The Gilmore Girls were reading in the living room. Lorelai glances out the window. She jumped up when she saw the post vehicle. "Mail!"

"Mail!" The girls jumped up.

"Here's the mail, it never fails. It makes me want to wag my tail. When it comes I want to wail, Mail!" Anna sang as she ran to the door.

"Wait! Put on your shoes!" Lorelai stopped them from leaving.

"Fine." She pouts, putting them on.

"I'll get 'em later," Rory told her.

"No, get 'em now." She pushed her towards her room.

"Why?" She whines.

"Why? Because if your acceptance letter is in that batch of mail and you do not have shoes on, we can't run off immediately and celebrate. All of our happiness will be on hold until you come back inside and put on your shoes. Is that what you want, to put a hold on happiness?" She crosses her arms.

"What's the difference if we wait then or we wait now?" Rory didn't want to put on her shoes if she didn't need to.

"Because we are not happy now." She reasoned.

"And we have to wait for the mailman anyways." Yesterday, they gave the man a fright when they charged at him.

"Right, okay." She runs to her bedroom.

"No laces, just get 'em on your feet." She yelled.

A minute passed before she ran out. "Let's go!" She led the path to the front door. They run outside to the mailbox. Kirk is going through his mailbag.

"Kirk!" They shouted.

"Good morning, ladies." He digs through his bag.

"Is there an envelope in there?" Rory asks.

"A big envelope, not a little envelope." Anna took a peek into the bag.

"Yeah, a big envelope means they're in, a little envelope means they need to marry rich." Lorelai nods.

"Just one second, please." He continued to take out letters to put them back in the bag when he saw it wasn't for them.

"Aren't you supposed to go through the mail before you get here?" Rory watches him.

"Some work that way. I think it takes the spontaneity out of the job." He hummed while he worked.

"Need some help?" Lorelai offers.

"Sorry, federal law prohibits it." He shook his head.

"Well, can you at least look at the big envelopes first?" She saw a few in the bag.

"I work from the front to the back." He pointed to the front of the bag where all the small envelopes were.

"Any chance you could go faster?" Rory had been waiting years for this moment.

"Yeah, you got a girl's future in that sack of yours…Santa." She added when she realized how that sounded.

"Thank you for adding Santa." Rory was worried there for a second.

"Yeah, things were about to be a bad porno." Anna grimaces.

"Any time." She wouldn't want an awkward moment with Kirk.

"You know what I've noticed?" He points an envelope at them.

"There wouldn't be any mail in there with our names on it, would it?" Lorelai thought of the only thing she needed from him.

"I've noticed people don't slow down anymore." He looks at the address before putting the envelope back in the bag.

"Guess I've got time to tie my shoes." She bent down to do that.

"Yes, well, cobble yourself a new pair, Daniel Day-Lewis." She huffs.

"No one stops to smell a nice flower or look at a puppy." Kirk noticed that everyone seems to be in a hurry. At all his jobs people rush him, even when they had nothing to do.

"Everyone stops to look at a puppy." Anna disagrees.

Kirk pulls a large envelope out of the mailbag making the girl's eyes widen. "No one stops to ask how you're doing. . .is your family well, did you see that game last night?"

"Yeah, yeah, people suck. Is that ours?" She reached for it.

"What? Oh." He checks the envelope. "Mrs. Rita Flora. Nope." He put it back in the bag.

"Rats." She sighs.

"It could still be in there." Lorelai tried to lift their spirits.

"Rita Flora, didn't she die?" Kirk thought about the elderly woman.

"While you were delivering her mail?" Lorelai put a hand on her hip.

"She did die. She died last week." He ignores them calling his name to go on with his point. "They're supposed to put your mail on hold when you die."

"Okay, let's go back inside." Lorelai looks over her shoulder at the house.

"What about the envelope?" Rory stares at the mailbag.

"We'll check back on our way to Luke's. . .for dinner." She yelled the last part.

"You realize you're not going to be done with this job until tomorrow if you continue like this," Anna told him before following her family.

"Hey, one for Kirk." He opens the one for him.

Lorelai, Rory, Anna, and Lane are sitting at a table in Lukes. Lane is tapping her drumsticks on a jar. "It's getting frustrating. I mean, there are so many great songs that have been written post-Cobain, but try and convince Zach of that. I mean, he's impossible, stubborn, and just a tad intellectually challenged, in case you haven't noticed."

"Lane, honey?" Lorelai put her arm out to stop her. "Just, could you, with the sticks there, I can't. . ."

