Chapter 3: Trouble on Two Ends
Nobody's POV
The group were now walking down the streets trying to find where Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos went and as they were still trying to find Night Ninja and his Ninjalinos, Catboy heard an evil laugh coming from across the street.
"Wait, I heard something. Cat Ears!" Catboy exclaimed as he activated his cat ears. Which is one of his superpowers.
Night Ninja's POV
"Soon, all of the relics in the pagoda will be mine, and I Night Ninja will take over the world?!" I explained with an evil laugh.
Catboy's POV
"Night Ninja, what are you planning?" I wanted to know.
"Ugh, do I have to explain it again, little kitty boy?" Night Ninja asked.
"Uhhhhh…… actually, yes I would love for you to explain your evil plan to me and my friends here as well, please." I pleaded.
"We're not friends, Catboy." Captain Jake exclaimed.
"Whatever. Just so you know Captain, I'm a better leader than you." I said as Cedric covered both of our mouths.
"Will you two stop arguing and let the ninja explain his plan?" Cedric asked.
"He started it?!" Both Captain Jake and I answered.
"Ugh, I'm surrounded by children." Cedric said
"Hello? In case you forgot, I was about to explain my plans to you, but why explain when I can show you where it will be, see you at the pagoda." Night Ninja said as he threw a smoke bomb onto the ground disappear from the spot as the Ninjalinos jumped away
"The pagoda!? Not again!" I exclaimed
"What's a pagoda?" Captain Jake asked.
"A Pagoda, a place where An Yu lives on Mystery mountain." I explained to him.
"Mystery mountain? Sounds like a magical place to be at." Cedric said.
"It is, but if Night Ninja does something with your magic, something bad will happen." I said
"I don't like where this is going." Captain Jake said.
"Then we better warn An Yu, before it's too late." I told the others as I looked at Luna girl and Motsuki.
"Go! I'll take the girls to Space Q for help." Ice Cub told me
As Ice Cub took Luna Girl Motsuki, we went to Mystery mountain to warn An Yu.
"I'll do the finger magic to open the door." I told Jake and Cedric as I did, after I did the finger magic, we all ran up the stairs to meet up with An Yu. But as we all got to the top we saw the doors of the wall were knocked down to see we were too late.
"By…my…cat whiskers?! An Yu!" I screamed as Cedric ran to her.
"She has a pulse, but she's weak." Cedric explained.
Grrrrrrrrrrrr*
"NIGHT NINJA!!" I yelled out loud.
"Ha, we better go Ninjalinos, I think Catboy is now mad!" Night Ninja said, but when he was about to take off, he halted as a purple glow appeared in his eyes causing his Ninjalinos to back away in fright.
"THIS IS THE WORST THING YOU'VE DONE!" Night Ninja didn't react as he just stood in place while I prepared to use one of my powers "SUPER CAT STRIPES!!!!" I said as I shot my stripes at Night Ninja, only to see he poofed away without moving a finger making us confused.
"Whoa, how did he do that?" Cedric asked
"If I saw what I think I saw, we might be in trouble." Captain Jake said.
"Grrr, we'll worry about that later, right now we have to take care of An Yu." I told them.
As I slowly walked up to the dragon girl, she was bleeding.
"Hey, An Yu, you're going to be okay." I reassured her.
"Jake, hand him your red bandana. quick!" Cedric said as Jake handed me his bandana so I could wrap it around An Yu's bleeding wound.
"There that should stop the bleeding till we can head back to Space Q." I exclaimed.
But we didn't get a chance to stand up when the Ninjalinos began speaking Ninjalinoese while jumping and waving their arms in fright trying to warn us about something.
"What are they saying?" Cedric asked
"I don't know, they are too panicked about something." I said.
"Well, we can go to Owlette, she can tell us what the Ninjalinos are saying." I said
But when Cedric was about to pick An Yu up into his arms, a sticky splat landed in between them causing Cedric to jump back in fright which made up look up to one of the towers to see Night Ninja was at the tip of one of them with sticky splats in his hands while his eyes were glowing purple.
"Uh, Cedric, are you okay?" I asked.
"I am alright, it seems he doesn't want us to pick your friend up, he must be in a trance or something." Cedric said.
