AN: Don't own TT.

This is an adult!Jerikole chapter. If you did not read what I just said, this one shot is gonna get weird.

Enjoy this latest installment of Jerikole Drabbles! (Ya know, I should give this fic a new title... Any ideas? Anyone?)

Kole walked leisurely down the hall, toward the common room. The Herald had returned from a long assignment in a very distant dimension, and the Titans North were going to celebrate their leader's triumphant return. Half a decade of teamwork and friendship had held their merry band together while their guiding light was gone, and they would all be radiant in his calming presence. Jericho, Kole imagined, would be especially amenable that night.

Smiling with anticipation, Kole stepped lightly.

Suddenly a shadow stretched from an adjacent hall into hers.

Kole saw its familiar form, tall and bald, and feared that it was Slade. Every muscle in her shoulders tensed, and every intuition screamed for her to run. But Kole bravely chose to face her attacker.

She sprinted to the end of the hall and pivoted sharply, entering into the other lane at high speed.

"Woah, Crystal Girl!" yelled Hot Spot in surprise. "Party's that'a'way."

"I thought you were Slade." Kole clutched her heart.

"Yeah. I imagine that being kidnapped, like, every other day can be stressful, and make anyone crazy paranoid, but don't just whip around corners ready to attack."

"Sorry! I'm really sorry!"

Hot Spot rolled his eyes, stepping past Kole. "Just come to the common room. Herald has some souvenirs that he wants to show us. Are you excited?"

He turned around to gauge Kole's reaction to the news, but she was missing.

"Jericho is gonna be so pissed!" Hot Spot darted off to notify his comrades of their youngest member's latest abduction.

"Are... you... kidding me!" Kole screeched.

The power-dampening capsule around her bounced back her frustrated scream. An unforgiving metal band held her upright and stationary in the exact center of her prison.

"Doctor Light! If I am not released in the next minute, I will... " - she remembered her surroundings, which kept her helpless - "be very angry!"

"Oh, no," mocked Doctor Light. "Not angry!" He chuckled villainously.

"Overcompensating much?"

"Quiet, pixie girl! You are interrupting my work!"

"You know, I think of you as more of a petty criminal than a scary villain! At least, you're a serial kidnapper, and my boyfriend hates people like you!"

Stalking up to her capsule, Doctor Light rudely banged on the glass with his fist.

"I said quiet! When your girly boyfriend gets here, I'll be sure to give him a fair fight. My dear, you are more valuable to my master plan than a million jewels. And more beautiful than all the diamonds in the world."

Kole hated to think what the doctor defined as fair. His pick-up line made her skin crawl.

"These power-canceling handcuffs and reflective glasses," - Doctor Light tapped the metal hinge of the mirrored glasses on the capsule - "should make things square!"

Was he only prepared for one Titan? Did he not realize that she was part of a team of five experienced heroes? The same heroes who regularly battled Slade were coming to rescue her.

Smirking, Kole asked, "Did you make those yourself?"

"No, I have a connection- Shut up, you annoying ladybug!"

"My boyfriend calls me ladybug. No one else," Kole threatened.

Ignoring her, Doctor Light gazed up at the moon. "Optimal light output... Come, my bright angel."

The machinery to Kole's left whirred, its claw hand snatching the metal lid above her head. She was spun into the moonlight.

"Let us illuminate the city and rule it to-"

"Wait! I thought I was an annoying ladybug, but now I'm an angel of light or something?" Kole stalled as best she could. "And we're doing this at night? The moon reflects only 12 percent of the sun's rays at most. Wouldn't it be smarter to wait until dawn?"

Quivering, Doctor Light whined, "But then your friends would find you! And the two red ones would beat me up!"

"Yeah, but this won't work!"

"It will. It'll just take more time for your crystallized form to absorb all the solar energy I need-" Something compact and disc-like collided with Doctor Light's face.

Slade marched to the control panel, and kicked the doctor's body out of his way. His analytical eye swept over the panel's buttons, levers and knobs, but he would not release a vulnerable Titan so easily.

"Slade." Kole spit the word like venom, which was how it sounded in her ear. "You here to kidnap me too?"

"Joseph is hot on my trail. He thinks that I abducted you."

Sneering at him, Kole retorted, "As if you would ever do such a thing."

"Not today. You tire of me, so Joe tires of me. That hatred will not do if he is to propose and leave me forever, so soon."

"Liar! About everything! Joe would never hate you, and he isn't... the marrying type. You should know that, never having been the marrying type yourself."

"You are. He will be. Before the happy day, I must salvage some kind of relationship with him."

With Joe and his heartbreak filling her mind, Kole inquired, "Can you?"

Slade didn't want to answer that question. He picked up his little disc, and left Kole to stew behind the glass.

The Titans North burst on the scene immediately after Slade disappeared.

"Where's the guy who took you, Kole?" demanded Hot Spot. "I'll rip him a new... Oh."

Doctor Light fidgeted. "Nooo..." Not a red one already!

"It's just you! Herald, I need a transport!"

While their other team members dealt with incapacitated Doctor Light, Jericho freed Kole.

After a long hug, Jericho signed, "How are you?"

"Fine. Sick of seeing Slade's stupid, one-eyed face. A little creeped out that Doctor Light has a crush on me, or may have a crush on me. He called me his 'bright angel' before you got here."

Jericho grimaced.

"I know, I'm all grown up!" said Kole happily. "Grown up and... ready for the next step, whatever it may be."

Sighing, Jericho asked, "Who told you?"

"Told me what?" replied Kole, playing dumb.

"Nothing!" Jericho sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Oi..." Argent lamented. "And he's worried about us spilling the beans!"

AN: Ha! I really liked writing this chapter. The insults that Kole and DL kept firing at each other were fun to come up with. Kole grew up into one fiesty chick! And I love how pitiful DL is, as a villain. He should be someone's geography teacher, ya know?

Anyway, leave a review if ya please!

And to anyone who has stuck with this story from the beginning, a special thank you. I am so slow!

Happy New Year! I, uh, resolve to update faster. :)