"Oh, sorry. Nervous habit." She put her drumsticks off to the side.

"Mom's a little crabby this morning," Rory told her.

"I'm not crabby, I'm very, very ill." She smiles weakly.

"With allergies." Rory laughs.

"I told you to take your pill every day and you wouldn't have to worry." Anna, who inherited her allergy, took hers every day. It was part of her morning routine.

"Deadly allergies." She corrects.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to minimize your condition. Should we make funeral arrangements?" She teased.

"Yes." She pulls some medicine out of her purse. "But make sure you can get your money back in case this stuff works."

"Did you take those from my room? I'm going to need to make a stop." She only had a few pills left.

"Nope, I found 'em in Rory's room." She nodded to her oldest.

"These expired in '98." Rory gasps in horror that she was going to take them.

"So, what, I should take four?" She looks at them.

"Yes, that's exactly my point." She rolls her eyes.

Luke walks over and sets some menus on the table. "Here."

"Oh, the new menus came in." Anna looks at the new menu she helped design.

"Very fancy." Lane sings.

"Why'd you get new menus?" Lorelai glares.

"It was time." He shrugs.

"But I had made little doodles with my name hidden in them on each of the old ones just like Hirschfeld." She had worked hard to doodle on them when Luke wasn't looking.

"Exactly, why we had to get new menus." She was able to convince Luke because of the drawings.

"It took me years to hit every menu. And these have super heavy plastic over them. How am I gonna doodle?" She felt the thick lamination.

"Has it ever occurred to you that the super heavy plastic is there to discourage doodling?" He didn't want doodling on the new menu he paid good money for.

"Hey, this looks different." Rory opened it to the first page.

"It's not different." Luke disagrees.

"It's different." Lane opens hers.

"It's just more." Anna shrugs.

"There are more salads." Lorelai gags.

"Three more salads." Rory counted.

"Three more salads, who needs three more salads?" She looks up horrified by the healthy food.

"I got to pick one. Caprese salad. There are cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, basil, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and dried oregano." She listed.

"What have you done to my child? She never talked health before." Lorelai turned an accusing stare at him.

"Well, Nicole said…" Luke defends his choice.

"Nicole said." Lorelai mocks.

"There wasn't much for her to eat on the menu, so I just. . ." He figured there was nothing wrong with aiming for a more healthy crowd.

"Oh, you added three more salads for Nicole. But, when I asked you to add chili-topped Pringles, you said no." She let out a bitter chuckle.

"And I stand by that." He thought that was next-level disgusting.

"How come Nicole gets three salads and I still get a no?" She pouts.

"Because Nicole is his girlfriend and someone is jealous." Anna sang. Her mother pinches her side making her yip.

"Nicole is not my girlfriend, Nicole is the woman that I am dating, that's it." Luke felt like he was too old for the word girlfriend.

"So what happens when you guys get serious, the whole place goes soy?" She wouldn't eat a soy burger. She refused.

"We would be Mrs. Kim's new spot." Anna gasps at seeing her interact with Luke daily.

"Just order, please." He looks down at the order pad.

"Did you take off the Monte Cristo sandwich?" Lane noticed.

"Well, I…" He was interrupted by Rory yelling.

"No!" She shouted. Anna rolled her eyes, her mother and sister needed to get used to change because when she took over this place there were going to be a lot of changes. Starting with the paint and decorations.

"You did, you took off the Monte Cristo sandwich." Lorelai looks at the sandwich part of the menu.

"I omitted a few obsolete dishes." He sighs.

"I can't believe Nicole made you take off the Monte Cristo. She's got you menu-whipped." Lorelai shook her head.

"She does not have me menu-whipped. I took off a disgusting ridiculous sandwich that no one has ever ordered, including the three of you." He looks at the protesters. Anna sighs, not knowing why he fell for it every time.

"But just having it there made us feel like we always could." Rory pouts.

"It was comforting." Lorelai rubs her heart.

"Like soup." She whines.

"Exactly. It was comforting like deep-fried ham and cheese soup." She nods.

"And even though I never ordered it, I talked about ordering it, didn't I?" Rory looks around the table.

"On several occasions." Lane backs her up.

"So you've not only eliminated a sandwich, you've eliminated a conversation piece." Lorelai looks up at Luke.

"Now, what will we talk about?" Rory sighes.

"Fine." Luke walks to the counter and returns with some old menus. "Here. Old menus, everything's there. Knock yourselves out."

