Koji Koda was quiet. He was very, very quiet. Even in his movements and how he acted.
He did not like drawing attention to himself, because that meant people stared at him and he didn't like that very much. Class 1-A was very nice to him, though. So was Class 1-B, aside from Monoma— But even Monoma was nice to him! Then again, he was also nice(r) to Midoriya than the rest of 1-A.. maybe he just didn't like the louder people. Koda could relate!
Today was one of the few days that the classes could all relax. Koda took this opportunity to immediately rush to the community gardens a little ways into the forest, finding himself talking to all sorts of critters- Whether they be birds in the trees or ants on the ground.
He found out that the family of Bulbuls had successful hatchlings and now five new chicks to take care of, so Koda managed to convince the other families nearby to help out until they had their own chicks. The Turtle doves were calm and quiet as they normally were, which was good, because it meant no predators had moved in. He listened to the repetitive pecking of the nearby woodpeckers and sighed at the peacefulness of the afternoon.
As per usual, he broke off some chunks of his bread and gave it to the ants, before they let him know someone was coming. Koda turned towards the figure, doing his best to convey his smile as he waved slowly at her.
"Hello, Koda," Shiozaki greeted as her hair came out of the ground, forming a table and chairs. Koda made sure to clear his chair or thorns, a process taking about a minute, before he sat down and set the bag of food he had onto the table. They took out the containers of noodles that Koda had prepared with the help of Sato, with Koda making sure to give Shiozaki a Strawberry, to which she smiled brightly.
"Koda! You shouldn't- Thank you."
She looked into the sky as Koda shook his head in satisfaction, before he began to eat some of his noodles. They spent the afternoon like that, Shiozaki asking him basic yes/no questions on how his week has been, to which Koda answered with soft nods and shakes of his head. After they were finished, Koda carefully packed the containers up and into the bag, before waving bye to Shiozaki as she began to tend to the plants around them.
He let the animals know that he was leaving, much to their disappointment. But they were also understanding. Another thing that Koda enjoyed.
As he was walking, he realized just how much he missed this. How much he missed being with Nature, and how much he missed the long conversations he had with his animals. But he also realized that just because he was here meant that he couldn't do that— He just had things he needed to do on his time off. Like studying. And pet his bunny.
Definitely pet his bunny.
"Hey, Koda! Did your meeting with Shiozaki-san go well?"
Koda nodded his head towards Midoriya as he nodded in return. He liked Midoriya. Midoriya was comfortable and warm, like his actual bunny, but human. Everyone (almost) was nice to him for a reason. And that was because he felt safe and honest.
"It.. went well."
"That's great!"
Koda smiled towards Midoriya.
"I think that Aizawa-Sensei is ordering pizza for us tonight. We made sure to remind him about your cheese pizza."
"Thank you.."
Midoriya gave him another nod as he got up from the floor. Koda's bunny hopped off his lap as he got up, and went back over to her bed.
"I have to go study, but I'll let you know when the pizza gets here, okay?"
"Okay.." Koda whispered. That seemed to be enough for Midoriya though, as he left Koda's room. Koda laid back on his bed, taking in a deep breath and letting his body relax.
His mind began to drift as Koda relaxed fully. Forgetting about the stresses of school, and life in general. Forgetting about the future. Focusing on the moment. And this moment was good. It was comfortable and warm.
Koda smiled as he began to doze off, and finally entered a light sleep.
