(Chapter 1: Welcome to Trolberg)

"Do we believe in magic? Maybe. Could it be good or evil, yan and yang? Perhaps. They are one and the same, but can they be balanced to one another?"

The Wasteland (Formerly Known as Australia)

The scene opens to a vast wind-tossed wasteland of rock and sand that stretches as far as the eye could see. On a flat hill overlooking the expanse of nothingness, was a girl. Alyssa's eyes opened as she blinked into existence. As she observed her surroundings, she stood still like a statue unmoved as her feet touched on the not solid but scorched earth ground with many cracks covered in sand.

In 2023,

The world, all its nations, countries and regions have turned against each other, destroying the very existence of mankind what's left of it now.

It was damaged by a series of international conflicts; much of the planet has become radioactive wastelands, deserts and so populations have aggregated in enormous conurbations known as 'mega-cities'.

It was long after the collapse of western civilisation and prevails thereafter, as unforgiving and relentless as ever.

Yet despite the world becoming a total apocalypse caused by the nuclear war over oil resources. The ancient millennia war between the Assassins and Templars is still ongoing while their allies support them.

As Alyssa kept standing there still, staring at the vast emptiness as if she was waiting for a sign or perhaps even an end to her madness. She wondered who was crazier, her or everyone else? She adored in a red pinkish tunic dress, behind her back is a light red hooded cape with a gold medallion that holds it closed, her hands has on a pair of gary fingerless gloves, a rosewood handkerchief around her neck, tan pants for her legs, on her feet were black boots

Though her outfit is battle damaged, all torn up with cuts, holes and tears exposing less of her skin and scar tissue out in the open. On her arms, she wore two hidden blades on her posterior forearms instead of below the wrists.

Both of those iconic weapons belong to her family.

One belongs to her turncoat ancestor, the other belongs to her late mother.

Behind the girl was her prized possession, her car, the Dark Reaper. The car may look like a replica of Shadow the Hedgehog's. However it has two front row seats.

In this world of madness, only the strong, ruthless, or deranged can survive, the weak must be purged.

Few days ago, she went on a rescue mission to free an Assassin, who somehow got captured at the hands of Scrotus and his lapdog Stank-gum. They held him captive in an abandoned prison, where their men interrogated him using torture techniques in order to extract information out of him, regarding the Assassin Order's Bureaus across the globe hidden amongst the mega cities, supply trafficking routes.

Without a doubt, both the warlord and his lapdog have been hired as mercenaries for the Children of the Ancient Order. They must've reached out to them and are willing to buy oil for their services.

Alyssa had managed to break into the jail, kill as many War Boys, who stood in her way and spring the Assassin out of his cage.

She was lucky to get there in time, but she made her own luck.

Though before breaking the Assassin out, she went to the basement of the kitchen where she found something gruesome and unimaginable that made her blood boil.

Dead bodies of headless children in a massive pile rotten and decay. She'd averaged the children that were presumably killed by the War Boys.

She could hear the voices clawing at the back of her mind. The children were happy to live in peace but few haunted her the ones she failed to save years ago.

Her blade was the tool of vengeance against all evil. It never sleeps but good always be triumphant.

Hearing a howling, she finally made a moment her head turned to her car to see her pet timberwolf, Gray Ghost riding shotgun.

Alyssa was pleased to have one of her loyal allies with her.

Deciding it was time to go, she turned around and headed towards the car. As she walked back to the vehicle she briefly thought about peace. It had been some time since she had it before, it faded away. It didn't matter now anymore.

Stepping inside the car. Alyssa primed the engine and Gray Ghost sat at her side. Alyssa stomped on the gas and sped off down the dirt road towards the horizon.

On the road ahead. Alyssa saw a mutated deer, she wasn't going fast enough to kill it, so she swerved out of the way and continued to head straight. The car bumped and bounced violently as the suspension took a beating from the rocky slope. She stomped on the breaks trying to halt the vehicle but they only screeched like a banshee. At that moment a strange lightning happened to spark in the sky and as fate would have it a bolt struck the car as it was about to hit a tree. She and her pet passed out when she felt the impact and heard the thunderous boom around them.

