AN: So stumped. So, so stumped for this one, guys.

This is part of a high school AU that I started in my other story Shorts (Chapter 9: "Balm"). You can read that for more context. It's not required reading.

Disclaimer: Don't own Teen Titans at all.

Legs: Joseph and Kolette

To the faculty of Jump City High, the latest soccer wear for its Teal Titans seemed harmless. The trademark teal had been preserved, no doubt. To the relief of the girls, the old baggy training pants that ripped easily and tripped some shorter girls were scrapped. Set to replace them, to the joy of most males attending: knee-length skirts and tight black leggings that stretched mid-calf. Blinding white leggings would be worn to games, but never during practice.

"That's gonna stain," thought Annie, folding a pair. "I'd have preferred red and black, to be honest, but you can't teach an old dog new tricks."

Kolette sort of understood her fashion-forward teammate's concern. Teal was not Annie's color. Thanks to Annie, everyone knew that. But teal did draw out Kolette's navy blue eyes, which she secretly liked. Her father could not protest mandated school attire, which she loved. Joseph Wilson's eyes stuck to her back like glue, which made her heart leap and cheeks burn.

"I think..." Kolette shied from continuing her thought. She was in no way a fashionista or one too preoccupied with image.

"No! What? What's on your mind?" Annie leaped at the chance, the very slim chance, that the ultimate tomboy could actually care about her appearance.

"I think I like it."

Annie grinned broadly. "Liking all the attention! Yeah?"

Kolette almost shouted to the contrary, but the truth persuaded her. Quietly, she told Annie. "I do."
