The last 15 minutes on their route back to the house involves kind pleasantries, exchanged phone numbers, and a newfound, genuine friendship?…mentorship? Olivia's not sure yet, but she's grateful for whatever it is.

They talk about everything and nothing. Kayla tells—overshares—a bit about her childhood, her sisters, her gay awakening, her and Karen's blossoming relationship—their first date, their favorite things to do together, their hallpasses, which is a term Olivia finds both hilarious and enlightening. There are one or two Congresspeople on the list that make Liv's eyebrows shoot up her forehead in surprise, and they both find themselves cackling at her reaction.

When they make it back from their walk, the atmosphere is immediately lighter. The house is quiet, save for soft chatter coming from the living room where Fitz and Karen are sitting–Fitz in the armchair, Karen lounging on the couch, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, the cold compress still resting on her forehead. The color returned to her cheeks is evident, and as she offers a little smile, Kayla immediately glides over to her side.

She bends down, her knees hitting the rug next to the sofa as she takes Karen's hand in hers and kisses the back of it.

"How are you?" She asks, her eyes searching Karen's for any lingering signs of her migraine–the faint twitching of her eyelids, the slight wince to sound stimulation–but she finds none.

Karen just grins at her, her other hand coming up to cup Kayla's jaw tenderly. "I'm okay. I'm…I'm sorry for earlier. For scaring you."

Kayla shakes her head and shushes her sweetly as she leans over and kisses Karen's forehead like she had when all of this first began. "I'm just glad you're up and awake."

"Hmm, I've been thinking of something that would surely heal me right up…" Karen teases, her eyes fixing on Kayla's lips hungrily.

Her girlfriend chuckles but obliges easily, bending down once again, this time placing a fleeting kiss to Karen's lips. When she pulls back though, she sees the dramatic pout consuming Karen's expression, and it makes her laugh again. "You are clearly feeling much better."

"Ha!" Karen cackles as she wiggles herself down the couch a bit to make room for Kayla to sit. She raises up and then settles her head in Kayla's lap. Sometimes, she hates when her head is touched during a migraine. Other times, she craves it. And as Kayla's fingernails scratch soothingly along Karen's scalp, she almost purrs. "So, how was the walk?"

"It was good. Really good," Kayla confesses, looking to Olivia, who has already found her way into the chair next to Fitz, for confirmation.

The older woman nods and smiles as she kicks her feet up onto the coffee table and reaches for her partner's hand.

"Yeah," she affirms. "It was so good. We had a really good talk. Baby girl liked it too. She's giving me happy kicks right now…" And at the mention of the baby, Fitz tugs her up out of her chair and into his lap so he can greet the baby too.

"Awh," Kayla gushes. "I can't wait to be pregnant someday…"

It slips out of her mouth so quickly that she actually gasps when she realizes what she's said. She feels all eyes in the room on her, but the only ones that matter are Karen's, which are peering up at her dreamily, and before Kayla can even attempt to take it back, Karen is speaking.

"You would be the most adorable pregnant woman ever. Oh my god. I would fuss over you relentlessly, finally pay you back for all of the times you've taken care of me…" Karen imagines, her eyes half-closed from the pressure in her hair and the lingering effects of her medication which are loosening her tongue a bit.

Kayla playfully shushes her. She loves Karen, and it's technically her fault for bringing it up in the first place, but they've only been dating a short while and it's definitely too early to be fantasizing about future pregnancies in front of her girlfriend's father.

"No need to rush over there, you two," Fitz teases, his eyes wide but full of jest. "I'm not quite ready to be a grandpa. Plus, I think it might give baby girl a complex to be an infant and an auntie so…"

The three women chuckle in unison, Karen attempting to fight off the blush that rises on her cheeks. She's not used to her family talking so…openly about things like the future and babies. Luckily, Liv changes the conversation easily.

"So, what did you both get up to when we were gone?"

The house is too quiet with everyone out and Karen sleeping. It reminds him of the time when he tried living here, alone. It reminds him of the deep, agonizing loneliness of that time. Of sleeping in the guest bedroom, of refusing to enter the primary suite because he had built it for her, and it didn't feel right sleeping in it without her there.