Hearing the sound of a songbird chirping happily outside the car. Alyssa shook her head as she groggily woke herself. She hauled himself up to the steering wheel and shook her head. She glanced over to her wolf and saw that she was just fine. Alyssa then took a look at the environment around her and to her surprise the area around her was green.

Trees, bushes, flowers and grass It was all here.

She and her pet found themselves in a forest, they are not so familiar with, and it was the middle of day.

Alyssa shook her head again trying to see if her mind was playing tricks on her, but it wasn't.

Stepping out of the car. "Stay here, girl." Alyssa ordered her farry companion and the car's door closed.

She speaks English with an Irish accent.

He then strolls over and climbs up in one of the nearby trees, to see if she can spot civilization. Once climbing to the top of the tree's long branch, she spotted a large city a couple of miles away surrounded by a large wall, regardless she knew it was best to head there instead of spending the night in the woods not like she needed to.

She climbs down off the tree, Alyssa returns in her vehicle to turn the ignition key and start the Dark Reaper, causing the engine to roar to life. She inspected the petrol gauge and saw that the tank was still full.

Looking straight there was a clear road through the woods ahead of her. Alyssa stomped on the gas pedal and blasted off down to it. She then began to go to the location of the city she seen earlier.

Nine minutes later…

As she made her way to the destination of the city she'd stop near in front of the wall's gate entrance made out of hard iron. There was a wooden sign outside beside the entrance that said.

'Welcome to Trolberg.' Alyssa read it within her thoughts. 'What a strange, odd name for a city. I've heard of, stupid.'

Not knowing the place, or heard of it perhaps this was new to her. She drove forward toward the gate and entered, which opened by itself with its keeper.

Parking at an empty space near a convenience store. Alyssa turns off the engine and exits out of the car, ordering her furry friend to stay and guard it if someone tries to steal it.

Alyssa decided it was time to walk in this new found city with her booted feet. As she wandered around the city. The people around her outside during the night seemed to give her strange glances. She paid no mind to them and continued to wander.

The Reaper of Ireland wordlessly went about her business, walking past a few businessmen and women who seemed more focused on their work day-to-day. She received a few stares, which she simply ignored.

What really caught her attention was a little girl with pink hair fell off her tricycle with a scratch on her right cheek, she was starting to cry out tears of pain. That's when her parents came into the scene and helped her up.

Seeing this scene reminded of her family, who were presumed dead. The death of her mother and father was unfortunate. Alyssa can clearly remember on that day. The day they were both killed by a pack of bears that broke into her old home and mauled them to death while they screamed; she can still hear them when she sleeps.

She butchered the wild animals apart limb by limb, in fury avenged her parents and later on buried them outside of the yard before burning the house down. She vows to never return home but to visit her family's graves and give them flowers.

"I will come to heaven and see you both. I promise." Alyssa quietly muttered.

Suddenly, she felt her stomach rumble loudly.

'Grant I'm hungry, I haven't eaten anythin' at all for three weeks due to my goddess powers. oh well, I should search for a restaurant somewhere.'

Alyssa immediately turned around to walk off and began to search for a food place but when she wasn't paying attention, a woman accidentally bumped into her causing her to drop a few grocery bags she was carrying and trip backwards. Alyssa looked down to see the adult woman with brown hair, black eyes, wearing a yellow jacket and a maroon turtleneck sweater underneath, dark red pants and white shoes.

"Are ya okay?" Alyssa asked, mentally apologizing to her for not looking as she went over to help the woman stand her feet.

"Oh, don't worry about it young lady, no harm done." The woman reassured her, she's been through worse.

"I see." Alyssa crouched down and picked up her groceries. "Here are your groceries." She hands them over. "Now then I get going."

"Wait, before you go, what's your name?" The woman asked politely.

