In the eyes of B-Komachi

Hikigaya is a jerk. He'll point out all of your flaws in front of everyone and just say, "Fix it," or "Do better," as if it'll do anything. Who the hell does he think he is? Just because that guy happens to be close to Ai, President Saitou brought him in as a consultant? That's a load of crap.

Hell, Nino could probably pinpoint the exact moment that she started to detest Hikigaya's existence.

"Ninomiya! I didn't realize you don't know the difference between your right foot and left. Maybe you were born with two left feet and can't tell the difference? A medical marvel. That'd explain why you're off so badly on the counts!"

"Shut up Hikigaya, nobody asked you."

"Ninomiya, this is basic choreography. How are you an idol again?"

Nino walked up and poked HIkigaya in the chest, "That's a lot of talk for someone who's just a 'Consultant.' I'd like to see you try and do this."

"Oh sure. Would you also like me to massage your feet? Maybe I should take your place on B-Komachi too!" Hikigaya deadpanned.

"I see a lotta lip moving but not a lotta feet. If you can't do it just say so and-"

"Are you gonna fire me? Please do it. I'm literally begging you."

"Hah! Like I'd give you anything you want!"

Hikigaya sighed in disappointment, "If you can't even do that, then why should I even listen to you?"

"Isn't that my line?"

Hikigaya raised an eyebrow, "So if I can do the choreo, you'll stop being a pain in the ass and listen?"

Nino crossed her arms, "If. You can do that, I'll listen to what you have to say." Little did she know how those words would damn her.

Hikigaya gave an awful, disgusting, predatory smile, "Okay."

"Ninomiya, glaring at me doesn't change the fact that I was able to perform the choreo and you can't."

Nino clicked her tongue, "Whatever, it's not like you'll have a lot to say."

"Who knows, now that you're actually listening, maybe you'll find that I'm trying to help you."

"Just because you won a stupid bet doesn't mean I'll just do whatever you say."

Hikigaya's entire body froze in place. His disgusting fish eyes narrowed, "I didn't say anything like that, if you blindly follow whatever someone says- then you're a dumbass." He stepped closer to Nino, his taller frame towered hers. "When I talk- you listen. Understood?"

"...Is anyone else a little turned on by that?"

"..."

"..."

"Lowkey, it was kinda hot… Especially with those bedroom eyes."

"Gawd, I wish that was me."

"... Ari-san, Kyun-san," the tension in Hikigaya's voice bled through the air, "Kindly keep such thoughts to yourselves. Or at least stop acting like bitches in heat in front of everyone."

Ari shivered in anticipation, "So it's okay if it's in private? If we're together one-on-one and-"

Nino ignored the elder member's rambling and caught Hikigaya's own dismayed mutterings, "What the hell is wrong with these girls? Are idols just people that can't be normal?"

At least Nino and Hikigaya could agree on that.

"That's enough playing around- get back to work!"

"Hikigaya, let's have another bet!"

"Denied." Hmph, that coward.

"Why not? Afraid to lose?"

"Wrong," Hikigaya's cockiness- sheer smugness bled through, "I already have everything I need from you. There's nothing you could give me that I'd want."

"I'll pay for dinner."

"What's the bet?"

Nino's own devilish grin consumed her face.

Nino growled, as she watched Hikigaya slurp from his to-go bowl of ramen. He smacked his lips and let loose a sigh, "That was delicious. Free food is the best." His gaze landed on Nino's face, "What's with that look? Did you really think that you'd really win after just a few days of practice?" He scoffed, "You'll need to try harder than that."

A small spark, a mere ember of a greater fire that Nino thought she lost was reignited. Competition, a reason to spite someone- both are good motivators.

Motivators weren't enough. Nino knew in order to defeat the monstrous Hikigaya she would need all the help she could get. From Ta-chan, from Wata-chan.

From Ai.

"I will beat you, Hikigaya."

"Good, that means I'm doing my job." Hmph, cocky bastard.

Ha-kun is a super nice guy! Sure he looks gloomy all the time but his eyes are cute just like Pan-san's! Ai-chan also likes him, and she doesn't like anyone. So that means that he has to be a double good guy!

"Oi, Watanbe. Get over here."

"Okay~" Watane skipped over, "Whatcha need Ha-kun?"

Ha-kun grunted, "Ai and Ninomiya are having trouble with the choreo you and Takamine set today. Stay after and keep helping them practice like usual."

Nino shot a glare at Ha-kun, "I heard that!"

Ha-kun grunted, "Good, then I don't need to repeat myself. Stay after until you get it right." His voice drops to a whisper, "Make sure that when you practice, rotate so that everyone gets to center except Ai."

"Hmm~ Okay!"

Ha-kun rustled Watane's hair with a small smile, "Keep up the good work."

From across the Ai-chan called out, "That's not fair Hachi-senpai!"

"What the hell are you doing Ai-san? I'm amazed you keep goofing off even when you're messing up so badly. Truly, the top idol in the company."

"Eh~ but Hachi-senpai aren't you playing around too? You're spending so much time as the only guy surrounded by a group of pretty girls. Isn't this a dream come true for you?"

