As before Farhat believes his parents are dead, however Snarchkoff also truly believes that they perished in an accident due to being under the control of Egokhan when he had planted the bomb on the plane. Egokhan would boast to Farhat's parents that though Snarchkoff had fought his control for just over a decade he had been controlling Snarchkoff for the past two years and while Egokhan let's Snarchkoff see the King and Queen briefly he then blinds them to Snarchkoff's eyes and makes sure that Snarchkoff doesn't remember seeing them or anything that happens in the labyrinth. Also this is AU because Snarchkoff is NOT a good guy in season 1, he becomes an ally in season 2, but since I don't like that season I'm ignoring that one and only focusing on the first season
After Tabujee had left Ali came over and whispered something to Farhat which confused Ben and Tilda though that confusion wouldn't last
"Are you certain of this Ali?"
"Completely certain, I can also reverse it and make sure if he decides to go back to Egokhan to fool him he won't fall under that demon's control again, but he won't remember anything up to this point in time if Egokhan's made him forget anything"
"Do it"
"What's going on Farhat?"
"Simple Ben, somehow while you and Ali were tying Snarchkoff up in the tent, due to a sting that he did Ali found out that Snarchkoff has been mind controlled by Egokhan, and that it's been at least a year if not more since Snarchkoff truly acted on his own will power. After he's free I need to talk to Snarchkoff about what he remembers and what Ali is offering him"
And so Ali frees Snarchkoff from Egokhan's control and as soon as he's free Snarchkoff speaks up and quickly learns that there were things that Snarchkoff did remember doing due to the fact that while Egokhan never thought of this scenario happening, he had also decided that after the final battle he would let Snarchkoff be free before being killed and having Snarchkoff remember his actions outside of the labyrinth amused Egokhan since he knew that Snarchkoff would die in despair However this also meant that Snarchkoff remembered setting the bomb on the plane and due to the fact that he didn't remember seeing the King or Queen alive in the labyrinth combined with the fact that Farhat wasn't with his parents meant that he also believed that the King and Queen were dead and that Farhat was now the rightful ruler of the kingdom, and with that knowledge Snarchkoff willingly bows to Farhat while speaking
"King Farhat I am loyal to you now, I'm sorry for all I've done under Egokhan's control including bombing airplane which ultimately kill your parents, and will be double agent if allowed to bring evil demon to justice"
"I accept your offer and officially pardon you for your actions Snarchkoff, I'm sure that if they were alive and aware of the truth regarding your betrayal my parent's would have also forgiven you and my father would have given you a pardon himself, but since...since they're gone I must be the one to do so. You should know that it wasn't the bomb that killed them but being swallowed up by the desert thanks to Egokhan, Ben didn't believe my death which is what allowed him to find me. Ali has a way of allowing you to retain your will power when you go back to Egokhan if you're willing"
"I am willing, what must I do?"
"You have to drink a potion that will not only allow you to not fall under Egokhan's control again but also remember whatever you do around him, but it will take 24 hours to go into full effect which means you'll have to figure out an excuse as to why you were with us for so long"
"I am already having excuse ready for being gone so long. I escape you but as businessman and Prime Minister I have to run job and country so I don't go to demon every day"
"That should work"
And so after Ali finishes preparing the gig Snarchkoff drinks it
"And now we wait da?"
"Yes"
"By the way I was trying to get Ben to work as window washer for some reason but that didn't happen"
"I didn't believe Farhat was dead so I decided to look for him, and I was right"
"How did reunion go and happen anyways?"
"Well I knew that they were last flying over the forbidden desert so I decided to start there and while I was shocked by Ali after I reunited with Farhat I trusted him soon enough"
"And I trusted Ben due to him passing through the anti-evil barrier"
"I started to eat Ben's fritters which is how he lured me to him in the first place and mentioning it was just like home, and then realizing just as suddenly that it would never be like home again due to mother and father being gone, but I couldn't let myself grieve and still can't actually"
"After some training we went to Zenam's tower for the map and then went to England because he can't read the language"
"I managed to translate it for them though and then made sure to join the group, but insisted on saying goodbye to daddy first, and well I think you know the story from there"
"Indeed I do, but I want to hear more of your side of story since I already know my side"
And so the group tells Snarchkoff about their adventures up to that point from their point of view with Farhat also working on getting Snarchkoff to be informal with all of them since due to the fact that he was now free from Egokhan's control his formality with Farhat had returned ten fold. During that time though Snarchkoff also finally manged to do the one thing Ben and Tilda, though mostly Ben, had both failed in doing so the entire time, actually start the grieving process for his parents. And then 24 hours after taking Ali's potion returns to Egokhan's labyrinth and immediately has to act like nothing has changed because when he reaches Egokhan's lair he sees the King and Queen being held prisoner and has to hope that he gets a chance to talk to them in private which happens surprisingly fast
"My King, my Queen it is relief to see you alive, Prince Farhat will also be wanting to know this news"
"Snarchkoff, you can see us?"
