Universe 2 (April 2010 cont)

They arrived back in their suite mid afternoon to get ready for the reunion. Booth used the en suite to take his shower first. He dressed in his white shirt and trousers while still in the bedroom and walked into the sitting room where Temperance was on the laptop checking her email. He told her the bedroom and bathroom were all hers and that he would finish dressing and head down to the lobby to wait for her. He pulled her into an embrace and kissed her soundly. He spoke into her ear. "When you take the elevator down, get off at the mezzanine and come down the grand staircase." She pulled back and looked at him quizzically. He shrugged. "It's a special night. I want you to make a special entrance." She laughed and gave him a little slap on the shoulder as she left to walk into the bedroom. But she was secretly thrilled at the idea. In her entire dating life, she had never had the opportunity to make a grand entrance when greeting her date. She was just beginning to understand how much of a romantic this man was.

Booth arrived in the lobby to arrange the taxi to take them to the school. He was wearing his nicest black suit and a purple satin tie. Before leaving on the trip, he had asked Temperance the color of her dress, and he went out and purchased a new tie that he hoped would match. He went to the concierge and requested the taxi, and asked for the phone number of the taxi service so he could program it into his speed dial for the ride back. He walked over to stand at the base of the grand staircase to await his date. When she appeared at the top of the stairs, she took his breath away. She was wearing a low cut purple satin dress that cinched at the waist, with a full skirt that ended just below her knees. He didn't know how it was possible, but it was the exact same color as the tie he had chosen. Her hair was pulled up on top of her head with little wisps of curls cascading down around her beautiful long neck. He caught a glimpse of diamond drop earrings sparkling on either side of her face. She smiled down at him and twirled once so the skirt floated around her. She then began to descend the staircase, holding his gaze the entire way. When she reached him, he took her hand and kissed it. "You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." She blushed as he released her hand and crooked his elbow toward her. "Our chariot awaits." She laughed and took his arm to walk toward the exit, thinking about the parallel when they walked to the coffee shop the day they first met.

They settled into the back of the taxi for the ten minute ride to the school and she told him how touched she was that he had matched his tie to her dress. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. "You are going to knock them dead tonight, not only with what you've done with your life, but…" He put both hands out indicating her whole essence. "This. You. You look like a movie star." She playfully slapped his hand down. "Oh, shush. You are wildly exaggerating." Before he could protest, she leaned into him and whispered. "But I do have a surprise for you. Under the dress." His eyes got as big as saucers. She laughed again and shook her head. "I purchased some new lingerie just for you." He got a big, shit eating grin on his face. "Really? Just for me? Can I get a little preview?" She pulled one side of the neckline of her dress over just enough for him to get a glimpse of gorgeous lilac lace. Booth gulped. "You're killing me here Temperance." She had a smug smile. "Patience Booth. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Didn't you tell me that last night? Well, I'm going to make it worth your while." Booth closed his eyes and wondered how he was ever going to get through this evening.

The reunion turned out to be a fun evening for both of them. They started out by touring the school and Temperance pointed out all of her favorite places, talked about favorite teachers, and even found a couple of the hiding places where she used to study. When she walked in the gym on his arm, she did blow them all away. Her dress was gorgeous, but classy, and understated in a way that many others in the room were not. Most of the women in the room swooned over her date, and that was before they found out he was an FBI Agent, which made him even more desirable. And then when they talked with her one on one, they were envious of her accomplishments. No one was surprised that she became a forensic anthropologist, but no one expected she would have three doctorates. And many had heard about her books, but even though "Temperance Brennan" is an unusual name, they had never made the connection. And with Booth's help, she navigated the conversations with grace and humility, something that wasn't natural to her, so that her former classmates came away pleased with her success instead of resentful. And most of them wished they had gotten to know her better all those years ago.

