New World, Astera
Within the bustling settlement of Astera, Hunters and researchers could be seen occupying various hubs and such, from the cafe area to the supply venders, the entire settlement was abuzz with activity and discussions between various hunters and such. A few onlookers began to point up at an incoming flying contraption, causing quite a few passersby to look up and witness more incoming flying contraptions that seemed to be made out of various bamboo materials. There was even a blimp of sorts, all of which were all too small for an average human, but for a certain species of Felyne the flying contraptions were just the right size for use.
Most onlookers were aware of what band of Felyines were arriving at the new world settlement going by the insignia on the side of the blimp, while others were a bit out of the loop. Within the cafeteria area that was manned by several Palicoes, one hunter glanced over as he sat with his female partner. Said partner looked up from her book to see what her partner was looking at and smiled excitedly, "Oh! I was wondering if she'd join the fifth expedition." she pondered.
The female partner glanced back at her hunter partner, and noticed he was looking at her for more information. "Oh, right, you're new, so you probably aren't acquainted with the Palico Neko expedition." she began to explain whilst the blimp and various flying contraptions flew towards the shipwrecked boat that was situated at the highest point of the settlement, before the blimp hovered down and docked next to the boat whilst the other flying contraptions flew down and landed behind the boat out of view
The hunter's partner thumbed up at where the blimp docked to the shipwrecked boat, "The head honcho is a twin tailed Palico from the eastern lands of the old world, supposedly she's quite the competent leader of her merry band of Palicoes." she explained, before leaning forward to speak more clearly with her partner, "Rumor is, she and her band of Palicoes helped a hunter take down an enraged Deviljo!" she gushed in excitement.
The hunter nodded at her information, and began to ponder what sort of help this Palicoe was going to bring to the expedition within the new world.
Tan'nyya
Atop the wrecked ship that was docked by the blimp, from out of the vehicle part of the blimp with its ramp down, came several dozen Palicoes as they worked around the clock to set up shop aboard the shipwrecked boat granted to them and their illustrious leader by the commander of the settlement.; walking out on her hind legs was Tan'nyya as she held within her paws the manifesto log book of what they had on stock for supplies so far.
As Tan'nyya walked down the ramp and onto the boat that was situated high above the settlement, rushing out from the gondola came a frazzled brown haired Palico as she rushed to catch up with her superior. "Meowsta! I've found the rest of the documeowents!" the Felyne meowed out as she caught up with her leader and walked beside her.
Tan'nyya smiled in gratitude as she accepted the documents in her paws, "Ah, purrfect Vera." she said as both Palicoes walked beside each other passed the busy contingent of other Palicoes under Tan'nyya's command, and halted in her steps as well as Vera the next moments as Tan'nyya held out a piece of piece from out of her vest pocket, "See to it you hand this off to the moewerchants, we'll be nyaeeding a resupply soon." she ordered her subordinate.
Vera accepted the piece of paper, and gave her superior a crisp salute, "Right away meowsta!" she chimed back excitedly, before rushing off to do her duty. As Vera exited down the stairway leading to the lower decks and areas of Astera, the commander of the settlement and fifth expedition was soon seen making his up over the top of the stairs with a few other members of the expedition to meet the Neko Band leader.
Tan'nyya took quick notice and walked over to greet the commander, "Ah, you meowust be the commeowander, yes?" She inquired of the white haired man as she and the group of humans stood across from each other, with Tan'nyya having to look up due to her size.
One of the members that stood beside the commander, the field team leader, made a look of surprise, "you're quite articulate compared to most Palicoes." he noticed.
Tan'nyya glanced over at the man and allowed herself a prideful smirk, "It took some time, almeowost to the emeowergence of my second tail, but the value of commeowunication for a business is quite valuable in my opinyan." the yellow haired Palico remarked in response to the man's question.
The commander nodded in agreement, and gestured towards a table and chairs that was being set up by Tan'nyya's band of Palicoes, "I see you're already setting up shop, good, and I thank you for coming to the new world at my request on short notice." he said.
Tan'nyya smiled in response, "I couldn't very well ignyaore the chance to set up a business within the nyaew world, the prospects far outweigh the risks. Imeowagine all the ameownt of abundant resources we all can find within these nyaew lands!"
The commander nodded in agreement, and gestured for Tan'nyya to follow him to the table, "Come, we can discuss what's going on so far."
"With pleasurrre." Tan'nyya responded as she followed the commander and the other humans to sit down at the available table.
Tan'nyya
As the hustle and bustle of activity filled the entirety of the wrecked ship, now turned into an official headquarters for her Neko Paleco Guild, Tan'nyya could be found within the remodeled captain's room sitting at an appropriate sized desk for her use. With her twin tails poking out the backside of her chair and occasionally swishing back and forth, Tan'nyya was able to grasp a feathered pen to an almost capable degree in her efforts of writing into her reports and ledgers.