Fitz tries not to dwell on it much because those times are over. He doesn't have to upset himself with memories of that depressing season because the one he's in now is one that he would have never imagined possible during those times.

So, the house is empty and quiet, for now, and that's okay. He's so appreciative of the growth they've all experienced over these last few years. He's so thankful to be here, lounging in the cozy leather armchair, admiring the stonework and the fireplace and all the features of this house that make it feel like home.

He still can't fully believe Olivia's suggestion earlier today—moving here, having their baby, spending the newborn phase here, learning how to be parents together here. Younger, naive, foolishly-in-love Fitz would have never believed it, and wiser, graying Fitz is struggling to, as well.

The images swirling around in his head are so beautiful and so fanciful as his eyes scan around the room. Walking through the front door, pausing in the atrium to soak in the feeling of bringing their baby home. Watching Olivia as she walks the baby through the house, showing her where she will be living with them as a family. Liv explaining everything she's seeing, as though their infant could understand and process it like a grown adult. Liv curled up on the couch right there, nursing their baby. Laying the baby in the newborn lounger over there.

It's all of his dreams coming true at once, and just when his eyes begin to dampen, he hears Karen stirring, padding her way out into the living room.

"Hey kiddo," Fitz calls softly. "How's it goin'?"

She sighs as she plops down onto the sofa, resting the compress back on her eyes just in case and yanking the blanket from its place draped over the cushions to wrap herself in. "Better. Not 100%, but maybe 80… Good enough to get out of bed."

"Do you think that's smart? Getting out of bed right now? They aren't back yet if you want to go lay down…"

"I figured they weren't, but I don't know… I thought maybe—" Karen pauses, pushing the gel head wrap off her eyes and onto her forehead so she can look at her dad. "Maybe we could chat?"

It surprises Fitz, but he tries to not let her see that. Of course, their relationship has evolved tremendously, but it's not yet innate for them to do this.

"Sure, Kare Bear. What's up?"

She rolls her eyes theatrically. "Daaad, are we ever going to retire that nickname?"

"Nope. It's one of my only rights as your dad these days, my dear," he says, smiling fondly at her.

Her laugh resonates around the room, and there's a notable sound of relief in it.

"So, what's on your mind?" He presses.

"I…I don't know. I've just been thinking a lot. About the future… you know, post-graduation stuff. What the next few months are going to be like and… I guess… Do you—" She stops, thinks, and tries again. "How did you know? With Liv, I mean. How did you know she was… 'it' for you?"

Internally, he knows there are some feelings— Guilt? Discomfort? Awkwardness? —that he should feel at his daughter asking this of someone who isn't her mother. But the only feeling he consciously recognizes is gratitude. That he's found a person worthy of being 'it' for him. That his daughter loves her and recognizes her place in his life, so much so that she's willing to ask questions.

"Well, I hate saying it because…" It's his turn to pause, considering if he really should go there with his daughter. She's an adult, but there's a level of revealing his own vulnerability that he's still learning to be comfortable with. "Because there were many years I knew but was still married to your mother. And I hate that. I hate admitting that to you kids."

"Dad, you're human. I don't have this illusion that you're perfect, sorry to say, but we're here on the other side of it, so I'd prefer for you to be honest, if that's okay." Karen offers him a grin before urging again. "How did you know?"

"You know, I don't think there was ever a moment I consciously considered her being the one for me. She just always was. The first time I met her, she was…the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. And then, words were flying out of her mouth, and I realized she was not only gorgeous but one of the smartest people I'd ever met. Sharp, cunning, intelligent. She was magnetic, and the way she could control a room…it was electrifying. I just…I was mesmerized.

"And I tried. I tried to stay away from her, but something always pulled me back. I think that's when I realized how enamored I was with her… How I wasn't going to ever be able to let her go… When I forced us to be apart, only for me to literally be crippled by the separation. And somehow, it was always worth it. Every painful moment, every time we almost lost each other… I would do it all again if I knew that our ending could be this."

