Sakura jumped as she felt an angry chakra coming her way. 'Who would be so foolish to break into the Hokage's house?'
Her hand inched toward her hip holster and grabbed a kunai. Whoever is foolish enough to break into their home, will regret his choice. As she inched towards the living room, she lunged at the moving figure. She pointed the kunai on his neck.
"I don't think attacking your Hokage like this is smart, sweetheart." Kakashi's voice rang into the room.
Sakura's eyes widened in surprise, and she quickly retracted the kunai, a mix of relief and annoyance washing over her. "Kakashi, you scared me half to death! What are you doing sneaking around like that?"
Kakashi, unfazed by her reaction, tilted his head. "I wasn't sneaking. I live here too. Don't hog the house, sweetheart. Or I'll kick you out."
Sakura huffed, a playful glint in her eyes. "Well, if you kick me out... I'll leave the village and go to Kiri. Chojuro and I had been corresponding before you had the courage to asked me out. He might still be willing to take me back, he seemed to like me a lot."
Kakashi raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise. "Oh, is that so? Leaving me for the Mizukage's apprentice, are you?"
"Why not? We are both apprentices to our respective Kage, we share a lot of background."
He turned and carefully pinned her to the wall. "I guess, I'll just put you on the Bingo book, I don't think Chojuro would like to date an S-rank criminal."
Sakura chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Well, I guess I'll have to behave, then. Wouldn't want to ruin my chances with the Mizukage's apprentice, now would I?"
Kakashi smirked, "As if I'll let him within five miles of you." He lowered his mask and kissed her on the lips. "And I didn't just lashed out on the elders because they were criticizing us. I didn't just fought for you just to let you go."
Sakura's brow furrowed as Kakashi's words. "What do you mean criticizing us?" she asked. Kakashi pulled himself out of Sakura's grasp. "Hey, look at me." She demanded. "What is that supposed to mean, Kakashi?"
Kakashi sighed, his gaze meeting Sakura's with a mixture of frustration and sincerity. "They were questioning our relationship, suggesting that it could harm the village's reputation. They implied that I should reconsider being involved with you, given the age difference and our history as teacher and student."
Sakura's expression hardened, a fire igniting in her eyes. "They have no right to judge us. We're both adults, and our relationship is based on mutual respect and understanding. If they can't see that, then it's their problem, not ours."
Kakashi nodded, appreciating Sakura's straightforward response. "That's exactly what I told them. I won't let their narrow-minded views dictate my personal life or affect our bond. But I wanted you to know what's going on in case you hear any rumors or gossip."
"They can talk all they want. Once they see what's under that mask, they'll understand why I tolerate being with an old man." she teased.
"So its all about my face? You sure know how to wound my manly pride." Kakashi mocked. "Well, maybe I should just show you another reason why you tolerate an old man."
Sakura smirked, her playful demeanor returning. "Oh, do enlighten me, Hokage-sama. Show me what other hidden talents you have that keep me around."
Kakashi's grey eyes glinted mischievously as he leaned in, his lips brushing against her ear. "Well, you see, I happen to be an expert in the ancient and sacred art of... making you scream my name for hours on end." He put is hands around her midsection and threw her on his shoulder like a sack of rice.
Sakura shriek. "Hey, Kakashi, put me down."
"Nope. I'll make sure you forget about Chojuro once I'm through with you." He walked towards their bedroom and threw her on the bed and pounced on her. "I'll make sure that you only remember my name."
