As Sasha ran through the woods she knew he had to be prepared for anything, Giant Insect, Giant Bird, or dangerous amphibians, anything could be lurking around these woods waiting to kill her or her friends.
Suddenly he heard the noise of bushes rustling just ahead, Sasha went for the sword Grime lent her, gripping its handle she glared at the bushes.
Bog and his two cronies running towards them, covered in mud only wearing their underwear.
'Well that's a sight I never wanted to see.'. She thought closing her eyes briefly, this was a mistake the image was now imprinted in her mind.
As they run past Sasha reached out and grabbed Bog by the arm, "Where's Lucian?" she growled.
"He should be following us, he helped us escape from the cannibals."
"Cannibals?" said Grime, "the Plantars told me years ago they encountered some in the woods, and at an inn, and… the tower did not do a good job of protecting this valley did we?"
Percy, Braddock ran in the direction where Bog and the others came from, followed by Grime,
Sasha turned to the three toads, "There's a ladybug back there, keep running" She ordered before following her friends.
After a few minutes she could see a clearing hiding behind some trees was Grime, further ahead she could sport Percy and Braddock charging at four large frogs, surrounding them were unconscious figures covered in mud.
It didn't take her long to figure out what to do next, she started to climb the tree, maybe she could get the drop of them if she got closer.
She has to admit that it was a lot harder to do this after around ten years of inaction but still she made it, she looked down at Grime and nodded.
The toad nodded back, and pulled out his sword, She didn't know if his fighting skills had degraded since losing one arm, but she'd have to take the risk.
Sasha looked at the tree next to her, it was dark, but she could just make out a large branch, she jumped and landed, she then swung to the next tree.
Looking down she could see Percy and Braddock standing in front of Lucian, protecting him.
The four frogs were walking closer towards the three.
Sasha closed her eyes, it had been ten years since had fought anything, as well as fencing she had taken a few self-defense classes, but could she really do this?
Leaping from the branch she landed behind one of the muddy frogs that was trailing behind the others, she curled her fist into a ball and slammed it into their face.
The impact made Sasha smile, She knew she shouldn't have enjoyed it so much, but the feeling of her fist contacting the frog's face reconnected her to that side that enjoyed smashing robots in the past.
She looked at the frogs and toads looking at her, the two frogs not covered in mud looked at her confused, the frog covered in mud looked down horrified, Percy and Braddock looked shocked but someone hopeful.
"It's been a while since I've done this, but I think you'll be the perfect practice"
The Bullfrogs looked at her, "For what?" said the nicely dressed male
Sasha looked at them her eyes narrowed, "Kicking your butts."
"Sorry, who are you, I mean I've seen one of your kind before," said the remaining muddy frog annoyed, "But are we supposed to be scared of you?"
"Not really," said Sasha, she took a step forwarded and slammed the butt of her sword into the other muddy frog's face, she like her counterpart fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Who's next?" said Sasha.
The two remaining bullfrogs nodded, the female one reached down her dress and pulled out a sword.
"Oh" said Sasha surprised, "I didn't expect to get into a sword fight today."
"Too bad," said the female frog jumping at her, #sasha ducked barely dodging the slice.
In an instant Sasha swung her blade towards the frog, only for it to connect to the other blade.
Sasha swung again
The old frog was able to block it.
Sasha jumped back, "You're good at this." she said.
"Thank you dearie," said the old frog woman with a polite smiled, "I was given a course on sword fighting as a wedding anniversary gift, I practice in my spare time."
Sasha blade collided with the other blade again, "Huh, must be nice to have the time to do it, My job kind of takes up a lot of time."
The Female frog jumped above Sasha and tried to decapitate her, the blonde leaned her head back, avoiding the sword.
"Well I've never really had a job, I run an inn with my sister's and husband, but that was more of a trap to eat people, I thought I did a good job till it blew up."
"Oh," said Sasha recalling a story Anne told her ten years ago while trying to kick the frog, "You're the Dandelion Inn cannibals."
"You've heard of us." said the cannibal beaming while swiping her leg trying to trip the human up
Sasha jumped over it,"Yeah, but I have to say that I'm surprised your husband ran off, I mean you guys seemed like the perfect murderous couple."
"I'm here," said a voice from behind Sasha, She ducked in response just missing the sword swinging at her back, turning she saw the husband with a sword in his hand.
"Bad news girl," said the wife, her voice taking on a darker edge, "It was a couple's course."