"How come everybody else gets a new menu?" She picks up the old menu by the corner like a used tissue. Luke stomped away. "I feel much better now." She smiled mischiefly at the teens.

Rory and Anna walk into the Inn to make their way towards the kitchen. Rory had been ranting about Paris since the bus stop in Hartford. "She has to make everything into a hostile event. It's a speech, not a wrestling match. She likes to forget that she wouldn't be student body president if it wasn't for me and she thinks she can beat me in a speech." Paris had challenged Rory to a speech contest.

"I know, speech is about delivery and she only has two tones: robot voice and aggressions," Anna remembered the point that was coming next. She didn't think Rory realized that her rant was going in circles and this was the third lap.

"Exactly, Paris is going to drive me completely insane." She opened the door to the kitchen.

"Ooh, that looks good." They reach for a plate of food.

"No!" The entire kitchen staff shouted, making the teens jump back.

"Woah!" Anna put a hand over her speeding heart.

"Be happy you're loved, hon. I got a Kit Kat in my purse." She guided Rory to the lobby.

Anna stayed in the kitchen. "What's up?"

"Sookie's taste buds have been off," Manuel told her.

"What, impossible." She took a bite of food to drop the fork. "Ew." She grabbed an ice tea that he passed her. "Sorry." She apologizes to Sookie who looks ready to cry.

"I don't know what's wrong." She sat down on a stool.

"My taste buds were off when I was pregnant. I thought raw onions and whip cream was a good combination." Louella stated.

"Pregnant." She pulled a test out of her purse that was under the counter and ran to the bathroom.

"She just had a test on hand." Anna realizes that Sookie and Jackson must have been trying. She shivered when she got a mental image.

She waited outside the bathroom. "So?" She watches Sookie come out with tears in her eyes.

"I'm pregnant." She hugged her. "I have to tell your mom." She pulled her along to the lobby.

Lorelai ran over when she saw them coming. "You're pregnant!"

"I'm pregnant!" They screamed and jumped around. "Oh my God, I'm pregnant!"

"You're pregnant?" Rory joined the jumping.

"She's pregnant!" Anna cheered.

Richard was leading Lorelai into the living room where her daughters were waiting. "Here is Rory and Anna" He points to them.

"Thanks, I wouldn't have recognized her. Hi, hon." She sat down between them.

"Hi. Did you hear about the strokes?" Rory couldn't believe three of Emily's friends had a stroke in one week.

"Yes, stay away from whiskey and the DAR." She nods.

"Your mother would make you throw that out." He pointed at her coffee cup.

"How about I exchange it for a martini?" She held it out.

"Ah, coming up." He grabbed it and went to the bartending cart. The phone rings. "Oh, good I'm expecting an important call. This could be it."

"Uh, Dad, if the maid is busy with dinner and the second one's out and Mom's at the hospital. . . you know." She hinted.

"Oh, right, right. I'll get it!" He runs out of the room.

"Alone at last. Have I got something to tell you?" She got up to make her drink.

"What?" Anna asked.

"Or maybe you guys have something to tell me." She turned to them.

"Don't do that, I have nothing." Rory hated when she made her guess.

"Or are you minimizing what you know? Maybe you should maximize it." She emphasized the max.

"What's going on?" Anna squints.

"Maximize it." She sat down.

"We're maximumly confused." Rory shrugged at her sister who was looking at her.

"I ran into Max." She told them.

"Medina?" Rory asks.

"At the pharmacy. Did you know he was back?" She wished she had a warning.

"No. He was, like, on loan somewhere." She shrugs.

"Yeah, at Stanford. But he's back now, for a little while at least, and I am happy to report that either he's forgiven me for treating him so badly or it wasn't that bad and I just built it up worse in my head." She thought it would be more painful but it was pleasant.

"Oh no, you treated him like crap." Rory shook her head.

"If I was him, I would have made it like I didn't know you. Or made a big scene about you giving me an STD." Anna crosses her legs.

"Well, he was very big about it. He didn't recoil or blow me off. We had a nice chat. It was good to see him." She smiled.

"He's a great guy." Rory nods. "And a great teacher, too. I'm glad he's back."

"Good. He seems glad, too." She was relieved that he got over her.

Richard returns to the room. "That was not my call, and for a second there, I thought a fourth friend of your mother's had a stroke."

"Oh, no." They looked up at him in concern.

He sat down across from them. "But then I realized that it was one of the original stroke ladies' husband's calling to inform me of her stroke, which we already knew about, so here we are."