Alyssa hesitated, but she introduced herself. "It's… Alyssa."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Johanna. Are you new in town? I haven't seen you around before."

"Well it's a big town, there's still plenty of people I haven't met yet, you for example." Alyssa replied.

"Why are you from?" Johanna questioned curiously.

"I'm from Ireland." Alyssa answered.

She paused with a blink and looked at her curiosity "I'm sorry Ireland?"

"Is a country from where I'm from and my birthplace. Ya never heard of it?" Alyssa questioned.

Johanna shook her head. "Um Never heard of it."

This took her by surprise as her eyes widened in shock. 'She never heard of Ireland?!'

"Uh, okay, what about the United States of America or England?" Alyssa asked.

"Never heard of those either." Johanna said.

Alyssa was once again surprised by her response. How is it possible?! Everyone knows about the other countries besides her own. Perhaps there are some people like newcomers who don't know of them because they didn't search for them on the internet or learn from them of rumors. Maybe so unless…

She begins to realize the lightning bolt struck her car from earlier must have transported both her and her furry friend to another world in other words to an ultimate dimension.

It was so obvious! How could she be stupid?! She should've realized this sooner than she would have expected! But is it possible? She needs to confirm this suspicion.

"Um… I should get goin', forget what I said that I told ya from before." Alyssa told her. coach.

"Alright? Well anyway it was nice meeting you, Alyssa take care." Johanna said.

"See ya." Alyssa went past her and immediately walked away leaving the woman in private thoughts.

Johanna had managed to get back home and put away all of the groceries. She then sat down at her desk with some tea and began working on her job which was graphic designing. While she was working she couldn't help but think about that girl she bumped into earlier.

Alyssa, she seemed like a nice young girl, but something about her doesn't seem to add up despite being new to town. Two things that really caught her attention was the medallion with a strange symbol, it looked as if she was part of a secret group of society or something else. The other was her scar tissue.

Johanna was snapped out of her thoughts when the front door opened and closed as her daughter walked into the room.

Johanna smiled and turned to her daughter. "Hey Hilda, how did it go? Did you earn any new badges today?"

Hilda, the young seeking adventurer girl. She has teal blue hair with a black beret on her head wearing a Sparrow Scouts uniform.

"Yeah me, Frida and David earned our artist activity badges, see." Hilda confirmed showing her mom the new badge.

"That's great Hilda, soon you'll earn as many badges as I did." Johanna replied in a proud tone.

"What about you mum, what did you do today?" Hilda asked.

"Oh nothing too interesting, went to town, brought groceries and met someone new today." Johanna takes a sip of her tea.

Hilda started to grasp. "Mum, do you have a boyfriend now?"

Johanna spat out her tea at her daughter's declaration but it missed her. "What!? No! Of course not! What I meant was that I had a small talk with a young girl. I accidentally bumped into and she helped pick up my groceries."

"Sorry Mum, I didn't mean to jump to that." Hilda apologized.

"It's quite all right Hilda." Johanna accepted her apology.

"So what was this girl's name?" Hilda continued to question.

"If I remember correctly, her name is Alyssa. She is a really nice young girl." Johanna revealed.

"Is she new to Trolberg?"

"Yes. She said from a country known as Ireland but I don't know what that is."

"Ireland? Can't say I heard of it. What did she look like?"

Johanna began. "Well she's very young. I got to say she is about eight or eleven years old. She has long red hair, but the most noticeable things about her. She has a gold medallion with an odd insignia and scars on her upper body showing out of the holes and tears of her outfit. It's most likely she got attacked by animals or something else."

"Maybe she likes to explore the wilderness like I do sometimes, I might like to meet her if that's the case." Hilda seems interested in the individual.

"Well it's a big town so I am sure you might run into her eventually, now Hilda if you don't mind I need to get back to work." Johanna said.

"Alright mum I'll just be in my room." Hilda replied.

-Meanwhile

Two officers, male and female, carefully tried to approach the small kid size vehicle to give it a ticket to the windshield only to be met with growls of warning from the timberwolf.