The wife swung at her again, Sasha blocked it however the by the time she blocked it another one from the husband came, she barely blocked with the wife tried attacking again, it slowly turned into a pattern, one swing was followed by a block only to be followed by another swing, she was slowly starting to be overwhelmed.
It was too much, ten years ago these toads would be on the floor unconscious, now, she was mostly likely going to die.
Too distracted in her hopelessness she didn't see the husband swipe his foot knocking her off balance.
She fell to the ground using her sword to deflect the wife's blow, however she saw the husband's blade come flying towards her to her left
This was it, she was going to die.
She closed her eyes, at least this would be a quick death.
All of a sudden there was the sound of metal clashing.
She opened her eyes and saw Grime standing next to her, a sword in its hand deflecting the husband's sword.
"Grimsey!" she said overcome with joy and worry.
"You know I don't like when you start a fight without me!" Grime said with the most horrifying smile.
Sasha smiled back and kicked at the wife's leg causing her to fall, she let out a scream.
"Leave her alone," the husband cried, he tried punching Grime, who dodged it, with a jump he headbutted the male bullfrog in his face.
The Wife took a look at her husband's fall and let out a scream, she stood and changed at Grime, Only for Sasha to Grab her and through her towards the pot, the bullfrog slammed into it head first with a clang and fell down.
"Martha," yelled out the husband, however before he could respond Grime slammed his first into his face, the male cannibal fell down unconscious.
For a few seconds everything was quiet, Grime was the first to break the silence
"YES," shouted Grime, "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR MESSING WITH A PALADIN GRIME AND HIS EX-LIEUTENANT SASHA."
Sasha could help but smile, It felt like the old days just briefly, she turned to the trio of toads they had just saved, only to spot two of them.
"Where's Lucian?"
She watched as the two toads turned around and tried to spot their son, panicked expressions appearing on their faces.
"Where did he go," said Percy.
Sasha did a quick scan of the clearing, all the cannibals seemed to be there, however she saw that behind Percy and Braddock there was a single set of footsteps in the mud.
"He went that way," she said pointing in the direction of the tracks, "You guys stay here, and I'll find him."
"He's our son we…"
"You need to stay here," said Grime, "We've got around a dozen cannibals and if they have rope well I'm going to need you to tie them up."
"Really why don't you and-" Percy started to say before shifted his cloak to reveal an empty sleeve, "Oh, yeah."
Sasha started to run into the forest, it was dark and kind of worrying, but she knew she had to find the young toad.
After ten minutes she finally arrived near a cliff, walking slowly she could hear someone crying, she was familiar with the sound, it was mostly likely a boy.
Eventually she spotted a Lucian, sitting on a log overlooking the view Wartwood, Sasha took a second to enjoy the view before walking over to the young toad, his head was in his hands
Looking at him, she could tell that toady had taken a toll on him,
"Hey,"
Lucian jumped and turned to see her, she could see the surprise on his face, and could confirm that he had been crying, he tried to wipe away the tears, to hide that he had been crying.
"They're gone, the cannibals they-"
"I know" he said quickly, "I left When you knocked Martha out."
"Oh, said Sasha.
She just stood there for a second, the awkward silence encompassing them.
"Um, so what are you doing?"
The toad was quiet for a second, "I'm running away." he said.
"Really?" nodded Sasha.
"Yeah, I was planing to do it when I heard they left you ten years ago, but then I went on this stupid hunt and I almost got killed, and then they saved me, and now I know I'm just a terrible son and that I shouldn't be there and …"
"Lucian," said Sasha softly, "Take a breath, you're rambling."
The young toad looked at her for a second then inhaled for five seconds before exhaling.
"I can't go back there, I've been a terrible son."
Sasha just looked at him for a second, and gently laughed "Trust me, You're not the first person to think that running away would solve all your problems."
Lucian looked at her, his tears had stopped his eyes were wide and confused, "What?"
Sasha sat down next to him, "I did the same thing, I thought my parents were going to do something bad to me and well I thought It had a good idea.
"So what happened?"
Sasha sighed, "Well I waited till it got dark…"
…
Sasha had waited till everyone had gone to bed, before she had decided to enact her escape, she had hidden her armor in the conservatory that afternoon, as well as a knife from the kitchen, Hopefully it would make a decent replacement for the weapons she left in Amphibia, At midnight she exited her bed, she took a quick look over at Molly-Jo laying beneath her covers, standing up she made her way out of the room.
