Hello everyone! Here's a new chapter of the story, a bit late but I had good reasons for it, like finishing the first season of this story and starting the checking of season 2. Like I've said before, the chapters were checked and edited some times before I posted them and I'll start to do it with the second season as well.
Thank you for the views I got in each part, they mean a lot because I guess the story is good. If you want leave me a response, or if you have any doubt leave a comment, everything matters. Enjoy this!
The characters and the plot are property of Julie Plec and the tv show team, I own the characters I created and the changes I made in the story.
Normal POV
A couple of days later, Elena was in her bedroom with Stefan talking about the accident with the strange man, and since that one was a vampire Stefan had brought her vervain jewelry to protect her along with Jeremy and Jenna. Meanwhile, Jeremy was downstairs when a pizza they had ordered arrived, he opened the door and invited the delivery guy in to leave the pizza while Elena went downstairs to pay. The guy received the money and after waving goodbye he left.
The next day at the Salvatore boarding house, Stefan got in the library and found Damon surrounded by books as he looked through the shelves and threw more books on the floor.
-What are you looking for Damon?- he asked when he stopped and looked at him curiously.
-Nothing to worry about- the older guy answered without looking at him, still going through a bookcase.
-No, but putting Elena at risk, that worries me- affirmed the younger one coming closer.
-What are you talking about?- Damon asked pretending not to know while he was looking through a book.
-I'm talking about Atlanta. You're lucky that I knew she was okay- Stefan clarified seriously.
-Oh yeah, Elena and I had fun- he revealed as he stopped looking and smiled- And let me guess, a pretty blonde girl told you- he hinted even though it was obvious that the younger one would seek her help.
-I get it. It bothers you that one of us can be with the one that we love and poor Katherine is out of reach. Unless there's another way for you to get into the tomb. Is that what Bree said?- he inquired while he leaned against the bookcase and Damon seemed tense.
-You're pathetic when you inquire- his brother mocked, trying to deflect the answer.
-And you're transparent trying to evade me. Didn't you talk to our sister half witch to help you?- he asked as if it was an obvious answer, making Damon a little irritated.
-Why would I talk to her? To get a lecture on how bad it'd be to open the tomb? No thanks, her normal complaints are enough for me- Damon replied trying to seem calm- Besides, don't you have school?- he reminded him to pick up another book and ignore him. Stefan stared at him for a few more moments and left the library, while the older vampire looked up at him as he left.
Jeremy was in school about to leave history class, when Alaric gave him his essay with a good grade for his work. His teacher took the moment to borrow his ancestor Johnathan Gilbert's journal to read, and the boy gave it to him and then left.
In the school courtyard Elena was walking when she saw Caroline and decided to approach her to talk to her. For some time she'd been trying to get along with the blonde girl since she was her boyfriend's family, but sometimes because of the blonde's attitude she had little success in her attempt to get along. She decided to take the chance to talk to her about her recent approach to Matt.
-Caroline, hi, can we talk?- she greeted her as soon as she approached the blonde who nodded.
-Sure, what did you want to tell me?- asked the older one after they sat down at a table.
-I wanted to talk to you about what's going on between you and Matt- Elena started to say, and Caroline already felt she wasn't going to like it- I wanted to tell you that I'm not really fond of the idea considering your secret, but if you promise to never compel him or hurt him I think we'll be fine- she explained waiting for a reaction, and she only received a face that seemed irritated.
-Matt and I hung out a couple of times, but I didn't know that I needed your permission for that- replied the heretic a little sarcastically- Also, if something happens between us I can say it's the same as what happens between you and my brother, you two are together even though you are human- she reminded her. Elena knew that she was right but she couldn't help but try to protect her friend.
-I'm not trying to tell you what to do, I just wanna make sure he's fine with whoever he wants to be with, that's all- said the younger girl hoping that she'd calm down, she didn't expect to sound so bad, or to receive that reaction- I'm not trying to get into anything or to make it about me- she added tiredly.
