Many Skylanders were gathered around at Spyro's bed-which was moved to the Academy for the means of watching over him. Spyro laid unconscious while Hugo looked over him thoroughly.

Eon: "Will he be alright, Hugo?"-asked Eon, worried

Hugo: "Well by the looks of it he took a horrible blow to the head and it looks like some energy was taken out of him."-said Hugo, worriedly-"However I'd say he'll be alright with some rest."

Chop Chop: "Well that's a relief."-said Chop Chop, relieved-"But if no one else is gonna acknowledge the elephant in the room...why did you bring him back here?"

Chop Chop indicated Dark Spyro who was effectively chained in the other room. His wing was put in a cast and his wrist put in chains. He let out a roar of fury and anger.

Eruptor: "He's here because he's important."-said Eruptor, irritated-"If we're gonna stop Kaos we need answers from him."

Chop Chop: "That makes sense."-said Chop Chop, defeated

They all quickly turned around and saw Cynder place her paw on Spyro's head. A single tear ran down her cheek as she stroked his head.

Cynder: "Don't worry, Spyro, we're here."

Intro: Harmony

Glumshanks walked into the hydra's room holding four turkey legs in his arms. The hydra gave him a death glare and looked right at him. Glumshanks became nervous and walked towards the four-headed dragon.

Glumshanks: "Nice hydra."-said Glumshanks, nervously-"I've got your food."

The hydra snapped all jaws at him and caused the troll to jump. Glumshanks threw the turkey legs and ran away, each turkey peg landing in one of the hydra's mouths. As the dragon ate Glumshanks ran and stopped in the hallway of the castle as the drawbridge opened. Kaos came floating into the castle with the powerful crystal in hand.

Glumshanks: "Master, back do soon?"

Kaos: "Yes indeed, Glummy."-said Kaos, excited-"And guess what... I found the ultimate power!"

Glumshanks: "Oh good for you, sir."-said Glumshanks before noticing something was off-"Um sir, where's Spyro?"

Kaos: "Him? I left him to be crushed by falling debris."-said Kaos, half heartedly-"He would have double crossed me so I doubled crossed him, now he and ten Skylanders are history."

Glumshanks: "Oh, well not what I would have gone with but well done."-said Glumshanks, nervously

Kaos: "Come! I have a power to achieve!"-Kaos announced, proudly-"Also did you feed the hydra?"

Glumshanks: "Yes, sir."

The Skylanders were gathered around the chained Dark Spyro. The dragon panted and gave them the death glare. They had been interrogating him for several hours but to no avail.

Stealth Elf: "Let's try this again, what will Kaos do with the power?"-asked Stealth Elf, furiously

Stealth Elf moved her face to stare Dark Spyro in the eyes but the evil dragon only snapped at her and caused her to flinch.

Dark Spyro: "Fools! I will never tell you ANYTHING!"-said Dark Spyro, laughing-"My only question is why any of you saved me, if you had let me die in that temple you wouldn't be in danger."

Eruptor: "You're chained and have a broken wing."-Eruptor taunted-"I'd hardly call you a threat now."

Cynder meanwhile had not left Spyro's side since he had been in his coma. She ran her paw around his and got up on the bed with him. She cuddled against him while lightly crying into his shoulder.

Spyro found himself in an environment that looked like the sky with gray clouds but no sign of rain. He looked around until he once again saw himself in the legendary form and Dark Spyro waiting across from each other to battle. The two then charged to each other and battled each other once again. Spyro simply stood there starting in disbelief.

Spyro: "What does this mean?"-asked Spyro, annoyed-"What does this mean!?"

Spyro heard a scream and looked behind him, his eyes widening at what he saw.

The crystal that contained the power rested on a table in Kaos' magic chamber. Kaos waited at the room and began channeling his power. He then began channeling the purple lightning bolts into the crystal and caused it to fly up into the air. The crystal, however, did not even break and dropped back down, angering Kaos.

Kaos: "Gah! This is impossible!"-said Kaos, angry-"Okay, time for some more drastic measures."