Not making a single noise she walked down the stairs, trying to stay in the darkness, making her way through the living room and into the conservatory, she found her armor hidden in her school backpack.
Changing quickly she looked at the door to the backyard, she'd be able to climb over the fence and escape.
This wasn't the best plan in the world, but it was better than living with people who thought she was crazy, she'd probably have to sleep in the wild for a few days, but that was okay, she had done it in Amphibia she could do it here.
Before she could take a step she could hear the front door, bell and heard her mother's footsteps coming from upstairs, Sasha dove behind a coach, if they caught her they'd probably send her to some mental ward before she could do anything.
She heard the door opening and her parents talking, what's worse was that they were coming towards her, she could just about hear them, they were now standing
"It's hard I know, but we need to do this," her father said.
"I know But listen maybe she should wait a few days like give her a chance to…"
"I agree we need to talk to her but honestly, I think we have to admit to the truth"
"What truth?"
It was quiet for a second before she head her mother sob, "The fact that we can't help her."
Sasha was quiet for a second, before she could hear her mother's sobs, her mother was crying, she never did that not even during the divorce.
Peaking out from behind the couch she was shocked to see her father holding her mother, he hadn't done that in years, the last one was for a photo, one she had given time Anne a long time ago, given away because she couldn't bare to know how much they really hated each other.
Did they actually care for her? Were they just trying to help her?
She shock her head, no that's not it, she wasn't crazy, all she was going to do was run away from home and try and make her life on the road, wearing a battle armor, like she did on Amphibia.
…Okay maybe she needed to rethink some things.
She stayed crouching when she heard her parents start to head to the kitchen she took a brief peak from behind the coach.
Outside the glass screen doors in the closest tree was a figure crouching in the branches.
Sasha leapt from behind the coach and ran towards the screen doors, the figure must have seen here because it leapt from the tree, a tube flew out from their mouth and wrap around a nearby, opening the door Sasha turned to see the figure scrambling up the branch, the figure pointed their head towards her room and the tube extended yet again, before the figure could leap again Sasha took the kitchen knife from her belt and threw it at the tube, slicing it in two.
The figure fell in mid-leap and landed on the ground with a pained yelp, Sasha rushed over to theme, she was about to pick up the knife again when she noticed something what the figure was wearing, a tacky blue onesie with goggles attached,
"What the?" Said Sasha confused.
"Sasha." said a voice from behind her, she turned to see her parents running towards her.
The figure tried to stand, but Sasha turned and grabbed the ripping of their mask Sasha was confronted with a blonde eleven-year-old with a green and pink stripe standing out.
"Um… Hi Sasha." said Molly Jo.
"MOLLY JO?"
"Sasha What's- Molly Jo?" said her mother reaching the two girls.
"Some girl I don't know?" said her father confused.
"Molly Jo, What are you wearing?"
The younger girl looked at Sasha up and down, "Are you sure you want to ask that question?"
"Yes, I look good, you look ridiculous."
"Sorry," said her mother, "But what are both of you doing out this late and while wearing those costumes."
Sasha looked at her mother and sighed, "I was planning to go."
"Go, Go where?" asked her father.
Sighed Sasha looked downwards, "Anywhere but here."
Everything was quiet for a moment, her mother spluttered out terrified, "Why?"
Sasha closed her eyes, "I overheard you guys talking about therapy and well I don't want that."
The awkward silence returned,
"Sasha." said her father.
"I know and you guys seem to be getting along and…"
"Sasha, be quiet for a second," said her father gently.
She opened her eyes and saw her father looked small, tired, like there was something he needed today.
"When you vanished," said her mother, "We well, started to blame each other."
"We each hired and private investigator to look for you and well… they never really found anything, but we kind of discovered who you were."
Wincing Sasha sighed, "Yeah, there's a lot to unpack there, But…"
"We realized we didn't know who you were, I mean the graffiti, the pranks and well when you vanished we thought well-"
"You were gone." said her father finding the words to say, "and we realized just how much you meant to us."
Sasha just stood there for a second, it was terrifying, after all the monsters she had faced in Amphibia, seeing her friends crumble in front of her and worst losing Anne die… This somehow topped them all.
Seeing her parents as human, that was too much, tears started to stream from her eyes.
"The therapist?"
"We wanted someone who could help you," said her father, "Let's be honest here, we're not exactly good at this parenting thing."
Sasha looked at her mother who nodded, the former Leuitenat stood there for a second, she sighed just so tired.