"Thank God." Anna was starting to get worried for Emily.

"So, Rory has been telling me about the Chilton Bicentennial and her speech." Richard changed the subject to something more enjoyable.

"Well, it's not my speech yet. I have to qualify for it." Rory didn't want to get ahead of herself.

"Oh, you'll get it." He nods.

"She'll be on C-SPAN if she does," Anna told him.

"Very good." He would record it.

"It's not like anyone would watch it." Rory had to tell herself that to calm her nerves.

"Yes, they will. You're a hell of a lot more interesting than that usual shot they have of all the white men walking around that big empty chamber with the numbers all over them." The few times she was flipping through the channel she would be confused as to who would watch that.

Richard was offended because he watched it. "That's a televised house vote, and I find that fascinating."

"Just watch the Men's Warehouse security camera, same thing." Lorelai waved her hand dismissively.

"When is your speech? I'd like to be there." Richard turned to Rory, knowing she was only trying to upset him.

"Again, it's not my speech yet, but it's Friday at five," Rory told him.

"Oh, well, that's tough. Could they move it to six?" He had a meeting.

"I don't think so." She shook her head.

"Well, maybe I'll move my thing." He made a note in his head to make a call.

"That might be best." She nods. Lorelai reaches into her purse making Anna have to lean onto the armrest.

The phone rings. "Oh, I've got it, I've got it, I've got it!" Richard rushes out of the room.

Lorelai laughs. "What?" Her daughters turn to her.

She held up her phone "Speed dial. I just like seeing him do that."

"So, you escaped your house because of a phone call?" Jess pushed the cart. They were in Walmart, shopping for the prank.

"I can not hear one more thing about Paris. At this point they should kiss or fight, either ending would be fine by me." Anna had been listening to Rory's rant since the speech sign-up list.

"Are you rooting for her sister to be with Paris?" He noted that this was her second time bringing that up.

"She could do worse." She put a bottle of bubble bath into the cart.

"She has." Jess put some rubber ducks in the cart.

Anna crackled at that. "So, you know the plan?"

"Do you know who you're talking to? Are you forgetting the chalk outline? I'm the prank king." He patted his chest.

"The chalk outline was at three in the morning. This is going to be in a crowded room. One eye sees it all over." She scoffed.

"I stole that gnome in broad daylight." He knew he had more stealth skills than she did.

"Yeah, probably when everyone was in school and at work." She knew his love for ditching.

"If I remember correctly, you and the loud neighbor were chatting on the porch." He went down another aisle.

"Yeah, right." She rolled her eyes.

"You were covered in dirt because you crawled under the house to get the cat's toy." He remembers the neighbor thanking her loudly.

She gasps because that was the day that they realized the gnome was missing.

It was the night of the Bicentennial. The main courtyard was crowded to the point that the camera's view of the fountain would be disturbed. Anna had a water bottle filled with bubble baths. Roger and Eleanor were on either side with rubber ducks. They were each paired with a spotter: Jess, Thomas, and Henry. When she got the head nod from Jess, she dumped the bottle. She put the bottle into her purse once it was empty. She only turned to the fountain when heard the gasp and laughter. "What in the world?" She frowned at hearing her grandfather's voice. She turns to see him and Rory standing there.

"Hey, Grandpa. Can you believe this? Kids nowadays." She tsks.

"Yes, kids nowadays. They have a lot of guts and spirit." She was surprised at the smile on his face with the knowing glint in his eyes.

"This is hilarious, Anna." Rory smiles from ear to ear. All her nervousness was gone, the speech being pushed to the back of her mind.

"I don't know what you're crediting me for." She said through clenched teeth.

"Hey, I thought this was a high-class place." Jess walks over.

"Hello, are you one of Anna's classmates?" Richard greets.

Rory felt like her face was going to crack with how hard she was smiling. "Grandpa, this is Jess. Jess, this is my Grandpa." She was nervous to introduce them since he exploded on Dean.

"Oh, Jess. The boyfriend." He was no longer smiling. Anna unconsciously held her breath. "My wife speaks fondly of you. While she finds it enduring that you'll follow Anna anywhere she goes, I find it concerning that you have no goals of your own." He held back no punches.

"I'm a hard worker and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to support Anna." He didn't flinch under the hard glare. The Gilmore Girls were impressed.

"Yes, you work two jobs. Work ethic with no goals makes for…" He was interrupted.

"Hard-working blue-collar people that the rich need to work for them." Jess cut him off.

