Chapter 5 - Wax on Wax off
All over body damage and covered it dust, Han looks at the Silvia from head to tail. Sitting in the back corner of the garage lot, Han walks to find someone that may know something about it. A middle aged mechanic was under the hood of an old 1969 Ford Mustang.
Han sees a vast collection of old American cars. "This is quite a collection you have here." Han says. The mechanic continues to work, not answering his words, then pauses. "What do you want kid? We're not open for business.", says the mechanic. Han cuts to the chase, asking about the Silvia and how long until it's back to normal. It seriously needs a tune up, physically and mechanically. Money is hard to come by and the owner can't afford the eyesore", says the mechanic. "Tell you what, I'll take care of your debt if you give me that car." The mechanic laughs and tells Han to leave. Han gives him 2500 cash and says,"Consider this the advance on your investment.
Weeks later Han was back to business. Although the s15 acts as his daily and project, each repair led to another underlying issue. These issues, big and small, give him a better connection to the spirit of the Silvia. Over time, it came back from the brink of death or so it would seem.
