NAME: Saint Oum

DESCRIPTION: A man in his early 30s, dark hair and eyes. Wears a dark-red suit with a greed hat with a white bell on the end.
LEVEL: Reality
INFORMATION: Anomaly 1224 aka Saint Oum is never to be contained or sought out and destroyed by Arc Corp in any way or form whatsoever. In the event that Saint Oum is in danger and needs assistance, any Arc Corp Office is to drop whatever they may be doing and provide assistance to him in every way and form.
In the event that a Class-B End of Word Scenario involving Saint Oum is about to commence, said office is to contact all offices across Remnant.
Said offices are to drop what they are doing and provide help in the form of "Operation: Saint Oum's Sled".
Operation: Saint Oum's Sled is a covert operation where all offices of Arc Corp are to provide security and transportation of Saint Oum to the northernmost region of Remnant prior to midnight on December 24th.
Failure will result in a Class-B End of World Scenario going into effect under the alias, "Silent Nights"where every member of the human and Faunus race become more negative and aggressive overtime. This Class-B Event will continue to be in effect till the 24th of December of next year when Saint Oum redoes the cycle.
Class A results in an Anomaly directly threatening to destroy everyone and everything.
Class B results in entities affected by the Anomalies effects threatening others.
Saint Oum is an immortal avatar of good will capable of gathering up the good will of humanity over the course of each year and gifting it back to the world as hope during the darkest time of winter. He does this by being present at acts of good will and heroism and absorbing only a small amount of it into himself. Over the course of the year, starting on December 26th till midnight on December 24th the following year.
When December 24th is at hand, he makes his way to the northern portion of Remnant. Once he reaches said location, he levitates into the sky and releases all the pent-up good will and acts of heroism as Hope which bathes everyone across the world, recharging everyone on the planet. In that moment, for a single second, he is everywhere across the globe witnessing and, in some instances, assisting in acts of heroism.
Saint Oum has been described as a good-natured man who sees the best in people, whether they be human, Faunus or anomalous and tries to convince them to be better versions of themselves. He never holds grudges, even with members of Arc Corp or the Schnee Dust Company.
Saint Oum is one of the VERY FEW anomalies that can affect others, breaking the Rule of Anomalies, where one anomaly can't affect another.
Listed below is the list of abilities that he has displayed.
Positivity Absorption: Capable of channeling all of the good will produced all across Remnant over the course of a year, absorb it, and release it as hope, continuing an age-long cycle.
Minor Omniscience/ Empathy: When encountering someone, whether he be first meeting with them or known for a long time, knows who they are along with their past, and has the ability to understand who they are and what drives them to be who they are now.
Immortality: Saint Oum cannot die or be harmed by any conventional means by mortal man, Faunus or anomalous means, save one. That one being Anomaly 4221 aka The First Blade (see file pertaining to said anomaly). In the event that Saint Oum comes into contact with said anomaly, it will be catastrophic.
It has been theorized that he even has the ability to transfer his abilities and even his duty to another person temporarily. However, even Coral Arc of Arc Corps Secrets Office is not willing to test that theory out.
HISTORY: Have you ever wondered as the holidays get closer and closer that both humans and Faunus get grouchier and crankier?
That is because they are running low on good will. Saint Oum is the one responsible for replenishing said good will by absorbing small amounts of good will, positivity and heroism as the year goes by, then releasing it at midnight on the 24th of December, recharging them. All of that energy getting released into the world lasts till the end of December 25th. The cycle then repeats on the 26th.
In the event that he fails to reach his destination whether he be prevented by doing so or injured or influenced by Anomaly 4221 aka The First Blade; the amount of positivity he absorbed over the year will dissipate within him, forcing him to do the cycle again.
The second he fails, a Class-B End of the World Scenario under the alia, "Silent Nights", goes into effect. The effect being every single person; whether they be human, Faunus, anomaly and the employees within Arc Corp will become more grouchy and cantankerous to the point that the slightest insignificant event, like someone not making a new pot of coffee after finishing the old one, will result in an all-out argument, which will turn into a brawl which would evolve into fights, disagreements over the most simple of things, which would then break out into riots and with the potential to start an all-out war.
Only one time this has happened nearly 92 years ago, which helped pave the way to what would eventually became known as The Great War.
Saint Oum was prevented by an employee of Arc Corp named Alexander Arc of a Mistral Office from going northward. By preventing Saint Oum from releasing the positivity he stored for that year, it dissipated within him. The result made itself known in Nachty Bottom; a town bordering between the Kingdom of Vale and Mistral.
At an office Saint Oum's Party in the town of Nachty Bottom, someone didn't make a fresh pot of coffee, which turned into an argument about who would make a new one, which snowballed into a brawl that spilled into the streets. This resulted in disputes in jurisdiction when all were apprehended, which turned into a bigger brawl. When this reached the Councils of both Kingdoms, it snowballed into a much bigger argument, then into a shouting match.
Seeing the damage already been done, the rest of Arc Corp sought to assist Saint Oum in traveling the globe to help him absorb the goodwill and other positivity amongst the population. When he released it again the following year, all seemed well. Unfortunately, that single year of negativity caused damage that couldn't be undone by anomalous means, even by Arc Corp standards. Numerous towns were destroyed by instances of Anomaly 003 aka Brother's Grimm and simmering hatred and callousness in politicians soon added one of several sparks that started what today people know as The Great War.
To prevent something like this from ever happening again, Arc Corp implemented Operation: Saint Oum's Sled to provide assistance to him whenever he encounters a member of Arc Corp.
Designated a Reality Class Anomaly as a mythical figure who delivers presents on the eve of December 24th for good boys and girls, while delivering coal to naughty ones.
