Katrina: Couldn't sleep?

(Bob turns to Katrina who's in her robe smiling at him lovingly)

Bob: I was about to but I wanted to finish this book.

(Katrina goes over to Bob then takes the book away)

Katrina: The book will still be here when you wake up. You've been running yourself ragged all day and me and the baby are lonely.

Bob: (Chuckles) Is that a fact?

(Katrina leans over, her belly pressed against Bob's back, then she pecks Bob on the top of the head)

Katrina: It's a fact.

(Bob feels the baby moving against him causing his tension to drain and sigh quietly then Bob looks over at Katrina)

Bob: How did you know I needed this?

Katrina: 'Cause I love you like crazy. How about we take this over to the couch?

Bob: Okay.

(Bob jumps off the chair then he and Katrina go into the living room then Katrina slowly sits down on the couch then Bob hops onto it then rests his head against Katrina's lap)

Katrina: You really did a great job on the nursery today.

(Bob smiles then frowns then stretches causing his back to crack then Bob looks back up at Katrina)

Bob: Might have strained a muscle putting up those curtains for the window.

(Katrina glides over her invisible over Bob's head then looks down at him)

Katrina: Need a massage?

Bob: I'm alright.

Katrina: Honey, you need to relax after doing all that.

(Bob looks up at Katrina smiling lovingly)

Bob: Sweetheart, being near you and our baby is what relaxes me.

(Katrina smiles then pecks Bob on the forehead)

Katrina: Me and the baby feel the same when you're around us.

(Bob nestles against Katrina's belly)

Bob: I saw a very interesting paper on Laura's school bulletin when I was picking her up.

Katrina: What?

Bob: An advertisement for a lamaze class.

Katrina: (Chuckles) Seriously? Those are still a thing?

Bob: I think it could work.

Katrina: Mirabelle said she'd opt to be my midwife.

Bob: Absolutely not.

Katrina: (Groans) Not this again.

Bob: (Sighs) Sweetie, I love Mirabelle like my own sister, I really do, but I want to be the only one at your side.

Katrina: I know that sugar but here I'm thinking that you'll faint first thing.

Bob: Which is why maybe this lamaze class will help me out with that.

Katrina: Okay, how about this? We'll go to one class and if I happen to like it, we'll keep doing it, but if I don't, we'll take Mirabelle up on that offer.

(Bob smirks)

Bob: You should've gotten a job as a negotiator.

(Katrina smiles then leans over then presses her nose against Bob's)

Katrina: So, that's what we'll do?

Bob: That's what we'll do.

Katrina: Thanks.

Bob: And thank you too.

(Katrina giggles then kisses Bob then sits back up then leans against the couch)

Bob: (To Katrina's belly, cooing) Hey in there. Guess where Mommy and Daddy are taking you next week. (Chuckles) That's right. It looks like you're going to school.

END OF SNIPPET 1

Nurse: Can I help you, sir?

Mr. Nezzer: (Panicked) My...my wife! Her...Her name's Esther Nezzer! She'd just been in an accident! Is she here?! Is she okay?!

Nurse: Let me check the computer.

Mr. Nezzer: (Angrily) SHE'S PREGNANT! CAN'T THAT THING GO FASTER?!

Nurse: Sir, take it easy. (Turns back to the computer) Oh, here, something's coming up.

Mr. Nezzer: (Hopeful) Is it my wife?

(The nurse turns to Mr. Nezzer smiling)

Nurse: It's her file.

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) Well, what does it say?

Nurse: They finished patching her up and she's currently in the ultrasound room to check up on the babies.

Mr. Nezzer: Thank you.

Nurse: No problem. Just take the elevator and it's the next floor up.

(Mr. Nezzer nods then hurries over to the elevator then moves inside it then presses the button)

Mr. Nezzer: (Quietly) Please, Lord. Please let them be okay.

END OF SNIPPET 2

Esther: Nebby?

(Mr. Nezzer's eyes widen and he gasps when he sees Esther sitting up on the exam table with large bruises and cuts on her face and large bandage on her cheek and a smaller one on her forehead)

Mr. Nezzer: Essie!