"It seems we can't get close otherwise that wolf will bite our hands off." The first officer said, while Gray Ghost was still snarling at them.

"Think we should go somewhere else?" The second officer responded.

The first officer shook his head. "No, I'm not leaving until this car gets a ticket or it's off to the impound lock."

"What are ya doin'?" Both officers turned to see Alyssa approaching them, carrying a bag full of breakfast sandwiches. "And why are ya tryin' to place a ticket on my car?"

One of them cleared their throat. "Ma'am, your car has parked here illegally. I'm afraid that I'm gonna have to ask you to move it or we tow it."

"I don't see a no parking sign when I park here." Alyssa said.

"While it is true that there's no parking sign, regardless, you still need to move your vehicle or we will be forced to put it inside the impound lock while your canine companion goes to the pound." The second warned.

"I park whatever I please!" Alyssa felt her patience wither quickly. Suddenly, the air was turning hot and cold around her and the officers and people around her were starting to feel the heat and chill.

Her eyes and hair started to glow red; it was enough to make the officers gulp as she glared at them directly and spoke in a strict yet warning tone. "The last person 'who told me to move me car somewhere else', I had to rip his head off and shove it down to the sewer. So, unless you want to get your bones all crushed or dislocated, take your ticket patrol somewhere else. Got it?"

"Y… Yes! Come on, partner! Let's go somewhere else!" The first officer backed away.

"Way ahead of you!" The second officer looks almost terrified by the reaction of her face. They quickly turned around and ran away from her.

Alyssa calmed down, the air returned back to normal the way it was in her hair and eyes, no longer glowing. Looking towards Gray Ghost, the Reaper sees the wolf staring at her owner as if she doesn't look afraid of her murderous aura.

Gray Ghost stopped growling a moment ago and tilted her head curiously at her master. Alyssa scrolled up and scratched her gently behind the ears and head, making her pant happily.

Alyssa silently chuckled and smirked but it ended when she frowned and put back her angry face.

"All right, girl, time to be on our way. I also bought some breakfast for us."

She hopped into the driver's seat, set the bag of breakfast aside, and started the engine. She put the Dark Reaper in gear and took off down the road, with a little stowaway on board.

Digging into the bag while eyes focused on the road. She took out a sausage burger. Alyssa gave it to her pet which she took and ate it.

She then reaches for her glove department to open and pull out a radio attempting to contact one of her allies.

"Alpha Eagle to Falcon Charlie do yer copy over?"

There was complete static of the other side of the call.

"Nothing." She switched to different channels but the same result was no response to any of them.

"Yep, we're definitely in another world." Her suspicions were confirmed.

She puts away the radio back inside the glove department. She reaches down to the bag of food again and pulls out a breakfast sandwich and bites before chewing with her mouth closed on a small piece.

Driving in the car with one hand. Alyssa began to sigh through her nose before shrugging. 'Oh well, it's not like I'll miss it there. Though I'll find a way to get back to my world as soon as possible if I'll find a way. In the meantime, I should stay here for the time being, but first I must find a base. The question is where can I find one?'

To be continued.

Codex- The Children of The Ancient Order formerly known as the Order of the Cross.

They were the first precursor group before the Templar Order formerly known as The Order of the Ancients, whom they shared many general beliefs: namely that humans are naturally willing to peace and order, and that mayhem and violence must be enforced in society by the strongest and wisest members of society.

They were born since its founding by the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten around in 1335 BCE, the Children of the Ancient Order preached a doctrine that celebrated humanity's creators, the Isu, as an inherently superior race. Mankind could only achieve its full potential by emulating our progenitors and adopting their culture, ideals, and technology.

Isu worship was fundamental to the Children Order's existence. Humans who took an anthropomorphic view of reality, or those who preached the Isu and human culture, were seen as sinful and pagan. The Children Order's ultimate true goal in secret is to deliver chaos and anarchy to humanity while aiding the Templar Order to recreate Isu societies on earth.