"Demon is no longer controlling me, I will do what I can to comfort you and help Prince Farhat take down demon, and will be telling Prince about your survival next time I see him"
"I see, that is good"
"After demon is defeated I am giving up Prime Minister in public and telling public what I have done"
"When you do I shall also tell the public that I give you a Royal pardon due to your actions not being your fault, either because you were under Egokhan's control or you were acting under orders as a double agent"
"Ah, by the way Prince accidentally give me illegal pardon already"
"Nay Snarchkoff, his pardon is not illegal for two reasons, the first is that he has given you the pardon under the belief that he is the King due to the death of me and my wife and thus is the only one with the authority to pardon you. The other reason is that should Dolunai and I not survive to see Egokhan defeated his pardon of you will stand, even if he has to make it public first through your own actions"
"I understand, but will be telling Prince good news still"
"Thank you Snarchkoff, by the way how is Farhat?"
"Finally beginning grieving process that is no longer needed, and doing very well otherwise in gathering Shariman much to earlier annoyance before being freed from demon Egokhan's control"
"That's good to hear, even if I wish he wasn't grieving a loss that isn't real"
And that's exactly what Snarchkoff did, though it took a few days, after Snarchkoff had discovered that the King and Queen were still alive he secretly arranged a meeting with the group to tell Farhat that he was still Prince of the kingdom instead of King though Snarchkoff would also have to tell Farhat that his parents were prisoners of Egokhan. When he met the group though he noticed that Farhat was upset and that Tilda wasn't happy either
"What is wrong with young Farhat?"
"I accidentally reminded him about the death of his parents by mentioning that talking to daddy isn't the same as being able to hug him"
"I see, however King and Queen not dead, simply being prisoner of demon Egokhan at moment"
When Farhat hears that he turns around in shock before speaking up
"They...they're truly alive?"
"Yes I am seeing them with own eyes and remembering as potion promised to be working"
"Oh that's simply wonderful news Farhat...and though I've already done so I apologize for what I said on the boat when your parents were believed to be gone"
"It's okay Tilda, I forgave you the instant you said it knowing that you were simply happy to be able to physically hug your father again"
"That's wonderful news Farhat, but I don't think you should try and free them"
"You're right Ben, while I hate the fact that they're prisoners of Egokhan, and have been this entire time I've believed them gone I can't risk the mission to free them, though if they call for me I'm going"
"I will be doing what I can to ease their time in captivity, but I am also having to obey demon and thus am not able to go easy in fight against you"
"I know Snarchkoff and I won't blame you for what you have to do to keep yourself safe from Egokhan"
And though it took six months and it wasn't easy, especially in allowing Snarchkoff chances to slow Egokhan down any, eventually Egokhan was defeated. During those six months Snarchkoff was stressed about his role as a double agent to keep Farhat alive, and had hated the fact that as part of his job he'd been forced to burn the tent with Farhat and the rest still inside so as to say he tried to kill Farhat for Egokhan's sake, and was relieved when he found out that the group was actually safe and still alive. Though before that event he secretly praised them for thinking of taking his form to sneak into his business building to free Tilda, who had willingly been taken captive knowing that Snarchkoff was simply doing it under Egokhan's orders and didn't want Snarchkoff to get into dangerous trouble with Egokhan. Taking Ben's cousins as prisoners hadn't been easy for him either knowing that Ben valued his cousins and would do anything to keep them safe, and there was no opportunity to let Farhat know about the situation Ben was dealing with and so he had to hope that the crystals that Ben had given him were fakes, which his hopes turned out to be answered through Ali which was a relief to Snarchkoff. After the cousins were safe Snarchkoff secretly apologized to Ben and his cousins not only by paying for the transportation back home for the cousins (if only because the sea faring cousin couldn't afford to take that much time off of his shipping business) but by also leaving food for all of them before they all headed their own ways again. Snarchkoff had also done as promised and though it wasn't much had eased the burden of captivity for the King and Queen in small ways, Egokhan's defeat though was both a relief and temporary sorrow for Snarchkoff due to the fact that he knew the laws of the kingdom as well as Farhat did due to his role as Prime Minister and seeing the King and Queen dead despite his best efforts meant that Farhat was now King despite actually being underage, thus requiring the necessity of a regent, which Snarchkoff believed would either be Ben or someone else since Farhat knew that Snarchkoff was resigning from his position as Prime Minister as soon as possible. Farhat though would temporarily surprise him before he would feel joy again
"I am sorry for loss young Prince, I try and protect King and Queen but failed"
"It's...it's not your fault Snarchkoff, I want you to go into the city and announce that my parents remains have finally been retrieved and that I am actually alive and will take up my
father's throne once I am of legal age, but until then you stand as my regent"
"How am I explaining remains look fresh?"
"Tell them the truth as much as possible without revealing Egokhan's role"
"I understand, but am not sure I will make good regent"
"I trust you Snarchkoff, and as Prime Minister you have the qualifications needed to be my regent, now go"
"Right, will be going..."
