Bad Romance: Episode 8
Saffron City, Kanto. May 1st, 2023. 9:03pm.
May trailed down the stairs in a black top with netted sleeves, adorned with jewels, and a matching skirt. "Drew?" she called softly.
Drew immediately straightened up. "Y-yeah?" he asked. "How do I look?" she asked, twirling on the tip of her black open-toe, heel to show off her new outfit.
"You look fucking damn!" Misty yelled from across the room. The group chuckled. "Come on, babe, let's go," Ash sweat-dropped, as he pulled her outside.
Soon, everybody was out, except for Drew, who was still frozen in his spot.
May unexpectedly grabbed his hand. He looked down at their clasped hands and then back at her. She smiled innocently.
"Don't you wanna go, Drewy?" she asked, batting her eyelashes to give off a cute vibe.
Drew swallowed hard. "Drewy?" he whispered underneath his breath as May dragged him out to the car.
Soon, they reached the party place.
Dawn and Paul immediately started with the games.
"Let's go do that one," Dawn pointed at a game. Paul nodded and followed her amusedly.
Leaf, Misty, and Ash entered together.
Leaf turned to her sister. "Misty, I freaking love this place!" she exclaimed, looking around. Misty nodded, grinning. "Me too!" she agreed.
Ash came into view, and grabbed Misty's petite waist.
"So, how's the party babe?" he asked, kissing her forehead. Misty tried to hide her smile. "Ash! This is not the place for this!" she scolded him.
"I'll just go now…" Leaf said, taking a few steps towards the dance floor.
Gary tapped her shoulder. "Hey Leafy," he greeted her. Leaf turned away.
"What?" Gary asked, puzzled.
"Everybody is lost in their little romance story, while you're here eating fish!" she exclaimed.
Gary ran a hand through his hair. "So what do you want me to do? Announce that we're getting-" he paused. "You want romance? I'll give you romance," he muttered under his breath.
He quickly got up on the platform where the singers were singing and asked to borrow their microphone for a couple minutes.
He tapped the microphone twice. "Hello? Can I get your attention please?" he asked.
Suddenly, Leaf hugged him tightly from the back. "Don't say a word," she spoke through gritted teeth. Gary looked back at the audience.
"So where was I? Ah, yes. I-" Leaf cut him off by kissing him on the lips. The crowd cheered.
"Oh my gosh, Leaf!" Dawn laughed. "No way," Paul smirked, running a hand through his hair.
"Shut up," Leaf said, blushing and breaking the kiss. Gary smirked.
"Sorry, my bride is really shy," he spoke into the microphone. The audience cheered as Gary called Leaf his bride. Leaf smacked his chest. Gary grappled the area where she'd hit him.
"Ow, it's hurt baby," he spoke dramatically. Leaf just smiled and hugged him again.
Meanwhile, May was busy looking for Drew. Where the hell is he? she thought frustratedly.
Suddenly, she spotted him with the same auburn haired girl from the store. She discreetly followed them outside.
"Thank you so much, Drew. I'd never thought I'd see my brother again," the girl told him.
"Of course-" CRASH! The girl and Drew turned around to find May by some fallen beer bottles.
Drew's eyes widened. "May," he spoke breathily. May approached them sternly. "Drew. Leave." she told him. "But-" Drew tried to protest. "I said, LEAVE." she folded her arms. The lime haired boy put his head down and left the scene.
May turned to the girl. "I'm May," she introduced herself. The girl shook her outstretched hand. "Brianna,"
"So, how do you know Drew?" May asked. Brianna smiled as if remembering a distant memory. "He is my brother's friend," she informed the brunette.
May nodded. "But why'd you kiss him, then?" She asked. Brianna blinked.
"What?"
May pulled out her phone and showed her the pictures. Brianna grinned in realization.
"Oh, we weren't kissing," she waved her hand dismissively. "He was just protecting me from some bullies,"
May nodded again, shocked at the discovery. Suddenly, a loud honk sounded from the next street. Brianna looked back.
"Sorry, I have to go. See you!" she waved as she ran across the street.
May tapped her chin. "So, this bad boy actually has a heart inside?" she spoke to herself. Then, she smiled evilly. "Okay, Drewy. Time for me to be bad,"
The group arrived home and crashed on the couch.
"Ah, I'm so tired," Misty said. Dawn nodded. "Me too,"
"Then let's sleep, babe," Ash winked. Misty blushed as Dawn cracked up.
"Dawn," Misty warned. "Don't laugh or I'll laugh,"
Dawn just shrugged. Paul entered the room. Misty pointed at him.
"Ah, there he is!" she said. Dawn smacked her arm. "Don't!" she protested before getting up and pulling Paul to their room with a pull on the arm.
Misty rolled her eyes.
Drew entered his room, tired from the night.
As soon as he entered, he froze in the doorway. "M-May?" he stammered.
May was sitting on the bed, wearing a very short black dress that revealed all her curves, reading a book.
Drew swallowed hard.
May looked up and put down the book when she saw him.
She walked up to him seductively.
"Hey, you," she greeted coldly. Drew nodded nervously.
"Do I look like an idiot to you?" she asked, touching his blazer.
Drew shook his head.
May took off his blazer. "Tell me, are you thirsty?" she asked him, smirking.
The lime haired boy quickly ran out of the room and ran to his brother's.
"Ash!" He panted.
"What?" Ash replied.
"Yeah, what?" Misty poked her head from behind Ash.
Drew pointed to his room. "I'm not sleeping with May!" he told them.
"Why?" Ash scratched his head.
Misty put a hand on Ash's shoulder. "Wait. I'll call her here." she cupped her hands around her mouth. "May!"
May came to the door a few seconds later. "You called me?" she asked innocently.
Misty nodded. "Did you flirt with him?" she asked her.
May shook her head. Misty turned to Drew. "Great, you can go," she said as she shooed them out of the room.
"B-but," Drew tried to protest, but Misty had already slammed the door in their faces.
As soon as they reached their room, May pushed Drew onto the bad and lay beside him.
"Why'd you tell Misty?" she asked, narrowing her eyes slightly. "Do you want me to have a conversation with you?"
Suddenly, it all clicked for Drew. Without saying a word, he grabbed her face and pulled her in for a deep kiss.
After a minute or so, he pulled back. May shifted away from him, scared for what he would do next. Drew suddenly got a mysterious glint in his eye.
He followed her as she touched the wall. "Come on, baby," he spoke seductively. "Let's have some more conversation," he unbuttoned his shirt.
May immediately started crying. "Please, no," she begged him. Drew suddenly started laughing.
"I was just kidding," he laughed.
May gasped loudly and hit his chest. "You're so bad, I hate you!" she exclaimed before joining in with his laughter.
A few minutes later, they both turned to the side. "Good night," May said. "Can't we have a little conversation?" Drew asked.
May hit him with a pillow and laughed. "No, let's sleep," she told him.
Drew smirked and flicked his hair. "Not a chance. Pillow fight!" he announced, throwing a pillow at her.
A few hours later, they were still fighting. "I'm gonna win!" May laughed. "No way!" Drew chuckled. Suddenly, a loud ring interrupted them. Still in a mad laughing rush from before, May picked up the phone.
"Hello?" she asked into the phone.
"Hey May. My dad and I are coming to Saffron, if thats okay?"
"Sure!" May answered cheerfully, not really paying attention to what she was saying.
"Okay, great! I'll text you the address! See you tomorrow!"
He hung up. Drew let out one last laugh. "Who was that?" he asked, smiling. May grinned right back. "Oh, it was just-" she paused before thinking.
That was Brendan!