"Maybe, I do need help." she admitted, feeling a bit better for it.
"We can arrange an appointment when ever you want." said her mother.
Sasha nodded, then she ran and hugged them, former husband and wife were surprised, and looked at each other, there was still bitterness between them, and just because Sasha disappearance had united them didn't mean it fixed everything, but still they smiled, and hugged her back.
All three of them were surprised that a fourth person joined in the hug, they looked at Saw Molly Jo was there.
Sasha ended the hug and looked at her, "Okay, so what exactly are you wearing?"
"Oh, this um… well I kind of became best friends with a superhero while you were a way, and I want to continue his legacy?"
The taller Blonde girl raised an eyebrow, "What?"
"Frog-man" said her mother exasperated like she had told this story before, "MJ got a crush on a superhero and this ended up with Grandpa Robert in community service."
"Really?" said Sasha fighting off a smile, "A crush on a superhero?"
Molly Jo laughed, "Well it wouldn't work out, I mean Sprigs just a frog and-"
Sasha's eyes widened in fright, before the tween could continue Sasha covered her mouth.
"Please for the all that's holy do not continued, I do not need to hear about your crush on squeaky toy."
…
"So, they did love you?"
Sasha nodded, "Yeah, I guess I was so caught up in who they were I forgot that they could change as well, it wasn't easy for me or them, but eventually I realized that I needed some help, it was worth it in the end."
Lucian continued to sit there and sighed, "That worked for you but-"
"Trust me Lucian, your parents love you, they stood up to cannibals for you, hell they stood up to me all those years ago."
The boy looked at her shocked, "Really?"
Sasha nodded, "You said earlier they abandoned me, well truth is that they stood up to me, I ignored them when I promised to listen and well, They taught me a lesson I should have learned that day.
Lucian sat there his eyes wide in shock, "But they left you and-"
"They left because I failed them. Not the other way round, I was a bad friend."
The toad boy looked away from her and sighed, "They're going to hate me."
Sasha wrapped his arms around him, "Nah, they run to rescue you, trust em, they'll be glad you're okay."
Lucian was quiet for a second, before saying, "you're pretty good at this."
"I hope so," said Sasha letting him go from the hug, "it's my job back on earth to help kids with problems."
"Really." Said a voice behind Sasha, the blonde woman froze, she turned to see Grime standing there, a stern look on his face.
Sasha swallowed, "Percy and Braddock nearby?"
"Yes," said Grime sternly, "Lucian, why don't you go meet up with them, I need to talk to Sasha."
Sasha winced at the mention of her name, Grime's tone made her feel like a teenager again.
Lucian first looked at Sasha, then Grime and nodded, sensing that they would rather be alone at the moment, he stood up and walked away.
The two old friends look at each other.
"So how many great generals talk to children as a part of their job? Are you teaching children on the side?"
"No," said Sasha, "I lied about that, I'm a Psychiatrist, I help children with their problems."
"Oh, I see, Well I supposed O should walk off and be upset with you."
"Hey," said Sasha annoyed, "I have a good reason for lying."
"Really what?"
"I didn't want to disappoint you."
Grime gave her a look that made her feel even smaller, "You'd think I'd be disappointed in the fact that you choose to help people instead of joining the army.
"Well…" said Sasha unsure, "It's just you looked so proud that I was protecting the world and…"
She trailed off, embarassed.
"You really think I'd be angry at you for helping other people?" asked Grime.
Sasha sighed "it sounds kind of dumb when you put it like that."
"Yes it does" replied the toad who sat down beside her, "But in all fairness I really should have told you about Percy and Braddock, So we're even."
Sasha nodded, "It's okay, I'm sorry too."
"Apology accepted, everyone survived, and we caught a group of cannibals, and everyone's friends again."
"Not everyone, I've still got to apologize to Percy and Braddock," said Sasha standing, "if they forgive me."
"Yes, I'm sure their hold saving their son against you." quipped Grime, as he stood up.
Sasha laughed and followed him.
…
As Lucian entered the clearing he saw that the clearing was full of unconscious frogs, all of them tied up with rope which the cannibals had in abundance.
He spotted his parents tying up Teddy.
"MOM, DAD." he called out.
The two toads spotted him, in seconds they were at his side hugging him tighter than ever.
"Lucian you're alive." said his father with tears in his eyes.
"We were so worried, you could have been killed."