(Mr. Nezzer hurries over to Esther then kisses her softly then stares at her in concern)

Mr. Nezzer: Sweetheart, look at you.

Esther: I'm okay, Nebby.

Mr. Nezzer: No, you're not. You...you got hurt.

Esther: I know but it's not bad.

Mr. Nezzer: But...

Esther: Honey...

(Esther kisses Mr. Nezzer then presses her forehead against his and stares directly into his eyes)

Esther: I'm fine. I'm alive.

(Mr. Nezzer smiles then frowns then carefully hugs Esther)

Mr. Nezzer: I...I was so scared.

Esther: How did you find out?

Mr. Nezzer: Larry called and told me everything.

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther's forehead)

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) Are you sure you're alright? Do you need anything for pain?

Esther: I think you being here is all the remedy I need to make me feel completely better.

(Mr. Nezzer invisibly removes a strand of hair away from Esther's face)

Mr. Nezzer: In that case, I'm not leaving your side.

(Esther kisses Mr. Nezzer then Mr. Nezzer moves to kiss Esther's cheek then he looks down at Esther's belly then quickly looks back up at her)

Mr. Nezzer: (Panicked) Essie, the twins, our babies, are they...?

Esther: (Softly) Hey, hey.

(Esther presses her forehead to Mr. Nezzer's)

Esther: They're okay too.

Mr. Nezzer: (Concerned) They are?

Esther: I just had the ultrasound done. No problems. They're moving around as if nothing happened.

(Esther kisses Mr. Nezzer)

Esther: They're strong like their Daddy.

(Mr. Nezzer gently rubs his nose against Esther's)

Mr. Nezzer: No. Like their Mommy.

(Mr. Nezzer looks down at Esther's belly then gently kisses it then leans against it)

Mr. Nezzer: (To Esther's belly, cooing) Daddy's here, babies. My beautiful little twins. Your Mommy's right, you're definitely kicking. Daddy's so happy you and your Mommy are safe.

(Esther leans over then pecks Mr. Nezzer on the forehead while he remains at her belly)

Mr. Nezzer: (Sadly) I must be the most horrible husband and father ever.

(Esther frowns)

Esther: What do you mean?

(Mr. Nezzer sighs then kisses Esther's belly twice then he sits beside her on the exam table then Esther leans against him, her belly nestled between them, then she turns to Mr. Nezzer who's looking down)

Mr. Nezzer: (Sadly) It was my fault. I should have stood up to Mama right then, I shouldn't had gone to that interview. If I didn't, I could have stopped everything.

Esther: Nebby.

(Mr. Nezzer turns to Esther)

Esther: (Sighs) It's my fault too. When she bossed me around to do chores for her, I should have told her 'no'...but I didn't. When she told me to drive myself to the hospital...again, I should've said 'no' but I chose not to. You see? We're both to blame.

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther's forehead)

Mr. Nezzer: Don't say it's your fault, sweetheart. It's not. It could never be your fault.

Esther: But it's really not yours either. Mama Nezzer tricked you. She did tell us she'd start treating me better.

Mr. Nezzer: I should've known she was up to something. But instead, I thought for that one moment that she wanted to try to be nice.

Esther: I fell for it too, Nebby.

(Mr. Nezzer kisses Esther then leans against her shoulder)

Mr. Nezzer: And now look what she nearly done to you...(looks down at Esther's belly) to our babies.

Esther: Let's just be happy that we made it through.

(Mr. Nezzer smiles then kisses Esther's un-bandaged cheek)

Mr. Nezzer: I'm very happy about that.

(Esther leans her head against Mr. Nezzer's, closing her eyes in content, then they hear a 'ping' sound then Mr. Nezzer takes out his cellphone then they see a text message from Mama Nezzer)

Mr. Nezzer: (Bitterly) Huh. She's wanting to know what happened.

Esther: What are you gonna say?

Mr. Nezzer: Nothing. I'm doing what I should've done the moment she moved in. If I really want to show Mama who's more important, I'm starting right now.

(Mr. Nezzer deletes Mama Nezzer's message then deletes her name from his contact list)
