What you are reading right now is an older version of a different fic under the same name — Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Double-Edged. This version was deleted and rebooted August 22nd, 2020, due to a strong dissatisfaction with the direction and quality of the story at the time. If you are interested in following the ongoing fic, you will be able to find it if you click on the Double-Edged Team's account name. Double-Edged Classic does contain spoilers for the current version of Double-Edged, so read this at your own discretion.

We decided to bring this version of the story back onto the web as a proper archival of our old chapters, for the sake of internet preservation. We also wanted to use the existence of Double-Edged Classic to highlight our growth as writers, allowing our earlier work to contrast with our later work.

For those who are already familiar with either version of the story, Double-Edged Classic is meant to indulge in the full breadth of this iteration's history. Along with the story as it was when we decided to reboot, readers will also find cut scenes and chapters, annotated for clarity, as well as unreleased content!