Lucian looked at both of them and hugged them back, sure they might be a little embarrassing, but he was willing to let them, today had been a bit of an eye-opener.
"Mom, Dad, I'm so sorry." he said quietly.
"It's okay, just please never do that again," said his mother
"You guys okay?" said a voice from behind them.
Lucian turned to see Sasha standing there a small smile on her face, next to her was Grime also smiling.
"Yeah," he said relieved to see her.
His parents released him from the hug and looked at her, on their faces were confused looks, ones that still didn't know how to process what just happened.
Sasha smiled vanished and was replaced with a downcast look, "Guys listen what Ii did back then was wrong, I just wanted to say I'm Sorr-"
Before she could finish her apology Percy and Braddock lunged at her, and embraced her, they started to speak incomprehensibly, Lucian could only make one a phrases.
"Yourforgiven,Thankyou,Itwassohardtobemadatyou,wedontwanttohateyouanymore,thankyouforsavingourson
He watched as Sasha hugged them back, he noticed the tears in her eyes, turning he looked at Grime a wide smile not the terrifying one he was known for was on his face.
A smile appeared on his face, things seemed to end happy.
…
As the five traveled back to town she meet up with Sheriff Buckwheat and a small posse of Amphibians, Bog and Co had fled from the scene and informed the sheriff of what happened, after making sure that the three mud covered toads weren't insane he gathered help to go after them.
He promised that he'd bring them back.
She and Grime had joined the three Vors (Percy and Braddock's last name, she felt bad she didn't get it ten years ago.) for dinner, they spent all night talking and telling Lucian tales of their time together, the boy watched listened enraptured.
Eventually it grew late, at around midnight Sasha and Grime took their leave
"It was so good to see you again," said Sasha, letting Percy and Braddock from a hug.
"You to," replied Percy, "Next time I can show you some of my routine," said Percy.
Sasha nodded with a forced smile on her face, okay there were some things she didn't miss about the two, but she'd suffer through his jokes.
As they walked away Sasha smiled, she never really expected closure for this but today had surprised her.
Twenty minutes later she and Grime reached the cottage, as she reached the door she could hear her phone's ringtone, she dashed past Grime and picked it up, the scree had the words, Mom on it, below that was notifications saying that she had missed, 15 calls between her mom and dad.
Sasha sighed, she should have expected this, Marcy had told her earlier that the portal being open allowed signals from earth to come through, and clearly her parents were trying to call him.
Fearing the reaction on the other side she swiped the screen.
"Sasha, thank goodness, where have you been?" said her mother on the other side of the phone, her voice was full of panic.
Guilt gripped Sasha heart, she had skipped her call in-day, she had been doing it for nearly ten years now, a brief phone call to remind her parents she was safe, considering recent events that wasn't a bad idea.
"Mom, relax, I'm fine, I've out of the city for a few days," That would work her mother trusted her now.
"Yes, I know, when you didn't call me today I called your bosses, your friends, heck even other doctors, hey have no idea where you were."
Sasha winced, She was going to have to arrange a mother daughter day out for this, an expensive one, (which Molly Jo would crash) "Yes, Sorry I should have told you."
The voice on the other side of the line let out a breath of relief., "Well it doesn't matter now, I'll call your father and tell him to not call the police."
Sasha sighed, in their defense they had every reason to worry, and it was nice to know that cared for her.
"So how was your day"? Said her mother.
"Pretty good, I met up with some old friends, they had some problem with their son."
"Oh, really? Well they had the person to help them, Dr. Waybright."
Sasha laughed"Mom, please it gets awkward when you say that."
"No, as your mother I have every right to say it whenever humanly possible."
"Dad says it to."
"I divorced the man Sasha, but he can be right once in a blue moon."
Sasha laughed, "Actually you kind of helped me today."
"Really?"
"Yeah. My friend's son he was having problem with his parents and I remembered that time, well in the armor."
Sasha's mother was quiet for a few seconds, "Oh, yes, I remember." her mother said quietly.
"Well I just wanted to say, Thanks, and I know you weren't the best but… you guys really helped me back then."
"Your welcome Sasha."
"Anyway I've got to go now, see you in a few days."
"Okay,"
Sasha heard her mother hang up on the other line, she smiled and walked to her coach.
"That your mother?" asked Grime booking through the open door.
"Yeah."
"Why didn't you tell her you were here in Amphibia."
"If they knew I was back here they'd start to worry, Maybe give them a few more days before I tell them."
Grime shrugged and turned to his room, "Well whatever goodnight lieutenant."
