"We have a problem Casparious.

A big problem. The Subject is getting out of hand and my shadow was torn away from me by some sort of evil elemental.

It apparently lives here, the girl is somehow connected to it.

She could ruin me Chesso, all those secrets floating around her head, she has to be stopped, perhaps even sedated if necessary.

She's gone for now but I fear if she stays away too long she may learn of her true origin and now she knows mine.

She is dangerous Chesso, you know this, her power is growing right now as we speak we need to subdue her before she reaches her full potential.

She can't learn about what's she's capable of, not just yet, we need to ease her into it, other wise she could destroy us both.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this meddlesome Poltergeist that lives in this house is on her side which means I have a very powerful foe that I'll have to deal with just to get to her.

This is not good Chesso, we need to take action before it's too late".

Dirk spoke over the phone complety unaware that I was watching him.

Dirk was a stupid man, a man that was made stupid by his own arrogance.

He had head knowledge but he had no emotional intelligence whatsoever.

I almost wish I could be rid of him right here and now but killing him wouldn't solve the incoming threat of the infamous Dr. Chesso.

I said I'd pay him a visit and I meant it.

Now I'd have to actually do it.

Dirk was not as much of a threat as he was before but the fact that I knew nothing of what this Dr Chesso, was highly troubling to me, so I'd have to visit him very soon.

Meanwhile Splendor, was no doubt in need of my assistance.

"When is the soonest you can come.

No I have no idea where she is, she's out and about filming with that film crew, the ghost busting kind, they are location hunting, apparently they are going all over the place.

It wasn't my intention to let her go but as you know she's extremely spirited, then that shadow thing happened and she left shortly afterwards.

I don't know who she left with probably with that Salazar fellow.

Sidney Salazar I believe it is."

I moved in a little closer so as to hear Dr. Chesso over the phone as well.

"Oh shit Wastrum! Are you serious?

She's definitely going to discover her true potential if she associates with the likes of him.

She doesn't know who he really is does she now?"

Chesso had a darkly sarcastic voice, it was a shrill and prickly, it had a oddly musical quality, it was almost comical the way his intonation went from overly cheerful to grossly irritated.

He seemed to sing some of the words like a frustrated violin concerto and when his voice dropped it was like listening to the forboding end of a pounding piano.

"She knows nothing of his true identity, she only works with him but it's only a matter of time till she knows the truth.

She is clairvoyant afterall, so it shouldn't be too hard for her to figure it out."

"Dammit Dirk, We are running out of time!

When is she coming home?"

"Damned if I know Chesso.

She doesn't talk to me anymore.

She sees me as the villain in her story and I suspect she knows a lot more than she's telling me.

She's not stupid Chesso, as you know."

"Yes Wastrum I'm well aware of that. I was her Doctor, remember.

Perhaps she still thinks of me fondly.

I was never truly unkind to her.

I used to be a sort of Father figure for her.

Maybe I could use that to my advantage.

She may even allow me to pursuade her.

We'll see what happens but call me when she returns.

We need to get the ball rolling...as soon as possible."

I sneered in contempt at their pure corruption and dastardly scheming.

I must give word to Splendor, I had to tell her about this so she could be prepared for the upcoming threat of Chesso.

Once I told her I would then take care of Chesso myself... personally.

Why was I even here in the first place?

I had a new duty and a new purpose and that was to protect Splendor at all costs.

I hadn't done a very good job of it so far.

I allowed a shadow to mark her and I still hadn't officially removed the marks from her anatomy yet.

Marks of a shadow are tricky business, they are mostly invisible but the damage runs deep and she could very well bare those wounds for the rest of her life.

I'm hoping that the shadow bond between us will correct those issues over time but I may have to make more of a effort to remove them if the issues persist.

First of all who was this Sidney Salazar and what was his connection with Splendor?

If her association with Sidney was so dire to both Wastrum and Chesso, I wonder if any real good would come of it.

Perhaps I could encourage the relationship a bit more.

Yes I'll push them closer together so as to thwart whatever scheme Chesso and Wastrum were planning.

Wastrum mentioned true power and true potential.

Was she really that powerful?

I always thought it oddly peculiar how strong she was for a human, she was immune to heavy medication, immune to certain kinds of darkness, she even had a alarmingly fast recovery whenever I'd feed upon her, this included both energy and blood.

Perhaps she wasn't really human at all and if that were the case, it certainly would make sense why Chesso and Wastrum were so apprehensive.