Kaos took up a large hammer and began smashing it against the crystal to try and open it. When this failed he sent his lightning bolts at it again. He finally tried slamming it against the wall but this did not work. Kaos threw the crystal to the ground in anger. His head then projected an image of the markings on the wall of the temple and showed how to open the crystal.

Kaos: "Oh yeah I forgot all about those."-said Kaos, embarrassed-"Well I guess it's time to finally get this thing open."

Kaos approached the crystal and picked it back up from the ground. He then readied for the unlocking of the power within it.

Dark Spyro continued his heavy breathing as Buzz smacked him across the face. Buzz had taken the place of interrogation and yet had gotten nothing out of the dragon.

Buzz: "Once again...Where. Is. Kaos?"-Buzz interrogated

Dark Spyro: "Oh I'm not telling you!"-said Dark Spyro, furious-"Keep me chained you'll never..."

Buzz smacked Dark Spyro's face again and narrowed his eye.

Buzz: "Stick to the question, filth bag!"-said Buzz, furious-"Where is he going with the power!?"

The other Skylanders meanwhile stayed with Spyro as he had not woken up, frankly it seemed he had the power and will draining from his body. Sprocket used a small remote to scan Spyro but was not happy with the results.

Sprocket: "It's no good, he's not getting any better."-said Speocket fearfully-He may not even wake up."

Terrafin responded to this by placing a hand on his heart and closing his eyes.

Terrafin: "He was a true hero, and a true friend."-said Terrafin, respectfully-"May he forever rest in the halls of..."

Terrafin was cut off by Prism Break smacking him in the chest.

Prism Break: "He's not dead, Terra!"-said Prism Break, irritated

Terrafin: "He might as well be."

Cynder cried into Spyro's shoulder more as she laid with him.

Cynder: "Spyro, please wake up."-said Cynder, tearfully-"Please..."

Spyro was zooming to where he heard the scream and when he arrived he saw a small goblin-like creature crying on an island. He looked and saw his legendary self taking hold of Dark Spyro and throwing him to the ground. When Spyro noticed Dark Spyro about to land on the small creature he dove down and grabbed it, pulling the wailing creature into his arms and slowly rocking it.

Spyro: "Shh shh."-Spyro hushed-"It's okay."

Spyro looked up and once again saw Dark Spyro punch Legendary Spyro in the stomach. Legendary Spyro then flew and breathed a jet of golden flames that collided with Dark Spyro's purple ones. It then caused an explosion that sent Dark Spyro flying into the island. Legendary Spyro readied to send a blast of golden flames at the dark dragon before Spyro put down the child and flew to where he was in front of Dark Spyro. Legendary Spyro then stopped just hovered in front of Spyro. The whole world around them seemed to fade and only left Spyro in a blank white landscape with Legendary Spyro.

Legendary: "Tell me, Spyro, why do you go out of your way to save a foe?"-asked Legendary Spyro, seriously-"Why after what he has done to you, do you risk your life for him?"

That question hit Spyro like a hammer to a nail of all things. He thought that he had saved Dark Spyro in the temple and now an illusion.

Spyro: "I did it because I'd be worse than him otherwise."-Spyro admitted-"He may be evil, but I could just leave him."

Legendary: "Even after what he's done?"

Spyro: "Yes! It was the right thing to do."-said Spyro, firmly-"I know he may come back and never stop, but I won't just let him die like that."

Legendary Spyro remained there for a moment, appearing assertive. He then softened his expression held out his paw as if to shake Spyro's paw.

Legendary: "Very good, you have proven you are indeed an honorable hero, Spyro. You are worthy to wield the legendary powers."-said Legendary Spyro, pleased-"But be weary, you may only use this power once. So use it wisely."

Spyro then nodded and firmly grasped Legendary Spyro's hand. The whole room began to spiral and Legendary Spyro nodded before fading into mist. Spyro watched as the Spiral soon engulfed him too.

Spyro began to cough as he slowly wake up. As soon as he woke up he saw the other Skylanders exchanging looks and gasps. Cynder then pulled him close to her and kiss him which he did so back before separating.

Eruptor: "Your okay, Spyro!"-said Eruptor, happy

Pop Fizz: "Oh yeah! He's back!"

