Hazel's POV
I hadn't seen Nico since the battle when he was suddenly able to air-bend and I was really worried.'He couldn't be the Avatar...could he?' I thought as I got ready for dinner. During the battle had his eyes closed and Hazel knew that he was half blind and saw shape with his bending and color with what he could see with his eyes (Yeah so... I just really wanted to make someone blind or half blind and Nico being half blind really flows with everything I planned for this story to have.) But there has never been a blind Avatar in all of history and yet... nobody else could have bent because Nico was the only one who moved. Everyone had been shocked into stillness. He was taken away by headmaster Minos after he drove the fire-benders away and-"Hazel..." someone that I immediately recognized whisper shouted through the window. I turned to look at Nico and said "What" "We need to go before anyone comes to hurt me or you... and this is Will, he's coming too." A boy with blond hair and blue eyes poked his head into view. "Um... Nico... why are we running and how are we supposed to get far enough away to not get found?'' "Hazel I know that you know why, you're good at things like that, and we are going to Republic City. Nobody would even notice a few kids and I have a few years of practice living on the street." "Okay... We better hurry headmaster Minos will come looking for me soon.""I already snatched some food from the kitchen and got a sword and horse for each of us... except Will doesn't use swords. I clambered out of the window and onto a peachy and white horse who had his name written on his saddle, his name was Arion. Nico's pet Wolf-Hawk was on Nico's shoulder in Chick/Pup form and we rode off.