Perhaps the real secret that they had kept from her, for her whole life was that her origin wasn't human and if they were keeping her in the dark about it then that was only as a means of control.

Wastrum had used her ignorance no doubt to manipulate her and brainwash her into believing she was nothing more than a weakling which means he's had a lot of control over the years of raising her as his own.

What a despicable individual.

This Dr. Chesso was no better.

When I materialized back into the Vicklewood Manor, I was greeted by a mysterious lady that didn't appear to be part of either the cast or crew.

"Hello Handsome.

What brings you here?

Just visiting or do you plan on staying awhile?"

The woman had tight permed waves in her shoulder length hair.

She had sleepy eyes and a exceptionally contralto voice, her lips were voluptuous, she had a pair of sassy looking hips that prominently swung in her black silk dress that had a silver buckled belt that deliciously sinched onto to her slim yet curvaceous waist.

"I'm afraid I can't stay long, I'm her for a purpose and one purpose only, I must speak with Splendor Bently".

"Aww... Splendor... she's that fun sized little moxy, she's a feisty little number, resilient too. She has Curves on her for days, She's that closeted beauty, the kind that gets locked up in a tower, she looks wholesome enough but underneath it all she's a foxy little maverick.

So yes I know of the girl.

She was last seen battling that Vampire Upstairs."

"WHAT!?"

My voice made the whole house tremble vigorously.

"Reeelax, there's no need to shout.

The battle is over and thanks to me she won.

Don't you worry big boy, I took care of her, for you.

She's safe now.

You know she's not quite as helpless as she looks.

She can handle herself."

"I must say that is a relief but how exactly were you involved?"

"Well wouldn't you like to know.

Allow me introduce myself, I am Demora, Daughter of Swerva and the present ruler of this little shit show and you are?"

"Raphael Dwindle, Son of noone, Rebel and Vigilante against all the dark despots of satan.

Pleased to make your acquaintance."

"That's quite the title. I rather like it.

You come with your own haunt as well".

"Yes unfortunately I do.

I hope to be vacating soon in the future. Now tell me how were you involved with that little shit show upstairs?"

"Oh well you see, I have this enchanted artifact, I made it myself, it's quite alive actually, anyhow she discovered it, exactly as I had planned and she made the mistake of handing that magical artifact to that vampire friend of hers.

Shimmer doesn't take kindly to strangers, so naturally it tried to escape yet mistakenly quite by accident it ran through her poor little hand.

The blood was a trigger naturally so there was a little scuffle, mostly lots of chatter, not much action to be honest which gave me enough time to help her with that little problem.

She had shimmer in her hand, she stunned him with it, prongs first of course and then she was free of him."

"Oh I'm sure it was a accident.

You stabbed her on purpose didn't you?"

"There was a purpose behind it yes.

You see I want out of this wretched place, so I had to test the waters, Jut to to see if I could trust her and now we are bound together by blood".

"Yes I'm well aware how blood bindings work.

There is no need to explain it to me.

I've been around awhile.

Now please do me the courtesy of stepping aside, Oh and by the way If you interfere like that ever again, I will have you reassigned not only to another place but to another master as well.

I have just the one for you.

Oh did I mention he's a Wastrum?"

I gave her a tight yet daring smile.

"The Wastrum line still lives?"

"Unfortunately yes it does and I corrected what your father failed to correct, many millenniums ago.

I reassigned his curse and now his shadow belongs to me.

It is the same shadow that was worn by Swerva himself.

So please don't mess with me right now".

"I had no intention of challenging you.

You must indeed be a formidable force.

If you can help me return to the free realms of my father, I promise you, I shall put in a good word for you.

I'll speak to my father on your behalf, he'd be sure to give you a prominent postion in his realm.

You'd probably like that wouldn't you?"

"Well I certainly wouldn't mind.

It would be greatly appreciated yet what do you mean by the free realms of your father?"

"The free realms were created by my Father for the purpose of establishing a society outside of Lucifer's jurisdiction.

He too is a rebel and vigilante against the great evils of satan.

He wanted a world that was free from the tyranny of demons.

I grew up in these free realms, they were my home that is until some idiot summoned me into this world.

Now normally I'd be a bit more solid but the way I was bound to this world made me materialize into a simplistic spirit form.

You seem surprised by all this.

Is this the first time hearing of the free realms?"

"Yes actually, I'd never heard of them until now.

I must say it's excellent news.

Very well, I'll help you but you better not endanger her again or that offer of reassignment still stands."

