Chapter 1 - A Divine Intervention

Palutena, perched atop the celestial realm, observed the fabric of the universe with growing concern. The delicate balance of space and time seemed to tremble uncontrollably, sending ripples across dimensions. She called forth her faithful servant, Pit.

"Pit," Palutena asked, "Where are you?"

Arriving opportunely at Palutena's Temple, Pit found Palutena deep in critical thought. "Lady Palutena, what do you need?" Pit asked with a profound sense of urgency in his voice.

"Something's wrong," Palutena said, "I can feel it." Pit had a puzzled look as Palutena said, "Someone or something is breaking apart the space-time continuum."

"Really?" Pit said, shocked. "Wait, how do you know that?"

"It's my all-seeing Eye of Palutena!" Palutena said. Palutena then used her telepathic communication to talk to Viridi. "Viridi, an issue involves all the gods, and you're kinda the only one I talk to on a daily basis. I need you and make sure to bring Dark Pit."

"An issue?" Viridi questioned, "What kind of issue?"

"It's a little hard to explain…" Palutena sighed.

Moments later, Viridi, along with Dark Pit arrived outside of Palutena's Temple. "What could POSSIBLY be so bad, that Pit can't just take care of it?" Viridi asked.

"Well, this puts the whole universe, scratch that, MULTIVERSE at stake," Palutena said.

"Nothing Pittoo and I can't take care of!" Pit cheered.

"If the whole multiverse wasn't at risk," Dark Pit hissed, "I'd brutally kill you."

"Well, if that's what you desperately want," Pit proposed, "then why not have a little fight right now!" Pit readied his Palutena Bow as he split it between both hands.

"Pit," Palutena commanded, "We don't have time for this."

"Oh sure we do!" Viridi reassured. She pointed her staff towards Palutena as she said, "Dark Pit would ruthlessly destroy Pit anyways."

"Oh, really?" Palutena mocked.

"I'll put it on GodTube to prove it!" Viridi said.

"Can we just quit the talking and fight already?" Dark Pit asked, annoyed. Palutena started the cameras as Pit and Dark Pit readied themselves for the fight.

"In the left corner, we have my officer, Dark Pit!" Viridi shouted.

"And in the right corner, we have my commanding officer, Pit!" Palutena shouted. "We have a glorious fight for you all on GodTube, two fierce rivals go at it once again!"

"Lady Palutena," Pit asked, "Do I get any guidance?"

"Well, since I'm a commentator, I can't give you any tips," Palutena replied bluntly, "Besides, you've fiercely fought Dark Pit before. This should be easy peasy lemon squeezy!"

Dark Pit put on a wry smile as he rushed straight toward Pit. Pit blocked with his bow and retaliated with an upward kick. Dark Pit shot three arrows out of the Silver Bow as Pit ran to evade them. Pit jumped up but barely reached Dark Pit with a kick, so then he launched an arrow to try and catch Dark Pit. Dark Pit came down and struck Pit with a devastating dive kick. As they landed on the battlefield, Dark Pit tried to slash Pit, but he rolled out of the way. Dark Pit then dashed at Pit, striking him with his Electroshock Arm.

"So we're using our Arms now?" Pit acknowledged as he took out his Upperdash Arm.

"Not like there were any rules against it!" Dark Pit yelled as he launched a charged shot from his Electroshock Arm.

Pit reflected it by dashing into it, striking Dark Pit right in his jaw. As Dark Pit was reeling back, he tried to strike back, but Pit blocked it. They took turns striking each other with their Arms, occasionally blocking. Pit then dashes at Dark Pit, knocking him away.

Dark Pit pulls out his staff and starts charging it up. "It's over for you, Pit!" Dark Pit yelled. Pit pulls up his Guardian Orbitars. As Dark Pit fires his blast from his staff, Pit blocks it with his Orbitars, but it slowly starts breaking the Orbitars.

Before Pit could be pierced by Dark Pit's staff, a random stream of shadowy nullifies the beam, as a shadowy rift appears above them.

"Woah," Viridi said, "What's this?"

"I think this is the multiverse problem I was talking about," Palutena replied.

Just then, Bowser landed between Pit and Dark Pit and roared. "Sorry to crash the party, but it's SHOWTIME!"

"What's Bowser doing here?" Pit exclaimed, taken aback by the sudden appearance of their unexpected visitor.

Before anything else happened, Bowser lunged forward with startling speed. His movements were fluid, almost bizarre for the usually cumbersome figure he had.

The clash was fierce, but it was apparent that Bowser's strength surpassed the two of them. Blow after blow landed, sending shockwaves through the arena. Dark Pit's wings were clipped mid-flight, and Pit found himself struggling to keep up with the overwhelming force.

"Pit! Hang on!" Palutena's voice echoed, but before she could intervene, Bowser incapacitated both Pit and Dark Pit. Their bodies lay motionless on the divine floor.

With a sinister smirk, Bowser grabbed the dazed Dark Pit and vanished into a swirling vortex, leaving Pit helpless and disoriented. Before that, Bowser instantly knocked Pit out of the arena, into another rift, disappearing from the scene.

As the rift closed behind him, Palutena's worried expression lingered on the fading rift, her mind fraught with grave concern for her courageous warrior.

Pit groaned, pushing himself up, only to realize he was in an odd place, unlike anything he'd seen before. The vast clouds and beaming lights of Skyworld were replaced by rolling hills and familiar brick structures.

"You were not kidding when you mentioned 'problem'," Viridi sarcastically said.

"Viridi, now's not the time," Palutena rebuked, "Not only is my most capable warrior potentially in trouble, but YOUR most capable warrior could also be in trouble too."

"Yeah, I know," Viridi lamented, "You think the other gods will help?"

"Hopefully…" Palutena sighed wearily.