"Of course, it's just like that big robot me and my mates encountered on shipwreck beach in Neverland, Night Ninja is being controlled by the same villains I met in Neverland." Captain Jake said.
"It's probably because of the magic." I explained.
"Would a strange crystal count? Cause it might be the same one that was controlling the big robot in my world before I came here." Jake said as he jumped back avoiding the sticky splats.
"RUN!!" Cedric exclaimed as he didn't care so he picked up An Yu into his arms and they ran for their lives.
"We gotta find a way to stop Night Ninja." Captain Jake said as I used super cat speed to get the Ninjalinos out of Night Ninja's view.
"Hey, Captain Jake, I asked PJ Robot to do something for you back at Space Q." I told him.
"Oh great, what is it?" Captain Jake asked.
"You'll see when we get there." I answered.
"Gonna be hard for us to get out of here when Night Ninja is throwing those sticky splats at us!" Cedric said as his foot got hit by one getting stuck in place.
"Here, let me help you get that sticky splat off you Cedric!" Captain Jake told him as he used his mighty Captain sword and melted the splat.
"Wow, you're amazing!" I told him.
"Uh-huh." Captain Jake answered like he didn't care at all.
"Hey what's your problem?" I asked.
"Oh nothing's the problem, I just miss Cubby and Izzy." Captain Jake explained.
"I understand." I answered.
"Can we please talk about who we miss after we stop Night Ninja?" Cedric said as Night Ninja started throwing sticky splats randomly at us.
"You stay out of this Mr. Magic man! Now, give me the dragon girl." Night Ninja said.
"How are we gonna get him down from there? He has an advantage from up high." Captain Jake said.
"Hey, Night ninja, I didn't want to say this in front of the Ninjolinos but they told me that they quit helping you." I lied as he came down.
"WHAT?!" Night Ninja shouted as he began charging at us.
As we moved aside, Night Ninja lost his balance and tripped slamming into one of the stone dragon statues causing a strange purple crystal to phase out of his head and across the area.
"That's the crystal I was talking about." Captain Jake said as I was about to grab it only for Cedric to slap my hand causing me to hold it in pain from it.
"Don't touch it! We don't want you to be under the villains' control." Cedric said.
"Ouch, sorry I won't touch it." I answered.
Izzy's POV
"Cubby, where is Jake? I am freaking out!!" I told him while walking back and forth in the dining room as he was drinking a coconut milkshake.
"I'm not sure, but wherever he is, I hope Nash is able to fix her ship so we can find him." Cubby spoke too soon when we heard a small explosion from below making us jump in fright.
"Yay hey no way, what was that?" I asked as we went to Bucky's grotto, once we got to Bucky's grotto, we saw a bunch of smoke coming out of the top of the Firehawk where Nash is fanning it away with her hand.
"I said the hydro-spanner." Nash said as she tossed the wrong tool to Robot who caught it.
"Robot is sorry, these tools you have are unknown to me." Robot said as he was having trouble finding the tool for Nash to fix the Firehawk.
"Oh man, if only RJ-83 was here, this would be going along much quicker." Nash said as she fanned the rest of the smoke away to try and see where she needed to fix the Firehawk.
"You and I are the only ones that went with Sofia through the portal here. So, you're stuck with Romeo's partner, Robot, until we're able to get the Firehawk operational." Lys said as she was using the force to lift a metal panel onto the bottom of the Firehawk for Sofia to use a hammer to nail it down.
"Ouch." Sofia exclaimed as she banged the hammer on her finger.
"Oh no, allow Robot to do that for you, princess." Robot said as he picked Sofia up and placed her out from under the Firehawk and took the hammer to nail the panel in place for her..
"Sofia, are you okay Princess?" Cubby asked.
"No, my finger hurts." Sofia said as she started to cry in pain.
"Oh, let me get Izzy to take a look at your finger." Cubby said as I was already standing next to him.
"No need to call me, I'm right here, Cubby." I told him as he jumped from being startled by me from behind.
"Dang it Izzy, you almost gave me a heart attack." I exclaimed.
"Sorry." I answered while I was attending to Sofia's finger.
"Why don't I help the others fix the ship, I'll leave you to it." Cubby said as he went over to help the others.
Sofia's POV
"Well, your finger isn't broken, just swollen a little bit." Izzy said as she picked up a medical kit to bandage it up.