-No offense, but it's all about you around me. You're with one of my brothers while the other one is obsessed with someone just like you, Matt still hasn't gotten over you and we all know that- admitted Caroline a little irritated, she was annoyed that everyone loved the girl.
-It's not a big deal Caroline. I have nothing to do with your problem with Katherine. And I'm with Stefan now. Matt understands that and he knows he has to move on- Elena clarified while she opened the bag with her lunch to eat her sandwich and Caroline took her bag.
-Look, I wouldn't hurt Matt or compel him if I can help it. And I don't hurt people unless they make me angry. But here's a tip: don't try to tell me what to do- she suggested while she stood up and put her bag on her shoulder, then walked away before Elena could speak.
After school, Matt was filling out a job application at the Grill to work as a waiter, and ran into an old student called Ben that also worked there. A few tables away from them, Elena was telling Bonnie about her talk with Caroline and they both agreed that the blonde girl sometimes could be a little difficult to deal with, and they wondered how her brothers could have put up with her for so many years with that attitude.
She'd also taken the opportunity to tell Bonnie about her adoption and left her surprise just as she was, her friend believed she should ask Jenna about it no matter if the truth was good or bad and that it couldn't get any worse if she already had a vampire boyfriend, so with a little more confidence Elena left. When she was in the parking lot she got a call from the vampire that she had hit, who was following her at the time, so scared she got in her car quickly and drove off without him catching her.
Bonnie had gone to pay the bill for their order when she ran into Damon who was trying to make a fresh start with her, but the witch was just getting upset by his presence and wanted him away from her so she tried to threaten him. But their conversation attracted the attention of Ben, who came over to see if Bonnie was okay and Damon left angry that he couldn't kill him.
After escaping from the strange vampire, Elena went to Stefan's house to talk to him.
-Why me? What does he want with me? And, and if he's trying to kill me, why call first?- she wondered nervously as she sat in their library while he sat at the table across from her.
-That's because we're predators Elena. We hunt, we stalk. It's often as exciting as the kill. I want you to take this- the vampire affirmed, handing her the Gilbery compass.
-This is Jeremy's pocket watch. How did you get it?- she inquired confused, checking it.
-I took it from Damon, who took it from Logan, who must have taken it from you- Stefan revealed.
-What happened to it?- the younger girl continued asking while she checked the object, very confused.
-Well, it's not just a watch. It's a, it's a sort of compass, but it points to vampires- he explained, taking the object and showing her how it worked. There the needle of the compass began to spin until it pointed at Stefan, leaving Elena surprised by the truth of the invention.
-Why did my father have it?- asked the brunette, glancing between him and the compass.
-The Gilberts were one of the founding families, and back in 1864 they were among those who sought to eradicate vampires. The compass was used to find us- he clarified, looking slightly at her.
-Did you know them?- the human wanted to know, curious about the town's past.
-Yes. I want you to keep this. That way, you'll know if you are ever in danger- affirmed the older one touching one of her cheeks as she nodded, then Elena smiled and kissed him for a few moments, they separated and smiled again with affection, staying in the library for a while.
While, Caroline had stayed at the school in charge of the organization of the dance, and was working on a poster with the help of Matt, who agreed to accompany her.
-I've never seen you such a mess- Matt commented with a smile, making her smile.
-Don't make fun- she told him mockingly while she ran her paintbrush over the boy's arm, smudging it.
-I mean, I just thought that you told everyone else what to do- the human tried to say trying to smudge her, but she pulled back with a smile and they continued painting.
-Well, I do that too. But if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Thanks for helping me though- Caroline admitted, and while she painted she looked up at him with a small smile- You know, this is nice, this thing of spending time together. Who would have thought, you and me?- she added, glancing into his eyes for a moment as Matt turned around to get a better look at her.
-Well, I've always found you funny and nice- he clarified making both of them smile and they continued with their work on the poster. Caroline then continued with their conversation.