They let his words linger in the air between them, both considering the women in their lives and the adversity they endure for them.

"I'm happy for you, dad. Really." Karen shifts onto her side, curling up into a little ball on the couch and looking at him directly. "I—Liv is…She's incredible. I never imagined bonding so deeply with another parent figure, but I feel lucky that it's her."

"Me too." Fitz beams at her confession, wishing Olivia could hear it for herself. "So, you think Kayla is 'it' for you then?"

Karen stiffens slightly, not because she's unsure of her answer but because it feels scary confirming it. "Um, would I sound crazy if I said yes?"

Her voice is so soft, sounding almost timid, that it makes Fitz lean in to hear her properly. "Kare, I would never think you were crazy for that. I am your dad, so naturally I'm predisposed to worry about you… I don't want you to get your heart broken, but I see how you look at her. How she looks at you. I can tell how much you two love each other…"

"Yeah…" She agrees gently. "We do. Is that… Are you okay with that? If she is forever? I need to know now if you're not…if you still have hope for me finding a man to settle down with…"

Her eyes are so sad, so full of longing and fear. Fitz gets up from his chair and takes those few steps to sit on the couch next to his daughter's feet. She's still in a ball, so he coaxes her up, and he wraps his arms around her, holding her like he used to when she was a little girl.

"C'mere…shhh," he murmurs as tears start to fall from her eyes. "There's no need to cry. Shhh… I love you, sweetheart. I will tell you as many times as you need to hear… I am happy if you are happy, truly. Whether you end up with a guy or a girl, I want you to do what's right for you, and I'll love a son- or daughter-in-law just the same.

"Kare, this is what I care about in your future spouse…" He starts ticking his fingers as he lists. "They are good to you. They put you first. You love them, deeply and sincerely… It might be my guessing, but I'm pretty sure Kayla checks all those boxes, yes?"

Karen sniffles. "She does."

"So, there's that."

"Okay."

Fitz sighs, stroking her hair gently. "I will tell you this. There's nothing like feeling committed to the person that you love. I know coming out is a big step, and I know you say you're ready for it, but I want you to realize that…that's a huge sign of commitment—to yourself and your truth and to your future. You need to make sure you're ready for that, okay?"

Nodding, she pulls away from him and flops dramatically back onto the couch, head woozy from earlier still. "I know, but she makes me feel ready…"

He smiles softly. "Well, I think that's great, sweetie, but you need to be ready for you. You can't make this decision for her or because you think it's what she wants you to do. You need to do it because you want to do it. Because you want to live in your truth.

"Karen, I've made some shitty choices over the years, admittedly, but the ones that always got me in the most trouble were the ones that I made when I tried doing things for Olivia that she didn't want or really even need at the time. I see how Kayla looks at you. She doesn't need you to come out in order for her to love you."

Karen hums as she considers the truth in his words. "I guess… I don't know. I love her so much that I don't want to hide. I don't want to hide our relationship, but there are other reasons why I want to come out too."

"Yeah?" Fitz encourages.

"Yeah… Like, I think of all of the kids out there in conservative households who are terrified to come out—like I was—because they weren't sure if love was going to be on the other side of the truth. I think about Teddy—about the world I want for him to grow up in. But most importantly, I think about how I feel my most authentic self when I'm with her. I think about weekends up here as a family, I think about holidays together, I think about going to Pride parades… and it makes me feel like I finally know myself. And now that I know myself, I want the world to know me."

The way she beams at her confession makes him weak. She's so strong, and he doesn't always give her the credit she deserves.

"I think the world deserves to know you, because who you are is pretty damn amazing," Fitz says, and it makes her laugh in response.

"Well, thanks, Pops. We'll see how the Fourth goes… I'm not sure if I'll be so confident then."

"And whether you are or aren't, we'll all be there by your side… Me, Liv, your mom, and Kayla."

Karen hums, her face concentrated and obviously contemplating saying something.

"What?" Fitz asks, grinning at her expression which has turned into a sneaky smile.