"Of course, Understood.

She's still upstairs if you want to know.

Out of curiosity what is your association with her exactly?"

"Oh wouldn't you like to know.

I'll tell you later... perhaps".

I gave her mischievous side glance before heading up the stairs.

I immediately spotted Splendor slinking out of a closet, she had a shade of shame on her face and immediately my nerves began to tingle as I caught sight of Sidney gingerly sneaking out behind her and rapidly retreating down the stairs.

I instantly snatched up her hand to examine it.

"Excuse me.

Now just what do you think you're doing?"

Splendor was indignant at my examination.

"I'm examining your injuries.

Teeth Marks. Fantastic.

Is that how you subdued him, by giving him a bit of your own blood?"

"No...I was just doing him a favor.

He was in a bit of a pinch so...I showed him a little kindness.

I've not always been that nice to him, I think I owe it to him, to give him a bit of kindness and common courtesy."

"You owe him NOTHING, Splendor!

You owe me your very life!

Have you forgotten how I've saved your life?

Do you not remember how I subdued the Wastrum line just for YOU?

I took away his power and control he had over you and I made it my own but not once have I used this new power to control you!

I made him cower before you, I made him beg and plead for mercy.

He was nothing more than a whimpering little child in my presense.

You witnessed it yourself.

Blood is a precious commodity Splendor, a commodity that not everyone can afford to have.

What puzzles me is you had quite a nasty confrontation with him yet still you give him a prize after almost endangering your life.

You are not to reward him again is that understood?"

"Yes, Dwindle, I understand.

I didn't know you would take it so hard...I mean I had no idea it would bother you so much."

She cowered her head and she wore a gaze of innocence that nearly made me second guess myself.

I instead decided not to be cross with her any longer.

So I took ahold of her wrists and swung her around so I could examine her new hair pin even though I had other intentions to have her face away from me.

"That is a lovely hair pin.

Enchanted no doubt as you are".

I whispered the last few words, making sure the words were spoken directly above her ear.

I remember how Demora had said she had curves for days and I admit I'd never really noticed until now.

So I grasped onto to her waist and I firmly pulled her closer to me.

"Oooh... Dwindle...What are you doing?"

I heard her catch her breathe, I could hear her weak attempt to disguise her excitement with scorn.

"Use your imagination, darling."

"Can we do that later perhaps?

"No, We cannot, besides I have something to discuss with you.

It's of the upmost importance that I tell you immediately.

It's about Wastrum and Dr. Chesso".

"Whaat?

Oh no, Dr. Chesso, he wasn't at the house looking for me was he?"

"No, not yet but he was curious when you'd be home.

It was a extremely interesting conversation perhaps you'd like hear more about it".

"Well yes of course. Tell me more but let's not discuss it here, we could go outside or better yet we could slip into one of these rooms".

I guided her by the waist to a

open room.

It was a gaudy bedroom, the walls were a ghastly orange and the curtains were a faded pink.

There was a rather splendid four poster bed on the west side of the room.

"I'm sorry I wasn't present during the whole ordeal with Sidney yet I overheard Wastrum and Chesso scheming over the phone, they want you to be readmitted to Morningside, Splendor but that's not all, they have been lying to you, which I know is not at all surprising yet apparently they have been lying to you for a certain purpose.

I'm not entirely sure what that purpose is exactly but it concerns your origin Splendor and they've been keeping your true identity from you, so they could better control you.

Apparently You're immensely powerful and your power is growing, they fear that if you discover who you really are, you will reach your full potential and then you'll over power them both.

They don't want you to know what you're truly capable of Splendor, otherwise you could ruin them, Chesso even said so himself that you could destroy them both which makes me wonder if you are even human at all.

I mean think about it why would they hide a human origin from you?

It just makes so much sense, your immunity to those heavy drugs, your quick recovery to my regular blood letting and then your resistance to that curse that Wastrum tried to share with you. Humans don't do that kind of thing.

Humans are weak like Wastrum.

You aren't weak in any manner.

Humans aren't capable of befriending demons and understanding them.

You understand everything I've ever said to you, you speak the same language as I do, no human has ever done that within my lifetime.

Humans aren't capable of understanding creatures like me Splendor.

Look at you now, you're wearing a cursed object as if it were your own. You just battled a vampire by calling on the aid of another demon.

Then this demon drew your very blood and found you to be pure and trustworthy. She gave you a gift that could have very well become a curse to you

You realize this isn't normal human behavior?

