill who fell silent, looking around the room as well. "I am not going to try and harm you. It was a question, so I answered, was the answer not to your liking?" Quill asked, reaching out an arm to grip Scorch who nuzzled into the palm of his hand.

Tikal watched as Scorch scampered up his friend's shoulder, slowly winding his way to a perch on his shoulder before yawning and looking at Tikal. She reached up and tapped him playfully on the head before he hummed to himself and finally fell silent.

It was clear Scorch, nor his possible owner did not at all seem mad at her, both looked at her with interest rather than any type of malice. Quill tilted his head before Scorch hummed.

"Pato grmmn, la!" Scorch stated as Quill hummed.

"No, little one, she cannot follow you because she is busy with her duty as we are busy with. The garden can wait… And if you wish to go? Why do you always bring me?" Quill questioned as Tikal hummed.

"A Chao Garden in the Jungle?" Tikal asked as Quill nodded before looking at Quill. "I thought them only a myth," Tikal stated to which Quill was silent and only seemed to think for a few seconds.

Quill sighed and looked at Scorch before finally starting to think of what to do more and more. It was a lot more amusing to seem to think as Scorch climbed atop Quill's head, cooing incessantly as it seemed to think.

"It is not. Scorch wishes for me to visit it and yet I do not wish to. The area is sacred ground, and it was to be sacred for far longer. I do not think Scorch realizes I cannot do anything for now. All of it is so odd and odd." Quill said before rubbing at his temples as he slowly started to think of what needed to focus on.

Yet? There was a lot more to think about… Tikal was nothing if not curious about it all. She did not know about the outside world, and she was curious as to what it was and what it was like for now, and whether it was worth it to travel so far outside another part of the city for now.

It was so odd to see so many people here and yet start to think more and more problematic issues would arise from the ashes of now.

Tikal glanced over at Quill who was silent, utterly interested in more and more work for now. Quill was fascinating for her and yet it did not at all inspire her for the time being, so much needed to be addressed as of now.

Still? Tikal did not at all find it to be worth it for now. She still laughed all the same as of now and it was clear Tikal still liked Quill's company all the same. He yawned, utterly tired, and bored by it all as of now, utterly worn down from it all at the end of the day.

Tikal was going to be amused increasingly, focusing upon what needed to be said and done, all too easily contained, and yet? Tikal did not at all hold any animosity he may or may not own against him.

Quill was from another tribe which meant more and more amused, interested purely in what may or may not come from it.

"Can I… See the garden?" Tikal asked as Quill went to say something, more amusing than not but it did make her curious for now.

"I… Would allow you to if you wish, priestess, it is your say in matters either way." Tikal heard before she began to sigh to herself as of now.

And she did not at all blame Quill for his manner of speaking. It was simply how he wished to conduct himself as a person and it was not wrong to call her priestess as that was her title in life and she was proud of it, proud of it all more and more, dancing into the wind and beyond for now.

Still? There was a lot to unpack, something that needed to be addressed, and as she walked with Quill, ushering him forward with interest? It was simply worth it at the end of the day and all of them were aware of it, they all demanded better be done.

Tikal was silent, only demanding such praise be heaped on when increasingly came down to it. The idea more warriors existed that may or may not be willing to end sometime soon was funny enough to need to exist, need to be addressed, and handled sometime soon.

Yes, it seemed as if more issues would exist purely without them to stand in the way and would always stand in his way, more and more prepared for it all to end sometime soon, but it would always end in a certain way again and again.

Tikal was not going to be silent, all too interested before now. It was going to be a problematic issue for now. It seemed to be worse and worse, for now, Tikal was going to be more and more amused as she gestured him towards the guardians, looking around the rest of the jungle.

Scorch settled upon Tikal's head before frowning as he clicked his tongue and yawned once more for now.

"Well, there's a lot more to need to get it all said and done," Quill said before frowning. "Sorry, I am rambling for now, I do not at all know for more problems to try and handle for now. It was not going to be an issue at the end of the day, I do not know if something is going on, but we need to be prepared for now…" Quill stated before he questioned before he looked around as he looked upwards and then looked upwards.

Quill was going to be a lot more problematic issue for now. There were a lot more issues that seemed to need to be worse and worse of an issue.

"We need to get going then, so many issues to correct," Quill stated before raising an eyebrow at her for a moment.

Quill was silent and utterly so, interested in it all and fascinated by more and more problems that could only serve to be overcome by her ideals and fathoming what may or may not come to pass with each passing second for now.

It was not like he did not have reason to think in this manner. Tikal was from a tribe that had tried to conquer his for the moment.

It was a wonder a small number escaped but it was clear more and more if nothing else problems such as who would continue to fight and free their people would be far harder to come so far in the first place.

A war like this would continue, how would a war in this manner be fought?