Due to the fact that Snarchkoff was facing Farhat and had a good view point of the remains of his former King and Queen and suddenly saw them stir making him pause in what he is saying to Farhat
"Snarchkoff?"
"I am seeing and yet not believing own eyes, turn around young Prince!"
Farhat turns around in time to see his parents stand up
"M...mother?...father?"
Farhat's parents look up and only have to say Farhat's name to have Farhat run to them and hug them in relief. A few days later (it took that long for things to settle down in the kingdom at the reveal that the royal family was alive and well, though all agreed to keep how they had survived for so long vague) as he'd promised Snarchkoff publicly resigned from his role as Prime Minister and revealed what he had done, including trying to kill the royal family, however as he had promised the King swiftly gave Snarchkoff a public pardon and revealed that everything Snarchkoff had done for the past two and a half years had either been done under the control of Egokhan or while he was acting as a double agent. However fighting Egokhan for control over his mind for over a decade and then two and a half years under the demon's control cost Snarchkoff his health and unfortunately Ali couldn't really do much to help except ease the symptoms when they started about three years after Egokhan was defeated. When they initially started it seemed like it was a mild cold and a touch of arthritis due to the weight he had carried for so long, even if he'd lost it since being freed from Egokhan's control and no longer Prime Minister, and age and Ali offered to help Snarchkoff with the symptoms though he warned that it wouldn't cure the cold, just make the symptoms lighter and allow Snarchkoff to continue in his capacity not only as a businessman but as an advisor to the king, for while the king respected Snarchkoff's decision to no longer be Prime Minister he was still part of the king's inner circle as a business advisor. But the group would realize that this wasn't a simple cold and touch of arthritis due to the fact that Snarchkoff didn't get any better after almost two weeks of Ali's potions, though he wasn't nearly as bad off as he would have been otherwise, and it was actually Tilda who commented on it first since she had moved to the kingdom about a year after Egokhan's defeat and she and Farhat were currently planning their wedding
"Snarchkoff are you sure you're alright? I mean, you don't look like you've gotten any better since Ali started giving you those potions"
"I am fine Tilda, just tired"
"Snarchkoff..."
"I will visit doctor if no improvement soon, I promise"
Snarchkoff would collapse in a meeting only hours later being forced to go to the hospital where it was discovered that his immune system was compromised, it would be another three months though before they discovered just how truly bad it was with Snarchkoff being given the news first and then the rest of the royal family due to Snarchkoff insisting to the doctor to come with him to tell the royal family the news and on the way to the throne room Snarchkoff made sure that Ben was told to come to the throne room immediately and if Tilda wasn't already there to make sure she was also fetched
"What's going on Snarchkoff? I gave you the day off for your doctor's appointment and now suddenly your doctor is here and said that you insisted on him helping you with something, combine that with the fact that Ben and Tilda are here and I gather that the test results have finally come back"
"They have your majesty and I'm afraid it's not good news, Mr. Snarchkoff is dying"
"What?"
"Is true your majesty, between fighting mind control and then being under control of demon Egokhan has weakened health to point that I have almost no immune system to speak of, and because of that..."
"Because of how his immune system was compromised by this Egokhan he managed to catch a cold that developed into pneumonia" (sighs) "I'm afraid though that isn't the worst of it, the cold also weakened his heart dangerously, to the point that if he suffers a major heart attack he won't survive"
"Surely there's something you can do about it"
"Normally yes, I would have him on the organ transplant waiting list today and some where's in the higher part of the list, that is, with a normal patient I would do so, and he's a favorable candidate under normal circumstances due to the fact that he's lost a lot of weight since resigning as Prime Minister and doesn't have any other habits that would keep him from the list"
"Then what is stopping you?"
"Me your majesty, I don't want new heart, I am fine with dying due to condition"
"Snarchkoff..."
"No young Prince, do not convince me otherwise, I should have died during fight with Egokhan if I am honest with myself, that I survive this long is a miracle. This is also atonement for what I did under his control"
"I pardoned you Snarchkoff knowing full well that you were not yourself when you tried to kill us"
"Your majesty, while you have become like family to me I have other family I miss even more, perhaps I see mother and father when I die, and then there is fact that I am tired, I have fought for freedom for so long and now that I have it I relish it, including choice to die if it comes down to it"
"Very well Snarchkoff, however if there is any way we can ease your symptoms and make your passing less painful then I will do all within my power to make it so"
"Now that I know what's wrong I can create a gig that will help, it won't stop the progress of the disease killing him, but it will slow it down and lessen his symptoms, maybe even allow him to survive at least one major heart attack or stroke"
"I thank you Ali, and you too your majesty for understanding my choice, now I must retire to room due to being exhausted, I stayed up too late looking over documents for company last night"
After Snarchkoff left Tilda and Farhat would also head to Farhat's room and discuss their impending marriage to each other
