Yes, this did happen. The Giants were robbed of their rings and the Jeweler who made them got robbed as well (they took gold, jewels and the rings it was chaos). I heard this story while researching and this popped in my head ;).

Liberty was asleep in his office, finally being able to even sleep at all after fighting a head cold he caught after his team's win. He received his latest ring, but he was sick so he placed it along with the others on a wrist band that had the others. His sleep however was disturbed by the sounds of banging from up stairs.
Liberty: *Sleepy* -groans- It's two in the morning.
He got up putting a robe on around his pajamas and headed up, wanting to silence whatever was making noise...forgetting his torch in his tired daze.

Eli woke to the sounds of sirens blaring, getting up with his fiance.
Abby McGrew: Eli you hear that?
Eli Manning: Yeah. Must be pretty big if its more than one.
He went to the window, and froze when they saw them flying by to one place he knew ALL TO WELL.

The area was surrounded by police cars fast as Eli and Abby parked, running out. They looked around when they saw Liberty shaking at the phone.
Eli Manning: *worry* LIBERTY!
Liberty turned once the call was done seeing the tow running over.
Abby McGrew: *worry* Liberty are you alright!?
Liberty: *panic* ROBBER-GUN POINT-SOAR-!
Eli Manning: Liberty breath.
Liberty took some breaths, calming his racing heart.
Liberty: I-I-Okay. Okay.

Liberty: I-I was finally able to sleep when I heard noises. When I got up I was met with a gun in my face ready to rob me, Soar tackled him and told me to call the police.

All three turned, and Liberty ran over seeing Soar covered in bruises with the Police Chief tackling the Jet Rusher in a hug.
Liberty: Soar are you alright?!
Soar: Y-Yeah, just banged up. That guy put up on heck of a fight.
Police Chief: We apprehended him and are taking him to the station. We would like you to come along to give your testimony.
Liberty nodded

Officer: Sir, we got a warrant on this man. Turns out he's one of the men involved in the robbery.

They turned seeing them and Freedom ran over hugging Liberty, tears pricking his eyes.
Freedom: Lib I'm so sorry I had no idea my fans would go that far-!
Liberty: *hugging Freedom* Easy easy, it's not your fault nor your teams. It was of their own decision.
Stampede: *comes over with the others* And lets be glad Soar decided to stay to guard both the shards while Lib recovered.
Soar gave a smile as Freefall gentle checked his bruised lip.
Freefall: *checking over Soar* Good news nothing serious but dang he got you good.
Soar: Yeah, manage to get the weapon away though. Was just a fake too.
Talon: Still though, to steal a teams rings and then try to rob a Rusher they must be insane.
Eli Manning: I know! That's why i needed to get you guys in the know, they brought the guys that stole the other rings in the next room with the one who tried and rob Lib.

Eli Manning: YEP. Also got it recording for the Patriots, I think certain people will be proud of this.

The Patriots listened as their Rusherz called, cursed, and basically destroy the burglars; Bill and Robert chuckled with sly smiles.
Bill Belichick: Oh he is so mad, listen to him go.
Robert Kraft: I do believe he got some of those moves on you.
Bill Belichick: Yep. The combo of a owner and a coach, take notes boys. This is why you don't tick any of the Rusherz off.
Tom Brady: *starring* Notes taken. Dang Freedom.
One hour later, NYC Police Station...
Freedom opened and closed the door with a satisfied grin.
Freedom: Alright, feeling better now. *walks over* I think they got my message.
Eli couldn't help but chuckle as his fiance looked in awe.
Liberty: *pats Freedom's back* Thank you, Freedom. I will say I'm looking forward to seeing how the league will react to this chaos.
Soar: Think they'll be more happy the situation did not get worse.

Liberty sighed as he finished.
Liberty: The team was relieved I was safe, and grateful that Soar was there. The Mara family even saying them moving in with us was a smart move.
Ricky: DANG, I never thought they would go so far as to rob you.
Ish: That must of been terrifying.
Liberty: It was, I had no idea how he got in or that he had came from the Ringer makers place. Soar was a real life saver that day...*smirks* AND Freedom really decimated their ego.
Ash gave a chuckle nodding, hearing Freedom unleashing his inner Kraft and Belichick.
Marty: Thank goodness you all were alright sides from a couple of bruises.
Liberty nodded, happy to see the Guardians relived at the good turn of events of that incident.

Liberty: That would be a good idea, should warn you some of them might be-triggers.