-And what will you wear for the dance? Do you need help choosing clothes?- she offered, focused on her tasks.
-Uh, I'm not going to the dance- the human denied, making the heretic look at him curiously.
-Why not? Is everything okay?- she asked, hoping that the boy didn't have any problems.
-Yeah, it's just that I gotta work, waiting tables at the Grill- Matt told her, surprising her.
-Really? Since when do you work?- she wanted to know, she was happy to know he got a job and she was about to talk more about it but apparently the boy didn't take her question well.
-It's a job. You know, some of us have to work, Caroline. With our mom here and there, things are hard- he replied not expecting her to say that, and she looked at him.
-Wait, I didn't mean that. I meant that I didn't know you had a job- the blonde tried to fix the situation since she didn't want her friend to get angry with her because of a misunderstanding.
-Well, I do. I'm sorry, but I gotta go- Matt said while he put down the paintbrush and left. Caroline tried to call him without success and stared at the paint in irritation.
Elena was at home and decided to talk to Jenna about her adoption before they left for the dance. Jenna agreed to tell her what she knew about her birth, one night a pregnant teenager had shown up at her father's clinic that took care of her, and within days of her birth her mother disappeared and she was adopted by the Gilberts, who took it upon themselves to pass her off as their biological daughter. Other than that, Jenna was able to tell her that her mother's name was Isobel.
At the Salvatore mansion, Damon was at the library desk writing down the names of the members of the founding families, when Stefan came in and approached him while hiding something.
-You got the hair right- the older man commented for his hair without looking up, but Stefan dropped a book on the desk in front of him- Why are you bringing me father's journal?- he asked him when he saw the book slightly and recognized it, hiding his bewilderment.
-Cause you were looking for it- he answered while simply crossing his arms in front of him.
-And why would I want it?- questioned the older one, looking up at his brother.
-I don't know, Damon. Maybe you want to do a little bit of posthumous bonding. Go ahead, enjoy it, read it. I have, and nowhere there does it say anything about Katherine or the tomb, or how to open it- the younger one explained, walking in front of the desk for a few moments and then stopping to stare at him.
-I'm not surprised. Man could barely write his own name, he didn't look as smart as grandma- admitted the vampire opening the journal and began to look through it.
-I'm sorry it won't help you with your diabolical plan, the sequel- he mocked making him smirk for a moment- You know, I could help you- he offered moving a little closer to the desk.
-You? Help me? I don't know. It seems a little unnatural- Damon clarified leaning back in his chair.
-I'll do anything to get you out of this town, even release Katherine- he affirmed seriously while he leaned against the desk, trying to convince him that he wanted to help.
-What about the other 26 vampires?- the older man asked, curious about his strange offer.
-No, no, no. They can't leave. They have to stay up, but Katherine, I would consider that- Stefan agreed without looking away from his brother, who was staring at him doubtfully.
-What are you doing? Hmm? What's your angle?- inquired the vampire without taking his eyes off him.
-Think about it- said the other vampire without moving from his position.
-Why would I trust you?- he questioned looking away from him and continued working on the names.
-See, that's your problem Damon. You apply all of your shortcomings to everyone else. If history's any indication, there's only one liar between the two of us- his brother stated, staring at him for a few moments and tapped the journal lightly, then walked away leaving him in thought.
Elena was getting ready for the dance when the vampire compass started to work, but she being distracted with the hair dryer didn't hear it was working until a while later and worried she called her boyfriend that was going there according to Damon, and told him that the compass was working. She was waiting for Stefan when the vampire out of nowhere appeared and attacked her trying to bite her, being pushed away by Stefan who got there before the guy could sink his fangs into her neck.
The guy ended up being thrown into the kitchen away from Elena, who fell on the floor. After grunting at Stefan the vampire ran out of the house, then Stefan rushed over to Elena to check her for some injury and hugged her to comfort her. After a while they were joined by Damon at the Gilbert house who after asking him several questions about the vampire, suggested that that night the three of them would go to the dance to trap the vampire and get rid of him using Elena as bait, who agreed to participate despite Stefan's insecurity about the plan.
