A figure hidden in the treetops watched as a team of 8 Konoha ninjas walked along the road. He didn't see his prey but he did sense a ninth chakra among them. 'Two jounin and six genin. The Demon brothers should have known better. Even with no one worthy of the bingo book that is too many ninja for them to handle…"
The Leaf ninja were suddenly alerted by Hinata. "There is a ninja in that tree up ahead!"
"Defensive formation protect the Tazuna!" ordered Yamato as mist started to envelope the area.
"It's the hidden mist jutsu! Naruto blow it away!" yelled Yamato
"Right, Futon: Daitoppa"
Naruto produced an enormous gust of wind that blew the mist away. The wind kept growing stronger and stronger trees started to become up rooted then he canceled the jutsu. It had done its job there enemy was no longer hiding he stood in the middle of the road in front of the group.
"That was quite a jutsu gaki." said the shirtless man with an enormous sword on his back
"Every one stick to the plan this opponent is a jounin after all. I didn't expect it to be Zabuza the demon but we wont let that stand in our way." said Yamato
"So the no name jounin has heard of me!" laughed Zabuza his chakra building along with his killer intent freezing the team 8 genin in there tracks.
Naruto stepped in front of Yamato the Kyuubi's Chakra bubbling from his skin. He was producing even more killer intent and chakra than Zabuza. "If you want to play that game I will win every time" smirked Naruto with two tails of orange chakra flowing behind him.
Zabuza started to sweat; he knew what that chakra ment he had fought it before when he tried to kill the Mizukage. "A Jinchuriki! I guess the demon brothers really were outclassed" shouted Zabuza
Naruto blurred into action charging straight for Zabuza. His initial punch was blocked by the flat of Zabuza's sword resulting in a loud clang. The shock wave rocked team 8 and Sasuke who had all stepped back the moment they felt Naruto's enormous chakra and killing intent.
'What incredible power its even greater than last time.' thought Sasuke
"Kurenai-sensei what is going on?" asked Hinata
"I don't know for sure but with the chakra Naruto is putting out we might have to back up." Kurenai replied
"Don't worry Naruto is in full control right now… in fact he is holding back a little." Said Ino
The others supprised at this just watched in shock as Naruto manhandled Zabuza. Naruto delivered a heavy kick to Zabuza sending him through the woods by the side of the road then skipping on water till he stopped in the middle of a lake that had been hidden by the trees.
Zabuza staggered to his feet and started going through hand signs "Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu" He cried as a massive swirling torrent of water crashed into Naruto sending him sprawling.
Yamato quickly used his Mokuton to form a dome around the others as he moved to engage Zabuza. He sent many spears of wood at Zabuza who blocked most but was stabbed in the leg by a branch. Quickly Zabuza cut the offending branch with his sword and fell back further.
"So this must be Konoha's new formation, a Jinchuriki and his partner, a wood style user. Quite the combo" Said Zabuza forming the hidden mist jutsu once again. Obscuring himself from view.
Naruto who was still recovering from the water jutsu shook his head and jumped to his feet forming a few hands signs 'Futon: Daitoppa' this wasn't like his first jutsu; it immediately cleared the mist and uprooted dozens of trees. It tore up all of the topsoil from his position to the lake and then uprooted a tree on the other side of the lake. Zabuza had disappeared.
"Hinata can you see Zabuza?" asked Kurenai
"No sensei, he is gone" was the reply
Everyone visibly relaxed. The teams put away weapons and Naruto dropped his Chakra cloak.
"Naruto are you still ok to travel?" Asked Yamato
"I am fine. Lets keep going." said Naruto
The group resumed their formation and continued along the road. They made small talk as they walked, former classmates catching up. Nauto who had grown up in insolation from his peer group listened in without turning around. Shino of all people was the first to address him.
"Naruto-san you are our age but I dont think we have ever met I don't remember you from the academy"
"Well I was trained separately from most people my age. It's because I have that chakra you all saw. Everyone wanted me to learn to control it so I didn't hurt anybody on accident" He said
"Yea! What was that chakra? It was super scary feeling!" questioned Kiba
Yamato cleared his throat "Naruto, the less you say about that the better."
"Right sensei. Sorry Kiba but I am not allowed to say anything about that chakra." Said Naruto.
'So Zabuza was right, he is a jinchuriki. Makes sense he would be paired with a wood style user' thought Kurenai.
"Anyway, how long do you think it will take Zabuza to recover?" Asked Naruto
"Without a medic? Probably a week but if he has one he could be ready to attack in three days" said Yamato
"Three days! Are you kidding? I busted half his ribs I bet!" exclaimed Naruto
"Like i said that is with a good medic. Most rogue ninja do not have the sort of assets you are used to working with Naruto" replied Yamato
"Yea Naruto we can't all live like you do." jokes Ino a smirking Sasuke nodding along.
"What's that supposed to mean?" questioned Naruto
"Well most people don't live underground for one. Second, most people don't have built in training and medical facilities in their house." Explained Ino
"But, but, Sasuke does!" exclaimed Naruto pointing at Sasuke
"Those belong to my clan."
"Then what about Danzo-sensei? Jiji?"
"Well he has got you there Ino-chan!" Said Yamato
"Ino, when it comes to people with his sort of power it isn't that uncommon. You should see where my cousin Shusui trains." Said Sasuke
Ino sighed 'I am on a team of weirdos, its like they don't know about regular houses'
"We won't be waiting for Zabuza to attack again anyway. Remember our orders we are going after his employer." Said Yamato
"What is the plan, Yamato-san?" asked Kurenai
"When we have delivered Tazuna to his house and secured the scene our teams will split up. Your team will continue with your mission and mine will go after Gato in the morning." Explained Yamato.
The rest of the journey was rather uneventful. The teams delivered Tazuna to his home where Kurenai released her genjutsu that had hidden him the whole time. Yamato's team didn't even go inside. They set up camp a short distance away. Yamato used earth style and his wood style to disguise their encampment from any passers by. It was only then that team Yamato relaxed. Naruto produced some instant ramen for the team to eat while they went over the specifics of the plan for the morning.
"So the plan is for Ino to gather information in the morning. I want birds eye surveillance first. Then Sasuke and Ino will kidnap one of the sentries for interrogation. When we have confirmed Gato's presence then Naruto will make a frontal assault with the Kyuubi chakra. While Naruto attacks the rest of us are going to take Gato and any paperwork we can get a hold of as well as start a fire. Lastly, with Naruto covering our escape, we will head back here. We will hold Gato in an underground bunker I will make. Hopefully Zabuza will have no reason to go after the bridge builder without his employer. I will also help speed up the building of the bridge so we don't wait around too long holding a prisoner in a foreign country is always risky.