That was enough for Dark Spyro to finally take notice of his presence. Dark Spyro growled and purple sparks emitted from his horns. The lighting struck his shackles and completely shattered them. He then breathed a purple fireball that knocked many of the Skylanders aside as they dodged it.

Dark Spyro: "So your back, Spyro."-said Dark Spyro, menacingly-"Well it's time to finally get my revenge!"

Dark Spyro tan up at Spyro and tackled him, causing the two to tumble over the side of the railing. The two landed on a nearby island beneath the Academy and collected themselves.

Spyro: "Are you freaking insane?"-asked Spyro, furiously-"I just woke up from a coma and you have a broken wing!"

Dark Spyro: "I don't need to fly to destroy you!"-Dark Spyro stated-"Now let's finish this once and for all!"

Dark Spyro breathed a fireball at Spyro who dodged it and used an aerial maneuver that swooped down and rammed into his opponent. Dark Spyro then sent his lightning into Spyro and held him over the edge and went him off towards the void. Dark Spyro laughed until Spyro flew back up to the island.

Spyro: "I can still fly, remember?"-Spyro taunted

Dark Spyro growled and sent a fireball towards Spyro who sent his own fireball that collided with it. Dark Spyro held up a paw that began glowing purple. Stealth Elf's helicopter then came down and nearly collided with Spyro before he grabbed it's tail and threw it towards the sky.

Dark Spyro: "This ends now!"

Dark Spyro sent a jet of purple flames towards Spyro who countered it with his own fire. Their blasts then began forming a powerful surge that blasted the two of the island. Spyro managed to regain balance and use his wings to fly and save himself, Dark Spyro only fell, however, due to his broken wing and current inability to fly. Spyro noticed this and the Legendary self's words rang in his mind. He then dove down towards Dark Spyro and grabbed him by his arms. He then flew insto the front yard of the Academy and dropped Dark Spyro just before doing a clumsy landing. The two got up and Dark Spyro glared at him furiously.

Dark Spyro: "I have had enough of this!"-said Dark Spyro, furiously-"Why did you save me!?"

Spyro: "For the same reason I saved you in that temple: if I had left you there to die, I would be no better than you."-Spyro explained-"You may be evil and we may be enemies, but saving you was just the right thing."

Dark Spyro suddenly no longer seemed angry and only looked behind him. Suddenly Kaboom and Snapshot came and grabbed hold of Dark Spyro.

Snapshot: "Great work, Skylanders."-said Snapshot, gratefully-"Now it's off to CloudCracker Prison for this one."

The two then began walking Dark Spyro away from the Academy. The evil dragon then whipped his head around to look at Spyro.

Dark Spyro: "Wait!"

The Trap Masters stopped and allowed Dark Spyro to turn towards Spyro while still restraining him.

Dark Spyro: "Kaos is going to use the power to destroy the Core of Light, I would have done it but he left me to die so I won't let him have the satisfaction."-Dark Spyro, explained-"You may have no chance of stopping him if he's already unlocked the power but if you can, make sure beat him up good for me."

As Dark Spyro finished Kaboom and Snapshot took him and dragged him off with them. Spyro suddenly felt worried that Kaos could destroy the Core of Light. He then only knew what he must do now.

An altar had been drawn on the floor of the castle with the crystal laying in the center. Kaos then walked up to the alter and began using his powers.

Kaos: "There we go, that should be enough."-said Kaos, evilly-"Now let's get down to business."

Kaos began speaking an incantation and the crystal began to rise. The chalk glowed purple and the power began transferring to Kaos. At the end of the incantation the altar stopped glowing and the crystal fell to the floor and shattered. Kaos now stood there, his skin purple and his eyes green. He laughed evilly at his new powerful form.

Kaos: "I've done it! I can feel the power coursing through me!"-said Kaos, excited-"Glumshanks! Set course for the Citadel! It's time to finally destroy the Core of Light."

The castle began moving in the direction of the Citadel of Skylands. Kaos laughed evilly as lighting sparked at his fingertips. He could only imagine what the full power would bring to him.