At the school the dance had already started, Elena walked in with the Salvatore brothers one on each side looking around while everyone was dancing. When Stefan and Damon left her to look around, Elena found herself at the drinks table with Bonnie and they got to talking.
-What is Damon doing here?- Bonnie asked curiously at noticing the guy with Stefan.
-He wanted to come. I promise, he'll behave- assured her Elena looking at the two of them for a moment.
-First you try to talk to Caroline, and now you want to go out with Damon? You want the three siblings to like you?- her friend asked jokingly, making her laugh a little.
-With Caroline it's weird because sometimes she's nice and sometimes she's mean, but she has always been like that. And if I'm gonna be with Stefan, then I have to learn to tolerate Damon and Caroline. It's not like I can get rid of them- she excused herself, not wanting to talk about her problem there.
-Not a bad idea- joked the witch and then smiled, making Elena laugh again.
Caroline had prepared for the dance with some of her clothes from that time and had been with some friends until she saw her brothers away from Elena and walked towards them.
-Wow, I didn't expect to see you both here- she greeted approaching them, who smiled at the sight of her- I have to say you look decent, you look good- she complimented them jokingly, making them smile again.
-You don't look bad yourself, little sis. I see you opened the 50's closet- commented the oldest of them jokingly at seeing what the blonde was wearing, who smiled proudly.
-Well yes, I wasn't gonna spend on clothes or something like that when this looks really good. Although it took me an hour to get ready- affirmed the youngest girl while she waved her hand over her outfit, making Stefan chuckle- What are you two doing at the dance?- she interrogated curious, she thought only one of them would come.
-Damon came because we're taking care of Elena. Since a couple of days ago a vampire is chasing her and today before the dance he tried to attack her- answered Stefan in a low voice close to her.
-Uh, that sounds bad. Do you want me to help you with something?- she offered trying to help them.
-I don't think you have a spell to attract vampires. But do you have something that could be useful?- asked Damon looking at her a bit seriously. As she thought about it she came up with something.
-How about a barrier to lock him in the school? I only need the one who saw him unless you know his name- she told them her idea, and from their faces they seemed to like it. They decided that Damon would keep an eye on Elena while his siblings went to the main doors of the school for the spell. At arriving Caroline stood in front of one of the doors with Stefan beside her.
-Okay, give me your hand and think on the vampire. I can't think 'vampire obsessed with Elena Gilbert' or only I will be able to get out- mocked the heretic making him roll his eyes while he gave her a hand, which she took leaving the other on a wall, and she started- Prope Atis Porta Enua Quod Capti- she recited, after a few moments they let go of each other's hands and opened their eyes.
-Is that it? Did it work? - Stefan asked her, hoping to know how this spell worked.
-The spell is for everyone but the target to get out, so now he's trapped in here. It's amazing, I know- boasted the girl making him smile and they went back into the dance.
Stefan went to find Elena who asked him where he had gone, then they approached Damon who seemed to have annoyed Bonnie since she ended up leaving with Caroline who was with her talking. Elena started dancing with Stefan, being watched by the oldest vampire who like his brother was watching the surroundings looking for any vampire, and they talked about how the only pictures of him from the 50's were with Caroline.
Meanwhile, Jeremy was enjoying the dance when out of nowhere Anna came, whom he had seen in the afternoon and he'd told her of the dance, who decided to show up and they enjoyed the dance together.
Bonnie and Caroline, who had sent a message to her brothers, had gone to the Grill still dressed for the dance, and Matt saw them standing near a table so he decided to approach them.
-You're looking for Ben, aren't you?- Caroline asked her friend without seeing Matt behind their back.
-I'm just seeing where the hot guy is- Bonnie tried to justify herself looking at the bar.
-You are being too obvious, try to hide a little bit- she suggested at seeing what she was doing.
