"Yumi." Kakashi called out, as he entered the house. "Yumi."

"Yes, Pa?" Yumi walked around in her sleepwear and rubbing sleep from her eyes. "You just arrived and you're already making a ruckus?"

Kakashi chuckled, ruffling Yumi's hair affectionately. "Sorry for waking you, Yumi. It's just that I think you would want to meet someone."

Yumi blinked, still half-asleep, but curiosity quickly replaced her drowsiness. "Meet who? You arrive after almost six months of looking for Mama and you return here without her. I swear, Papa, it better not be that purple haired ANBU agent. I swear to Kami, I'll Chidori her ass."

Kakashi laughed, shaking his head. "You didn't even mastered that jutsu, Yumi. But no, it's not Anko. It's someone you've missed for a long time. Sakura is here."

Yumi's eyes widened in disbelief, and for a moment, she thought she might still be dreaming. "Mama? Really?"

Kakashi nodded, a warm smile on his face. "Really. She's outside. Go say hi."

Without a second thought, Yumi rushed out of the house, her heart pounding with a mix of excitement and disbelief. As she stepped outside, she saw Sakura standing there, her presence casting a familiar warmth.

"Mama!" Yumi exclaimed, rushing into Sakura's arms. The two embraced tightly, and Yumi could feel the tears welling up in her eyes.

"Oh, Yumi," Sakura whispered, holding her daughter close. "I've missed you so much."

"I missed you too, Mama," Yumi admitted, her voice choked with emotion. "I never thought I'd see you again. Are you staying with us for good?"

She nodded, "Yes, Yumi. I'll stay here."

Yumi smiled through her tears, a mixture of happiness and relief flooding her. "I'm so glad you're back, Mama. Pa has been a mess without you."

Sakura glanced over Yumi's shoulder, her gaze meeting Kakashi's. The air was filled with a sense of acknowledgment and unspoken understanding. Yumi felt a surge of gratitude, realizing that her parents were making an effort to mend what had been broken.

Kakashi approached them, his eyes reflecting a mixture of joy and gratitude. "I told you I'd bring her back, Yumi."

Yumi looked at her father, a rare softness in her gaze. "Thank you, Pa. Thank you for bringing Mama back."

Sakura chuckled, wiping away a stray tear from Yumi's cheek. "It's good to be back. And it's good to see both of you again."

One day they watched the sun disappear from the horizon, as they sat by in the garden, a place where Kakashi and Sakura used to care for. Yumi spoke up. "You know, Mama, I always hoped Pa would find you. And now that you're here, everything feels complete."

"I know, sweetheart. I'm glad that Kakashi came for me." She smiled.

"But Mama..." Yumi started. "I saw you last night. You were in the bathroom, and I saw you cough out blood." she whispered. "Does Papa know?"

Sakura's expression shifted, a moment of vulnerability breaking through her usual composure. Yumi's concern was palpable, and Kakashi's gaze turned to Sakura with a mix of worry and care.

Sakura sighed, her gaze meeting Yumi's with honesty. "No, Yumi. He doesn't. But don't tell him. He blames himself as it is. I don't want to add more to his burden."

"Are you going to die?"

"No." she lied. "Its just something that I got while I'm travelling."

Yumi's eyes widened, her concern deepening. "But you have to tell Papa, Mama. He'll want to help you."

Sakura hesitated, torn between her desire to shield Kakashi from additional worries and Yumi's insistence on openness. This is the scene at Kakashi walked in on.

"Tell me what, Yumi?" he asked.

"Its Mama." Yumi started. "She - "

"I wanted help on cultivating the garden, Kakashi." she interjected and shoot Yumi a pleading look.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow, sensing that there was more to the story. "Cultivating the garden, huh?" He looked at Yumi, waiting for an explanation.

Yumi bit her lip, torn between her loyalty to her mother and the honesty she felt Kakashi deserved. "Papa, Mama was coughing up blood last night. She said it's nothing serious, but I think you should know."

Kakashi's expression shifted from curiosity to concern. He turned his attention to Sakura, who met his gaze with a mixture of vulnerability and determination.

"Sakura," he said softly, "what's going on?"

"Its nothing, Kakashi. Your daughter is just overprotective. Guess who she got it from, huh?" She said trying to divert Kakashi's attention.

Kakashi's eyes narrowed slightly, recognizing Sakura's attempt to deflect the conversation. He gently reached out and cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing against her skin. "Sakura, we promised each other honesty, didn't we?"

Sakura sighed, her shoulders slumping as she nodded. "Yes, we did."

Yumi watched the exchange, sensing the gravity of the moment. Kakashi's gaze remained steady, his concern evident as he waited for Sakura to share the truth.

Taking a deep breath, Sakura spoke. "I didn't want to worry you, Kakashi. I've been dealing with an illness for a while now. It's manageable, but there are times when it flares up."

"Is it serious?"

Sakura nodded. She looked at Yumi and avoided her eyes. "It might be." she lied again.

"What do you mean?" Kakashi asked.

"I'm fine. I can manage."

"Sakura."

She sighed, her gaze dropping for a moment before meeting Kakashi's again. "It's a terminal illness, Kakashi."

"Terminal? Why did you not tell me, Sakura?" Kakashi asked.

"Because there's no cure." She simply explained. "I don't need to bother you with problems that doesn't have a solutions."

Kakashi just looked at her. He can't believe the words that she is saying. "Yumi," he said, "get inside."

"But, Pa..." Yumi started to pretest but the look on her father's eyes shut her up. She immediately stood up and entered the house.
