TWs: another person missing, dejected Bing, feelings of anger, and more anger. Stay safe :)

"Here's the basis of it," Tord started as he pulled the whiteboard closer to the table.

"Uh, Tord," Matt spoke, raising his hand as if it would do anything to get the leader's attention.

"Not now, Matt, big plans are happening right now..." Tord got out a pointer stick, stretching it out as he pointed it at the whiteboard with disorganized scribbles, "Now, this is the plan-"

"Question," Clay raised his hand, "Does this plan have a name?"

Tord huffed, turning to the younger, "Not every plan needs to have a name, Clay."

"It could be Objective: Stop Doomsday or Plan Doom." Clay continued, gesturing wildly with his hands.

"Fine, I'll name it Plan Doom. Anyway, as I was saying," Tord pointed at the first square on the whiteboard, "We know Arthur and Larry are trapped in the dungeon of Buckingham Palace. Matt, do you happen to know where the entrance is?"

"Behind the King's throne, there should be a hidden door," Matt replied, then averted his gaze, frowning, "But Tord-"

"Eh, I'll just send you and Tom there. Tom, you'll break them out; Matt will keep a lookout." The Norsk wrote it on the board, "And then You, Yan, and Pat will go to the lab where Katya is. Pat will plant a few listening devices there and hopefully mess with their systems with this device."

Tord placed a square object on the table. It was the size of one of Ringo's cat toys.

The curious catbie peered at it from the lap of Tom, placing her front paws on the table as she tried to see what it was.

"This device can short-circuit anything within a few feet." Tord placed his hands on his hips, "It even works on drones."

"Did you already test it?" Pat asked.

"Uh... took out a whole block with it." Tord scratched the back of his neck sheepishly as he turned back to the board, "And that leaves Clay and Kim."

The leader glanced at Clay and then cast his eyes over to where Kim usually stood by the end of the table. He frowned as he didn't see her, his eyes scanning the room for the blonde.

"Uh, where's Kim?" Tord asked.

"That's what I've been trying to tell you." Matt spoke, "She's not here."

"What? Where could she have gone?"

There were murmurs of confoundment throughout the room as Tord rubbed a hand over his face.

"Ugh, never mind. I'll just go look for her myself." Tord dropped his pointer stick, "Go over the plan while I'm gone. Pat's in charge!"

The Norsk promptly left the room.

"Aw, why is Pat always in charge?" Clay crossed his arms, slumping over in his seat.

'Where could she be?' Tord huffed as he opened the door to the mess hall. Not there either. He had already checked the maintenance room and the security room. He was already starting to get antsy. It was normal for Kim to be late to meetings, but flat-out missing? It had Tord worried that something else was going on.

'Unless...?' Tord came to a halt at the end of the hallway, his index finger and thumb held against his chin in thought, 'Could she...?'

It was possible. Kim did sometimes go against what Tord told her.

"Tord!" A voice called from behind, "Got a minute?"

Tord hummed, glancing at the slim brunette with emerald eyes, "What is it, Bing?"

"Do you have anything I can do?" He asked, grinning.

"As in...?"

"You know, for the plan!"

Tord made a face, nearly grimacing as he averted his gaze, "Right, plan... well, you're not in the plan."

The leader felt bad for saying it straight up, but he knew he would never get another chance to tell him.

"What? Why not?" Bing crossed his arms, frowning.

"Listen, you've been through a lot recently, you're still recovering-"

"I'm perfectly fine!" Bing exasperated.

"Mhm, and have you eaten dinner?" Tord raised an eyebrow.

"I-It's-" Bing stuttered, "It's still technically dinnertime."

"If you count 2100 as a time to have dinner..." Tord muttered.

Bing huffed, "At least one role, maybe backup? Or maybe distraction?"

"I already have those roles filled, Bing." The younger rolled his eyes, "Right now, you need to rest."

The caramel brunette walked away, leaving the director alone to his thoughts.

"Right." Bing scoffed, kicking at the floor as he turned on his heel and walked into the mess hall. He wasn't surprised that he wasn't allowed in on their plan. It wasn't worth trying to change Tord's mind.

He scoured the cabinets for something to eat. He wasn't that hungry, so he decided to grab a bagel. He contemplated whether to eat it plain or not.

'I wonder if Pat still has some leftover hummus...' The director thought, going to the fridge. He knew Pat wouldn't mind as he often left food out for the others to enjoy. Taking out the container, he dipped half the bagel in the hummus and decided to eat it like that.

Taking a bite and holding the bagel in his mouth, he took a paper towel, wrapping the other half up, 'I should check on Primis.'

Hellucard's fist tightened as he looked at the screen, his gears turning as his wires nearly fried if not for the refrigerant keeping him cool. His teeth ground together, making a noise similar to nails on a chalkboard.

"DOCTOR!" His voice echoed throughout the halls of the lab.

Katya looked at Edd, bewilderment evident on her face. The taller raised a finger to his lips, smirking slyly.

The door burst open as Dr. John entered the room out of breath, "Y-Yes, Your Majesty?"

"Explain." Hellucard gritted through bared teeth as he gestured to the screen.

The doctor hesitated as he took a step closer, reading the words on the screen.

'Dear Ma-'

'Oh- oh no...' Reading the first line made his stomach drop. Reading the rest of the message made his heart stop. It felt like an eternity of silence before he heard Hellucard speak.

"Why didn't you tell me you had a son, Doctor?" Hellucard gave him a skewed smile.

"You n-never asked," John spoke, avoiding the King's gaze.

"I'm pretty sure I did at one point..." Hellucard tapped the side of his head, "You made me have an excellent memory; it's much better than the old Hellucard."

"R-Right... much, much better." John gave a tight smile, "I don't remember sending you this-"

"Then who did?" Hellucard waved his arms, "A ghost? Give me a break, Doctor!"

John glanced behind him, seeing Katya and Edd by the doorway. He noticed the blonde shuffling towards the door. Edd, on the other hand, looked to be glaring at him.

"Uh..." John avoided everyone's gazes, "Well, why would I send it to you if it was me? That doesn't seem smart."

"Not every scientist is smart." Hellucard remarked, "You're the definition of a dense scientist."

The doctor looked at the King in shock. Every fiber in his being shook with anger, sadness, and grief. He had tried and tried to make his leaders happy, only to fail time and time again.

His body tensed up as he pointed to where Edd and Katya stood, "They're the ones you should be questioning! The blonde isn't under the mind spell whatsoever!"

Hellucard peered over at the wall he was pointing at, "There's no one there."

"Wha-" John whipped around, seeing no one near the door. The King's communicator buzzed while the scientist was still in confoundment.

Hellucard sighed, annoyed at the message on his phone, "We'll talk about this later. Joe and Chester need help at the palace. Something about rampaging monkeys."

John watched as Hellucard left.

A fire burned inside him, writhing in pain and bitterness. So this is what it's like...

Now he knows how his son felt.