Demons don't just give out gifts to anyone, they present people with curses and then they relish in the fact that their victim shall suffer until the day they die or possibly for all eternity.

You understand it's been a constant frustration of mine to be in love with someone who is as unpredictable as the wind.

It's frustrated me nearly to the point of madness, how resilient and resistant you are and how you've been able to tame someone as formidable and fearsome as I am.

Yet at the same time, I don't think you understand exactly how to defend yourself.

I know you're more than capable of looking out for yourself but you still need a bit of guidance Splendor.

Another thing is Chesso was quite upset about the fact you were associating with Sidney, he said you'd discover who your true identity if you associated with the likes of him.

Then he inquired if you knew of Sidney's true identity.

I don't know how Sidney is relevant to all of this but he may be your key to discovering your true origin and to that I encourage to stay very very close to him.

Train with him, speak with him, invite him over if you must, befriend him, seduce him, if you must you may give him a occasional drop of blood here and there, just do wharever it takes for him to be on your side of the field."

"I thought feeding Sidney was out of the question".

"I over reacted but don't make it a regular thing, make it a occasional thing alright?"

"Jealous are you? Alright I won't make it a regular thing.

Oh by the way I'm spending the night here.

Mansfield thinks it's a good idea especially after the incident with this hair Pin.

He thinks my communication with Demora would be great footage for the show.

I think that's why Sidney was in such a hurry to get downstairs, he probably wants to scream at Mansfield until he goes deaf.

Mansfield was there for the big finale and he didn't interfere once, despite being in the room for quite awhile.

He's funny like that".

"Well it's not Mansfield's job to protect you anyway, it's mine.

Let me guess he recorded the whole thing while you were fighting for your life".

"Yep that's pretty much what happened. I'm not even angry at him, I'm just amused, yet he's going to be in for quite a tongue lashing and I can't say I feel very sorry for him."

"It is actually pretty amusing yet he had to have seen it coming.

Honestly he brought it on himself, sitting there filming while Sidney is Just about to go into a feeding frenzy.

Karma bites, so I suppose he'll feel the sting of his own actions soon enough."

"You know I think I might spend the night in here.

It's kind of cozy".

"Cozy? That's what you think this is.

It's absolutely hideous.

The color alone is a migraine just waiting to happen.

Strange I can almost feel one coming on".

"Perhaps you need to lie down and rest."

She rather goofily fell back on the bed.

"I believe that is a invitation... I think."

"You know I've noticed you've gotten a bit more silver hair in the back. I like it though. I think it suits you".

I settled down beside her, leisurely I supported myself on my side by my left elbow.

"More grey hair, really?

How peculiar.

I didn't have that many when you first arrived did I?"

"Your hair was darker than sin when I first came.

I suppose I'm to blame for that."

"Why do you say that?"

I brushed my fingers across the silky surface of her skin, I caressed her face with my palm and I dipped my lips into her own.

"Well I suppose it has something to do with me donating a little of my blood to you.

It must have changed you in someway."

I drew her to me, she was oh so close, so near to me, her chest pinned to my own which gave her very little room for any kind of movement, yet the warmth of her body felt so delicious to me.

The icy chill of my soul seemed to thaw with every beat of her heart; her heart struck my chest like a hammer and my own heart felt as if it had been soaked in sunshine.

However I felt no resistance, no sign of struggling, there wasn't even a tiny bit of reluctance, I felt acceptance and contentment emanating from her aura.

I held slid my hands around her waist once more, expertly I disctracted her from my wandering hands by kissing her face and eventually her neck as well; my arms drifted past her waist, I cupped her thighs in my hands, vigorously I embraced her buttocks.

I grasped onto to her hungrily as if I intended to take possession of her.

She convulsed slightly, omitted a gasp while she weakly attempted to shove herself away from me.

"No...not...not...not here.

Someone could come in here.

It's not safe.

Imagine if Sidney came in here, Or even Mansfield.

Oh I'd die of embarrassment.

How would I explain this to them?"

"Simple you don't have to.

I'll provide protection".

I struck out my hand towards the door and the handle twisted a few times, back and forth, very briefly until there was a satisfying metallic snap, that clearly indicated that the door was locked.

"Well that's a neat little trick but I do have work to do you know."

"Oh you mean work that would take you downstairs with the rest of the crew?"

"Yes, that work.

I shouldn't keep them waiting.

I'll need to go...soon".

"They can wait, a little bit longer. Right now I have a job for you."

