Chapter 45: Schezo & Pierrot: Wild Card

It's morning at school, in fact, school hasn't even started yet. You are allowed to enter and amuse yourself until the classes actually start.

Schezo and his goons were in their cozy little HQ sitting around their table playing card games to pass the time, under the guise of training their unofficial member, Alucard. He might run the business after this school year. Might.

"I'm afraid I must fold." Lawrence placed his cards face down.

"Heh, poor Lawrence~ You've always had the worst luck playing Poker. Now behold the dominating power of my Four-of-a-Kind!" Carrie slammed her cards on the table. Four nines.

Schezo made a Tsk noise. "Please Carrie, you know better than not to underestimate me in poker."

"What? No! Not again!?" Carrie reacted, her back pressuring the back of her seat as hard as she could.

"I am afraid so!" Schezo stylishly AND dramatically laid out his hand on the table. "Straight Flush!"

"NO! My precious tokens!" Carrie cried out!

"Victory is mine!" Schezo cheered. "As is your "booty"." He smugly tilted his head to the freshmen of the group. "Show your hands, Alucart."

"Mwuhahahaha! TAKE THIS BLOODBAGS!" SLAM! "Royal Flush!" The little half-vampire tried to sound as cool as he could.

"Impossible! How could this happen!?"
"Hm."
"No way!" Schezo, Lawrence, Carrie shouted in that order.

"Hehehe." The sharp-toothed kid reeled in all the tokens. Leaving him with the majority, and Lawrence in 2nd place.

"We've trained this twerp too well…" Carrie grumbled, her cheek in her hand and her elbow in on the table.

"I'm not a Twerp!"

"I'm still not convinced otherwise." Her tone hasn't changed.

"I must say, excellent play there." Lawrence complimented this group's runt.

"Your poker face is coming along." Schezo complimented without complimenting.

"Yes!" He fist-pumped.

"You could be more anime while playing, though."

"What?! No!"

Meanwhile…

Clown!

Just a clown. Or more like a harlequin? A jester? Point is a female masked clown about this school age in a full harlequin suit showed up at school. It sure drew in some eyes. She sure looked familiar to some.

She waved, she did a few stunts, she did some slapstick. She also asked a few questions. "Hiya, I'm looking for a She-zo Weegay. He lost something, and I'm here to return it."

"Um… Uh… Look for the condemned detention room on this floor on the outer side of the wall, be careful."

"Oh I'll be fiiiiine." The clown dismissed the student's cautious warning in a jovial way. She comically pulled something out of her pockets. "Here's my card, I do birthday parties~"

"Pierrot"
Clown and Overall Entertainer

Pierrot found the former detention room pretty easily. Any and all onlookers of the clown shied away when she was in front of that door.

The clown put her ear to the door. And inside it sounded, as one would put it, very anime. They must be playing a card game. Pierrot could get down with it.

She made a gracefully dramatic movement just to knock on the door.

Inside, the gang of bullies jumped. They were too absorbed in their game.

"I'll fold and I shall go get the door." Lawrence offered. The other card players looked on.

"Oh!" Lawrence exclaimed. "Schezo, it's your friend." The unithorn demon stepped aside so the rest could see the red-and-black-clad masked girl.

"Hiya." She waved and giggled.

"Oh no, not here." Schezo sighed.
"The hell." Carrie had no idea what to think.
"Clown?" Alucart had no idea how to feel.

"Nice to meet you again." She said eyehole-to-eye to Lawrence. "I didn't get to thank you in person how much of a pleasure it was to sing with you in your school contest, sir." She shook his hands.

He chuckled. "Please, the pleasure was all mine working with you. Really, Schezo, why didn't you tell me you were friends with such a charming and friendly if strangely dressed lady with a beautiful voice?" Pierrot's body language jokingly agreed with the demon.

"Why even come here in that suit, …? " Carrie couldn't think of anything to call her anything creative. "We'd leave you alone because you're Schezo's friend."

"I'm very shy." The clown looked around. "Nice place you got here, Boss."

"Boss?" Alucard repeated.

She looked around. A dartboard, a mini-fridge, a broken arcade machine, suitcases, and a table perfect for playing card games. "Ya claimed a detention room for yourself?" The clown walked up to the table, leaning forward on it with her hands. She made the Dhampyr very nervous doing it. "Pretty neat." She looked at Schezo. "Did ya make a casino outta this place, Boss?"

"Good guess." He said flatly, mildly impressed she figured it out, but Schezo knew her. "More or less. It's something to do."

"And of course ya sure love doing it, don'tcha?"

"I love doing with any challenger that comes my way." Everyone but Schezo and Alucart laughed. "Damn it."

"Hahahahaharrrr. Gotta hand it to you, gal. You. Are. Funny. It's been a while since Schezo last slipped up."

"I've missed it."

"Well, I didn't." Schezo grumbled.

"Thank you, thank you." The clown bowed.

"I don't get it." Said the freshman.

"Why are you here? How do you even know I was here?"

"Ya told me you went to school at that building in the mountains, Boss."

"No, I didn't."

"Ya did or else I wouldn't be here."

"Hm." Schezo wasn't sure now. "Why are you even here?" He got back to the actual point.

The clown nonchalantly dropped something on the table. "Ya lost your wallet, ya dingus." She said dryly.

"Oh." He tried to play it cool but he was embarrassed. Only Alucard didn't pick up on that. "Thank you."

"No prob, Boss!" The clown looked at Carrie who was the closest to the window. "Hey, can ya open it?" Carrie did just that. "Thanks." She gave a thumbs up and an implied wink.

She jumped through the window.

The gang looked out the window wide-eyed. This weirdo jumped out of the window! That's a 1-floor drop! And she made it unscathed! She waved goodbye and climbed the school's surrounding wall with ease.

"Is she a secret member?" The twerp said.

"She's just someone I happen to know." Said the leader. "Leave her out of this."
