Toru Oikawa loved team bonding outside of practice, it was another chance to spend time with his team and hang out.
But he was already late! Iwaizumi was sure to give him a scolding when he got to the arcade.
He waited at the bus stop for around 10 minutes before it showed up.
When he got on the bus, he swiped his card and sat down and leaned his head against the window, and waited for his stop.
It hadn't even been 5 minutes and they had already stopped again, he looked up and saw some people exiting the bus and one person coming on.
He looked around and saw that she could either stand, or sit next to him. And judging from her height she couldn't reach the handles on the bus.
So he scooted closer to the window just in case, but he couldn't help but feel like she looked familiar.
He stole another glance at her and noticed that she had brown eyes like his, blonde hair that had stars and alien hair clips, and she wore a light blue short sleeved shirt, black leggings with shorts on top, and white shoes.
He heard her swipe her card and come up next to his seat.
Yachi: D-um-do you mind if I sit w-with you?
Oikawa smiled internally and looked up at her.
Oikawa: Not at all
He smiled his signature smile at her.
Yachi: Y-You-
She stuttered, he looked at her confused as to what she was trying to say.
Oikawa: You okay there?
He gave her a concerned look and tilted his head.
She nodded and sat down.
Yachi: Y-your T-Toru Oikawa-
She looked speechless
Oikawa: (Oh- so she knows who I am..She doesn't look like the type of person to watch Volleyball)
Oikawa: You watch Volleyball?
Yachi: Y-yes and-..No?
She looked kinda confused.
Oikawa: Um?
Yachi took a deep breath and looked him in the eye.
Yachi: I-I'm the m-manager for Karasuno's boys Volleyball team..
She gave him a small smile
Oikawa: (I knew she looked familiar!)
Oikawa: I knew you looked familiar Manager-chan~
Yachi got a bit of a light pink dust over her cheeks.
Oikawa: But- I don't think I ever caught your name Manager-chan~
He chuckled a bit when she looked at him apologetically.
Yachi: I-I'm Hitoka Yachi! Its n-nice to meet you formally Oikawa-Senpai!
She gave him a genuine smile, and for some reason his heart fluttered and his stumchic got butterflies.
Oikawa: Nice to meet you too Hitoka-Chan~
They made small talk for a bit and smiled at each other, then fell into a comfortable silence.
Until Yachi, who gained a bit of confidence, and broke the silence.
Yachi: D-do you mind ex-exchanging contact info?
She had a shy look on her face and looked down a bit.
Oikawa had a full on smirk at this point and nodded while he talked,
Oikawa: Of course!
And Oikawa knew that he was a flirt, and he loved teasing people, especially if they were cute girls.
So of course he teased her.
Oikawa: You know Hitoka-Chan~ that was nice of you, if not for your shy nature I would have guessed that you've fallen for me~
He teased, and half grinned and half smirked at her.
But he knew that he still had butterflies and would deal with this later.
He could see her blush, which he found adorable, and smiled.
Oikawa: I'm only joking Hitoka-Chan~
He chuckled, and heard her sigh a bit with relife.
They exchanged information with each other and continued small talk.
Oikawa: So where are you headed to?
Yachi: Oh to the arcade!
Oikawa: (Okay well at least she's not studdering anymore, and we're going to the same place?!)
Oikawa smiled at her, a gentle and honest smile.
Oikawa: I'm going to the same place-
He chuckled a bit and heard her giggle.
Oikawa: (Her giggle is so cute..)
Oikawa: Well wanna walk together?
He looked up and smiled at her
Yachi: I would like that-
The bus stopped, and they both looked outside and saw it was their stop.
They both start walking.
When they almost get to the arcade, when it gets hit with a gust of cold air, making Yachi shiver
It made Oikawa a bit worried about her catching a cold.
So he took off his jacket and put it around her shoulders,
Yachi looked up, a bit shocked
Yachi: Wha- Oikawa-Senpai y-you don't have too-
Oikawa: It's fine I promise
Yachi: But- how can I pay you back?
He smiled, because not only was she wearing his favorite jacket, but they were in range of the arcade and he knew all of them would hear them, so-
Oikawa: (Why not kill two birds with one stone?)
He smirked,
They had continued waking and were now in front of the window of the arcade and hoping the others were watching..
Because he knew that Karasuno was always protective when it came to their teammates..especially when it came to her.
