Hey guys! It's been a while since I've posted here again. I'm sorry for that. I'm just terrible at thinking up story ideas and writing them down. I do have some Sonic disability/ illness one-shots I'm working on, the fic's not dead I promise! I will update it soon, but for now, I wanted to start something a bit simpler.

Now I need to start by saying this fan fiction is different from my Sonic disability / illness one-shots fic. This one is short headcanon ideas of Sonic suffering from disabilities and illnesses. This project wasn't even meant to be for this site, I made them for Tumblr posts, but I thought "hang on a sec, people might like these on too!" But due to them being short scenario ideas and not long chapters with spoken lines, I worry this may not interest people on here. However! I will upload it and see :)

Me not really being a writer, and never having a regular interest in writing actual stories or long chapters, I am much more likely to update this, as it's short and short things hold my attention better.

I am pleased to announce that I have written out 100 Sonic disability/ illness headcanon scenario's! so there will definitely be 100 chapters to post here.

I want to envision Sonic with as many disabilities and illnesses as possible. I want Sonic to be a relatable character for people living with these conditions. To see their hero living with the same conditions as them.

One thing I should point out, every chapter is set in a new AU, the disability or illness Sonic suffers from, resets in every chapter. So Sonic doesn't really have paraplegia, epilepsy, heart failure, diabetes, prosthetics, etc. all at once! and I should mention many disabilities or illnesses will be used more than once, all set in different AU's. For example, in one AU Sonic has a fear of swimming due to nearly drowning as a child due to epilepsy, whilst in another he can't swim due to arm weakness.

I should also say I know and fully understand these are not in-character whatsoever, I do not intend for them to be realistic game/ comic/ movie/ TV etc. Sonic universe scenario's, this is more of a headcanon of a universe I like to imagine in my head. As a kid, I was very ill and I was in and out of hospital a lot, Sonic was my comfort character during that difficult time, I would play Sonic on the Mega Drive and watch Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, all the whilst hooked up to a nebuliser machine as a chronic asthmatic. From the age of 11, I have been fascinated by stories of Sonic battling illness and disabilities, I guess because I liked to imagine Sonic being imperfect, just like myself.

I hope these headcanons will be good, for people living with certain conditions, and you can finally have a glimpse of what life would be like for Sonic in your situation.

Some of these ideas, I will eventually add into actual one-shot chapters in my other Sonic fanfic.

Also, these headcanons come with a TRIGGER WARNING. They may not be suitable for people who are easily upset, or triggered by negative things regarding disabilities.

I do not mean any hurt, upset or anything malicious by my headcanons. If I do upset anyone I am truly very sorry, and it's not my intention whatsoever.

In many of these stories, I do portray disability as a negative thing, or Sonic feeling embarrassed by having a disability, and bullying/ discrimination scenarios often come up. I personally feel Sonic would see having an illness or disability as something negative or embarrassing at first, but in time Sonic would cope with the situation, and this often reflects on my headcanons! as at the end, I often end it with Sonic coming to terms with the condition he's now faced with.

Feel free to leave a review or note me with ideas you'd like to see Sonic cope with, I'll try to add it to a chapter if I can! But the character must only be Sonic as the person living with the disability or illness.