They sat at a table and had dinner with some of the people she had been looking forward to seeing and Booth was an active participant in all of the conversations. No one at the table would have ever guessed that they had only met two weeks prior. And they all saw the obvious attraction from both sides. The dancing had been going on for awhile, but when a slow dance started, Booth stood up and took her hand. "Let's dance." She eagerly accepted. She had been waiting hours for the opportunity to be wrapped up in those strong arms. The first two songs found him holding her closely, his right arm around her back and left hand holding hers intimately against his chest. To her delight, he began singing some of the lyrics into her ear. Then the music changed to Seal's "Kiss from a Rose". Temperance pulled her head back to look at him and said, "This was my favorite song in high school." He pulled her back against him and held her even tighter than before.

Suddenly, a few bars into the song, a whole field of shiny metal stars hanging from strings dropped from the ceiling to just above the dancers' heads. Everyone "oohed" and "aahed". Booth saw tears in her eyes as she looked up at the stars, and she told him it was just like the prom that she never got to go to. Booth smiled at her, let out a big sigh, and pulled back into his arms even tighter than before, this time with both arms around her lower back. She threw her arms around his neck and burrowed her face into his shoulder. A minute or so later she realized that he was becoming erect, and she wanted to encourage him further, so she pulled her arms down under the back of his suit coat, grabbed his ass with both hands and pulled his groin more tightly against her. Booth groaned into her ear. They continued to sway to the music and forgot where they were, or that there were any other people in the room. All they were feeling was the music and each other. And he was growing harder and harder. Other couples on the floor smiled at the out-of-towners who appeared to be a couple very much in love.

Temperance, keeping up the pressure to maintain the closeness of their bodies, reached up to whisper in his ear. "You know, the moment I met you, I recognized that you moved with the confidence of a well endowed man. I've just discovered that my theory was correct." She then licked his ear and lightly bit his earlobe. He groaned again and she felt him grow just a little more. She chuckled and whispered again. "Mmmmm. I can't wait to feel you inside me." Booth stumbled slightly and his head fell onto her shoulder. "Oh God Temperance. You're killing me." She started to turn them toward the door, still whispering. "Then let's get out of here."

They danced each other over to the door so he wouldn't have to separate from her and suffer some embarrassment, and as soon as they were in the hall, he pulled out his cell phone and called the taxi company. They held hands and bumped shoulders all the way down the hall until they found themselves outside and sat on a bench waiting for the cab. They shared a couple of hungry kisses, but then she asked if it was impolite that she didn't stop to say goodbye to some of her classmates. Booth shook his head. "Nah. You just pulled an Irish Goodbye." Her eyes narrowed. "I don't know what that means." He chuckled, put his arm around her and pulled her close. "It a term for people who leave parties and just slip out without saying goodbye, just as we just did. It's a very acceptable practice. And since I believe both Keenan and Brennan are Irish names, you are allowed." She wrinkled her nose. "Did you make that up?" He shook his head. "Never."

Just then, the taxi pulled up and they quickly got inside. They didn't notice much of the ten minute drive to the hotel because their lips only parted a few times as they came up for air. The taxi driver kept glancing in the rear view mirror chuckling to himself that the couple in his cab were worse than teenagers. When they arrived at the hotel, they ran together across the lobby, holding hands and laughing, as a couple of guests lounging there smiled and shook their heads. He hit the elevator call button, but before he could even take her in his arms, the elevator doors opened. They jumped in, he hit the button for their floor, and as the doors closed, he slammed her back against the side of the car and started devouring her. When they heard the "ding" for their floor, he pulled back, she gave him a dazzling smile, and they left the car, walking quickly to their room holding hands.

He managed to get his key card to work and opened the door. As soon as it closed, he pushed her up against the door and continued what he had started in the elevator, with his elbows against the door and his hands on either side of her face. After a few seconds, he dropped his arms, hooked them under her knees, and pulled her up higher against the door so that they were groin to groin with her open to him. He ground himself into her through their clothes, and she was able to feel all of him which made her gasp and then start to moan. The sounds coming from her were unraveling him and he started trying to figure out how to get her out of her dress. She put her hands on his shoulders, pushed slightly, and said in a soft voice, "As much as I would love a round of door sex, there is a really comfortable bed just a few feet away. Wouldn't it be nicer there for our first time?" He started to catch his breath and gave her a sheepish look. "You're right, of course." And then he smiled. "Rain check on the door?" She chuckled. "Door. Wall. Whatever. I'll hold you to that rain check."