"Oh, all this talk about commitment has me thinking…"

"Oh god, one step at a time, sweetie. No need to rush into a proposal so quickly. You just graduated and are about to come out, don't you think that's a lot? You don't have to take it so fast," Fitz rambles.

Karen bursts out in laughter, wincing slightly at the jolt to her head. "No! I'm not talking about me…"

"Oh. Uh…"

"Dad! Come on, you've been with Olivia for almost the majority of my life. You seriously aren't going to put a ring on it?" Karen teases playfully.

He rolls his eyes and scoffs. "Who said I wasn't?"

"Wait…you are?" she asks, her eyes widening in surprise. "You're gonna propose?"

If she was feeling better, she supposes she might jump up in surprise, maybe punch him for being so tight-lipped, but alas, her head still sort of hurts, so she settles for just gawking at him like he has three eyes. Truthfully, she brought it up to chastise him a little but getting confirmation that he does want to marry Olivia is much better.

"Yep. The ring's hidden here, actually. Didn't want her finding it back in DC."

"What?!" Karen guffaws. "You already have a ring?"

Fitz laughs and shakes his head. "You don't give your old man enough credit. I've got game, as the kids say."

"Ughh, okay I was about to give you massive props, and then you ruined it."

"So, you don't want to see the ring?" Fitz asks through chuckles.

"Well, I didn't say that! Show me, show me!"

"Here's a picture of it. I'm sure they'll be back soon so I don't want to go get it now…"

Fitz clicks open his phone and scrolls through his camera roll slowly, scanning for the picture of the ring. He finds it and tosses the phone over to Karen, who catches it easily.

Instantly, she's stunned. It's…perfect. Sleek, classy, exactly Olivia. An oval-cut diamond, at least 3 carats if Karen had to guess, suspended on a classic white gold band. It's surprisingly simple, but expensive-looking and beautiful.

When she looks back up at Fitz, he laughs again, reading the shock on her face. "Again, you don't give me enough credit."

"Dad, that's…that's beautiful. She's going to love it."

"I hope so. She's fought me on this for so many years, now that she wants it, I just want it all to be perfect."

Karen smiles. "I'm sure it will be… How are you gonna do it?"

Fitz grabs his phone back from her, grinning at the message from Liv that pops up at the top—Almost back, how's Karen?. He types back a response before looking back up at Karen, sneakily. "I may actually need your help with that…"

It's incredible the things that living for longer periods of time in Vermont has taught Fitz. He has a greater appreciation for nature, for caretaking of the gardens and orchards, for birdwatching, which he had thought was an insanely geriatric activity, until he moved somewhere with more diverse species and actually found it quite entertaining.

The hobby he loves most though is cooking. It had been a journey of ups and downs as he learned the ins and outs of the kitchen, but now that he made it from novice to intermediate skill level, he and Olivia—of course, whose culinary expertise ends at boiling water and popping a bag of popcorn—are grateful for the time he spent learning.

Sure, most of his meals are simple and practical, but when he has guests up here in Vermont, he can't help himself from going all out, firing up the outdoor grill or pizza oven or smoker or whatever ungodly expensive kitchen appliance he wants out of his repertoire. Karen had unsurprisingly requested pizza, so as he set to work arranging ingredients and pans and crusts, the girls lounged on the back patio sipping mixed drinks—and mineral water for Olivia—while observing Fitz go to work.

"Can I tell them, Fitz?" Liv asks from her spot, plopped on the soft couch.

"Huh?" He questions, his back turned toward them as he faces the oven, adjusting the temperature dials.

"About our plan? With the baby?" She reminds him, laughing at his frazzled appearance when he turns and looks at her.

"Oh! Of course. Karen, don't be too disappointed, okay? I promise, we'll send the plane as often as you want," he teases before turning back toward the stone-lined, outdoor pizza oven.

"What? Why?" Karen asks, taking another swig of her gin and tonic and rubbing Kayla's leg that is resting in her lap as they sit cuddled together on the oversized loveseat. "What are you planning?"