"Rory." The headmaster came over making Anna breathe again. "What is this?" He stared at the bubble bath. "The seniors this year are immature. Alarms, photoshopping the staff's head onto vulgar bodies than making them screensavers on all the computers and flyers everywhere, sending out a mass email to the parent that prom is the 1800s theme this year, and now this."

"Do you know who is doing it?" Richard asks.

"Oh Richard, I didn't see you there. No, I don't know. So far they've been harmless, annoying but harmless." He nodded to his friend before turning to Rory. "Are you and Paris ready, you're on next."

"Actually headmaster, I don't know where Paris is, I called her but she isn't answering." She remembered her situation.

"Oh well, I hope you know both parts. Richard, how many seats do you need?" He asks.

"Me, my daughter, granddaughter, and her boyfriend." He counted.

"Four seats it is." He nods. "Susanna, it's been a whimsical few months. A little silliness is good in a stressful time. But, no more of it during events or tests. I would hate to have to find evidence." He walks away.

"Did you just give me a free pass for regular school days?" Her eyes lit up.

"Sounds like it to me." Jess smiled.

"Don't get expelled." He advises before moving on to his other granddaughter. "You are going to be wonderful, trust me. Now, has anyone ever told you to picture the audience in their underwear?"

"Yes." She nods.

"Well, don't do it. I did it once and I had nightmares for a week. Bulgarians in Speedos." He made a joke, wanting her to relax.

"Say no more." She was grossed out. Anna giggled.

Lorelai walks over to them. "Hey, they're rounding us up. Is she here yet?"

"No." She sighs.

"Oh, well, just. . .oh, there she is." She pointed down the hall.

"Paris wouldn't miss this." Anna pats her back.

"Oh, thank you, God." She let out a breath of relief.

"Okay, be great. We'll see you afterward." They walk inside to get their seats.

"And it is with great pleasure that I introduce two young ladies that epitomize the very best of what Chilton has to offer." The headmaster spoke to the crowd. "Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Paris Gellar and Rory Gilmore." They walk on stage to stand behind their podiums.

"Is it me or does Paris look a little rough?" Anna clapped her hands.

"She probably didn't realize what time it was and had to hush over so she didn't do her hair or change her clothes." Lorelai reasons.

"We're talking about Paris. The girl made them do audition tapes for a school play. She once made me come to school two hours early for a presentation. I agree with Rory. The fact that she wasn't here when they were setting up the chairs is odd." She was relieved at first when she didn't see Paris. She was her biggest obstacle for tonight's prank. Now that it was over, she was concerned.

"Everyone can have a forgetful moment." Jess agrees.

"Apply yourself. Get all the education you can, but then do something. Don't just stand there, make it happen. Lee Iacocca." She looked over at Paris when she didn't say anything she went on. "Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one. Malcolm Forbes." She stopped again but Paris didn't take over. "Education is an admirable thing, but it is good to remember from time to time that nothing worth knowing can be taught. Oscar Wilde. These are only three of many countless views on the expansion of the human mind. I believe in all of them, and fortunately for me, so does Chilton. An institution not just because of age and standing, but because of ideas. Because it encourages ideas and it will accept nothing less than everything you have to give. This is the place where our lives start."

Paris let out a bitter laugh. "You know, it's funny, me standing here before you right now. I've thought about nothing else for four years but this school, this big important school with all of its history and tradition and super teachers. And I dedicated myself to it completely, heart and soul, believing in its power, believing in its ability to get me where I needed to go. Harvard. I thought of nothing else. Many of you out there can attest to that fact. I was on my way and nothing could stop me. And here's the really funny thing: after four years of slaving away, I go home today and I found this." She holds up an envelope. Anna felt pain in her voice. "I'm not going to Harvard. I got the tiny envelope, the one that reads, Sorry, Paris. We're not interested. Try again next year. Love, Harvard. And the thing that's funny here is, who in the world deserves to go to Harvard more than me? Have you seen how hard I've worked over these past four years? I mean, can anyone here believe that I'm not going? I had sex, but I'm not going to Harvard." Anna stood up to make her way to the stage. She was surprised but knew if Paris wasn't in such a state she would never shout out such personal information.

"And I have to tell you that if you asked me which of those two events I thought would be the least likely to happen, it would not be the not going to Harvard." She screams into the mic.

"Thank you and good night." Rory was thankful that her sister was coming up. She didn't know why no one else was.