Quill still held no will towards her. His father told him how innocent her tribe was in all of this, and Tikal seemed innocent enough for him to trust her. Quill did not wish to offend someone so close to Scorch.

"Is your tribe usually this peaceful?" Tikal stated before he sighed before now. "Sorry, I don't mean to pry," Tikal stated before frowning to himself before he questioned what to do next before looking around the room as he fell silent.

"Yes, but usually they're around the rest of the city," Quill stated before frowning to himself before looking around and slowly starting to think about now before it came down to it, such problems as of now.

"Are we going to be ok, Priestess?" Quill questioned to which Tikal shrugged.

"I do not at all wish you to call me priestess, Tikal is fine, Quill… And Scorch here? I can only ponder what it is like." Tikal said as Quill nodded and slowly started to march forward.

He was silent and utterly confused, for now, focused more and more as of now, interested in the next move.

"And you believe you are going to need to try to do better? You are doing fine." Tikal stated to Scorch who was busy trying to say something for now.

It did not at all bode well for Quill who fell silent, utterly, and purely baffled for now by it all, not as if it would more and more a chore with each passing second.

It was almost as if something else was holding them back for now, interested only in what would be questioned about now as of the moment, bored only for now as to how well it would need to be.

Still? He could only focus on trying to get it done correctly, curious as of now, it was not going to be more than ten could handle as now, focusing more and more interested in more and more moves coming to a looking upwards. It seemed now to be over sometime soon as Tikal found it to be more and more interesting for now, curious as of now.

It would only get more and more interesting as time went on; Quill only seemed to be capable of smirking as of now. Tikal was silent before looking to the side and slowly speaking, more and more amused for now, curious as now.

Tikal was silent, tapping on Quill's little head before it ended sometime soon. it could be done better for now, always more and more terrified, for now, only looking upward and tapping on Scorch's little head before now, smirking at all the gentle creatures who seemed to be at peace, slowly and yet surely.

Tikal could only end it if allowed and that seemed to be ending sometime soon. Tikal looked at Quill before smiling once more and slowly starting to look down at his feet.

It had become more and more fun, interested only in all of it ended to be ended sometime soon. It had become an odd little measure of peace for now.

"Are you going to be good for now? I am not familiar with it all, to be honest, and I cannot really try and end it anytime soon, it would need to end for now or not at all… Sorry, I am talking to someone else and it is not at all something I am going to get used to… I am not going to be able to relax." Quill stated before smirking to himself and looking upwards.

Quill seemed to be more and more tired as of now, looking before and yawning to himself.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Quill asked before looking upwards and tilting his head. "Are you going to be ok, Tikal? I am still trying to deal with it now." Quill stated before looking upwards.

All Tikal could only smirk to himself and yawned before now and smirked to herself and looked around to the boy behind now…. Tikal seemed to smirk as Scorch bounced in her arms and looked upwards and backward to Quill, only pausing for a few seconds as of now.

So many problems could only be solved so easily. It needed to get sometime soon, it was a lot more of an issue and it could only be fixed with more talks between tribes like now. Tikal leaned her spear across her shoulders and looked upwards and into the sky, focusing up.

"We need it sooner or later. It would only become worse and worse if there were more wars for now." Tikal seemed to state as she frowned.

The war was horrible before now and Tikal looked upward, eager to try and understand war more and more for the time being… War would continue to plague her people for now and she wanted to end it all.

Tikal would continue to grow more and more in the moment, it would only continue to grow in strength and wisdom over and over, for now, only getting stronger with time and effort.

She was also aware that people like Quill existed and opposed the war opposed it at the end of the day.

Tikal would grow more and more impatient with her elders on this course, yet it needed to come soon or not at all. It would entirely be up to them to get through this fully intact, eager to find some enjoyment in it.

All of it became more and more amusing at the end of the day. All these problems became more and more tiresome at the day and Quill found it to be somewhat adorable for now, looking to the side.

"Are you going to be entirely ok, Tikal? I do not even know what to do next. I am not at all sure what will be that way." Quill stated before smirking to himself and questioning what to do next.

"Are you going to be, ok?" Tikal asked before pausing. "And yes, I do not entirely know if I am going to be ok… There are a lot of problems today. All of it hurts more and more and I do not even know what to say and do for now." Tikal stated to which her friend was silent.

He had fallen utterly quiet, amused only to the degree that it would not be okay to almost anybody or anyone at the end of the day. They had a lot more to try and understand and slowly started to drip down into… She liked it so much that it was scary to try and relax upon now at the end of the day.

There was a lot more to try and understand, so much more to relax upon, and a very long trail that could continue to grow more and more relaxed.

She did not at all know what to do next when they found the shrine… There would be a lot more to understand over and over at the end of the day.

