Trailer M
"A hospital should be the most safest place a person could be, however for the people who work there, they already know that it was never the case. The doctors and the nurses, they adore you so. But it's really quite alarming 'cause they are a bunch of awful fucks... I guess I should take it as a sign. Should I stay or should I go?"
Vacuo, A faron wasted land with bearly any resources that can help the people. The blazing sun gets most of the civilians, if not that then it's always the people or the Grimm. Being raised here you then to ignore most of what others do. Unless it's a Grimm attack, then we all work together to eliminate the threat. That's the only time I've seen people work together.
Then there are people like us. Who tends to those who can't. In my years of helping the hospital of Vacuo. I've seen it all, from bullet injuries, cuts, missing limbs, Grimm bites, Poison, Heat stroke, and Death. So much death. I just grew numb to it. But there was one thrill that always got me.
"Nurse Songrey! Where is that pint!" A doctor screams at his assistant.
"Right here Doctor. We are running low on B negative, by the way." The Nurse said as she entered the room and handed the pint to the doctor.
The doctor takes it from the nurse and looks back at his patient, quickly helping him before they lose him. As he finishes applying the pint he turns back to his assistant and looks at her. A young girl with straight black hair that goes up to her mid back with short bangs framing her forehead and red eyes. She was wearing an apron that was covered in blood and gloves as well. She looked tired, but if you knew her that was just how she normally looked.
"You look tired?" The doctor said to her.
"Oh, you know me, that's just my face." The girl said in a monotone voice as she began to walk out of the room and back to were she was needed.
"Where are you going now?"
"To check inventory. As I said before, we are low on B-negative blood. So I want to know how many pints we have left before you start using the others..." As the nurse began to leave the doctor looked back at his patient and left to follow after the nurse.
"Marian wait!" Following right behind the nurse, the doctor began to speak. "Is it true that you gave your resignation?" The doctor asked as he continued to follow his nurse.
"Oh doctor Luis, you know me. Always keeping you people on their feet. But if you really must know." Marian said as she entered the room and the doctor also followed right behind her. A pond entering he sees almost all of the bags of Blood all over the place. A natural sight for the people who worked there, but for any other people this place was a mess. Looking at the nurse he saw her take a seat on a chair and begin to organize each pint to their respective place.
"Have you heard the rumors about me, doctor?" Marian said as she continued to work.
"The rumors? Marian what have I told you about listening to those disgusting rumors they do not know-"
"The children are starting to call me 'that name'. I can deal with the adults calling me that, but the children are where I draw a line... I mean I can't do anything about them, the best I can do is give them some sleeping medicine. And put them in a bed with a blanket over them. But other than that I can't do anything to hurt the kids." As Marian finishes she turns to the doctor. While he only sees her hair covering her face and blood dripping from her eyes.
"Marian, deactivate your semblance." Doctor Luis said to his nurse as he grabbed a towel and handed it to her.
"Thank you." Marian begins to wipe the blood dripping from her eyes and looks at it. "I'm sure this hospital will find someone else. It will be difficult at first but people do need more doctors and nurses."
"I'm sure we will, but we won't have someone like you, Marian. That semblance of yours does come in handy when we really need it."
"Please if this was the only reason you people kept me around here I would have been fine just wandering around this farant wasteland."
"You know we see you more than just that Marian... What will you do next?"
"Don't know. For the most part, I'll travel a bit and see where I am needed. I always have a way with people. Even though I tend to be a pain at first."
"I believe a good vacation can do you justice. I feel like I always see you here. Almost like you live here."
"Well, people tend to call my name a lot here. Almost like I haunt this place." Marian joked at this, gaining a laugh from the doctor.
"I'm sure you will know what you want to do in your life. You do like to help others. You are still young, you have your whole life ahead of you. Anyone would be lucky to have you around and-"
"Doctor, I've just turned seventeen."
"Really? When?"
"Today."
"What!? And they called you in?"
Marian shrugs at him "They needed me, so I came in. Honestly, it's better this way, I really didn't have many plans today. Just stay home and hope no one bothers me, but oh well." As Marian walked towards the exit, the doctor just stopped her in her tracks.
"Get the day Marian, you done enough today." He said in a kind demeanor towards the girl.
"I haven't really, and to be frank here. I really don't have much going on."
"Maybe, meet more people, hang with friends, what about that monkey boy that keeps getting himself hurt? He seems... Nice?" Marian simply rolled her eyes at the man and walked passed him.
"He is a nice person... But he is not what I'm looking for in a friend." With that, the young girl walked toward the next patient who needed help. "Also, his blood is not the same as mine."
'So he is not useful at all to me.'
