Day 16: December 16th

The following morning, Sharon woke up early, pulled Andy's gift out of her nightstand drawer, and stealthily slipped out of bed and into the kitchen while Andy was still sleeping.

Next, since she was up early, she figured she might as well get in the shower and get ready for the day ahead.

They were still trying to solve their latest case and the search for their murder suspect continued.

Meanwhile, about fifteen minutes later, Andy rolled over and found Sharon's side of the bed empty.

He figured she must be in the shower, so he got up and went to the kitchen to grab coffee for both of them.

However, when he got there, Andy found what looked like an envelope wrapped in blue wrapping paper.

His own impatient nature got the best of him and he couldn't wait any longer to open the small envelope to see what was inside and began unwrapping it.

"You're like a kid on Christmas morning," Sharon told Andy as she walked to the kitchen in her pink kimono type robe that barely grazed the skin above her knee from the spot she'd been standing at near the hallway.

"You're not wrong," Andy told Sharon as he pulled her towards him for a kiss that lasted a good minute or two before they broke apart for air.

"Well, you've already halfway opened it. Might as well open it all the way," Sharon told him.

"I wanna open something else up right now," Andy told her huskily as he whispered that in her ear.

"Yeah?" teased Sharon.

"Mmhmm," said Andy as his hands grazed her thighs and lifted her up and onto the counter.

Sharon opened her legs up so Andy could stand between them.

Andy began passionately kissing her lips and for a minute, Sharon indulged him before she broke the kiss and said, "You know we're in a common area and not the bedroom, right?"

"It's not like the kid hasn't caught us doing worse," replied Andy as his hand slid up Sharon's thigh and under her robe.

"True," replied Sharon as Andy sunk down and kissed from her ankle up until his lips met the bottom of the robe and she pulled his face up to meet hers.

"I was just getting to the good part," Andy told her.

"I know. Open your gift up first though. Then, I promise you can have your way with me. In the bedroom," Sharon warned.

"Alright," replied Andy as he grabbed the gift off the counter and ripped open the rest of the wrapping paper.

"When he got all the wrapping paper off, he found an envelope with the Dodgers logo on it.

"Is this what I think it is?" asked Andy gratefully.

"Open it and look at the date," Sharon told him.

Andy opened up the envelope and found two dugout seat tickets to the Dodgers game on July 4th of the following year.

"Really?" asked Andy.

"Mmhmm. You can take me or Provenza," said Sharon.

Andy set the tickets on the counter and looked Sharon in the eye and said, "I choose you. That old dinosaur can grumble all he wants about it. July 4th is our night. Or at least it was supposed to be."

"A do over?" asked Sharon.

"Yeah. A do over," replied Andy as he picked up and flung Sharon over his shoulder and started carrying her towards the bedroom.

"Andy. Put me down. You're gonna reinjure yourself," Sharon told him as she playfully swatted his back.

"Come on, Sharon. You're as light as a feather," Andy told her as he carried her into the bedroom and set her down on the edge of the bed.

"As much as that was a good answer, it's not true. Remember when you got impatient and carried me to your bed at your house in Valencia?" Sharon reminded him.

"I remember that day very well actually," said Andy with a shit eating grin.

Sharon swatted his arm and said, "Not that part. The part where you strained your back."

"Totally worth it" Andy told Sharon as he went to stand between her legs and kissed her lips fervidly.

Sharon fell back onto the bed and took Andy with her.

The argument and case were totally forgotten, knowing that they had more than enough time for a quickie.