Oikawa: Well~ how about we go out together? Just me and you!
Oikawa smiled when he saw her blush.
Yachi: L-like a date?!
Oikawa: Mhmm!
Yachi was a blushing mess and nodded, knowing that her words would fail her right now.
In truth Yachi had a small crush on him since they met at the Practice match.
So this was like a dream come true for her.
Yachi: I-I would love it too!
Oikawa leans down and kisses her cheek.
~Before they had showed up~
~15 minutes ago~
Iwaizumi: Come on seriously?
Makki: Maybe the bus is running late?
Mattsun: Or something is going on with Takru?
Yahaba: Ima go get us tickets until he gets here..
Kyotani: He's probably flirting with some girl-
Hinata: GUYS WHAT IF SHE GOT KIDNAPPED?!
Kageyama: Shut up boke!
Tsukishima: If she needed help she would have called.
Ennoshita: Yeah I heard the buses were running late
Suga: Still..
Kiyoko: Guys calm down I'm sure everything is okay
Kumimi: King?
Kindachi: What-
Everyone looked at each other awkwardly
Iwazumi: Kumimi apologize!
Kumimi: ...Sorry..
Kageyama: I-..It's alright..
Hinata: Where's the great king?
Iwaizumi: Crappykawa is late
Iwazumi rolled his eyes at the words and looked at them
Iwaizumi: What about you guys? What's wrong?
Daichi: Oh, our younger manager, her name is Yachi, Hitoka Yachi. She's-.. how tall is she?
Noya: She 4'11-
Daichi: Right-
Iwaizumi: Oh yeah I remember seeing her at the practice match.
Makki: Yeah sorry we haven't seen her. Sorry..
Daichi: It's okay-
Ennoshita: GUY'S! LOOK OUT THe window...
They all look out the window and see Oikawa and Yachi talking, they can't hear what they're talking about but then Iwazumi sees Oikawa's favorite jacket on the short blonde.
Iwaizumi: That's-..that's his favorite jacket...
Everyone looked surprised. And see a blush on Yachi's face, and her talking, but not making it out what she's saying.
Hinata: He better not do what I think he's do-
They all see Oikawa lean down and give her a kiss on her cheek.
Everyone's jaws dropped, and then...everyone lost their shit..
Noya: What the fuck-?
Suga: OH HELL NO
Tanaka: WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS?!
Iwaizumi: Goddamnit Shittykawa
And then Kyotani says something that shocks all of them..
Kyotani: IS THAT MY SISTER?!
Yahaba: Yep... that's Hitoka...Um-
Yahaba reads the room and takes a deep breath and opens the door and pokes out his head.
Yahaba: Hey, um you two- or at least Oikawa-Senpai should run!..
Yachi: Wha-
Oikawa: Wai-
YAhaba: NOW!
He said worried and closed the door and they looked through the window and saw Karasuno angry, and Kyotani mad.
Yachi: Oikawa-Senpai! I can't run fast!
Oikawa: Well then how about we just go on our date now~
Yachi: Wha-
Oikawa lightly grabs her wrist and pulls her up on his back, by then he hears the door open, he then books it with Yachi on his back.
~5 minutes later~
They stopped at a small shop near the outskirts of their town, they had lost them 2 minutes ago, but just to be sure.
Oikawa started panting,
Oikawa: Well isn't this a great first date
He chuckled and smiled at Yachi, while she giggled.
Yachi: Sorry, you got chased by my team and my brother.
Oikawa: It's fine- after all I kinda expected it
He laughs a little and looks around.
Oikawa: Well if you want we can have this little date now?~
Yachi smiles and nods.
They both sit down and order.
OiYachi: Milk bread please-
They look at each other and laugh
Oikawa: You like milk bread?
Yachi: Mhmm! I've been craving it for a little.
She smiled nervously, while he looked at her in adoration.
It was true that he did indeed like her, but would she like him? would she even come out on this date if this didn't happen?
He was snapped out of her thoughts by her talking.
Yachi: C-can I t-tell you something Oikawa-Senpai?
She had a deep blush on her face, and he was curious to what that was about.
Oikawa: Of course you can Hitoka-Chan~
Yachi took a deep breath and looked at him, face nearing crimson,
Yachi: I-I've liked y-you for a-a while Oikawa-Senpai, I'm r-really happy th-that you asked m-me out!