-I'm not being obvious, I'm just looking at the bar. Also, I don't want you to say something bad about him, can you?- she asked making the heretic roll her eyes for a moment without looking at her.
-Something bad? Let me guess: "You like him? A sad jock who just stands at a bar serving drinks for a living? You could do better"- she said mockingly, not realizing that Matt had heard and angrily turned away, and she added- I wasn't going to say anything bad. I'd just suggest that you try to get to know him a little before you act like a stalker with him. I'm not an evil blonde, you know?- she advised her with a slightly teasing look surprising Bonnie.
-Wow Caroline, I didn't expect you to say something like it. That's nice- affirmed the witch smiling at her, sometimes the blonde girl wasn't as bad as she seemed. Then they both saw Matt passing near them and the heretic tried to greet him but he ignored her, making her confuse.
At the dance Stefan and Elena were dancing, and Alaric took the opportunity to approach Damon. He introduced himsel and started talking to him trying to get information out of him taking advantage of being his siblings' teacher and Damon being their guardian, but at thinking he was overreacting Alaric walked away.
Caroline and Bonnie were still sitting at the Grill, the latter was still watching Ben and the former was confused by Matt's slightly odd attitude.
-Tonight looked like it was going to be better- the older one commented a little irritated.
-You're just sad about what happened. Go and talk to him, you're already strong so go there and be fearless- Bonnie encouraged her, she may not like the relationship but the blonde seemed to like the boy.
-You should do it too, you're a great girl. Don't stay lurking in the bar- Caroline cheered her up with a smile, then the witch stood up and went to the bar while the heretic tried to listen in on the conversation and heard how her friend got a date after flirting with Ben. Caroline saw Matt walking near her so she stopped and went for him.
-Matt, are you upset with me for the minsunderstanding today or is there something I didn't know about?- asked Caroline stopping near the boy who stopped and turned around to look at her.
-No Caroline, I'm not upset- he tried to tell her but the girl irritated kept talking.
-And then why are you acting so weird with me?- she questioned wanting answers.
-I'm not, I'm working on cleaning a table. You know, that's what sad jocks do for a living- Matt replied puzzling her, and before he could leave she grabbed his arm.
-Before you get mad at me, you could be a friend and ask me why I said something like that. But actually it seems that you think that I'm just a mean girl like everyone else. You might ask me before assuming, because I can't stand those who act like idiots with me- declared the heretic throwing him an annoyed look and walked away from the human who looked at her doubtfully.
Anna was helping Jeremy with his chores at the dance, she took that chance to ask him for his ancestor's journal, but she discovered that Jeremy had given it to his history teacher. She insisted that they go get it, but then her eyes changed so she walked away from him. She was walking down the hallway when she saw her ally and she sped towards him.
-What are you doing here?- asked the guy when he had her in front of him.
-I'm trying to get the journal, as in sticking to the plan, something you're not doing. Leave the girl alone- said the older woman looking tiredly at the guy, who was the one who had followed Elena.
-I like her. She looks like Katherine- he affirmed, smiling with amusement a little at the thought of Elena.
-She's not Katherine, okay? Katherine is in the tomb- she reminded him, angry at his games.
-I know, but until we open that tomb, I got her to play with- admitted the vampire with some amusement at his idea, not caring too much about deviating a little from the main plan.
-Don't be stupid. That girl is with the Salvatore brothers- she clarified, staring at him seriously.
-They don't scare me, they never have- declared the young one without considering it important.
-Please, Noah. Don't do this. You're gonna ruin everything- the vampire asked him again.
-You have nothing to worry about. I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. You will get what you came for. Just let me have my fun. She looks like Katherine- Noah excused himself again to calm her down, stared at her for a few moments and left. While Anna just stared at him.