"Well, we're thinking of staying out here—to have the baby, I mean," Olivia states, seeing Karen's eyes become wider at her words. "I know…which is why we can send the plane. You can come visit as often as you'd like, of course. We were just thinking of how nice it would be…no press, tons of quiet nights… I think it's the right move for us."

Karen smiles, her arm draping around Kayla's shoulders and pulling her in closer. "That's…that's sweet. I'm glad you all are doing that. I won't lie though…I'm kind of sad you won't be in DC when we start school, but I guess I'll have to take you up on your offer." She turns to her girlfriend and adds playfully, "I guess that means weekend trips on the private plane, if that's cool with you."

Kayla smiles at her and nods. "Private jet, baby snuggles, and fall in Vermont? Yeah, I'm there."

"Ooo, you're so right. Okay, I'm down."

Liv chuckles. "That was easy. I hope Teddy takes it that well…"

"Oh god. Yeah, didn't think about that," Karen commiserates. "I can help talk to him if you want. And we can bring him up here whenever we come. If it lines up with the custody agreement and all that…"

Fitz takes the opportunities to cross the porch to join them while the oven heats up. "Thanks, Kare. We'll see. I've got to talk with Mel about it all too…make sure she's comfortable with him flying and everything, but we'll let you know."

Silence lulls over the foursome as they listen to the sounds of crickets chirping in the nearby fields and the breeze rustling the leaves in the trees in the backyard. It's just warm enough to not be shivering but cool enough that they need blankets over their bare legs.

It has been less than 10 hours since Karen and Kayla arrived, but somehow as they all sit here in comfortable stillness, it feels like it's been a lifetime of this—of peaceful family moments, of owning their once-private relationships, of holding seemingly ordinary conversation together. It brings back the longing once again in Olivia, reminding her of what she wants and hopes for their future.

"What do you all want to do tomorrow?" She asks softly, not wanting to disturb the quiet air around them.

Karen looks to her girlfriend. "Hmm, I don't know! We heard there was a farmer's market in the town square and some hiking trails up north, but I'm happy to do whatever."

Fitz shoots her a look quickly.

"Oh, and I almost forgot, we…Kayla and I… we were wanting to treat you at some point tomorrow afternoon, Liv. Do something to say, 'thank you' for helping us get through all of this."

Liv glances between her and Fitz, whose expression had quickly returned to casually interested in his daughter's comments, as to not be suspicious. "That's–um–that's really nice of you guys, but really not necessary. I will always be there for you, no matter what, no 'thank you's required. Plus, he gets grumpy if he's left alone for too long…" She adds teasingly, poking Fitz in the ribs.

"Oh, please!" Fitz replies, rolling his eyes. "I am more than happy to let you all do your thing." He turns fully to Liv, cupping her jaw and kissing her confused face briefly. "You deserve it, Livvie. You know how many people you help that never get to say, 'thank you'?"

Her eyes narrow at him suspiciously. "I do…but this—we are basically family. You don't have to thank your family for sticking up for you."

"No… you don't have to, but I think we can. I think they should, if they want."

She turns to look at Karen again, who is smiling sheepishly. "I'm serious, I don't need anything."

"Sure, sure. You're not going to be saying that after the prenatal massage we have booked at 3:00," Karen laughs.

"Oh my god, my sister got a prenatal massage when she was pregnant with my nephew, and she said it changed her life. If you don't go, Olivia, I might take your place, just saying," Kayla says, laying her head on Karen's shoulder and giggling.

Finally, Olivia looks between the three of them and accepts the fact that maybe they are being sneaky about something and maybe they are just wanting to do something nice for her. She's so not used to that—letting people treat her to nice things—maybe she should be less bristly toward the idea.

"Okay…I'm in, but no more surprises, okay? The anxiety is not good for the baby," she states seriously, looking between Karen, Kayla, and Fitz, who all just chuckle in response.

Kissing her temple, he grins and replies, "No promises, Livvie. No promises."

Several hours later, dinner long passed and cleaned up, Liv and Fitz say 'goodnight' to the girls and retreat to their suite upstairs. As soon as the door is closed, she ventures to the closet to shed her athletic clothing from earlier and to pick out some fresh clothes to sleep in.

