Chapter III: Roses and fresh cookies...

Every morning he saw her. She always walked alone. She'd stand on the same street corner for five minutes, then cross the road and walk past his house. Her hair twirls in the wind, her beautiful eyes stare at the sidewalk she's treading.

You could give her God without confession if you only looked at her face. Sleek brown hair, hazel eyes, porcelain complexion, she's got it all. Her body, though shapeless, is pleasing to the eye.

She has long legs, which short outfits let you guess. She has her own unique look. A fan of biker boots, she often wears dark, whether in her clothes or her make-up.

"Helloooooo! What are you looking at Dal?" says Jack concerned for his friend who's acting so strangely.

"Umh nothing... just... umh... a... girl...umh" replies Dal, blushing.

"A girl? And why?" asks Jack, smiling at his blushing friend.

"Okay listen Jack...maybe you'll think I've lost my mind or that I'm crazy but I'm not, I'm just in love with this girl! Since I was 10!" confessed Dal.

Jack wanted to laugh and joke, after all it was a funny and illogical situation because he knew Dal was incapable of talking to a girl for more than 30 seconds before running off! But he didn't, he had too much respect for his friend and his feelings and decided to find out more about this mysterious girl.

"And does she have a name?"

"Yes, yes of course, her name is Patsy Holloway, she's 16." Says Dal

"Only 16? She looks so much older..."

"Yes, I know, and she acts a lot older too! But it's not so strange because her brother has always looked after her. Even if she knows how to defend herself perfectly." Add Dal with a chuckle.

"Her brother... Patsy Holloway... Holloway..." Jack ponders the name; he's sure he's heard of someone named Holloway but doesn't really remember him.

"Luke!" says Dal in annoyance.

"Butthead? You've got to be kidding me! Come on Dal, are you serious?

"Oh yes... unfortunately I am."

Suddenly, Patsy stops and turns around. She looks up at the Benson's house, her eyes sliding over the ground-floor window. The guys are closing the curtains, maybe she hasn't noticed them. She turns around again and keeps walking.

"I hope she didn't see that we were looking at her like a couple of idiots," Jack says.

"I hope so... I don't want any trouble with her, brother!"

"Well Dal! Good luck and have a good day at school, remember I've got the day off today? I really like private school after all!" laughed Jack before running upstairs to bed for a long morning.

"Good luuuuck!"

"Yes, yes, good luck, good luck... pfff... thank you! Enjoy your day off and leave me alone with my problems!" shouts Dal.

So, he hurried. He must go to school, alone, for the first time in a month since Jack moved in with the Benson. School is a daily nightmare for Dal. No one noticed him, so why did he think Patsy would?

"She's amazing, she's so cute and sweet. She can be a real b**** sometimes, but I don't care." Dal thought. She sits across from him at Chemclass, she has this amazing scent wafting around her, like roses and fresh cookies, a scent he really likes.

"I don't know her very well, and she... certainly wouldn't know me. I'm still in love with her. It's something I can't explain," Dal says sadly.