There is a lot she could try and focus on at the end of the day. Tikal could only relax when her fears were slowly put to rest and yet? She felt at odds around Quill, Echidna or not… He acted like he was from another tribe which had a lot of implications at the end of the day.

"Quill? Have you heard anything about the Chaos Emeralds?" Tikal asked as Quill turned, raising an eyebrow toward her as if not expecting such a thing.

Quill was silent for a few moments, unsure what to tell her or do. It was clear more and more at the end of the day that these sorts of things were slowly grating on him and it was beginning to nag him repeatedly to no real end. This sort of thing would only get better over and over at the end of the day.

"Rumors and tales. They are not often mentioned in my tribe… I do not even know what to try and think about them because well… They do not exist from what I have heard." Quill said as he snorted, tired if nothing else.

"But you believe in Master Emerald? You call me priestess at the end of the day which most people call me because of the few little quirks that come with it." Tikal said as Quill shrugged.

"I have seen Master Emerald, priestess Tikal. The Chaos Emeralds are far harder to find at the end of the day." Quill stated before he leaned on the wall.

"Maybe, but there's always beauty in legends, isn't there?" Tikal said before she smiled.

"Indeed. All legends are nice… But the gardens are not one and I am happy they are not going to die out sooner or later. Time seems to have a hand in shaping things a certain way more and more until it ends." Quill said as he watched Tikal fall silent, utterly silent, and unsure of what to try and speak of.

She settled for patting Scorch upon the head, bringing the Chao towards her face with ruffled amusement and patting it gently upon the head as if stopping it from being in any danger at the end of the day and it was clear more and more if anything that they had a lot of unfinished business to try to impress upon all people around them.

Still? She was silent as she knew Quill was curious and she had no answers for him, not ones that helped at all. It became better to try and relax now and again repeatedly.

She did not intend to try and worry him nor did she want to relax at the end of the day without a good reason as they were in danger repeatedly.

It careened downwards into the pit of despair forming in her stomach at the end of the time being. They had a lot more to try and figure out, more options to cut down, and a lot more options on the line while she looked downwards at the ground.

Quill hummed and tapped both ends of his spear before slowly starting to fall silent, utterly amused as she poked him on the nose before slowly starting to fall silent, relaxed, and entirely focused on the project at hand.

Was something else going to happen? He did not know, Quill would not know and could not at all know for now, something that rocked his brain to the extreme, made himself want to cut every single one down… Yep, it was all going to burn, all going to burn for now again and again.

More Chao was crying as the two slowly started to fall silent, listening to the cries on the wind, amused and hopeful before she looked at Quill before he slowly started to look upwards and into the sky. This was going to end once more over and over as

There was just far too much on the mind to try and fixate upon something that he just could not at all be afforded to deal with nor would he relax anytime soon.

Well, not with it all running so far out of control that he would be unsure of himself repeatedly. Not once would Quill allow himself to relax and get this under control, it would not at all be something that he could deal with realistically more and more until he exploded.

Quill stayed silent as he utterly became tired more and more as the Echidna was silent, utterly unsure, and utterly worn down to the bone by certain problems, ones that not need be sated so easily nor given ample time and effort.

Tikal did not at all envy those who had the power and control to do something better nor did she envy those who were not pacifists like her. She did not at all stray from violence but she did not heed the call of it the same way that her peers would and she knew it repeatedly at the end of the day.

She did not at all understand up at the end of the day before at the end of the day when push came to shove. She would not at all heed its cry even if she wished to, not when there was even a faint cry now to try and relax.

No, she needed more and more to pace herself. See it end properly if anything, she did not need to come running to the first sign of danger. She would defend others but if nothing else?

She would not see it end, not soon, not at all did she wish to see it end, and yet? Problems would arise, and the power and duties that came with all such things would bother her more and more at the end of the day was more hoping for a miracle.

It was something a lot more amusing than it seemed to be now, something that affected them more and more, making it harder and harder still to accept and take out now.

There were a lot of signs that it did not at all make sense at the end of the day, a sign that could and would be allowed to end before too much damage was done to be fixed, for now, a measure of mercy he did not decide he wished to need.

Tikal looked around the room, too interested in the moment and more with each passing second, an idea that could and would begin to end and would keep growing. It was a lot more amusing and a lot more tiring, unsure, and uncertain.

Tikal looked at Quill who had been blinking in astonishment now, she knew more and more about the fact that they could relax now.

He looked down at the ground, unsure and uncertain of what to do next as he looked down at the ground. She did not even know him and she was reacting as he did more and more.

This was a larger problem more and more as both looked upward into the sky for now. They had a lot more to try and talk about when the Chao returned… All about when it comes down to it… The identity of which she managed to relax.

Tikal was able to focus downwards at the ground. She looked at the ground, unsure of what to try and figure out for now. Yes, it was odder and odder as she looked downwards at the ground.