Dutifully, Fitz follows her every move and just when her hands come to pull down the straps of her little bodysuit, he steps forward, knocking her hands out of the way.

"You know how long I've waited to do this today?" Fitz asks, breathing against the back of her neck and kissing down her shoulder as he frees one side and then the other. Before he can pull it down any further, he spins her around and kisses her. "You look so good in this, Livvie."

She moans when the cool air hits her nipples as Fitz drags the spandex down past her breasts. He drops to his knees as he continues to tug the fabric down, planting kisses along her belly as he struggles to be gentle in removing the outfit from where it stretched the tightest over her bump.

When he pulls it down past her hips, he gasps. "Where are your panties, Miss Pope?"

Fitz's eyes gawk at her gorgeous naked skin, kissing below her belly button and then over to one side to nip at her hip bone, pulling the little outfit completely down her legs and letting her step out of it. She giggles at how his lips tickle her skin and how the hormones coursing through her body make her feel silly.

"I took them off, of course. Didn't want panty-lines," she replies while running her fingers through his hair.

"Panty-lines?" Fitz questions.

"You don't need to know, honey," she snickers.

When he stands back up with her, his hands are everywhere—brushing along her smooth skin, teasing her nipples, cupping her belly, squeezing her ass. She's already on edge, and she can feel him against her round stomach…he's already hard. Liv moans and kisses him, nipping his bottom lip playfully so that he opens and allows her to slip her tongue in.

He groans because she's always been the hottest, most adorable, the sexiest woman to him, and she's down-right irresistible pregnant… but his daughter is here, and he can't remember the last time he ever tried to have sex with children in the house. "Livvie…"

"Yes, Fitz?" She taunts in his ear, biting the lobe between her teeth.

"We can't… Karen—"

Liv huffs a humorless laugh. "You're cute, teasing me all day long, like you weren't wanting this from the moment we woke up."

"Of course, I want it," he confesses. "...but we can't… What if she hears us?"

"I can be quiet," Liv says, and Fitz immediately takes a step back from her, looking at her dubiously. "Okay, I can try to be quiet."

"That's more like it…" He dives back in, kissing her and caressing as much of her body as he can, until his mind is made up. "Okay, okay. Let's just—where will be the quietest?"

"Shower?"

"Karen Elizabeth—you did not!" Kayla hisses under the breath, rushing back to the side of the bed where Karen is lounging and sporting a sly grin.

"Hmm…did what? I'm not sure what you mean, babe. Did you find the eye drops you were looking for?" Karen teases, her eyes dropping to Kayla's hand.

"You very well know that I did not. You packed a fucking vibrator? For a weekend family trip, knowing very well that we would not be able to use it?" Kayla chides, tossing the baby pink oblong toy onto the comforter.

"Well, I was thinking either I… A) would be able to sneak you in here and enjoy it or B) would be so frustrated not being able to touch you that I would need it to get myself off. So…" The way Kayla huffs at Karen's lack of concern is comical, but when her face remains doubtful, Karen pushes herself up to sit and reels Kayla in between her legs. "Baby…"

"Karen…" She warns.

"I could have brought our other one…I thought I was being discreet with the vibe!"

Kayla clicks her tongue and rolls her eyes but smiles despite herself. "You did not think about bringing the strap here. Be fucking for real."

"I think you underestimate just how much I want you… How much I always want you."

"Your dad is in this house right now. What happens if he catches us? If he hears…?"

It's Karen's turn to roll her eyes. "Please, did you see how he was eyeing Olivia all day? That man is not leaving his bedroom until the sun comes up. Yes, it's revolting, but those are the facts, my dear." Her hands skim up the back of Kayla's bare thighs before stopping just below her ass, clad only in her soft black panties.

"Kare…" She tries again, but her resolve is withering by the second.

"You're telling me you don't want to get in this bed with me? You don't want me to…" Karen reaches up and brushes one of the loose curls away from her girlfriend's face. "...touch you? Kiss you? Take you apart until you're begging for me? You don't want me to use this little toy on you?"

