Five years later...

Yumi stared at the gravestone in front of her. She placed the flowers she bought at its base. Her eyes traced the letters of the names engraved on the face of the stone.

Haruno Sakura.

Hatake Kakashi.

Her father died a year after her mother, and in his death bed, he asked her to be rested on the same grave as her mother. He wanted to be with her even in death.

The guilt ate away her father until he too left her alone. He felt pain of not being able to be with her mother during those times that she needed him.

"Papa, take care of Mama there, okay? I still don't forgive you for leaving me to deal with that annoying ANBU agent. She keeps on hounding me about you. I really want to chidori her but... I never mastered your technique." Sadness tinged her voice. "Maybe I forgive you, just a little bit." she amended. "But you better make sure you're with Mama and you're making her happy. Make her the happiest there, Pa. Don't worry about me, I'm fine. More than fine actually. As no one will scare my suitors away."

"Don't worry, Kakashi-sensei." A voice interrupted her musings. "I'll make sure to scare away that son of Orochimaru. I saw him bringing food to Yumi-chan a few times." Naruto said to the stone.

"Uncle!" Yumi whined. "I'm 24, and Mitsuki is a nice man. Although he's a bit weird."

"A bit weird? Him being able stretching his limbs for a good meter is a bit weird?" Naruto asked.

"Well, my father is Hatake Kakashi. I saw weirder things around him."

Naruto chuckled. "Yeah, you got a point there. Kakashi could be pretty weird."

Yumi sighed, looking at the gravestones with a mix of sadness and warmth. "I miss them, Uncle. Every day."

"I know, Yumi. I miss them too." Naruto put a hand on her shoulder, offering comfort. "But they're always with us, in our hearts."

Yumi nodded, wiping away a tear. "Yeah, you're right."

"Hokage-sama." A small, pleasant voice greeted him. "Yumi-chan."

"Mitsuki." Naruto greeted and saw that he is holding a bouquet of flowers in his hands. "Is that for Yumi-chan?" he asked.

Mitsuki looked at the flowers in his hands. "Uhm... actually no. This is for them." He pointed at the gravestone.

Naruto smiled, realizing Mitsuki's thoughtful gesture. "That's really sweet, Mitsuki."

Mitsuki nodded. "I thought they might like some flowers too. It's important to remember and honor those we've lost."

Yumi's eyes softened as she looked at Mitsuki. "Thank you, Mitsuki. That's really thoughtful of you."

Mitsuki smiled back at her. "I know they mean a lot to you, and I just wanted to do something nice and honor your parents, Yumi-chan."

Naruto patted Mitsuki on the back. "You're a good kid, Mitsuki. Yumi, you better not let this one go."

Yumi rolled her eyes. "But Uncle I thought you are going to scare my suitors away?"

"Nah. Kakashi would like this man."

"I'm sure, Uncle." Yumi affirmed.

Yumi watch as Mitsuki lower the flowers in her parent's grave. When he straightened, she reached for his hand and interlaced her fingers with his.

"Pa, don't scare Mitsuki away, okay?" she glared at her father's name. "I really like him."

"Okay, Yumi-chan," Naruto placed a hand on Yumi's shoulder. "Don't threatened the dead, he may just come back and chidori Mitsuki for holding your hand like that." He joked. "Come on, kids, let's have some ramen."

As they walked away from the gravestones, Yumi couldn't help but glance back one last time. She carried with her the memories of her parents, the love they shared, and the strength they imparted to her. Mitsuki squeezed her hand, offering silent support as they moved forward, carrying the legacy of those who had shaped their lives.

In the distance, the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the village. The echoes of laughter from the ramen shop mixed with the rustling leaves, creating a tapestry of sound that spoke of life moving on.

And as they stepped into the bustling streets of Konoha, Yumi couldn't shake the feeling that her parents were still with her, guiding her steps and watching over the path she walked. The journey continued, and she embraced it with a mixture of gratitude and determination, carrying the love of her parents with her every step of the way.
