Chapter One

I stood by the window in Vince's office looking toward the outside at the tall building and the light blue sky with morning sky. I stood in this same spot five years ago, looking out the same window to see the same buildings and same sky. Only I was excited and new to this world. I was young and dumb too. Now I stand here in the same spot only difference this time around is I'm not excited. I'm just numb and cold.

Suddenly, the office door comes gently open, and I turn around to see Vince in one his nice expensive suits, his hair silk back, and a cup of hot coffee in his hand. His legs swiftly moved to go behind his huge desk and sit down his in-office chair.

"Good morning, Miss Ellis." Vince said with a smile on his face before out the edge of the coffee mug to his lips to take a slip.

"Good Morning . Please call me Lily." I said moving over to one of the chairs in front of desk.

"Well Lily, your contract is needing to be renewed and I thought we could over it and a few other things." He said sitting down his cup and pulling out a black portfolio from one of the desk drawers.

"Of course, Mr. McMahon."

"First order of business is the contract, we left everything almost the same, we just added three weeks of vacation, and up to 10 days off a month." He said putting the contract in front of me.

"Thank you for the added vacation and days off."

"Make sure to use them this year. I don't you to get burned out and then it becomes a bigger issue than we need it to be."

I could only nod because my mind didn't have anything to say besides I'm sorry and I think he has heard enough of that. I signed my name to all the papers and slide the contract back to him. He placed the contract back into his portfolio and leaned back in his chair.

"The last few things to discuss. This year we hired more booking agents for the road and that way if someone goes on vacation then we have other agents to cover the superstars while the agent is one vacation. I know that you served on the Raw brand for five years and you did wonderful. I already have about 30 superstars wanting to have you on their team just from the Raw Brand. But this year, I would like to switch up my agents and place the agents on the Raw brand over to the Smackdown brand to help get the agents comfortable with either brand. Smackdown list is not as high as the Raw brand. You have three that wanted to be under you. Matt Hardy, Torrie Wilson, and Dave Batista. I would like to mention that agents will need to start traveling this year to insure better timing on books, better communication with superstars, and can be more available to help with any booking issue, vacation time, or hotel/flight issues that may arise while on the road." He said leaning his arms on his desk now. The room became quiet and when I looked his brown eyes, I caught a glimpse of hope and reassurance.

"When can I start?" I said smiling a little.

"Lily, I know the last superstar and you have had some issues in the past, but I think this is a chance to move past and be able to stop having issues." He said softly.

"I agree, when would you like for me to start?" I said with a smile I think is more convincing this time.

"Great, I'm glad we are both on the same page here. Amanda, has a computer, backpack with supplies, and a folder of your next flight information and hotel information." Vince said standing up.

I nodded as I stood up and shook his hand. I walked out of the office as calm as I could be. My heart was pounding at the thought of having to be under Dave again. Maybe this will work, maybe we can just be civil toward each other and I can go back to the Raw brand soon.

"Here you are Miss. Ellis." A sweet soft voice said to me, bringing me out of thoughts to the secretary desk. When I finally looked at who was talking, I saw a pretty young brunette looked to be right out of high age. Her hazel eyes flickered between blue and green while her smile was warm and comforting to anyone she came in contact with.

"Thank you." I said taking the backpack and placing it on my shoulder, before grabbing the black portfolio in my other hand. I smiled, before walking down the hall toward the elevators. My curiosity got the best of me, and I opened the portfolio. My first flight information was for Houston Texas, my flight is scheduled for 9:30am tomorrow morning, but before I could see where I was staying, I bumped straight into someone.

I wobbled back a bit but regained my balance and then looked up to see who I bumped into. My eyes almost grew larger in shock to see who is in front of me. My heart pounding, my palms growing with sweat, and my grip on my portfolio became harder. Dizziness washed over me, and I almost wanted to just fall down right now, but I can't.

"Hello Lily, what a nice surprise this is to see you." Dave said in one of his nice new expensive suits and sunglasses covering his sweet brown eyes.

Tell me what you think!