"I'm being punished. I had sex, so now I don't get to go to Harvard." She put a hand up to her chest.

"Paris, come on." With Anna's help, they pulled her off stage.

"She's never had sex. She'll probably go to Harvard. She's a shoo-in. Pack your chastity belt, Gilmore, you're going to Harvard!" She screamed as they dragged her off.

When they got her backstage, she dropped on the steps and sobbed. "How could I have not gotten into Harvard? Five generations of Gellar's have gotten into Harvard. Even if I was the Billy Carter of the family, the name is still supposed to carry some weight."

"Paris." Rory rubs her back.

"They had to not like me for me to not get in." She wipes her tears.

"Paris." Anna was getting nervous. If Paris didn't get into Harvard, then who's to say she could get into Gillespie's Culinary Art School.

"It's like they know me or something." She shakes.

"Stop. I know how much this meant to you, Paris, but you are going to get just as good an education at one of the other great schools you're destined to get into. And you know what? Maybe it's a good thing that you're going to a different school than the rest of your family. You'll be doing your own thing, starting your own tradition. Doesn't that sound exciting?" Rory tried to get her to see the bright side.

"I can't believe I slept with Jamie. I'm a slut." She said through her tears.

"No, you're not. You love him." Rory reasoned.

"Even if you didn't, even if you slept with him just for the thrill, it doesn't change your value. All these labels of virginity and chastity are just a bullshit fetish for men wanting to own a woman's sexuality. You know this. You're friends with Madeline and Louise. Do you think any less of them because they are what society considers sluts?" Anna put her hands on her hips. She would not have anyone demeaning their sexuality.

"No, but they can't hold down a man." She didn't want to lose him. "What if he doesn't love me anymore? What if he doesn't think I'm special anymore? How am I going to tell him I didn't get into Harvard? What am I gonna do?"

"Forget Jamie, forget your family for a minute? Think about this, did you even look at other schools or did you focus on Harvard because you were told to? Just look at other schools, you might find one that you fall in love with all on your own." Anna never understood the pressure her peers put themselves under when it wasn't their dream. It made her want to hug her mom tightly for letting her dream of being a chef.

The woman she was thinking of, opened the door. "Hey, I just wanted to make sure everything was okay."

"Yeah, we've got everything under control, thanks." Rory hugs Paris.

"Okay. I'll be outside when you're ready. No rush." She closed the door.

"Well, all I've gotta say is, after all the trouble this sex thing has caused me, I better have been good." She leaned her head on Rory's shoulder.

"That's the perspective I know and love." She put her head on top of Paris's.

Lorelai and Rory got out of the Jeep while Jess and Anna got out of the Ambassador. "Do you think Kirk finally delivered our mail?" Anna nodded to the mailbox.

"Let's see." They walk across the yard.

"Mom and Mr. Medina kissed." Rory blurted out.

"Rory." Lorelai didn't want Jess to know.

"Woah," He was taken back.

"What about Alex? Isn't that your boyfriend?" Anna asked.

"I wouldn't say, boyfriend." Lorelai didn't see it as cheating. They weren't exclusive or anything.

"Is it a fling or something more? You know he is only here for a while, right? Are you going to move to California or are you going to do a long-distance thing?" She rattles off questions.

"Honey, stop. I know nothing. He kissed me, said he was not over it, and ran off. I know as much as you." She stopped in front of the mailbox.

"Sorry." They stared at it.

"Who's going to open it?" Jess asked after a minute.

"I got this." She pulled out one and handed it to Anna. "Not a virgin, but maybe the rule doesn't apply to culinary school."

"Oh my god." She hugs Jess tightly. It was the first time Lorelai saw the moody teen smile.

Lorelai took out another to hand it to Rory. "The big one." She smiled.

"Looks like Paris was right." She stared at it in disbelief.

Lorelai pulls out two more large envelopes. "You are the biggest virgin in the world."

"This is great." Anna hugged her sister from behind. "So many options. I knew it." She swung her around.

"Anna put me down." Rory laughed.

"What does this mean?" Lorelai asked.

"I don't know." She shrugged.

"Looks like a lot of pro and con charts." Anna was bouncing on the heels of her feet.

"I do love those." Rory smiles weakly. It was an overwhelming moment. She worked so hard over the years and it all felt unreal.

"Yeah. So, what are the odds that Paris is ever gonna have sex again in this lifetime?" Lorelai asked.

"I think once she gets over Harvard, she will be good to go again." Anna pulled Jess towards the house with them.