"Baby…" she whimpers in between Karen's kisses. "It's kinda… loud…"

"That's fine… I can go acoustic if you'd like. Lady's choice…"

Kayla rolls her eyes again as she lets Karen guide her into her lap. She pushes Karen down onto her back abruptly as she straddles her hips. "You… talk… way too much."

Her lips glide along freckled, pale skin, sinking her teeth in the spot she knows Karen likes the best.

"I thought you liked it when I talked, sweetheart… When I tell you how good you are, how sweet you taste…" Karen teases, rolling Kayla under her and starting a similar attack on her neck as she starts pushing her sleep shirt up and off her body.

"C'mon, baby. Please," Kayla begs, tangling her fingers in her wavy hair and guiding her to her bare breasts.

Karen obliges, sucking an already pebbled nipple between her lips and grazing her teeth gently. "Mmm, so pretty…"

"Kare—I need…" She's panting, canting her hips up toward Karen's stomach, begging for more, begging for her touch.

"Shhh… I'll get you there, baby girl. Be patient…"

"Fuck, Fitz, please, oh my god–" Liv pants, her hips rolling, grinding herself against Fitz's tongue.

Their shower here in Vermont is dark and moody with its natural pebble stone wall complimented by deep gray marble accents and bench, where she's sat, thighs spread wide with his head between them. His fingers are inside of her, and it's heavenly.

"Shhh… Baby, quiet…"

"I–I can't…" She whimpers, tossing her head back and rubbing her nipples between slick fingers, coated in the lube they leave in here 'just in case.'

His fingers find every spot inside of her, and he loves watching her from this angle, knowing how good she feels. Shower sex during pregnancy has really just turned into going down on each other because they can't really manage anything else safely with her bump in the way. It's still incredible, nonetheless, but the way she's moving, the sounds she's making, clues him in that they're going to need to finish this in bed.

He sucks her clit between his lips, flicks his tongue softly, and curls his fingers, and it's just the right concoction to ease her into a blissful orgasm. She bites her bottom lip to stop herself from making too much noise and rests a hand on her belly as she takes calming breaths while she comes down.

"So beautiful, Livvie," he hums, stroking himself in a few firm passes. "C'mon…"

Offering a hand, he helps her to her feet, grabs some soap, and washes her body in slow, sensual circles, letting the suds wash away the lube from her breasts and the remnants of her arousal from between her thighs. When they exit the shower, still practically connected at the hip, he dries himself and then her off, kissing and worshiping every inch of her body he can, while she yanks off her shower cap before guiding him into their bedroom.

"Shhh… If I'm gonna give you what you want, baby, you have to be quiet," Karen whispers between Kayla's naked thighs, the vibrator already pushed up between her folds, not yet turned on.

"I—I will…please," Kayla whispers back, grinding her core along the length of the toy, begging her girlfriend to put it in, turn it on, something.

Karen obliges, turning it on and skimming it up along her slit to then rest against her clit, immediately beginning to rub small circles there with the head of the toy, where the vibration is the most powerful. Kayla keens, her back arching off the bed and thighs shaking automatically as Karen presses kisses along the insides of her thighs, sucking and nipping every so often.

Looking up at her, Karen is simply smitten. She loves this woman more than anyone she's ever known. She's beautiful, she's intelligent, she's everything. Then, she watches as she pouts, her braids cascading over her shoulders as she sits up in response to Karen turning the vibe off without warning.

"Bitch…" She shrieks playfully. "What the fuck?"

"Sorry, honey, you just looked so good, I had to…" And before she finishes her sentence, she leans in, taking Kayla's clit between her lips and sucking softly. She sucks and hums before trailing her tongue down between her labia then returning up and circling teasingly around her clit.

"Fuck, yes…" Kayla moans, a little too loudly, earning a light flick to her thigh.

When she's distracted, Karen returns the vibe, sliding it inside this time and continuing the suction on her clit. It's heavenly and perfect, and Kayla can't stop herself from coming.

