So, to my readers, I put the way this story goes into the hands of the first ten who read it. Below are surveys. THe first one decides Annabeth's fate. The second, how she and Percy end up.
The first question is, does Percy deliver the cold justice one would think Annabeth deserves, or do I have something happen that causes her to have a change of heart and set her on a path of redemption? If the majority vote "Justice", the story will be five chapters and culminate into Percy defeating Annabeth. If that is the case, the readers will be allowed to vote on how justice is delivered, whether Percy gets personal justice by killing her on the battlefield, or whether she gets legal justice and is sentenced to Tartarus for treason against the gods. If the majority vote redemption, round to will have Percy display a show of mercy. Annabeth is allowed to escape, but the fact that Percy spared her when he was in the perfect position to finish her off causes her to rethink her choice in allegiance
If the majority choose redemption, I ask the following question: does it stop at forgiveness, or does redemption lead to love? If it stops at forgiveness I might have nine chapters, the last one being from Annabeth's point of view, where she lamments what could have been if she had gone down a different path, and simply settles for the fact that just as she was instrumental in the near-distruction of the world, she was also instrumental in saving the world. If the majority choose love, I will have a tenth chapter as an EPILOGUE, probably six to eight years later, where Percy and Annabeth are married and have offspring. You, the readers can decide how many children they have.