"Thanks Izzy, say, you wanna know something I found out about before, me, Lys and Nash came to Neverland?" I asked as Izzy started bandaging up my finger.
"Yay hey, yes way." Izzy answered.
"After Nash lost the Firehawk in her world, I saw she was blushing." I whispered which made Izzy gasp a bit and leaned closer.
"Really?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah, but Nash is really secretive about it, she doesn't want anyone to know." I said as we looked to Nash who was now using the right tool to fix the top of the Firehawk.
Nash's POV
"Man, this is tougher than it looks" I said as Cubby climbed up with the tools I had on the ground.
"Hey Nash, I brought the tools up to make it easier." Cubby said as he set the tools next to me.
"Oh thanks, Cubby. Oh by the way, this letter came for you. It's from a mermaid named Stormy, I think that's her name?" I told him as he took the letter right out of my hand.
"Ooh, Cubby has a girlfriend." robot sang.
"Quiet, I don't want Izzy to make fun of me about it." Cubby said as he placed his hands on Robot's speaker.
"She is not, if you explain to her that you have a thing for Stormy she would understand." Lys told him as I nodded my head in agreement.
"Oh yeah sure, like that's going to make me feel better. But the truth is I don't think I'm ready to tell her. I'm not even ready to tell Stormy." Cubby explained.
"It's okay, everyone has that problem, it's a bit of a faze." I said as I pulled out a different tool from my tool box.
"Do you have a…" Robot didn't finish what he was gonna say when I slammed the tool I have in my hand onto his eye, knocking him over trying to act calm as Cubby and Lys were confused from what they saw.
"Shut… it… you… bucket… of… metal!" I whispered to Robot as he was getting back up.
Izzy's POV
"Hey, Izzy, Sofia, do you two have…..?" Robot was about to ask me and Sofia, but I picked up a rock and threw it at Robot's eye making him hold it in pain.
"That was a close one, and I see what you mean about Nash being secretive about who she has a crush on." I whispered to Sofia as I finished bandaging up her finger.
"Yeah, it'll be a while until we figure out who she has a crush on." Sofia whispered as she held her bandaged finger.
"Hey listen, don't tell anyone this but I secretly have a crush on Captain Jake." I whispered as Sofia hugged me.
"But wait a minute, doesn't that other mermaid named Marina, have a crush on Jake too?" Sofia wanted to know.
"Oh please, Marina is just saying that so she can get closer to Jake. And I bet you have a crush on someone in your family, is it James?" I asked in a whisper.
"A little bit, but don't tell him I'm not ready." Sofia exclaimed.
"Can I tell him?" Robot asked as I kicked on his foot making him hope on the other foot holding it.
"...Okay, that's a no." Robot answered.
"You know how girls are about their crushes." Sofia said as we heard an engine sound and saw the Firehawk was starting to power up as Nash and Cubby climbed down from the top of it.
"Okay, it's ready…. Whoa." Cubby said as he was about to fall but Nash caught him in her arms.
"Thanks Nash!" Cubby said.
"Gotta be careful when you're on the outside of a spaceship when it's not fully on the ground." Nash said as we all went into the ship.
"Wow, master would love to see this ship." Robot said as he pushed a button on a small table in the corner only to see holograms of two ships hovering above it.
"Now then, let's see if there are any systems close by." Nash said as she checked the space charts only to find there are only three other worlds available for them to go to.
"Looks like they messed with the chart, and there's where we are right now, Neverland." Lys said as she pointed to the world on the chart.
"Yeah, and there's Tenoo, that's where we meet Sofia." Nash said as Sofia came over.
"Look! It's Enchantia, I just hope everyone there is okay." Sofia said as she sat down on a chair behind me.
"There is Tarabiscoville, that is the world Robot is from, but why is it showing a strange gray light?" Robot asked as Nash pressed a button on the controls to get a better look at Tarabiscoville and saw it showed many places in that world as we saw the gray light was located on top of a mountain where a strange building is.
"Robot knows that it's Mystery mountain! Home of the dragon girl." Robot said as I looked closer at it.
"There must be something bad happening there, how do we get to Mystery mountain?" I asked as Nash was checking things on the controls of her ship.
"I don't know, I can't make sense of the controls, they've been messed up." Nash said as she was having trouble figuring out the controls of her ship.