Sasha nodded and headed towards the door "Good night captain," she said smiling.
Alone Sasha lay on the coach and closed her eyes falling asleep, today she had removed an albatross from her neck, there were still things she regretted from back then, but she had made peace with one of them.
She just hoped the rest of her time in Amphibia would be quiet.
…
When Sasha opened her eyes she noticed the room was still dark, she turned to the clock and groaned it was one A.M
She had hoped this wouldn't be a problem anymore.
Her visit to the therapist had helped a lot, she had been guarded at first, but the more they talked, the more she felt safe, they talked about some of the things she did in Amphibia and while it hurt, it felt good to tell someone what had happened.
She still hadn't told her parents yet but well she didn't want to make them worry, but she had a feeling
Still sleeping was going to be a pain, hopefully she'd get use to sleeping again, but something just felt off.
"You up?"
Sasha pulled her head up to see Molly Jo still sleeping in her bed, the younger girl would be out of the room soon, but it would take some time.
"Yeah, so don't you think you can sneak out for superhero practice."
I'd be good at it." said the younger blonde, "Besides you get to be a barbarian."
Sasha nodded, "Fair but right not, maybe you should not be so gung ho about adventure just yet, trust me."
The room was quiet for a second before Molly Jo spoke up.
"So, why are you still up?"
Sasha sighed, "I don't even know anymore, Honestly you're a lot quieter than a cave full of Amphibians.
"I'm going to take that as a compliment," laughed Molly Jo quietly, "but was there anything else."
"Well, There was Grime."
"Who?"
"Oh, Grime he was… my friend, he usually watched over me at night."
A few people would find that weird but oddly enough Grime watch made her feel safe, like she knew nothing bad would happen as long as he stood by her.
Molly Jo was quiet for a second and then got out of her bed and sat on it, she kept looking at Sasha.
"What are you doing?"
"You said he watched you, Well maybe I can try?"
Sasha was about to laugh but stopped herself, this was Molly Jo being nice, maybe she could get used to having Molly Jo around.
"Okay, fine but remember try to get to sleep."
"No promises." replied the younger girl.
Sasha lay down again trying to sleep, maybe she'd visit Amphibia in her dreams but oddly enough, for the first time ever she felt like she was home.
…
Grime watched as Sasha fell asleep, He knew she was safe but since she had come back he just wanted to make sure she was safe.
She helped children, not the warrior he wanted her to be but, well he had watched her as she talked to Lucian, keeping him calm and getting through to him, in away it was manipulation, but being nicer, apparently.
Quietly closing the door he smiled to himself.
"I'm proud of you lieutenant." he whispered before walking to bed.
…
Doctor Frakes entered the room pushing a kart, stopping behind a console, it had been five days since they had caught the guardian and nothing had happened yet, she was getting annoyed, The core had promise so much and despite the fact that he was her only ally she was starting to get annoyed.
However, today would be the day they would be opened up a portal, he promised
The cat looked at her, just randomly looking at her part of her wondered if it was acting more like a cat to annoy them.
"So," said the cat, "have you given up yet?" it said smugly
Dr Frakes scowled at the beast, "Not at all, see the tests were only to see how you could handle the electrical shocks, today we add something new."
In the center of the room, the large monolith eyes opened, two mechanical arms descended from the ceiling and glided to the kart, one reached inside the kart and start to pull out the remains of an old electric keyboard. The other hand ripped off the keyboard's casing, it then attached some wires from the console and attached them to the circuit board inside.
"What are you doing?" said the cat.
"Oh just enacting phase two." said the Core.
Frakes walked over to the keyboard and hit a key.
Electricity hit the cat, who kept quiet, however something happened in the center of the room, a small circle opened, she pressed another key and the portal widened.
Frakes laughed, "It's working, IT'S WORKING, MY MOTHER WAS RIGHT THOSE PIANO LESSONS DID COME IN USEFUL."
With a few more keys the portal was larger on the other side there was a green field, with blue sky a town was nearby.
"Is that it?" said Frakes.
"Yes, It's near Tadpole Lake, a small town of little importance."
The mad scientist looked at the monolith, A part of her expected him to feel a little emotional after seeing his home after ten years but no, he seemed to dislike his home.
Frakes turned to look at the cat it looked terrified, "No."
The monoliths eyes looked at the cat.
"Yes, Soon I'll have revenge on Amphibia and Earth and all those who dwell within them."