Elena was having fun at the dance when she saw Noah, so she went after Damon while Stefan went to chase the vampire through the school corridors, but when he caught up with him he noticed it wasn't Noah but an ordinary boy and rushed back to the dance realizing that it had all been a trap. The girl was looking around for Damon when Noah called her and threatened her to come out into the halls or he would kill her brother Jeremy, so she just went to the door.
The brunette started running through the hall trying to get away from Noah and ended up in the cafeteria, but the older guy found her and tried to attack her by throwing her near a table and she fell on the floor. The girl grabbed some pencils she saw on the floor, but Noah grabbed her and pushed her against the wall ready to bite her when she stabbed him in the stomach with a pencil and other in one hand. When the guy was distracted, Elena jabbed another pencil into him and pushed him away from her, then grabbed a mop and broke it to try to stake him with a piece and he stopped her ready to bite her in the neck, but then Stefan showed up and pushed him away from her. Before Noah tried to attack Elena again, Damon arrived and gave Stefan a stake which he drove into Noah.
After some torture, Noah confessed to them that he knew them and Katherine from before and wanted to open the tomb, which he revealed could be opened with Emily's grimoire and they needed Johnathan Gilbert's journal to find it and open the tomb. Then they asked him if he was working with someone, but at not wanting to tell them anything Stefan drove the stake in his heart after deciding it with his brother silently, surprising Elena.
Out of nowhere they heard noises and saw Alaric walking down the hall, so Damon got out and quickly approached him. Using compulsion Damon tried to find out what in town the teacher wanted, at thinking he wasn't a danger to them and that he knew nothing about him other than he was the brother of his students, he ordered him to forget the conversation and left. But what he didn't know was that Alaric had vervain in one of his hands.
Later the brothers were talking about what had happened that night, Stefan realized that Damon wanted their dad's journal to see if it contained the location of the grimoire. He repeated to his brother his offer to help him open the tomb and free Katherine as long as they both left Mystic Falls and left him alone, after a moment of hesitation if whether or not to trust him Damon agreed to let him help him with his plan.
Caroline had received a call from Stefan in which he told her everything that had happened and she explained him that her spell was gone because their target was dead. After some small talk she ended the call, and was about to leave the Grill when she saw Matt calling her and she stopped.
-What do you want now Matt? If I already know that you actually think I'm a horrible person- she exclaimed a little irritated as soon as the boy was in front of her.
-I don't think you're horrible, but I want to know why you said the sad jock thing- he clarified wanting to know what she meant by that, it'd left him a bit discouraged.
-Bonnie thought I'd say something bad about Ben and I gave her an example of what she thought I was going to say, the sad jock thing, but I actually suggested she get to know him before trying to date him. In fact I think the only thing that matters is that she gets to know the guy before stalking him- she explained in detail leaving the human surprised, which made her a little sad- Did you really think I said all that for real? Then you do think I'm a bad person- she affirmed discouraged.
-No Caroline, I don't think that you're bad or evil. I was just surprised that you told her something so nice- confessed Matt, annoyed with himself for having misjudged her so badly.
-Can you be that surprised? When did I give you examples of being like that?- she claimed annoyed and saddened at the boy- I know that sometimes I'm a little dramatic and kinda rude, I'm like that according to how people are with me. But I didn't think I was so terrible that you believe so low of me. Do you think I'm just a cruel and spoiled blonde girl?- she questioned with insecurity, she just wanted to go home.
-I'm sorry, okay? I should've talked to you before judging you, but I didn't like that since I think I felt identified- the human revealed uncomfortably, she was still upset but she looked at him softly.
-I think I accept your apology. But I still think we could talk, at what time do you get off?- she wanted to know to continue talking later, maybe in a while she wouldn't be in a bad mood anymore.
-Look, this thing we have, it's nice and it feels really good, and I know that you want to take the next step- started Matt, leaving her a little confused by his answer.
-How do you know? Did you ask me?- she replied a little seriously, and after a little hesitation he continued.