"But it's right there." Cubby said as placed his finger close to the hologram of the mountain which showed a bright glow causing the Firehawk to start hovering above the water and out of Bucky's grotto.
"What just happened?" Nash asked as the Firehawk began flying towards the sky.
"Uh-oh, what is happening?" Sofia asked.
The Firehawk began to fly faster as the stars ahead started to look stretched as we began to fly through space at the speed of sound.
Catboy's POV
"How are we gonna pick up the crystal if we can't touch it?" Captain Jake asked as he tapped the crystal with the tip of his sword.
"Does anyone have a handkerchief?" I asked as Jake and Cedric checked their pockets only to find out none of us have one.
"There must be a way for us to…" Cedric didn't finish his sentence when he stepped on a sticky splat and grumbled about it as he placed An Yu down onto the ground and began trying to get his foot unstuck from it.
"Here let me help you with that sir." Captain Jake exclaimed as he melted the sticky splat with his Mighty Captain sword.
"Ahh, that's better. Thanks lad!" Cedric thanked him.
"Hey, do either of you hear something?" I asked as we looked around for where the sound was coming from until we looked up to see a ship flying to where we're at.
"Who's on that ship?" Captain Jake asked.
"Is it the muffin man?" I asked while Cedric slapped my back.
""How can it be the muffin man? It's a ship that is HEADING TOWARDS US!" Cedric yelled as we jumped out of the way before it could hit us as it landed near the pagoda.
Izzy's POV
"There a reason why the Firehawk flew by itself?" I asked as I had my hands on my hips.
"I'm as confused as you are." Nash said as she got up from the ground rubbing her head.
Captain Jake's POV
"Wait, that female voice? I know that female voice." I told the boys as I turned around slowly and saw Izzy walking out of the ship.
"Ahhhhhhhhhh!' Izzy!" I screamed with glee as we ran up to each other and hugged.
"I missed you." We both said in unison.
"Ooh, Captain Jake and Izzy, sitting in a tree k, i, s, s, i, n….. ouch!" Robot exclaimed as Nash hit his head with a wrench.
"What did that robot say?" I asked.
"Oh, he said nothing hehe." Izzy giggled nervously.
Catboy's POV
"Oh I know what he said, he was about to say… ouch." I whined as Cedric pinched my ear.
"Don't make it awkward for them." Cedric said who then let my ear go.
"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Izzy asked.
"I'm Cedric the great." Cedric introduced himself to her.
"Cedric?" a voice called out for us to look towards the ship to see a girl in a princess outfit.
"Princess Sofia! Thank goodness you're okay." Cedric said as he went over to the princess and hugged her tight.
"It's good to see you too Cedric. Uh, can you please put me down." Princess Sofia asked nicely as Cedric realized he picked her up.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Cedric apologized as he placed her back on the floor.
"Wow, didn't think he would miss you that much." a girl with flame colored hair said as she came out of the ship along with a strange alien girl.
"Excuse me, but who's the kid in the catsuit?" the alien girl asked.
"Oh, I'm Catboy, and you are?" I introduced myself to the alien girl.
"I'm Nash, Nice to meet you Catboy, and this is Lys." Nash introduced herself and Lys to me.
"And I'm Izzy." Izzy told me.
"Yeah, no one asked you." I told her.
"Catboy, you have to respect what others say, like we have to secure the… oh no! The crystal! Where'd it go!?" Cedric said in panic as we started to look for it.
"Uh oh, Robot found where it is." Robot said as he pointed to where it was for us to see it was near the unconscious An Yu.
"That's not good." Sofia said as she held her wand out for defense.
"So you were able to defeat Night Ninja, big deal." a voice called out as all of us looked up into the sky to see a ship that was different from the other one.
"Taborr!?" Lys and Nash said in panic.
"What do you want, Taborr!?" Nash asked with grinning teeth.
"Nothing much, just want to see how the crystal will react to a hero." Taborr said as the crystal close to An Yu began to glow bright causing all of us to cover our eyes from it.
"What's…. happening?" Captain Jake asked.
"I don't know, I can't…" I wasn't able to finish what I was saying when the glow started going down for us to see An Yu has turned into an actual dragon who then roared at us.
"That's not good." Sofia said.