"Oh really and just what would that be exactly?"

She was amused by this.

"Giving me more gray hairs of course.

I do hope you reserved a little for me.

You didn't give that wannabe Lawyer too much now did you?"

"No there's more than enough to go around, I mean there's more than enough for you."

"That's my girl.

You reserve more for me don't you?

You'll promise to give me more than that drama queen downstairs won't you?"

"Yes, I promise.

You know you're making me a bit nervous.

I do hope you're not planning to go over board or anything".

"Oh don't worry, you'll recover if I were to take too much.

You always do and now you have that pin which may even grant you even more resilience and it may even speed up your recovery rate.

So just relax, no one is coming in, it's just you and me right now.

Savor the moment, drink in all these beautiful sensations, dive into this ecstasy I am creating for you, try not to think about it, just let all those worries go and just allow yourself to be lost in this experience.

It's only one bite, no pain, just one firm squeeze and one blissful release.

We can go slow at first if you want or we can make things interesting by speeding up the process.

The choice is up to you.

How do you want me drain you darling?"

"I guess slow and then full speed ahead... I think.

I don't know.

What do you want to do?"

"Oh I wouldn't want to drag it out too long, that would be cruel, so I'll give you a little bit of both, slow at first then I'll pick up the pace...later"

"How fast were you intending to go exactly?"

She wore a nervous frown.

"Fast enough.

Stop overthinking it, Over thinking will only serve to slow down your heart and I've already worked so hard to bring that pretty little heart alive. The blood is alive with new life, let's not stop the flow just yet.

I can almost taste the sweetness of you flowing into me.

Flow for me, darling Splendor.

Flow for me.

Bless me with your sweet sustenance."

I tilted her head to the side, so to expose her neck and I dug my teeth into her skin, the taste was of rosehips, the warmth of her blood, made my tongue tingle like the sultry taste of champagne.

Then there was a rush of sweetness without a hint of bitterness this time, there was a thick flavor that clung to my throat like agave syrup.

The taste of her awoke my hunger, so mistakedly I dove my teeth in further and quaffed the golden honey of her blood which sent a new gush of life into my throat.

This time the blood came in more copious amounts, the stream was far thicker and it was streaming in far swifter than before.

I felt immediately as if I was bathing in pure gold, the gold wasn't just warming me this time, it was boiling me alive.

I immediately had to withdraw because the golden sensation that was overtaking me was making me very sleepy.

It wasn't in my nature to feel tired but this new form of lethargy was unmistakable.

I had to stop, I had had my fill, I was content, I just hoped I hadn't gone over board.

I immediately let her go as I noticed a familiar figure was watching us.

Demora stood there her sleepy eyes were wide awake, raised and ready to absorb all she saw.

I kept awaiting her disgust.

I anticipated her disappointment.

I was greatly dreading her anger but instead she only smiled as if what she saw was pleasing to her somehow.

I, of course said nothing of her presence to Splendor so as to spare her of any sort of embarrassment.

I used my knee to place me back on my feet.

"You can go, your job is finished.

You are Finished.

Go be free, you know carry on, Leave."

The iciness in my voice I could tell confused her.

"Did I do something wrong?

You seem agitated.

I didn't upset you did I?"

Her voice was tearful and quivery like that of a child just about to burst into tears.

"No. I'm finished, I'm done with you, I've had my fill, now I have no need of you.

Go or I you will see me agitated.

Is that understood?"

The innocent panic faded and was subtly replaced with a passionate contempt for me.

"Oh I see how it is.

I'm just a toy to you, just another play thing, a mere object of desire you can manipulate, seduce and use for your own lustful appetites.

Is that what I am to you, just a piece of meat?

Cause if that's the case, then I will leave, just don't be surprised when I'm not around.

If you should come looking for me, I'll be... somewhere downstairs.

Good luck finding me".

She left me and I felt a painful twinge in my chest, a fresh rush of agony, shot through me.

I felt like somebody had ripped the bindings off an open wound, it burned and throbbed miserably.

I could hardly stand because the flaming sensation became a icy flume emerged and it electrified my entire body.

What was this pain?

Was this love or was it just empathy?

"Suffering are you?

How amusing.

Look big boy, what you are experiencing right now is called empathy.

That stabbing pain isn't a heart attack coming on, its her heart you are feeling.

You are feeling her pain right now.

Now you can stay here and suffer like the pathetic human you so fervently fight against or you can stand up on your feet and face her like the hero you crave so much to become.