Ha-kun blinked, "What part of any of this sounds like a dream come true?"

"Hoh~ Could it be that Hachi-senpai bats for the other-"

"Hell no."

Ai-chan pressed up against Ha-kun, "So my feminine wiles broke you down?"

"Ai-san, I've always only thought about it, but it must be stated out loud. You're an idiot."

Ai-chan gave an impish grin, "But you didn't say I was wrong~"

"You're 10 years too young to truly have an effect on me!"

"Hachi-senpai, you're only a year older than me!"

"I am a refined man," Ha-kun huffed. "A cool and mature beauty like Miyako-san is more my type." He shooed away Ai-chan, " Now- stop holding up practice and focus."

"Fine, fine~"

Watane giggled, it's so nice to see Ai-chan getting along so well with Ha-kun!

"Whacha still doing here, Ha-chan?"

Ha-chan typed away on a laptop, "Watanabe?"

"Wata-chan," Watane corrected.

"Watanabe, I'm just finishing the last of the documents Miyako-san sent. How was the practice?"

"We just ended! It was so good to be able to just be with the four of us again!"

"I see."

"Nnn! It went really well!" Watane smiled, "Ai-chan and Nini were super motivated today!"

"Oh, they were?" Ha-chan stretched his arms into the air, "I'm glad to hear that."

"You know Nini is going to challenge you again tomorrow~"

"Is she ready, yet?"

"Not yet, but she's really close!"

Ha-chan shut the laptop and stood up, "Looks like I have to practice a little more then."

"I'll help Ha-chan!"

"You don't need to, I can do it on my own."

"I don't need to, but I want to. You're doing your best to help us, let me help!" Watane pouted.

Ha-chan sighed, "Do what you want. Just don't complain to me that you're too tired tomorrow."

As Ha-chan left the room, Watane called out, "Ha-chan!"

He froze, turning his head to meet hers, "Wha-"

Watane's arms encircled his body into a warm embrace, "Thank you for all your hard work Ha-chan!" Ha-chan stiffened. "Don't bother breaking out, you said to do what I want!"

Ha-chan relaxed into the hug, "Moments like these make me forget you're the eldest one of you four." Watane pinched him, "Ow!"

"Ha-chan is a meanie!"

Ha-chan is cute when he's embarrassed!

Omake (Canon)

"Miyako-san, here are the reports and documents that you asked for."

"Thank you very much Hikigaya-kun. I must say, you are quite brazen to use my first name so freely."

"Sorry, it's not for a lack of respect for you Miyako-san. Rather, I'd hate to say that man's name."

Miyako sighed, "I understand Hikigaya-kun- he is quite flaky."

"Tell me about it, you do more work for the company than he does."

"Hikigaya-kun don't sell yourself short, you've been more than helpful during your time here. It's nice to have a man around that will actually get work done."

"And you are quite a mature, hardworking beauty. How did a man like that end up with a catch like you, Miyako-san?"

"Aren't you a charmer? He did promise to introduce me to younger, good looking men. I suppose you qualify, Hikigaya-kun," She teased.

"If you'd like, he did give me his credit card for dinner. How about I treat you and we go someplace nice for dinner, Miyako-san?"

"You do know that I'm the one in charge of the finances, right?"

"Consider it a business expense. A write off, even."

"You really dislike my husband, don't you?"

"Guilty as charged."

"Well it has been a while since I've been on a date. Maybe I can teach you a thing or two on charming women, let's go Hikigaya-kun."

"Please, call me Hachiman."

IRL A/N (Excuses)

Uh long time no see? Sorry for the late updates, just gonna give y'all a quick rundown of irl stuff.

I'm a professional actor/voice over artist now, ish. I'm also a singer, so all I need to do is learn how to dance and I can be an idol! (Not Really)

Right now I'm working two jobs, I landed that audition months ago, which turned into a show 6 nights a week for 4 hours, which directly cut into my writing time. My daily schedule would usually look like wake up 4 a.m. for 1st job, 5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. go to gym until like 4 p.m. go home and shower, then show 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. Sleep at 10 or 11. They liked me so much that they upgraded my contract from temp to part-time, a more manageable 2-4 nights a week. And now I have a partner, so that's taking up time too.

Also if anyone wants to use the same ideas for a story do it. I'm merely a mediocre writer who had a good idea, so I can't wait to read what people with actual talent are able to do.

Story A/N

I've been having a harder time relating to Hachiman, or rather being able to write him. It might be because I haven't written him in a while, or it might be because I have changed and grown even more as a person. I'm trying to default back to my old style of a lot more dialogue but trying to write for each member and have it be distinct is a unique challenge that I'm enjoying, maybe a little too much. So I decided to release at least half of it to let you guys know that I'm alive and working hard and hopefully satisfy a slight craving. Almost all of this is considered character study and dialogue study for me so it might seem a little different from the usual.

Also based Hachiman Omake.

Going to address a few concerns:

I haven't forgot about the story, nor am I dropping it. I'm newly reinvigorated and have some ideas that I do want to write.

I'm actually trying to stay sober, for health reasons and that's slightly effecting my writing times.

Thank you for all of your patience and support!