Leaning up and putting her pen down after finishing penning down a few things into various papers, Tan'nyya glanced with her amber eyes out her window of the captain's room, the windows were open to allow the fresh breeze to flow in as well as the morning sun to shine into her room with her needing to light a candle or two for light. 'The commeowander was very accommodating.' Tan'nyya mused to herself with a rather satisfied smile as she pushed herself away from her desk and hopped off her chair to stand on her hind legs.
Looking around to gaze once more at her personal office space, Tan'nyya nodded to herself and made way to head out and check on the progress of the renovation of the wrecked ship given to her and her Guild of Palicoes. As a younger Felyne, she would have cringed at her penchant tic of adding 'meow' and 'nya' to her words as she worked her best to speak in human tongue, but now she had accepted some parts of her speech pattern would end up including Nya and Meow wheher she liked it or not.
Grievances aside for her speech impediment, Tan'nyya walked herself out from her office and out onto the deck of her Guild's new base of operations; The Neko guild would provide whatever services they were able to, and more often than not, her fellow Paleco employees would be sent out to aid Hunters in distress or even rescue them. Other services involved gathering valuable resources, but the niche Palecoes were able to fill with such study bodies allowed them the capabilities of taking head on attacks from the hardiest of Wyvern beasts.
So suffice to say, Tan'nyya had made sure to invest her guild into figuring out all manner of ways in getting the hunters out of tricky or even dangerous situations.
As Tan'nyya walked outside aboard the deck of her Guild's new base, she was greeted with respect amongst her peers of fellow Palecoes as the passed by with supplies in their paws, each and every one of them were very capable of carrying out tasks to an excellent degree, something that Tan'nyya was glad to see.
Making way to the nearby lift, Tan'nyya waiting for a platform to arrive and allow her on to take the lift down and discuss a few matters with the head Paleco chef of the settlement. That, and she was sorely hungry after the long trip from the old world to the new world. "Moewsta!" Vera called out as said Paleco could be seen arriving on one of the lifts.
As Tan'nyya stepped onto the same lift as Vera, she greeted her Paleco assistant, "Ah, Vera, were you able acquire all the supplies from the list I gave you from the meowerchents?" she asked as a lift finally arrived, allowing both Palicoes to step aboard.
Vera smiled excitedly as she stood beside her boss and road the lift back down with her boss, the Paleco cat nodded a bit to her Felyne bos, "Almeowost all, Meowsta." she answered and pulled out the list from before from her vest pocket, "I wasn't able to get supplies for our meowcanos, but I was able to acquire just enyough supplies for our meowlatov cocktails." she purred out as the lift continued to take both palecos to the base level of the settlement.
As the lift finally reached the base level of the Astera settlement, both felynes stepped off of it and walked side by side with Tan'nyya's destination being the cafeteria area of the settlement; reaching into her hand bag, or in her case, pawbag that she carried on her back like a backpack, Tan'nyya pulled out a ledger with an attached pencil, "That's fine, we can always search the nyaew world for the supplies to restock our reserves." she said to her assistant Paleco.
While Tan'nyya held within her curled paw the pencil, she flipped open her ledger book and jotted down into it, before closing it back up and placed it under her arm to carry it with her in the open, she had more need for it and it wouldn't do to put it back in her pawbag when she'd need it soon.
Vera clapped her paws together in response, "Oh good, I was worried you'd be a bit cross that I wasn't able to get everything on the list." she remarked as the two felynes made their way up a set of stairs towards the Canteen, the smell of freshly cooked food wafted in the air, causing both Paleco's tails to swish back and forth a bit at the prospect of pilling their stomachs with something meaty and delicious.
Tan'nyya shook her head as they reach the Canteen area, and both paused in their walking for Tan'nyya to turn and face her Paleco Assistant, she gave Vera a simple smile as she gently placed her free paw on Vera's shoulder while her other arm held her ledger, "Trust me Vera, there'll be times like this, and all we can do is meowake do with what we have until we can ameowend the situation." she remarked before gesturing to the stone table that the Felyne head chef was working at with his own band of Paleco workers.
"Are you hungry?" Tan'nyya questioned her Paleco subordinate, "I have a few questions to take up with the head chef, and I'd like to eat something filling rather than the rations we had aboard our ride to the nyaew world.'' Both felynes grimaced a bit at the thought of having to eat the dry food that was available during the month-long trip to the new world.
Vera perked up in excitement, and clasped her paws, "Oh yes, Meowsta!" she purred in delight, "I could really go for some red juicy meat! Purr." Vera then couldn't help but close her eyes and purr at the tasty thought of digging her teeth into some succulent meat.
Tan'nyya nodded in agreement and gestured for Vera to follow her, "Very well then, let's see what's on the meowenu." she remarked as both soon approached the table.