Don't wallow in your suffering, You aren't a dog but SHAME ON YOU for treating her like one!

She gave you her heart, all you could do is dismiss her like some common whore.

Apologize to her at once!".

Demora Stood there, her arms crossed, her form was more solid and less faded and transparent.

"You think I'm one that's going to take orders from you.

I have the shadow, the book and Wastrum all at my fingertips.

I have the power and what do you have?

You have nothing but a Hair pin, a ghastly mansion and a jumbled up child that claims she can be of help to you."

"Yes the same child who stole your heart and is running off with it as we speak.

May I remind you, that this jumbled child you speak of has survived every torturous obstacle she has faced including you, she tamed you, she melted that ice block you called a heart, she gave you a new purpose, her blood has redeemed you, her kindness has purified you, yet you send her away as if she were just a mere house slave.

She's given you everything the least you can do is apologize".

I wanted to scream at her but the pain in my chest was too great for me to even raise my voice in any fashion.

"You... are...right.

I shouldn't have treated her that way.

I can't say why I did that.

It just came out.

I honestly didn't mean to hurt her.

I guess you could say I'm just not used to falling in love and being loved in return.

It's a strange experience for me.

I was taught all my life that I was destined to be hated, I was told that my only purpose in life was to be hated by everyone.

Old habits die hard".

"Well you better kill those old habits or you are going to lose her.

She's already downstairs as we speak creating a new life for herself, you better make sure you're in this new life of her's."

"Then she'd be breaking her promise with me yet I see what you mean.

I don't want there to be a rift between us.

I will apologize...later... after she's done with her work."

"I'd prefer you to do that now but under the circumstances yes I think it would be best for you to wait, in the meantime I'll be keeping an eye on you, I'll be an ever watchful eye on both of you.

Don't think I won't know, I know everything that goes on here.

So if you slip up or fail in any way to make amends with her, I'll be sure to know about it.

Do the right thing Dwindle and stop falling into old habits, you'll only lose her if you go back to the way things were before.

She's changed for you, now are you willing to change for her?"

"Yes of course I am.

I'm just not sure what I'm changing into."

"You'll find out eventually.

Protect her Dwindle, she's special, she's a pure soul unfortunately her innocence still can be corrupted.

Her mind is clouded in ignorance which means she not only has no idea what she is capable of but she has no idea whats coming next, she can hardly see the danger now and without knowing how to use these special abilities she will have no way to defend herself.

Teach her Dwindle and defend her when she is in danger.

I can feel the oncoming danger right now as we speak.

Watch her like a Hawk, Dwindle.

She needs a hunky body guard like you".

She smirked and then slunk towards the exit.

"Well I wish I could stick around but I do have a bit of trouble that needs sorting out.

It's extremely important, It regards her safety.

There is a old enemy of her's that needs to be taken care of and I'd rather take care of it sooner than later. You understand of course.

You will keep an eye on her while I'm gone won't you?"

"She'll be in good hands, don't you worry.

Oh I hope you know that Splendor is to be my new Mistress from now on in.

I am bound to her by blood so I have no choice to follow her wherever she goes.

I must serve her and obey whatever she commands of me.

I do hope that doesn't bother you".

"No, not at the moment.

Perhaps we can work together and find some sort of harmony with eachother.

It will all work out I'm sure until then keep her safe for me, oh and keep that vampire in line won't you.

He's a tricky one but don't separate than in any way.

I want them nice and close, just make sure neither of them go over board."

"Certainly.

Any particular reason you don't want them apart?"

"He is the key to her uncovering the truth of her origin. I haven't figured out how but I know he is important to her in some way.

Don't let him out of your sight.

Be careful though, he bites".

"I'm well aware of that big boy.

I'll look after them both while you're gone.

Oh yes I have teeth of my own by the way, I can defend myself.

Don't stay away too long".

She smiled coyly as she left.

Next Stop: Dr. Chesso.

He was sure to think twice the next time he went looking for her.

I had to let him know I was in charge.

I had to inform him of my existence and of my eternal presense.

I'd make it very clear to him that no matter what he did, I'd be watching him and I'd be right by her side, protecting her and defending her.

Yes Chesso, You and Wastrum both will have to go through me if you want to get to her.

Good luck with that cause I'm practically invincible and immortal by nature.

If you fight me you'll be fighting a losing battle, one that will always be lost on your side of the Battlefield.

Oh this going to be fun to watch...haha.