-But I'm not over Elena yet. I don't know if I will, but if we continue, I could ruin things and we'll lose this. And this is the only good thing I have right now. So if it doesn't work out, I'm gonna hurt you and I don't want to do that- Matt admitted somewhat conflicted, he liked the blonde girl but he had to tell her the truth, after a little tension the heretic answered.
-Well, there's a problem Matt. You went ahead without being forced and created mental scenarios of all this, and decided to give up before you even tried. This is almost the most normal thing I have in my life, you make me feel normal and good. But this thing that we have don't worry about losing it, because it doesn't exist anymore- Caroline stated a little hurt and irritated by the whole conversation, and turned around to leave the place leaving Matt angry at himself.
Caroline was walking towards the school where she had left her car. She was upset with herself for letting all that happen, she shouldn't want to be with guys who were still obsessed with their ex-partners, or maybe she should just stay alone until the time came that she felt it was okay. She was deep in her thoughts when she heard someone calling her and saw Matt in his car, she tried to keep walking since she didn't want to talk to him but the boy followed her until he got out and walked until he reached her, and she turned around.
-What do you want?- the heretic asked angrily, but she was surprised when the boy took her face and kissed her, and to be honest that felt good. They kissed for a few more moments and then broke apart with his hands still on her face.
-I don't know if it will work, but I wanna try it- confessed Matt to her and she couldn't help smiling at him, which he reciprocated and they continued kissing.
At the Gilbert house, Elena was with Stefan resting from what had happened, feeling proud and good about how she had defended herself against Noah, something that Stefan wished that she hadn't had to do. At that moment Stefan decided to tell her the truth.
-I need to tell you something, and I don't know how you're gonna feel about it- the older guy started to say, which made the girl stop drinking the tea that her boyfriend had prepared for her.
-What?- she asked, looking at him with concern at his seriousness.
-I told Damon that I would help him get into that tomb to get Katherine back. But it was a lie. I let him believe that he could trust me- he explained calmly to relax her.
-Well, then why were you so worried about telling me?- the younger girl inquired curiously.
-Because he can be very persuasive, and you two have bonded lately- Stefan clarified, not adding the fact that he hoped he wouldn't use her like he'd used their sister.
-That doesn't mean I trust him. It's gonna take a lot more than just a road trip and a rescue for me to forget who Damon is and everything he's done- the brunette admitted with some amusement at the thought that she could get along with the oldest Salvatore instantly.
-I don't wanna be his enemy, Elena. And I know this plan is going to hurt Damon and infuriate my sister because she wants us to get along. But I can't let him do it- exclaimed the vampire staring at her, feeling bad about his siblings' reactions to his idea.
-Then don't. And I'll help you, whatever it takes, ok?- Elena assured squeezing his hand while smiling warmly at him, which her boyfriend did the same. Then Stefan wrapped his arms around Elena, who settled on his shoulder feeling good.
Outside the Grill, Ben was closing the place when out of nowhere Anna appeared behind him and pushed him against a wall with her powers, but then he reflexively put her against that wall. It turns out that Ben was also a vampire and was working together with Anna and Noah to get the Gilbert journal, and Bonnie liking him was part of the plan.
And that's all for now! It was a bit difficult to show what I wanted to show in the part and add the important scenes for the plot. Please tell me if I did it right!
You see, I wanted to show that Caroline is actually a nice and friendly person but she tends to be kinda mean when she doesn't like someone or she doesn't like what she is told (she was mean to Elena because of her words, that are weird for her since she dates Stefan). For this she's used to being called or is seen as a typical blonde mean girl, and she didn't like Matt thinking of her like it because apart from liking him, he's a good friend for her. Like before, I hope I could show this, and if you have advice or something to say leave a review. I leave a summary of next part. See you!
Chapter 13 - Children Of The Damned:
Stefan, Damon and Elena search for the Gilbert journal that can help them find a way to open the tomb, but the search takes an unexpected turn. In the past Giuseppe, the Salvatore's father, tells his sons of a dangerous plan, and Caroline makes certain discoveries.