"Are you going to be, ok? We have a lot more to try and do next… It is not easy to deal with the fact you are the leader of the priests." Tikal heard as she looked downwards at the ground.

Tikal was unsure of what to say and do next when she cracked her fingers. They had a lot more on the line for now, tapping her fingers on her arms as she walked.

It was nice, very nice, they had to keep going and relax… All of it was going to awaken.

She looked at Quill who was silent, utterly amused more and more at the time being, a measure of madness that could only be dealt with by a measure at the end of the day. It would be a lot weirder than anything she usually dealt with as Tikal hummed, yawning to herself before looking downwards.

"Are you ok?" Quill heard as he nodded for the moment, a desire which painted it all in madness. "Because I can tell something is putting you off… What is it? Am I doing something weird?" Quill heard from Tikal as he hummed, utterly unable to do much.

"I am just tired and worn down from it all. There are a lot of things I do not know what to try and deal with… All I know is normal. I do not dabble in sorts of forms like this." Quill stated before he hummed to himself.

He knew something was wrong. All of it was off for now. A measure of which he would relax handling as of now, something about this rubbed him the wrong way. He felt as if he was dripped in fire and poison and rolled to try and end as he clicked his tongue.

Quill did not know her and she did not know him, not when it all came down to it at the end of the day. There was just too much to say and do, knowing what would come, what was awaiting them at the end of the day, an idea that was not yet dealt with anytime soon.

There was more there, a LOT more to try and figure something out that could be dealt with for now… There was just too much to try and do something.

He had other problems trying and figuring something out that he could afford to relax, knowing what was coming down to it.

There was a lot more to try and figure out something that he could be dealing with. He would not have to try and figure out something that he could afford to back down.

They had a lot of options to try and he could have dealt with a lot of things…. There was too much that he could afford to deal with, knowing that she would keep cutting through the pain and suffering.

This would not be something he could relax more and more at the end of the day and yet he seemed to be dealt with. All Quill could do was allow it to come crashing down, she did not want to point it out to be dealt with for now as she looked to the ground.

She could let it handle it for now, too interested in what was coming next. She wished to see this all come to an enjoyable end, all she could think of was how it was coming to an end.

She looked at Quill, looking at the objects of his attention, ready to relax, to cut it all loose. She would be willing to end it, willing to end it within it for now.

What she did do next? What did she wish for? It would not be dealt with in droves and droves. She wanted to stop this, stop it all from ending within good reason, too exhausted, the interesting thing was coming down the line.

She was scared, all too scared, all too worried, all too fascinated by what was coming to an end… And yet? She had been too conceited to relax, to deal with this goal in the waves and droves.

It felt hard to imagine, too interested, too relaxed, and too interested in whatever needed to be dealt with, whatever needed to be managed to the end of the day.

They were both thrown off and they both acted like they had been thrown off for fear of not letting their emotions out at the end of the day. It had been funnier and it would always be funnier to them to try and deal with it for now.

She had been unable to try and deal with it for now. She had managed to relax for now as she paused to think of it for now and then looked to the ground.

She had not been unable to deal with it for now as she clicked her fingers together and then looked downwards.

"You should know there are things you might be unaware of when push comes to shove… I do not know if you can handle what I must tell you at the end of the day…" Tikal stated before she looked over to her friend.

She knew more and more with each passing second that it was going to be chaotic to the nth degree when it came down to it as of now, he had been too interested in what was growing on his mind before he seemed to deal with it.

He had been familiar with it and he sighed before he looked down on the idea, for now, he would continue to let it all end before he sighed to himself for now.

To be fair? She had guessed right about him at the end of the day as of now as she sighed.

"You, ok?" Quill asked before he sighed and rubbed at his arms, knowing what was going on, not wanting to intrude on anything, and knowing what would happen next before now.

It would be impossible to have done next, for now, not once did it end, not could have. She looked around the room, expecting some sort of aid only to be met with nothing as she sighed to herself.

She had herself to blame, to understand when it came down to it as of now, knowing what would become of it as she paused to let it all end.

She had been able to think of the moment as she paused to let it all end sooner or later. There was certainly something to be dealing with, something buried deep below eventually coming crashing upwards through the ceiling.

All of it was harder said and done when it was all over now. What little needed to be said and done now for Quill to be dealt with either one way or another?

Quill hummed to try and figure it out as he was able to deal with it for now, he paused to let it sink in just how odd it had become for now.

It would end sooner or later, either way, there was going to be something they could not just throw aside and end. She knew something was coming either way.

It was funnily enough something to be thrown their way at the end of it to the conclusion of it once more.

It was chaotic enough to drive her almost insane at the end of it and yet? She felt she had come down from there sooner or later, only time may or might not tell that much for now.

The silence was broken up far more by what had been going on.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-6500 words and will show more of both Tikal and her friend relaxing, until then, Lighting Wolf out
