Author's Note: I haven't written in awhile due to life getting in the way and I have recently discovered Good Omens. More specifically the show and working my way through the book. I have cross posted this story on AO3 under a different username, but I wanted to post it here as well because this is my home site and where I got my start. All 6 chapters of the story will be posted at once. I hope you enjoy and please be kind in your reviews.
Chapter 1
Aziraphale had been the Supreme Archangel for 2 weeks now. It was lonelier than he expected. He wished Crowley had come with him. Every once in awhile he caught himself brushing his fingers against his lips remembering the kiss that Crowley had gave him. A desperate attempt to get him to stay. He thought if he came to Heaven he could make things better and safer for him and Crowley to finally be together. He was now starting to think he was wrong.
The Metatron had just finished explaining the plan for the Second Coming. All of humanity would be wiped out. There would be no world for him and Crowley to be together in. He was so lost in thought that it hadn't occurred to him that the Metatron was still talking to him.
"Well what do you think?"
"I'm sorry?" Aziraphale asked coming out of the trance he was in. They had been walking through Heavens main office and talkimg over the plan.
"What do you think of the plan?" The Metatron questioned as they stopped their walk.
"Oh. Umm..I-I-I think its wonderful. Yes. Ummm I was just wondering is it necessary to wipe out all of humanity? I mean they, they haven't done anything. Can we just do something that doesn't require wiping them all out?" Aziraphale stammered playing with the ring on his pinky finger.
"The Universe is 6000 years old. Its time we wipe the slate clean. They had their chance. You do agree don't you?" The Metatron insinuated.
"Uh yes. Yes of course, I just thought that maybe we could..."
"Aziraphale. I brought you here because I thought you were the right angel for the job. You are the right for the job correct?" The Metatron insisted.
"Ummm..." Aziraphale looked off not really sure how to answer. Of course it was great honor to become the Supreme Archangel especially after everything with the Antichrist and working with Crowley the way he had. Not to mention the whole debacle with Gabriel and blowing up his halo. But to become Supreme Archangel and find out you were going to have a huge role in wiping out all of humanity didn't sit right with him.
He loved the humans and alot of the things that made people human. With humanity wiped out there would be no more bookshop, no more hot cocoa, no more music, no more sushi, and possibly no more Crowley. And the more he thought about it the more it terrified him to think of a world like that.
"Aziraphale? Did I or did I not pick the right angel?" The Metatron asked again.
Aziraphale closed his eyes and sighed deeply.
Screw it.
"No. No I'm not the right angel. I don't see the point in wiping out the human race. They have done nothing they are innocent. I have made a terrible mistake coming here. If you will excuse me I will see myself out." Aziraphale stated starting to walk away.
"Its that demon isn't it?"
Aziraphale stopped. He turned to face the Metatron again.
"I think he has tempted you too much over all these years. We need to do something about that." The Metatron stated firmly.
"You come anywhere near him or harm him in anyway and you will see my true wrath. I may seem passive, but I promise, harm him and you will see how unforgiving I can be." Aziraphale growled standing in a battle stance.
"I wasn't talking about him, I was talking about you." The Metatron corrected.
Before Aziraphale could respond, he was grabbed by 2 other angels. Immediately he started to struggle against their hold.
"You can't do this! I am the Supreme Archangel and I demand to be let go! I will speak to the Almighty about this!" Aziraphale yelled.
"Not anymore. Until we get you set straight you are no longer the Supreme Archangel. Sometime with Sandalphon should help you remember whose side you are on and make you forget all about that demon." The Metatron insisted.
Aziraphale struggled more against the Angels as he was pulled away. Soon he was hit over the head with something and darkness crept into his vision. The last thing he saw was Sandalphon standing over him with an evil smile on his face.

Aziraphale woke with a start and a pounding ache on the back of his head. He immediately started pulling on the ropes that bound his wrists and ankles to the chair he was in. They didn't budge. Aziraphale reached for his miracles but the ropes must have been blessed because his magic felt out of his reach. Looking around he observed the room. It was still brightly lit like the rest of heaven, but it had no windows and only one door. Suddenly the door opened and in walked Sandalphon wheeling in a tray that was covered by a sheet. Aziraphale instinctively started tugging on the ropes again.
"We are going to have so much fun."