She had happy tears in her eyes and smiled at him, he smiled back
Oikawa: Hitoka-Chan, I- I like you too..Will you be my girlfriend?
He smiled at her, as he watched her smile and then fumble through her words.
Yachi: UM- wh-no-AH- EEP-YES!
He chuckled at how she was effortlessly cute, and then stood up and walked around the table and sat next to her.
Yachi looked up at him meeting his eyes, as she felt him lifting her chin up
Oikawa: May I?
He asked as he whispered in her ear, with a slight hint of desperation in her tone as she said the words
Yachi: Y-yes-
She whispered but was cut off by Oikawa kissing her.
The kiss was short but they both enjoyed it.
Yachi blushed when he pulled back, and Oikawa had a smirk on his face.
Oikawa: Aww your so cute Flower-Chan~
She was taken back by the new nickname, not that she minded!
Yachi: Flower-Chan?
Oikawa: You remind me of a flower Hitoka-Chan~
Yachi: C-can I give you a nickname too?
She smiled at him, it was a shy smile but it was cute to him.
Oikawa: Of course you can my little flower~
Yachi: C-can I call you-..Ru?
Now it was Oikawa's turn to start blushing, and stuttering. Which in turn made Yachi giggle a little.
Oikawa: Wha- ofc- wait-YEAh-
Yachi gave a small smile and slowly put her hand on top of Oikawa's, which seemed to calm him down a bit.
Oikawa calms down and smiles.
~After they eat~
After they finished eating, Oikawa smiled at her and helped her up.
Oikawa: Um the library isn't too far? did you wanna go?
He smiled at her, she nodded at his question, not wanting this day to end..
~Later~
After a day filled with laughter and getting to know one another, carefully avoiding Karasuno and Kyotaini, Oikawa took her home.
Oikawa: Well You want to go out tomorrow? Hopefully the other's won't chase us.
They both laughed at the comment, while Yachi opened her door.
Yachi: Y-yeah I would like that Ru.
Oikawa gave a half grin half smirk,
Oikawa: Okay then my little flower~ see you tomorrow~
He leans down and picks up her chin giving her a quick kiss before waving goodbye.
Yachi: Text me, and let me know if you got home safe!
She smiled at him as he looked back and nodded with a smile on his face.
Yachi: (Now to tell coach and mom what happened)
She giggled to herself, because she didn't want them to get away with this since this is her first boyfriend.
Oikawa walked home with a smile on his face the entire time, he was just happy.
When he got home he saw Iwazumi sitting in the living room staring at him as he walked in.
Oikawa: First off Iwa-Chan you know how creepy this is right?
He gave him a suspicious look.
Iwaizumi: What did you do with that girl?
Oikawa: Her? Nothing~..
Oikawa: Why?~
Iwazumi sighed and walked over to him
Iwaizumi: Dumbass, where did you guys go?!
Oikawa: Well now I don't wanna tell you!
He childishly sticks out his tongue and walks up the stairs to his room.
Iwaizumi: Hey! Wait a minute! Where's your jacket?!
Oikawa: My little flower has it~
Iwaizumi: You're what?
Oikawa: Fine I'll tell you!
He says as he opens his door for him to come in.
Oikawa: Me and Hitoka-Chan got together~
Iwaizumi: Did you force that poor girl?
He joked around, and Oikawa gasped dramatically
Oikawa: How dare you?
Oikawa: No, actually she's the one that told me that she liked me.
Iwaizumi: Well now that's a miracle.
Oikawa: HEY!
Iwazumi chuckled at his best friend
Iwazumi: I'm happy for you stupid, don't lose her...
Iwaizumi: And you might wanna watch your back around Kyotani and Karasuno...Did you do that on purpose?
Oikawa: No... Maybe?.. Okay! It was the truth! but I just wanted to see how they would react? So maybe I did it right there in that spot on purpose..
Iwazumi sighed at his best friend's antics and just smiled.
Iwaizumi: I'm going home now, sleep well.
Iwazumi walked out of the room, and then out the front door.
Oikawa immediately grabbed his phone and texted Yachi.

Oikawa knew that he was smiling like an idiot, but he really didn't care, he was just happy, and he knew he would have to deal with her brother but he would deal with it when the time came.
He settled in bed and slowly fell asleep happily...