Liv pushes him onto his back and climbs on top of him immediately, grinding her still-wet folds against his length. His fingers trail up her body before stopping briefly to pinch and roll her sensitive nipples then cup her neck, bringing her down into a passionate, open-mouthed kiss.

Lifting her hips up with one hand, he uses the other to grasp his cock, guiding it a few times through her wetness before lining himself up and letting her sit down onto him. As much as he loves to put her on her back and make love to her so deeply and intimately, this position allows her to control just how deep she wants it, what feels good in her body tonight, while still getting to watch the pleasure shine across her face.

Sex with a baby in her belly is an experience that she never would have imagined. It's oddly raw… She cries more, lets herself be consumed in whatever feeling their lovemaking brings up. It's intense, between the way they communicate with their bodies and the way their bodies are so in tune with one another. But at the same time, it's hot because she knows how much it turns Fitz on to see her like this—naked and pregnant with his baby.

He's barely inside of her, but she's panting. She feels so full that the sensation is almost overwhelming but after she rests for a few seconds, it turns into blissful pleasure and allows her to take a few more inches. When she's fully seated on him, she tugs at the back of his neck, coaxing him up as she leans back on her hands, starting a gentle grind with them both seated together.

It's slow, little pushes and pulls, but with their eyes locked together, it's perfect. He rests back on one of his hands to keep the angle just right but uses his other to caress her tenderly. Fitz brushes her hair behind her ear, teases a nipple, and helps her rock her hips, then his thumb glides along the soft skin of her stomach, and she sighs at the touch—so warm, so affectionate, so perfect.

All the while, he praises her, tells her how beautiful she is, how good she feels, how much he loves her. It's the perfect recipe to make her lose all thought, and when he notices her mouth tipping open, his fingers skim down beneath her round belly to rub against her clit.

"Ohh…baby. Right—ungh—right there… I—"

Her voice breaks and immediately she's coming, rolling her hips faster, tumbling into her orgasm and trying desperately to hold herself up with her hands behind her. Thankfully, Fitz scoops her up, hands lifting her back to capture a nipple between his lips, distracting her as he slips out of her and helps her down onto her back before rolling her onto her side and spooning up from behind.

He's inside of her again, and somehow, it's just as intimate as before, even though they can't see each other's eyes. It's so sexy like this, feeling him breathe encouragements against her neck while his hands roam all over her, and it doesn't take him long after a few minutes of rocking hips and quiet moans.

Fitz comes, surging into her, kissing her shoulder, telling her he loves her. It's so saccharine she considers consulting the dentist for fear of cavities, but god does she love it.

"Thanks for convincing me to do that," Kayla murmurs sleepy, pillowing her head on Karen's chest and sighing when she feels lips against her forehead.

"Anytime, sweetheart. Trust me, anytime," Karen replies, chuckling lightly.

Sleep is imminent, and they'll have to part ways in a few minutes, but for the time being, there's no place they would rather be than wrapped up in each other's arms.

"I love you, Kay," Karen whispers against the top of her head.

Lips press against her bare sternum—she'll throw clothes on as soon as Kayla leaves for the guest room—and the vibration of Kayla's words makes her skin sing.

"Love you more, Kare."

Fitz is an incredibly precautious and protective father-to-be, as it turns out, and while it's endearing to Olivia when he brings her a cold water bottle (even without asking) or when he rubs her lower back (before the twinges of pain start), it's slightly obnoxious when he's hauling her out of bed to clean her up and make her go pee, after amazing, mind-blowing sex.

He unsurprisingly brings her a glass of water, unprompted, and she thanks him before grabbing some clean panties from the drawer and slipping them on. When he leads her back to bed, he helps her get situated, arranging the pillows, and adjusting the fan to how she likes, and finally when she's comfortable, he shuts off the lights and climbs in behind her.

"You are my favorite person ever," Liv mumbles in her half-asleep state.

"Good thing you're stuck with me, then," he teases softly, voice deep and low in her ear.

"Forever?" She asks, feigning shock, wiggling back as close as she can get to him.

"Forever, my love."
